Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum and a reminder for myself Ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl. By the Grace of Allah (AJ), we are still in existence and we took a path in which to be nothing.
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat An-Nisa)
“… Obey Allah, Obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
In this holy month of Rabbiul Awwal, Allah (AJ) granted us a tremendous gift to see this holy month, a life in which to see these nights open and the tajallis (manifestations) open. The reality of ‘Meem Ha, Meem Daal’, Nabi Muhammad ﷺ, is not something that its reality opened per chance onto this dunya (material world). But the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and every reality of Allah (AJ), is an ancient reality, that was already written from qadim (ancient). When Allah (AJ) wrote is beyond comprehension.
The Decoration Upon the Pot is Not Important
Awliya (saints) come into our lives and there are many different ways of teaching the same thing. One is from Sayyidina Jalaludin Rumi (Q), teaching that this dunya is like a pot for flower. And that the insan (human being) and the person is like a vase or pot that holds a flower. That no matter how much the vase is ornate and how much decoration the pot has upon it, it’s not important. The importance of the decoration upon the pot is of no importance. But that the pot took an understanding of emptiness. [P]
“When everyone is trying to be something, be nothing. Range with emptiness. Humans should be like a pot. As the pot is held by its emptiness inside, human is held by the awareness of its nothingness.” – Shams Tabriz
“It is not the decorations outside but the emptiness inside that holds us straight.” – Shams Tabriz
It means that you never know in which way awliya (saints) are teaching that may all of sudden enter into the heart of someone. They say it’s not the vase that makes this to be important. If it’s all so beautifully ornate but it doesn’t understand that it has to be empty.
Empty Yourself Like a Pot and Allah (AJ) Will Plant Realities
When it understood it’s reality that I am just a pot. No matter how much you beautify me, I still have to take a path in which to be nothing. Because the pot being filled with itself and love of itself is of no value. It’s just a pot loving itself. So they came and began to teach, ‘no, the reality of that pot, is that it should be nothing.’ It should take a path in which to enter its nothingness. So that Allah (AJ) can begin to plant what Allah (AJ) wants to plant within that reality. In its nothingness, its reality appears and the firmness of its reality will begin to appear. If the pot understood to be nothing, Allah (AJ) will not grow yourself into it, but Allah’s (AJ) realities and haqaiqs. Like the roses, they begin to grow only when this vase understands that it’s nothing. Then the beatific reality begins to appear. Once the beatific reality appears, then no matter how much you make it ornate and how much you make it beautiful, it doesn’t matter. At least it understood in its nothingness for Allah’s (AJ) flowers and beauties to appear. Material world, they’re stuck on themselves. They’re stuck on the beauty of their pot and what they think they know, what they think they achieve and yet never took a path in which to train to be nothing.
Secrets of the Name of Muhammad ﷺ
Meem Ha, Meem Daal – Malik al Hayat, Malik al Dunya
Then Allah (AJ) inspired all His creation and Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, being the cream of that reality, the pinnacle of that reality, just in the huroof of his holy name, Malik al Hayat wa Malik al Dunya. Meem, Ha – Malik al Hayat. Meem, daal – Malik al Dunya, the king of this dunya (material world). That Allah (AJ) inspired all creation, no matter what I gave to you, come back to the pot. Whatever I gave to you of title, whatever I gave to you of position, whether I gave you to be a Prophet ﷺ, whether I gave you to be a king, whether I gave you to be a merchant, whether I gave you to be nothing, these are just the decor of your pot. Be nothing.
This means then, they approached that reality through the daal. The meem ha, meem daal – the meem to the right is the Divinely Presence, the closest towards the heavens. So, you approach from the left going to the right. They know meem, ha, meem, daal – it’s easy. This is the easy one, inshaAllah.
Malik al Dunya – King of Manifested Worlds
Daal Represents the Dalail al Khairat, the Best of Guides
So, meem, ha, meem, daal. You approach from this daal. It means that the reality of that daal is the Dalail al Khayrat. He’s the best of guides. When Allah (AJ) wants all creation that come to this sultanate (kingdom), come to this reality. That come to this daal; he is the guide for all creation. So, we recite Dalail al Khairat as a part of our awrad. That it has the best of guidance and it’s an ancient reality from Allah (AJ), so you have to come to the guide of Allah (AJ). That guidance of Allah (AJ), when they begin to say, ya Rabbi, I want to be guided in this dunya (material world), Allah (AJ) begin to reveal to them the king and the sultanate of this dunya. And that everything is under that sultanate of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That, that malik and the king of all of this mulk that is appearing, everything of the world of form. The king of that is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It means then at that point, in their ma’rifah (gnosticism) they understood that there must be a king, there must be a representative on this earth and there must be khalifa. And Allah (AJ) reveal to all His holy books, there is a khalifa (deputy).
2:30 – “Wa idh qala rabbuka lil Malayikati innee ja’ilun fil ardi khaleefatan,…” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, “Indeed, I will make upon the earth a Deputy/Representative…” (The Cow, 2:30)
All Prophets Are Representatives of One Khalifa
There is only one khalifa (deputy) and many agents and representatives for that khalifa. So, then we take from the example of the prophets of Allah (AJ) whom were given the highest reality which means they were given the highest and the greatest honour. When Nabi Musa (as) reached to that door. Because they were given the reality of dunya (material world), not the reality of their akhirah (afterlife) yet. Everyone is on this road of ma’rifah. When a nabi (prophet) of Allah (AJ), he’s a guide and through guiding his people and Allah (AJ) guiding himself (Musa (as)) to his own ma’rifah (gnosticism). Comes now the pot, that no matter what I gave to you because they are the highest example so that everyone lower can understand, lower yourself, be nothing. If a nabi (prophet) of Allah (AJ) is saying, ‘I’m speaking to Allah (AJ), ya Rabbi, let me to see you. I want to see who I’m talking to.’ And Allah (AJ) says, ‘There is no way for you to see Me, I’ll show you My glory.’ As soon as Nabi Musa (as) went to go see that glory to recognize that reality, Allah (AJ) revealed His glory upon the mountain and Nabi Musa (as) out like death, like passed out.
7:143 – “Wa lamma jaa Musa limeeqatina wa kallamahu Rabbuhu, qala rabbi arinee anzhur ilayka, Qala lan taranee wa lakini onzhur ilal jabali fa inistaqarra makanahu, fasawfa taranee, falamma tajalla Rabbuhu lil jabali ja`alahu, dakkan wa kharra Musa sa`iqan, falamma afaqa qala subhanaka tubtu ilayka wa ana awwalul Mumineen.” (Surat Al-A’raf)
“And when Moses arrived at Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he said, “My Lord, show me [Yourself] that I may look at You.” [Allah] said, “you will not see Me, but look at the mountain; if it should remain in its place, then you will see Me.” But when his Lord manifested His glory on the mountain, He made it as dust, and Moses fell unconscious. And when he awoke/recovered his senses, he said, “Glory be to You! to You I turn in repentance, and I am the first of the believers.” (The Heights. 7:143)
Nabi Musa (Moses) (as) Witnessed Nurul Muhammadi ﷺ
The tajalli (manifestation) of what was seen and the reality of what was seen obliterated every aspect of the character and the nafs (ego). Completely obliterated, at that time, Nabi Musa (as) witnessed what Allah (AJ) wanted his prophet to witness. He witnessed the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, Nurul Muhammad ﷺ. From witnessing that reality, came back to say that, ‘my life, my death, everything, Anna awal ul Muslimeen‘. It means he took the shahada (testimony of faith) and the understanding that I am the first of the Muslims. I’m first of those who submit myself of what I saw of this reality.
Say, “Indeed, my prayer, my services of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. No partner has He; and this I have been commanded, and I am the first of those who submit.” (The Cattle, 6:162-163)
Nabi Musa (as) Sought Where the Two Rivers of Kalima Meet
La Ilaha IllAllaHu Muhammadan RasulAllah ﷺ
Nabi Musa (as) witnessed the reality and the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. At that time, moving and teaching that from what I witnessed in my soul of the king of this sultanate (kingdom), the king of the heavens, ya Rabbi, I won’t stop until where these two rivers meet.
18:60 – “Wa idh qala Musa lefatahu laa abrahu hatta ablugha majma’a albahrayni aw amdiya huquba.” (Surat Al-Kahf)
“Behold, Moses said to his attendant, I will not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas or (until) I spend years and years in travel.” (The Cave, 18:60)
The two rivers, awliyaullah (saints) come and teach is la ilaha illallah Muhammadun RasulAllah ﷺ. I will not stop until these two rivers where they meet, means where la ilaha illallah – ha, waw points to meem of the Muhammad ﷺ. It means from the Hu of Allah (AJ), directs itself to Muhammadun RasulAllah ﷺ. It’s enough for us to understand that it directed, the Hu directed itself to the meem. The kalima was showing Sayyidina Musa (as) that if you want where these two haqaiqs are meeting, its door is Muhammadun RasulAllah ﷺ.
“La ilaha illallahu Muhammadun Rasulallah”
“There is no deity but Allah, Prophet Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.”
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is Malik al Hayat – the King of Oceans of Eternity
That Hu is the reality of the Ha of this meem ha. Because now from the daal of guidance, he came to the haqaiq of the meem of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That lost everything of himself, emptied his pot. It means no matter what title I have, what birthright I have, whoever I think I am, you are nothing in the presence of Prophet ﷺ. Be nothing, take a path of nothingness. They have to be trained in that path of nothingness. At that time, Prophet ﷺ will open now come to the hayat (eternal life). Come to my ha because I’m Malik al Hayat, I am the king of everything that is given a life. Every ocean of hayat exists within this reality. Everything that given a life is existing within that and Prophet ﷺ is the king and the owner of that reality.
So, it means if we want to reach towards that reality, this love of Prophet ﷺ is essential for everything. That they’re entering into that reality. They are understanding the sultanate of Prophet ﷺ. Then Allah (AJ) begin to inspire that this ocean of eternal life, this ocean of the reality of hayat, you have to enter into that hayat (eternal life). You have to enter into where the two rivers meet. The sign for Nabi Musa (as) was where the dead fish came to life and jumped into the spring.
18:63 – “Qala araayta idh awayna ilas sakhrati fa-innee naseetu alhoota wa ma ansaneehu illash shaytanu an adhkurahu, wat takhadha sabeela hu fee al bahri ‘ajaba.” (Surat Al-Kahf)
“He said, Did you see when we retired to the rock? Indeed, I forgot [there] the fish. And none made me forget it except Satan – that I should mention it. And it took its course into the sea amazingly.” (The Cave, 18:63)
Sayyidina Isa (as) Was Kept Alive to Witness Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
It was same for Sayyidina Isa (Jesus) (as). All the Prophets of Allah (AJ), they relinquished their title for the greater reality. And Sayyidina Isa (as) said from what you gave to me of realities, don’t let me to die without taking my shahada (testimony of faith) from Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Allah (AJ) accepted the dua (supplication) of Sayyidina Isa (as) and kept him alive to witness Prophet ﷺ. To witness that reality, to be under ummat Muhammad ﷺ. That I don’t want that title for myself, the greatest title is to be under the flag of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It means then they were taken to the oceans of al-Hayat.
Board the Ship of Awliya, They Take You to Oceans of Al-Hay Al-Qayyum
That these khatm and these zikrs that awliyaullah (saints) are authorizing these associations, they are like we described before when we were talking to some people. They’re like a tram, a shuttle, that from there’s one seat here and through a wire, it goes all the way into the malakut (heavenly realm). Everybody boards that tram. As soon as the zikr starts, these awliyaullah (saints) who are in charge of these oceans of al-Hayat. Everything that being recited in the zikr is a dress upon the soul. Your body may be sitting here, don’t understand why is it sitting here, maybe it’s hungry for dinner. They don’t care. This is a reality of the soul. As soon as they begin the zikr, the soul entered their tram, entered their ship. And this ship now is moving. As it’s moving, it’s moving towards the presence of Malik al Hayat.
When they’re making the zikr of ‘Hu’. When they’re making the zikr of ‘Hay’. When they make the zikr of ‘Qayyum’. All of these are dress upon the soul. As soon as they say Hay, Hay, the souls are being dumped into the oceans of hayat. Being washed into the oceans of hayat. As soon as they say Qayyum, takes it out and puts it into the oceans of eternity. The haq of Allah (AJ) is Hayyu al Qayyum. Ha of al Hayat, qaf of Qayyum, the haq of Allah (AJ) is the reality of the soul. Dresses it from the Hay, dresses it from the Qayyum, every zikr that being made by their authority is a dress upon the souls. These are like trams that taking people into the malakut (heavenly realm). These are not for entertainment purposes. These awliyaullah (saints) are guiding through the soul of these realities.
They begin to teach on this tram. This is the way of ma’rifah (gnosticism), that don’t for a moment think that you are moving now into the presence of Allah (AJ). Allah (AJ) is far beyond anything that can be imagined. This ocean of realities of hayat, it’s not Allah (AJ). Allah (AJ) is beyond Hay. Because Allah (AJ) described we created ‘Hay’ and ‘mayt’. We created life and death to test you. Allah (AJ) is not Hay, is not Mayt. Allah (AJ) not death and not life. Life and death is for us that we are from creation.
67:2 – “Alladhee khalaqal Mawta wal Hayata liyabluwakum ayyukum ahsanu ‘amalan, wa huwal ‘Azizu ul Ghafoor.” (Surat Al-Mulk)
“He Who created Death and Life, to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed – and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving .” (The Sovereignty, 67:2)
The Second Meem of Muhammad (s) is Bahrul Muheet (All Encompassing Ocean of Realities)
So this Malik al Hayat, is a reality and a soul that Allah (AJ) created. And they’re taking us on these zikrs and on this way of ma’rifah to dress us from that ocean of al-Hayat. And when they reach the meem of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, Bahrul Muhit (All-Encompassing Ocean of Realities), that that meem of malakut (heavenly realm) of mulk (earthly realm), all of them. Allah (AJ) encoded for us to understand. Why is called malakut? It’s Prophet ﷺ. Why is it called mulk? It’s Prophet ﷺ. Everything has a meem. Every reality of that reality has a meem.
At that time, when they were dressed in the oceans of al-Hayat (eternal life), they blessed from the oceans of al-Hayat, Allah (AJ) then begin to open for him this reality of malakut, this Bahrul Muhit. This last meem is an all-encompassing meem of Muhammadun RasulAllah ﷺ. That every creation exists within that meem. Outside of that meem is not for us, that’s la ilaha illallah. Everything is existing in this meem of Muhammadun RasulAllah ﷺ [the 1st Meem connected to ha]. Out here [outside the meem] la ilaha illallah means don’t look here, this not your place. You’re from creation, we’re from creation. This Bahrul Muhit, that everything exists within this meem is creation. Everything else is Allah’s (AJ) realities that have nothing to do with us. Everything is in this meem. Everything must be found within this meem. Outside is la ilaha illallah. Allah (AJ) says don’t look to here, this is not your reality. [img4]
Allah (AJ) Sits Upon the Heart of the King of Both Worlds, Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
Don’t contemplate the Creator, but contemplate the creation. And the best of creation is Muhammadun RasulAllah ﷺ.
‘An Abi Ja’far (as) qala: “Iyakum wat tafakkaru fillahi wa lakin idha aradtum an tunzaro ila ‘azamatihi fanzaro ila ‘azimi khalqihi.”
Abu Ja’far (A) said, “Beware of tafakkur in God. But if you wish to view His grandeur, observe the great of His creations.”
So the sultan and the soul that encompasses every reality is Muhammadun RasulAllah ﷺ. And Allah (AJ) described that is the king and I sit upon his throne. I sit upon his heart. This means izzatullah (Allah’s (AJ) Might and Magnificence) and the might of Allah (AJ) sits upon the heart and the soul of Prophet ﷺ. That’s why those hadiths. When Allah (AJ) talking about ‘qalabil mumin baitullah’. He’s not talking about us, although we’d like to think that. [Pic]
“Qalb al mu’min baytur rabb.”
“The heart of the believer is the House of the Lord.” Hadith Qudsi
Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is the Insan al Kamil and His Heart is Manzil al Qur’an
In the haqaiq, in the highest part of the reality, and Allah (AJ) says, ‘I’m not on heavens and I’m not anywhere on earth, I’m only on the heart of my believer.’ The only believer for Allah (AJ) that contains every reality is Muhammadun RasulAllah ﷺ.
“Maa wasi`anee laa Samayee, wa la ardee, laakin wasi’anee qalbi ‘Abdee al Mu’min.”
”Neither My Heavens nor My Earth can contain Me, but the heart of my Believing Servant.” (Hadith Qudsi conveyed by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh))
So, this big reality, this soul that awliyaullah (saints) describe is a soul Insan e Kamil, that everything is within that soul, in that reality. The power of that qalb (heart) because we can’t understand other than our physical. The power of that reality is Allah (AJ). The power of that reality is Allah (AJ) and that’s why the heart of that reality, Manzil al Qur’an. Manzil al Qur’an is coming out from the heart of that reality. Every reality is flowing from the heart of that reality.
So then imagine the power of Mawlid un Nabi ﷺ. When we don’t understand the greatness of our Messenger ﷺ, we don’t have any understanding of the greatness of the reality. So awliyaullah come say first thing to do is establish the Milad (celebration of Prophet’s ﷺ birth) so that Allah (AJ) will begin to open all of these realities. That everything within that ocean and that Allah’s (AJ) Might and Majesty sit upon the heart of that reality. And that everything emanating from that reality.
Inside the All-Encompassing Meem, Remains Hamd and the Power of Creation
Then we begin to understand, Nabi Ahmad ﷺ. That reality of the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, that meem that everything is within that, now begin to contemplate the huroof. If the meem is all-encompassing, what remains inside is a hamd. If the meem is all-encompassing, what remains inside is a hamd. So, then what’s the power of this creation? Hamd (praise). ‘Yusabi hu wa bihamdi’. [Img4]
17:44 – “Tusabbihu lahus samawatus sab’u wal ardu wa man fee hinna wa in min shayin illa yusabbihu bihamdihi wa lakin la tafqahoona tasbeehahum innahu kana haleeman ghafoora.” (Surat Al-Isra)
“The seven heavens and the earth and whatever is in them exalt [praises] Him. And there is not a thing except that it exalts [Allah] by His praise, but you do not understand their [way of] exalting/praising. Indeed, He is ever Forbearing and Forgiving.” (The Night Journey 17:44)
Creation Will Be Annihilated if Allah’s (AJ) Zikr Comes onto Them
‘Bihamdi’. Awliyaullah (saints) come and tell that if you think Allah’s (AJ) praise is empowering this creation, Allah (AJ) clarifies, ‘If I praise and release My Qur’an onto a mountain, it will be khashi’a. It will be dust.’
59:21 – “Law anzalna hadha alQurana ‘ala jabalin laraaytahu, khashi’an mutasaddi’an min khashyatillahi…” (Surat Al-Hashr)
“Had We sent down this Qur’an on a mountain, verily, you would have seen it obliterated to dust (from its power)…” (The Exile, 59:21)
So if you think Allah’s (AJ), Allah’s (AJ) zikr is keeping the flowers? It would have annihilated all creation. If Allah’s (AJ) zikr came onto the moon, it would have annihilated the moon. If Allah’s (AJ) zikr came upon the earth, it would have annihilated the earth. Nothing can contain the zikr of Allah (AJ).
Power of Allah’s (AJ) Praise Sustains Prophet ﷺ
The ‘Qul’ of Allah (AJ), nothing can contain it, except the qalb (heart) of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Because that ‘Qul’ is only to the ‘Ba’ and the reality of Prophet ﷺ who contains the secret of Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem. That only one who can contain and hold what Allah’s (AJ) orders and zikr and hamd is the reality of Prophet ﷺ. Then, the Muhamd begins to praise and all creation is in that reality. The power of Prophet’s ﷺ praising is sustaining. The power of Allah’s (AJ) praise sustains Prophet ﷺ. And the hamd (praise) of Prophet ﷺ sustains creation.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa wa bi sirri surat al-Fatiha.
