I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the rejected one
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaam Ashraful Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ. Bi madadikum wa nazarekum Sayyidi ya Rasulul Kareem (The Most Generous Messenger), Ya Habibul ‘Azim (The Beloved of the Magnificent). Wa Atiullah wa atiur Rasul wa Ulul amre minkum.
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulul amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Always a reminder for myself ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that I’m still in existence.
All of Heavens and Earth are Subjected Onto Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ (Holy Qur’an, 45:13)
Alhamdulillah, we entered into Jumadul Awwal and the ayatul kareem (generous verse of holy Qur’an) that we talked from last night in the power of 45. The reality of the number of 45 in Surah al-Jathiyah and ayatul kareem – “Sakhkhara lakum maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ard.”
(Surat Al Jathiya)
“And He has subjected to you (Sayyidina Mahmood ﷺ, all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth [Muhammadan Kingdom], it is all from Him; Behold, in that are Signs indeed for those who reflect/Contemplate [Meditate].” (The Crouching, 45:13)
That Allah (AJ) is describing for us that, ‘I have subjected all of the heavens, all of the earths, all of them onto you Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It is a sign for those whom are from the people of tafakkur and contemplation.’
Allah (AJ) Can Only Be Found in the Heart of the Believer
We talked about that all the teaching that brings us to this ocean of reality, that this a spiritual journey into the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That to understand that our soul and our light is from the ocean of Muhammadun Rasulullah ﷺ. That neither Allah (AJ) can be found in the heavens or on Earth but except in the heart of His believer, his reality is called Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. In that heart, Allah (AJ) will be found.
‘An Wahab ibn Munabbeh, Qala Rasulallahi ﷺ, Qala Allah (AJ): “Maa wasi’anee laa samayee, wa la ardee, laakin wasi’anee qalbi ‘Abdi al Mu’min.” [Hadith al Qudsi, Al Ghazali fi al Ihyaa, wa Ibn ‘Arabi fi al Tarajim, Safha 224]
Narrated by Wahab the son of Munabbeh that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, that Allah (AJ) said: “Neither My Heavens nor My Earth can contain Me, but the heart of my Believing Servant.” [Holy Hadith, by Imam al-Ghazali in Al Ihya, and by Ibn ‘Arabi in al Tarajib, Page 224]
As Children of Adam, We Have Been Honoured (Holy Qur’an, 17:70)
The tariqahs (spiritual paths) are paths into that reality. So that they described in the previous month, a fire in which Nabi Musa (as) saw and entered into that portal, a dimension not from this dimension, a reality within the heavens that Allah (AJ) allowed that fire to appear upon the Earth and enter into that reality to appear in that highest reality within the paradise oceans which is in the heart of the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ which in that heart can be found the Divinely Presence.
Until we know ourself, we won’t know our lord. It means we won’t know that which governs us until we make the journey inward and not outward. As soon as we take a path to go within ourself and see the greatness of what Allah (AJ) has bestowed within us, the gift that Allah (AJ) has given to us of a heart in which to find His Divinely Presence; not a gift that been given to any other creation. That for that reason, Allah (AJ), “Wa laqad karramna Bani Adam” – ‘I have honoured your creation. That I gave you a heart like a vessel of gold. That if you clean it and purify it, it will become My house. Only in My house you’ll enter in and you’ll find your reality. You’ll find Me within that heart.’
17:70 – “Wa laqad karramna bani adama…” (Surat al Isra)
“And We have certainly honored the children of Adam…” (The Night Journey 17:70)
Every Single Thing is Subjected to Prophet ﷺ
So, this is a journey to the lord of power. This is a journey to the reality of Allah (AJ) of what He wants to bestow upon us. Then it clarifies for us that once you entered into your soul, you found that your soul is not yours, but it’s a drop – a drop of light within an ocean of light. That that light is called Muhammadun Rasulullah ﷺ because “La ilaha illAllah” means ‘don’t look here.’ There’s nothing but Allah (AJ) in the ocean of “La ilaha illAllah” and Allah’s (AJ) Might and Majesty is a power reflected onto Muhammadun Rasulullah ﷺ.
So, this is a journey towards our reality, towards the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. On this fifth month, by the power of the sultan and the power of 9, it opens the secret of 45. Ayatul kareem in Surat al-Jathiyah is describing for us that, ‘I have subjected to you.’ So, that’s what’s we talked about last night. ‘Everything on heavens, everything on Earth is a subject of yours.’ (Holy Qur’an, 45:13) Because when you’re a king, everything is subjected to you. They call you the sovereign because you are the owner of it, of everything within it. Allah (AJ), “Wa jamee’an” and clarifies for anyone trying to wiggle out something that is not subject to it, Allah (AJ) put within that legal phrase that capture all – that lock everything. Nothing can escape from “Jamee’an”. So, you can’t say, ‘Oh, it’s this.’ No, Allah (AJ) say, ‘Everything. Angels are subject to you. Heavens and paradises are subject to you. Judgment is subject to you. Healing is subject to you.’ Everything because anything you try to escape from it, Allah (AJ), ‘Jamee’an. No, no, no, everything.’
Whose Hand is the Dominion/Kingdom Over Everything? (Holy Qur’an, 36:83)
Also, Surat Al YaSeen ﷺ describes…what was the ending of Surat YaSeen? Subhan… I’ll give you a hint.
Audience: “Subhanal ladhee biyadihi Malakotu kulli shay in wa ilayhi turja’oon.”
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: Kulli shay in…
Audience: Wa ilayhi turja’oon.
36:83 – “Fasubhanal ladhee biyadihi Malakotu kulli shay in wa ilayhi turja’oon.” (Surat YaSeen)
“Therefore Glory be to Him in Whose hand is the dominion/ kingdom over everything in heavens, and to Him you will be returned.” (YaSeen, 36:83)
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: The English would be what? ‘Glory be to Allah (AJ) in whom He put the dominion within that hand, wa kulli shay.’ That everything is on the hand that dominion that Allah (AJ) has given. It means Allah’s (AJ) praising Himself, His subhan, to the power He has given. ‘My glory be upon that hand that contains all dominion.’ “Kulli shay,” again, we capture all verse so that nobody can squirm out of it that kulli shay. That everything is under the dominion of that hand. Surah YaSeen is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ , is the heart of Qur’an, is the name of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. To its reality, you will return.
Those Who Understand the Sultanate and Authority are Those Who Contemplate (Holy Qur’an, 45:13)
So, it means that wherever we look from what Allah (AJ) teaching awliyaullah (saints) from Holy Qur’an because they are servants of the reality so they have to know whom they serve. Their service to Allah (AJ) is in the service to Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. They are subjects within his domain and within his kingdom. His kingdom encompasses everything of the heavens and everything of the earths, of the mulk and malakut. Anything manifesting is under that kingdom. Anything not manifesting in the world of lights that we cannot see, but are in existence which would be above the sama and into the heavens, they’re under the dominion. Then going to the micro that every atom is under the dominion and authority of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Every nucleus, every electron – everything because kulli shay, wa jamee’an.
That, ‘Anything you can discover, it is under the sultanate and authority, that we gave you sovereignty over it. That you are the one whom governs it, watches it. Every authority with you has been given over it.’ So they…Allah (AJ) said, ‘They don’t truly understand except those people whom they are from the people of tafakkur in which they contemplate.’
Allah (AJ) Gave the Alif to Hamd to Become Ahmad ﷺ
That they go to the depth of that ayah (verse) that Allah (AJ) is describing that how he’s in charge of everything. How then is he governing? With what authority and what power Allah (AJ) gave to the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ to govern the atomic state of everything? In what speed the electrons move? What is the structure of the atom and the nucleuses. The minute is more amazing than you look on the outside. You look on the outside and say, ‘Oh, the planets, ok, maybe he’s governing with this certain power he has. But every atom that makes the planet, every electron that makes everything, every speed of every electron and its movements and how they’re moving and not colliding. That’s when you say, ‘Allahu Akbar’ (Allah (AJ) is the greatest) because it’s beyond imagination. This is to Allah’s (AJ) ‘Azimat and greatness. Allah (AJ), “Sakhkhara lakum” – ‘I have given that all its authority to you.’
So, it means with what power Allah (AJ) has given to Nabi Muhammad ﷺ? Huh, Jawad? Just you think. It means that’s when Allah (AJ) gave the reality of hamd (praise) and dressed it with His ‘Alif’. He gave an alif from His Izzah and His Might. From His Divinely Presence, He gave that alif to the reality of hamd and made that hamd to become ‘Ahmad ﷺ.’ With the reality of the alif and with the Izzatullah and Allah’s (AJ) Might and Majesty, He dressed that reality. By the power of that alif, all of these are of a Divinely grace and Divinely powers.
Love Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ More Than You Love Yourself
So, then imagine that all of that power, all of that reality. That’s why awliyaullah (saints) come into our life and teaching us that: if you want to reach to Allah’s (AJ) power, you want to reach to Allah’s (AJ) grace, you want to reach to Allah (AJ)’s satisfaction, love Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Love Prophet ﷺ more than we love ourselves.
Wa ‘an ‘Umar (as) qala: “Fawajadtu nafsi aqoolo: Wallahi ya Rasulullahi, inni uhibbuka!
Faqala lahu anNabiyu ﷺ: “Akthara min ahlika ya ‘Umar?” Qultu: Na’am. Qala ﷺ: “Akthara min malika ya ‘Umar?”, Qultu: Na’am. Qala ﷺ: “Akthara min nafsika ya ‘Umar?”, Qala: La.
Faqala anNabiyu ﷺ: “La ya ‘Umar, la yakmulu imanoka hatta akuna ahabba ilayka min nafsika.”
Yaqoolo ‘Umar (as): Fakhrajtu fafakkartu. [Sahih al-Bukhari, al-Majladu al-Rabi’o, raqm al-hadith 594]
Narrated by Sayyidina ‘Umar (as) that he said: “I found myself saying, ‘By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, I love you!’ The Prophet (pbuh) said to him, ‘Is it more than your love for your family, O ‘Umar?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ He (pbuh) said, ‘Is it more than your love for your wealth, O ‘Umar?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘Is it more than your love for yourself, O ‘Umar?’ He said, ‘No.’
The Prophet (pbuh), said, ‘No, O ‘Umar, your faith will not be complete until I become more beloved to you than your own self.’ Sayyidina ‘Umar (as) said: So I went out and thought. Then I returned and shouted, ‘By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, you are more beloved to me than myself.’ The Prophet (pbuh) said, ‘Now, O ‘Umar, now [you got it].’ [Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 4, Hadith #594]
Our Acts and Service of Love Bring Us Closer in Proximity to Prophet ﷺ
Live a life in service to that reality and find a way to serve the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That’s why the mawlid (celebrating the birthday of Prophet ﷺ). That’s why the zikr (Divine remembrance). That’s why the salawats (praises upon Prophet ﷺ). That’s why the association. That’s why the sunnah (traditions) of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ because these are all the acts of love and muhabbat that bring us into that ocean. For there is nothing that we can do that can gain that; not our salah (daily prayers) and not our zakah (charity) and not our sawm (fasting) and not our hajj (pilgrimage) can gain the proximity of that reality because it’s only granted by Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Right?
So, then everything has to be by muhabbat and love. That Prophet ﷺ, when he told this hadith, Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as) began to whirl. That opened up the immensity of the realities of sama and the realities of whirling. That when Prophet ﷺ described, ‘You’ll be with whom you love.’
‘An Anasin (ra): … Faqala (Rasulullahi) ﷺ: “Anta ma’a man ahbabta.”
Narrated Anas ibn Malik (ra) that …the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “You will be with whom you love.” [Source: Muslim 7520]
You Can Only Reach the Door of High Realities With Sincere Love
That was the key for all of these realities. Because imagine to be taught all these realities, but to remind yourself your prayers will never get them. Your zakah will never get them. You’ll not get any of those realities that they’re talking about by your actions, by your amal. They can only be achieved through that holy hadith that Prophet ﷺ gave to his holy companions, ‘You will be with whom you love.’ It means the only door to these high level realities is love and muhabbat. The love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is the only thing that draws us into that reality. We pray, we fast, we give. We do all of those things to perfect the character. But the only way to enter into these realities is by love and love for the reality of Prophet ﷺ.
That’s why the character. That’s why the good character. That’s why stepping upon the ego and not making ourselves to be fiery, not making ourself to be bad, not to make ourself aggressive. All, all of those whom have suffered in the way, they suffered for the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ because they said to themselves, ‘For your love, your love to be upon me, I will bring myself down. I will be nothing. I will not open my mouth. I will not speak.’ They humiliated themself for the purpose of that love and that ishq to show their good character.
Nabi Musa (as) Effaced Himself to Gain the Love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
That was a reminder from Sayyidina Musa (as). He wanted the knowledges. He wanted the reality and he subjected himself to the difficulty of Sayyidina Khidr (as) – from beginning, insulted him. From the six great prophets of Allah (AJ), he meets a Muhammadiyoon and immediately, the testing begins. That, ‘You are not going to be able to tolerate me. How could you tolerate me when you have little knowledge of something?’
18:68 – “Wa kayfa tasbiru ‘ala ma lam tuhit bihi khubra.” (Surat alKahf)
“And how can you have patience for what you do not encompass in knowledge?” (The Cave)
From beginning to end, he insulted Sayyidina Musa (as). Why Sayyidina Musa (as) took that? Because he wanted where the two rivers meet. ‘I want the reality of La ilaha illAllah and I want the reality of Muhammadun Rasulullah, and I want to be from where they meet at the reality of Hu.’ “La ilaha illAllah Hu Muhammadun Rasulullah ﷺ.
18:60 “Wa idh qala Mosa lefatahu laa abrahu hatta ablugha majma’a albahrayni aw amdiya huquba.” (Surat al Kahf)
“Behold, Moses said to his attendant, “I will not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas or (until) I spend years and years in travel.” (The Cave, 18:60)
So, Allah (AJ) showing that from His great prophets, from the six great prophets that example. That no matter how this station, for the sake and the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, they effaced themselves to bring down and to be nothing so that to gain the love and admiration of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
Prophet ﷺ Sits Upon the Divinely Throne, Allah (AJ) Sits Within His Heart
We pray that Allah (AJ) dress us from this ayatul kareem (generous verse of the Holy Qur’an). We said this is a month in which to repeat that ayah (verse) and reminding ourself, ‘Ya Rabbi, everything in the hand…You have given all of this into the hands of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. I’m asking to keep my head at his holy feet and that You relieve me of difficulties. Take away distress. Fix anything in my rizq (sustenance). Fix anything in my character.’ All of those, this is the month to ask through that ayah.
When you tafakkur and contemplate and meditate on these realities, then we begin to understand Ayatul Kursi (verse of the throne). Why Allah (AJ) needs a chair and what chair could possibly hold Allah (AJ)? So, it means that Allah (AJ) doesn’t sit on a chair, but creation sits on a chair and Allah (AJ) sits within his Divinely heart. So, then begins more and more opening of the realities of Holy Qur’an. That what kind of authority Allah (AJ) has given to the reality and to the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ? We pray that Allah (AJ) dress us and bless us from the immensity of these lights and these blessings.
Sayyidina Muhammad’s ﷺ Light was Created Before All Else
That we talked last night about the coming of Sayyidina Isa (as) and the immensity of these lights and the dressings and blessings that are coming upon the Earth and what that reality, it contains. That even for the level of the ‘ulama (scholars) who understand hadith al Jabir. That when Sayyidina Jabir ask, ‘Ya Rasulullah ﷺ, what was the first thing that Allah (AJ) created?’ ‘And the light of your Nabi ﷺ. Before there was a heaven, before there was an ‘arsh, before there was a Baitul Mamur, my light was created.’
‘An Jabir (ra) Qala: Qultu: Ya RasulAllah Sallallahu Alayhi wa sallam, “Bi Abi anta wa Ummi, Akhberni ‘an awwala shayin Khalqahu Allahu qablal ashyayi?” Qala ﷺ: “Ya Jabir, in Allah khalaqa qablal Ashiya e Nooru Nabiyika min Noorehi. Faj’ala dhalikan Noore yadoro bil Qudrati haithu sha Allahu, wa lam yakun fi dhalikal waqti lawhun wa la qalamun, wa la Jannatun wa la Narun, wa la Mulkun, wa la samaun wa la ardun, wa la Shamsun wa la Qamarun, wa la insun wa la jinnun.” [rawayati ‘Abdir Razzaq fi Musannafatin]”
Jabir ibn `Abdallah (ra) said to the Prophet (pbuh): “O Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you, tell me of the first thing Allah created before all things.” He (Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “O Jabir, the first thing Allah created was the light of your Prophet from His (Allah’s) light, and that light remained (lit/”turned”) in the midst of His Power for as long as He wished, and at that time, there was no Tablet and no Pen, and no Paradise and no Fire, and no angel, and no heaven and no earth, and no Sun and no Moon, and No Human being and no jinn.” [Narrated by Abdur Razzaq]
Every Being in Malakut is Dressed With Meem, Without Ego
Well, then that means that the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is everything. Every angel is Nurul Muhammad ﷺ (light of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ). Who’s Sayyidina Jibreel (as)? Is from the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. So, in the world of malakut (heavenly realm), they are called malakut because Allah (AJ) gave them a meem because are the most purified Muhammadan lights. They don’t have a nafs (ego). So, any hadith of Sayyidina Jibreel (as) coming close is the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
So, alhamdulillah, they just have to ponder and think and remember that everything is from that light. So, alhamdulillah, inshaAllah, Allah (AJ) give us a life in which to see the arrival of Sayyidina Isa (as) and Sayyidina Mahdi (as) onto this Earth and to bring the Muhammadan kingdom upon this Earth, inshaAllah.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
