Have Consciousness and Seek a Means to Approach Allah (AJ) (Holy Qur’an, 5:35)
From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi
A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I seek refuge in Allah (AJ) from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ.
Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Everyone Has a Two-Way Ticket to Return After Their Worldly Life
Alhamdulillah for the holy month of Dhul Hijjah and the month of hajj (pilgrimage). This is the pilgrimage and the ending of 12 months of journeying to the Lord of power and the physical hajj. Every prayer is a hajj and every moment is in a movement towards the reality of hajj, and that we are all hujjaj (pilgrims). As soon as Allah (AJ) sent us from paradise, we’re on a pilgrimage on this Earth.
Everybody has a two-way ticket to return. Now, if their hajj was successful, they should see themselves in a good place in heavens for all of eternity. If they were not successful, then the abodes of difficulty. InshaAllah, Allah (AJ) grant us the intercession of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ for our relief and najat (salvation).
Have a Consciousness and Seek a Means to Approach Allah (AJ) (Holy Qur’an, 5:35)
InshaAllah, Hajji Shahid, we recite surah 5, verse 35, inshaAllah. Junaid, the English line for line. We go slowly, inshaAllah, after he recites the Arabic.
Reciter: “A’uzu Billahi Minash shaitanir Rajeem Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem.
(Surat Al-Mayidah)
“O you who believe! Have consciousness and seek the means of approach unto Him, and strive in his cause: that you may prosper/succeed.” (The Table Spread, 5:35)
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: Wa barakah Rasulul Kareem (The Most Generous Messenger), Ya Habibul ‘Azim (The Magnificent Beloved). InshaAllah, the English.
Reciter: “O people who believe, fear Allah (AJ) and seek the means towards Him and strive in His…”
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: One second. Our life is to have a taqwa and God consciousness. The tariqah (spiritual path) is based on this next word that the party of shaitan (satan) always attacks. Allah (AJ) is ordering the believers, ‘O you who believe that this is our way; it is have a consciousness’. So, if they don’t have a consciousness, they don’t understand this next word called “wasilah” (a means). So, when people deny wasilah, this is the phrase in legally is the reverse: that have a consciousness and seek a means in which to approach Allah (AJ), which in Arabic is wasilah. So, when they deny wasilah, they lack consciousness. What’s the next?
Those Who Translate Jihad as Fighting Others Have No Consciousness to Fight Themselves
Reciter: “And strive in His cause in the hope of attaining success.”
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: So, our life is a jihad (struggle) in Allah’s (AJ) way and that word is struggle. Struggle against yourself. Struggle against your desires. Struggle against shaitan. That shaitan is never relenting. He’s not slowing down. He’s never going to stop. This is the yaqeen (certainty) of his faith, his devoutness to his command. He will never stop. So, then Allah (AJ) gives the formula. This is the law of tariqah is: ‘O all of you who are sincere and you have a consciousness of Allah (AJ) in your entire life, seek a means towards your nearness to Allah (AJ).’
Our life is a wasilah, wasilah. So, all our animes and all our images come out. Wasilah. Those who deny wasilah, Allah (AJ) gives the…they lack consciousness. Without the wasilah, there is no jihad fi sabilillah (struggle in the way of Allah (AJ)). The legal contract is there. So, when hizbul shaitan (party of satan) say there is no wasilah, then any jihad they do is haram (forbidden). Any, any action after that point, they don’t lack any consciousness. That’s why they don’t fight against themselves for good character. They don’t fight against their desires. They just want to beat somebody up. So, between them and a dog is no difference, and a bad dog at that, not even a good loyal dog.
Be Humble to Seek Out Blessings, Not Think You Are the Blessings
So, then this is the verse. Like the legal contracts of tariqah (spiritual path), that the tariqah has to uphold the laws of the Qur’an. Now we’re entering into the month of wasilah (means). So, hajj is the month of seeking a means and the reality of tabarak, blessings. So, all our new people that are coming to new to Islam, what? Islam and the realities of tariqah is wasilah and tabarak.
Our life is a wasilah – seek a means towards Allah (AJ) because you have to be humble to do that and tabarak – seek out blessings because you’re not the blessings. Shaitan doesn’t think like that. So, when he guides somebody, he says, ‘You’re the blessings. What do you need blessings for?’ But the humble admit to themselves, ‘No, no, I’m not the blessings. My life is seeking a means to Allah (AJ) and seeking out blessings.’
We Become Heedless and Arrogant When Negativity Draws Close to Us
Those whom shaitans are too close to them, they’re veiled from understandings. The reality of shaitan is what? When negativity draws close to you, you become ignorant. When negativity draws close to you, you become heedless. Even if you think you’re in religion, you see the people at the park arguing, yelling, exhibiting like the worst of character. Could you imagine any of the Holy Companions doing like that? Even the people who followed the Holy Companions, they wouldn’t be seen in a park like that – arguing, yelling – and they think they’re religious.
So, when shaitan is too close, they become veiled from every act of light. All they begin to perceive is just darkness. They deny the existence of light. They enter now into a cold because now shaitan has turned them away from the light. As a result of cold, they keep taking steps more towards darkness, even falsely thinking they’ve accepted Islam. They came to a religion, whatever it is. They can be walking backwards, thinking they’re facing the light. But shaitan has fooled them to move in a reverse direction. As a result of too much negativity, they neither believe in tawassul (conveyance) and they have no caring for tabarak. When you talk to them, they have like a very arrogant answer, ‘What are you talking about?’ as if everything is within them, greatness is within them. But this is the character of shaitan.
The Greatest Fight in Allah’s Way is Against Ourselves
So, our new people, this is the realities of humility. This is the whole religion. So, we gave the daleel (proof) of Qur’an that is the governing law of why the tariqahs (spiritual path) do what they do. Tawassul, we are by law commanded by Allah (AJ) to seek a means for those who believe and are humble to the nearness of Allah (AJ). You are ordered to fight in Allah’s (AJ) way. It’s a command.
The greatest fight in Allah’s (AJ) way is against ourselves. Otherwise, how can you fight outside if the inside is filthy? It means then you’re just harming people. It’s not for Allah (AJ) and Allah (AJ) doesn’t need anyone to harm His creation. But what Allah (AJ) wants from us is: why you don’t fight your devils? Why are you coming to your prayer infested with negative energies? Why do you govern your life with all these shayateen (devils) and negative energies that you brought upon yourself, you allowed to exist within you?
We Seek a Means for Help in Dunya With No Hesitation
So, the command is to fight them. So, some people think, ‘Oh, the tariqahs, yeah, that’s not like mandatory in Islam. Those people are…they’re doing I don’t know.’ So, no. All of Islam was tariqah. The people whom had God consciousness, they have fear of Allah (AJ) and disappointing the Lord of power ‘Izzati wa Jalalihi, His Might, and His Majesty. As a result, their whole life was they seek a means. You know, if you don’t know accounting, you seek what? An accountant. Why in dunya (material world) shaitan doesn’t play with people unless they have really no mind at all? If you don’t know the law and you getting a letter from somebody, say: ‘Oh my God, what am I going to do now? I don’t understand this process.’ Immediately, you hire an attorney. You get an audit letter. Immediately, you hire an accountant.
Any type of difficulty, the regular ‘aqel (intellect) and the mind of people, they seek a means for their relief because I don’t know how to do this. Can you imagine stressing all night, saying, ‘How am I going to write a legal letter when I don’t know anything about the legal system, the codes, all of the excuses that are available for me?’ Allah (AJ) commands: seek a means. Your wasilah is go find that person who’s an expert and a specialist and let that person struggle for you. So, your accountant, he does jihad (struggle) for you. Your lawyer does jihad for you because all night they’re struggling. They’re finding case law. They’re writing these documents. They take the stress of your life. They take their stress as a means of their profession.
It’s Unacceptable to Fight Others Instead of Fighting Against Your Own Bad Character
So, in our life, we see that in every aspect of our life. People take on the difficulty. They say, ‘This is our specialty, we’ll handle it.’ So, now we come to the holy month of hajj. So, we understand when our people go out and realize the wahabis, what they’re saying. Oh, these are a people whom seek no means.
They have no humility and neither their struggle is accepted by Allah (AJ) because it has nothing to do with Allah (AJ). Because if you’re not being humble, seeking a means to Allah (AJ), what are you fighting? When someone doesn’t want to fight their devils, their vices, their bad character, what are you fighting? Outside? Completely unacceptable.
We Don’t Worship the Kab’ah, But It Gives Us Direction to Draw Near to Our Creator
We come to the holy month of hajj and the people don’t understand that we go through the rituals. Every year, we’ve gone through these rituals. You enter into the holy precincts. What lies before you is a house made from stones. Neither Allah (AJ) is inside that house, but we are commanded to bow down. So, we saw the wasilah (a means) of drawing near to Allah (AJ).
So, anyone who enters into the holy precincts and any new person out there, we don’t worship the Ka’bah. Worshipness is only for Allah (AJ), but it brings us near to our Creator because it gives us a direction. Only purpose you have for the Ka’bah is what? It’s a direction that unifies the nation. As a result, they’re commanded to come; wherever you are, face the holy house, the first house of worship on this Earth for the Creator. Face that direction.
Majority of People Have No Understanding of the Realities of Hajj
Allah (AJ) is not in that stone structure, but we are seeking a wasilah, a means in which to draw near to the Divinely Presence by being humble and following the command. All of its haqqaiqs and realities, awliya (saints) come and explain later, ‘Oh yeah, you know, inside the Ka’bah, there are very precious souls.’
Those are realities later that the people of ma’rifah (gnosticism) understood. But 99%—99.99%—of the nation that coming for hajj, they don’t know the reality. So, what is it that they’re doing by going for hajj? So, all of hajj is a wasilah, all of hajj. All of the rituals of hajj is a wasilah, is a seeking of a means to draw near.
We Pray at Maqamul Ibrahim (as) Out of Love and Respect
Then they have Maqamul Ibrahim (as). They say, at this station — and you’ll see it in the images of the Ka’bah— it’s like a glass dome over two footprints in concrete, which are neither his footprints, but they don’t have the feet of Sayyidina Ibrahim (as). They tell you to pray two rak’ahs (cycles of prayer) at maqam (station) of Sayyidina Ibrahim (as) Why? Because Sayyidina Ibrahim (as) – was his feet were there and they have that from that time? Or this was designed as a respect and ‘ihtiram for Sayyidina Ibrahim (as). They acknowledge to seek a means towards Allah’s (AJ) rida and satisfaction. We are a nation to make Allah (AJ) happy and approach through humility. We pray two rak’ahs at the station of where two footprints of Sayyidina Ibrahim (as) supposedly are. Again, you’re not worshiping two footprints. If so, you’re idol worshiper.
So, see how Prophet ﷺ laid the foundation for Islam: that we’re not a nation of shirk (polytheism). Had he been worried about making partners with Allah (AJ), none of these rituals would have been ordered to be performed. If Prophet ﷺ worried for his nation, a shirk and making polytheist and making partner with Allah (AJ), we would not have been ordered to go to the Ka’bah which is stones. We definitely would not have been ordered to pray two rak’ahs to the feet that are in cast images of two feet. But then, what are these rituals?
We Make Tawaf With Sayyidina Isma’il (as) to Honour His Struggle

So, the nation was not in danger of making partnership with Allah (AJ) of worshipness. It was a nation of humility. Why? Because the immense station of Sayyidina Ibrahim (as) in reference to the hajj (pilgrimage), that he struggled in his life and built this house for Allah (AJ) for his son Sayyidina Isma’il (as).
In the corner of the Ka’bah, there’s like a half circle connected that blocks off people. Inside there is buried the Prophet Sayyidina Isma’il (as) who wahabis call Ahlus Sunnah (people of prophetic tradition) grave worshipers to insult them and say bad words against them because they neither have taqwa (consciousness), and neither they understand wasilah (a means), and neither they have any struggle in Allah’s (AJ) way that’s acceptable. As a result, Allah (AJ) makes the entire nation make tawaf, circumambulate the holy Ka’bah with the body of a prophet buried right there.
We Kiss the Black Stone That Witnesses Our Presence
Why? Because the circumambulation of a holy prophet is not an act of worshipness because you’re not worshiping the prophet, but you’re seeking a means and tabarak. So, even there, they jump over the half-circle hoping and praying to pray two rak’ahs over the maqam of Sayyidina Isma’il (as). For what? Tabarak.
So, wasilah (a means) is our entire life. Tabarak is the people whom continuously seeking out blessings. They kiss the black stone because they feel it’s a reality from paradise. They see it’s a rock from paradise, but in reality, it’s an angel from paradise that witnesses all those who come to be present, all those who come to make tawaf.
Every Act We Perform During Hajj is a Wasilah
It’s a wasilah (a means). It’s not something you worship, but seek a means towards Allah (AJ) to receive tabarak. Our life, like a video game, continuously seeking a means because this is the way of humility. I seek a means unto my Lord.
That my Lord, I’m a weak servant. I’m far from all of these realities. I seek a means towards You in life. So, you see how 99.9% of the nation dying to go for hajj, all accept all these rituals and the hypocrisy that shaitan puts them in that they deny the tariqahs.
Those Who Perform Hajj and Deny Wasilah Don’t Know Heavenly Haqaiqs
So, which one is right? Are you a hypocrite that you went for hajj (pilgrimage) and you did every type of wasilah (a means) and thought you go tabarak and you come back and say that the tariqahs are not on truth? You see now then the hypocrisy of the nation. They do something. Then they deny everyone else in doing that in everyday life.
They go for zamzam to take water. Why don’t they just buy the water from Costco or from the Kentucky Fried Chicken across the street from the Ka’bah? They brought all of these fast-food chains in that area. Why they don’t drink the Pepsi and say that this a blessing too? But they seek a means towards the realities of paradise. That the holy zamzam, it must be flowing from the realities of paradise because they don’t know the haqqaiqs and they never accompany an awliya. But in their heart and soul, Allah (AJ) put within them, ‘Seek a means towards Me’ and they are absorbing the zamzam. They take gallons of it home, drinking it all day while they’re on the hajj. Why? It’s a wasilah. It’s a means in which to draw near to Allah’s (AJ) Divinely paradises and fountains of realities. As a result, it’s an immense tabarak and blessings.
Our Qurban is a Seeking a Means Out of Our Difficulties
Everything, everything of the hajj, everything of Safa and Marwah, everything that they’re doing, even they’re going Jabal ar Rahmah (Mountain of Mercy), all the way up to Jabal ar Rahmah and then making their qurban (sacrifice). We described all the realities of the qurban as a wasilah, a means to Allah (AJ). Ya Rabbi, I’m reenacting all these rituals that Sayyidina Ibrahim (as) gave to us which are the examples of faith. These are the wasilahs and the example of seeking a means towards Allah (AJ), reenacting that in our daily life. Our daily life is to struggle. Our daily life is a nation of sacrifice. In the end, we reach to Jabal ar Rahmah and say, ‘Ya Rabbi, maybe my sacrifices were not correct. Maybe my character, I didn’t do all that You asked of me to do.’ Then Allah (AJ) grant from infinite rahmah and mercy. ‘I give to you a tremendous ransom’.
37:107 – “Wa fadainaahu bizibhin ‘azeem” (Surat As-Saffat)
“And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice” (Those Who Set the Ranks, 37:107)
Ransom means something that you would have been held accountable for. Allah (AJ) granting us a ransom as a relief. That, ‘I would have held you in difficulty for what you have done and you’re ransoming yourself out of that difficulty’. What Allah (AJ) uses for these words is immense, is that, ‘I would have held you accountable for coming to this Earth, wasting time, wasting ni’mat, wasting blessings, and I would have grabbed you and placed you where, most likely, we would have deserved to be’. But we have ransom. We paid and got our way out. By how? By qurban (sacrifice), even if it’s a chicken or an egg that you have, it’s a means in which Allah (AJ) is saying: seek a means even out of your difficulty.
Our Most Dangerous Enemy is the Shaitan Within Ourselves
When you know that you’re going to be held in a dungeon to be asked, ‘What have you done wrong on this Earth?’ Allah (AJ) gives us even at that time a wasilah, ‘Seek a means out of your difficulty.’ They give from what they earned and they ransom themselves out of difficulty for themselves, their families, and their loved ones. This becomes immense tabarak because they don’t know what Allah (AJ) was counting, what He was judging, what He was counting against our accounts. Immediately by that reality, Allah (AJ) is wiping these accounts to be clean because Prophet ﷺ says what happens when we come down from ‘Arafah, then the qurbans begin to be sacrificed. “Fasali li rabbika wanhar. ” What Allah (AJ), “Shani-aka huwal abtar.”
108:1-3 – “Inna ‘atayna kal kawthar. (1) Fasali li rabbika wanhar. (2) Inna shani-aka huwal abtar. (3)” (Surat Al-Kawthar)
“To thee (O Muhammad) we have granted the Fount (of Abundance). (1) So pray to your Lord and Sacrifice. (2) Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off. (3)” (The Abundance, 108:1-3)
That, ‘We have cut off all your enemies.’ You come off of hajj whether you spiritually performed your hajj with intention or you physically went for hajj, we come down on Eid, pure and purified; enemies cut from the believer. The enemy that most dangerous, the shaitan within the servant. That’s why that shaitan, ‘Don’t do these things. Don’t fast that day. Don’t give your qurban (sacrifice). Don’t, don’t do all these things. So, we see that the life of the hujjaj (pilgrims) and the people whom maybe once in a lifetime, they’re going to make hajj. Once in a lifetime, they’re going to try to make a hajj. This is, again, 99.99% of the nation.
Everyday is Hajj for Those Who Follow Tariqahs
What about those whom Allah (AJ) guides to tariqahs? Every day is a hajj for them. Every single day is a hajj (pilgrimage) for them because the guidance they receive, the practices that they’re encouraged to do, every day is a hajj. Every day, they’re praying with a consciousness. Every day, they’re sacrificing, being told through the teachings, ‘Look and make a hisaab. Make an account of yourself and sacrifice. Find these bad characteristics, stop them. Stop drinking, stop smoking, stop yelling, stop fighting.’ This is a hajj. Your life is being taught: be humble and seek a wasilah, seek a means.
So, say, ‘Why you have a shaykh?’ Is a wasilah more powerful than the footprints, more powerful than the rocks. Why? Because Allah (AJ) built him and men built that house. The house that they pay $20,000 ticket to go to see, men built the house. That’s not from paradise. That house from paradise was lifted. Many times, that house fell down and the men built that house back. But what Allah (AJ) built? The hearts of men. Men build structures and Allah (AJ) builds men. And, ‘I blew onto him of my spirit.’
15:29 – “Fa idha sawwaytuhu wa nafakhtu feehi min Rohee faqa’o lahu sajideen.” (Surat Al-Hijr)
“So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul/spirit, then fall down to him in prostration.” (The Rocky Tract, 15:29)
Awliya are Our Kab’ahs, Qiblas and Experts for Our Most Important Eternal Journey
That’s why we call the awliya (saints). They are Ka’bahs. They are qiblas because we just explained you don’t worship the house. You don’t worship the footprints. You don’t worship the zamzam. You don’t worship the rocks. So, that which Allah (AJ) built, they’re wasilah. What describe for those who have to follow a shaykh? “Ittaqollah” – have a consciousness and seek a wasilah.
(Surat Al-Mayidah)
“O you who believe! Have consciousness and seek the means of approach unto Him, and strive in his cause: that you may prosper/succeed.” (The Table Spread, 5:35)
If you need an attorney in this dunya (material world), or you need an accountant in this dunya, or you need a doctor in this dunya, then Allah (AJ) said, ‘What, then you don’t need a shaykh for your most difficult journey, your most important journey, and the most eternal journey?’ Well, your legal issues die when you die. They go to your children, have problems, but it’s dead for you. There’s no more. But the wasilah of a shaykh is for your entire eternity in which Allah (AJ) describe: seek a means. As a result of accompanying them, following their teachings, it becomes a wasilah for you. Everything you recite becomes a means in which you to receive. Every knowledge you’re achieving is a means in which you to achieve your paradise realities. Being in their presence is a tabarak and blessings.
Awliya Have Divinely Senses That are More Powerful Than the Hajar al-Aswad
Just like the tawaf of the Ka’bah; as soon as you come into their presence, their soul and their reality witness the servant more powerful than the Hajar al-Aswad (The Black Stone) because Hajar al-Aswad looks at the servant. But have you ever heard of Hajar al-Aswad talking to the servant? No. That’s a read-only file. Hajar al-Aswad only is the read-only file. It’s just looking because the angel is not intervening. But what Hadith al-Qudsi (Holy Hadith) describes, ‘I become the eyes in which he sees, the ears in which he hears, the tongue in which he speaks.’
‘An Abi Hurairah (ra) qala, Qala Rasulullahi ﷺ : InnAllaha ta’ala qala: “ …, wa la yazaalu ‘Abdi yataqarrabu ilayya bin nawafile hatta ahebahu, fa idha ahbabtuhu kunta Sam’ahul ladhi yasma’u behi, wa Basarahul ladhi yubsiru behi, wa Yadahul lati yabTeshu beha, wa Rejlahul lati yamshi beha, wa la in sa alani la a’Teyannahu, …” [Hadith Qudsi, Sahih al Bukhari, Raqam: 6502)
Narrated by Abu Hurairah (ra) that: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that: Allah the Almighty said: “…My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary acts of worship so that I shall love him. When I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him…” [Holy Hadith, Authentic by al-Bukhari, # 6502]
This is a talking Ka’bah. It’s not read-only. It’s read, write, and talk file that through their ears, they hear. They hear the request of the servants. Neither space nor time means anything to them because it’s Allah’s (AJ) hearing, Prophet’s ﷺ hearing, and the hearing of the Holy Companion, Ahlul Bayt (Holy Family of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) and awliyaullah (saints) fis samayi wa fil ard (in the heavens and on earth). As soon as you come into their presence, it’s like a tawaf (circumambulation).
Like Holy Kab’ah, Awliyaullah are Haramain – No Haram
Why you make your seven tawafs? You get our book, you understand. Why? Because you have seven names and seven paradises. So, what happens when you accompany your life with the life with the shaykh? Your life is like a tawaf. You’re always around them, listening to them, interacting, and emailing. You’re like making tawaf. Why? So, that you’ll learn your seven names. Their eyes witness you, their ears hear you, and if you’re fortunate enough, their tongue will speak to you. They are haramain. Don’t do haram (forbidden). Don’t do things that would come against that reality with them.
As a result, it will be multiplied a million times. You’ve been to Ka’bah. They try to pickpocket you. Absolutely no mind person. You think, you think why don’t you do this at like the airport? Why would you do that in here when Allah (AJ) going to punish you a million times more? That’s why it’s called haramain – no haram. What about the walking Ka’bah, the speaking Ka’bah, in which Allah (AJ) describes, ‘His heart I built with My own hands, and I blew into him of My spirit.’
Awliya are the Fountains of Kawthar Flowing Upon This Earth
Don’t they understand wasilah and tabarak? From their tongues are zamzami. So, many times awliya, they will call them zamzami, zamzami because every time they talk, they’re the fountains of Kawthar flowing upon this Earth from paradise realities. They say one kalaam, one word, one written understanding, you will take to all your paradises with that reality. So, imagine drinking from the Kawthar (The Fountain of Abundance) on this Earth. What would it do to your reality, to your soul, to your tongue, to your heart, to your lungs, to your stomach? What type of illumination would that fountain from paradise do to your physicality and to your ruhani and your spirit and your soul for all of eternity?
It means these are then the immense blessings that the tariqah, every day is a hajj. They listen every day. They take the notes every day. They come against their character every day. As soon as they say Allahu Akbar (Allah (AJ) is The Greatest), they’re present at the holy Ka’bah. If they learned how to love Prophet ﷺ more than they love themselves, what happens? Their soul is not theirs anymore. They carry the light of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. In that reality, as soon as they say Allahu Akbar, they’re in a Muhammadan dress, praying at the holy Ka’bah and even further into its reality of what the Ka’bah symbolizes.
Our Heart Doesn’t Open, Nothing Changes in Our Character When We Heedlessly Perform Hajj
The tariqah is the walking and living reality of hajj. That’s why all the kalaam (words) of awliya and even the poetries of awliya asking people that, ‘Where are you going that you’re excited to go for hajj, but monkey in monkey out?’ That by merely going for Ka’bah, going for hajj, but not having an understanding, not opening of the heart, the same person goes, the same person comes back. Those whom Allah (AJ) guides, why? So, that every day for them is a cleansing, cleaning, is a tafakkur and contemplation. They learn their life is a wasilah. What the shaykh is teaching is a means for my soul to draw near.
Look, one word from their teachings of haqqaiqs, your soul is eternally dressed now in that reality. Then another night, he talk and then your soul is going deeper in another reality. I think your soul is in so many different oceans at the same time, going into too many different realities because it’s a fountain that’s overflowing and it’s not stopping. Then we understand the extent of this reality that Allah (AJ) is giving to the nation, that the tariqahs uphold and should be upholding the reality. Their students are the hujjaj. Their students are the real pilgrims of reality. Their students are the ones drinking truly from the Kawthar. They’ve unlocked the realities of the zamzam. They’re drinking directly from the Kawthar. They understood the reality of tawaf and their soul is around the reality of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. This becomes the immensity of the dress, the blessings of these dressings, and the whole realities of tariqah.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa ﷺ wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
