From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi.
A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the rejected one
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashraful Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ.
Your Nearness to Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ Gains Nearness to Allah (AJ)
Give me an ability to look at Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, ‘Ya Sayyidi Ya Rasulul Kareeem (The Most Generous Messenger), unzur halana wa ishfa’lana (gaze upon my condition and intercede for me).’ That, ‘Let me to sit at your table, that to eat with your Companions and with your Ahlul Bayt (Holy Family of Prophet ﷺ).’ And then by that nearness to Prophet ﷺ we gained a nearness to Allah (AJ).
If You’re Looking for Allah’s (AJ) Love, Follow Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
They came later in our life and began to teach us the realities of Holy Qur’an, say “A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem. Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allaha fattabi’uni.” We said and we hear, and we may hear hundreds of time, Holy Qur’an is not a book in which we have to recite too many layers too fast. If you can take one ayah (verse) of Holy Qur’an and make it your life, make it your life; ‘Ya Rabbi, until I understood the depth of this ayah, is no need for me to go further.’ Allah’s (AJ) reminding us, “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allaha fattabi’uni,” ‘If you’re looking for My love, follow Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.’
3:31 – “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allaha fattabi’uni, yuhbibkumullahu wa yaghfir lakum dhunobakum wallahu Ghaforur Raheem.” (Surat Ali-Imran)
“Say, [O Muhammad], “If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.” (Family of Imran, 3:31)
Awliyaullah (Saints) Come into Our Lives to Remind Us “Fattabi’uni”
It means we’re all here looking for the love of Allah (AJ). Who comes out in the snow except the lovers of Allah (AJ)? We’re looking everywhere for that love and we have so many difficulties – so many mushkilats, so many burdens, so many debts, so many things that don’t go away and so many people crying at night, ‘Ya Rabbi, I love You, Ya Rabbi, I love You,’ but they’re not hearing anything back. Awliyaullah come into our life and remind us, “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allah.“ That Allah (AJ) is telling us, ‘Tell them, tell My people, My creation, if they want My love, fattabi’uni – follow Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, yuhbibkumullahu Allah (AJ).’ Allah (AJ), if you follow the way of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, Allah (AJ) will begin to dress you from His Divinely Love.
Faith is to Love Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ More Than You Love Yourself
So we are all now in the ocean, “fattabi’uni.” Everything is in the way of making Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, to be a love with Prophet ﷺ, because it’s Maqamul Iman (Station of Faith), ‘You have to love me more than you love yourself’ [said Prophet ﷺ].
‘An Anas ibn Malik (ra) qala, qala Rasulullahi ﷺ “La yuminu ahadukum hatta akona ahabba ilayhi min walidihi wa waladihi wan nasi ajma’yeen.” [Sahih Muslim, Hadith 44, wa Al Bukhari, Kitabul Iman, Hadith 15]
Narrated by Anas son of Malik (ra) that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children, and all mankind.” [Authentic by Muslim, Hadith 44 & by Al Bukhari, Book of Faith, Hadith 15]
We all love ourselves, we take care of ourselves, we buy everything for ourselves, and Maqamul Iman is not something easy. The love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is not something part-time, ‘Oh, I mention Sayyidina Muhammad’s ﷺ name in the azaan (call to prayer), that’s it.’
By Celebrating Mawlid un Nabi ﷺ We Gain the Attention of Allah (AJ)
It’s an immense love affair; it’s the greatest love story ever told. That, when you love Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, you have mehfil (gathering) and zikr (Divine remembrance) and Milad un Nabi ﷺ (celebration of the birthday of Prophet ﷺ). It’s all to get Allah’s (AJ) attention because Allah (AJ) want to open every rahmah and every mercy. Some people think that when they mention, ‘Allah, Allah, Allah,’ that they’re so close to Allah (AJ). And Allah’s (AJ) saying, ‘No, no, you’re not close to Me! Only time you’re close to me is when you love what I love; you dislike what I dislike.’ But here in this association, where Allah (AJ) is reminding us, ‘You have to love what I love and My love is on Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.’
Zikr of Heavens is Durood Sharif (Praising on Prophet Muhammad ﷺ)
Anything you do in the way of the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, you’re gaining the love and the nearness to Allah (AJ). It’s immense, it’s not something small! They make fun and they say, ‘Oh, it’s like a party, it’s like a celebration.’ No, you’re all wrong! This is an immense love for Allah (AJ) and Allah (AJ) wants to give us from what He loves, “InnAllaha wa malayikatahu yusalluna ‘alan Nabiyi ﷺ,” no need for the rest.
33:56 – “InnAllaha wa malayikatahu yusalluna ‘alan Nabiyi yaa ayyuhal ladhina aamanu sallu ‘alayhi wa sallimu taslima.” (Surat Al-Ahzab)
“Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet [Muhammad ﷺ]: O you that believe! Send your blessings upon him, and salute him with all respect.” (The Combined Forces, 33:56)
This love Allah’s (AJ) saying, ‘My angels and Myself, We’re lost in that praising.’ The whole story of creation is the unfolding of that reality because verily Allah’s (AJ) zikr and the zikr of malaika (angels) is what? Salawat un Nabi ﷺ (praises upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) “Yusalluna ‘alan Nabiyi ﷺ.” So it means if Allah (AJ) is praising upon Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and malaika are praising upon Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, the zikr of the heavens is durood sharif and salawat on Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
The Presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is the Celebration of Holy Qur’an
This is a celebration of Islam; this is the celebration of Holy Qur’an. Without the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ you have no Holy Qur’an, you have no Islam. The soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ coming into the physical body, coming into this dunya (material world) is a celebration for all of us – Allah (AJ) gave us Islam. Allah (AJ) gave us the Manzil ul Qur’an (where the Holy Qur’an emanates). The house of Holy Qur’an is the heart and the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
What’s the Difference Between Holy Qur’an and Furqan?
Without the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ you have no Qur’an, you have only furqan (book of right or wrong) – a kitab (book).
2:185 – “Shahru Ramadaanal laze, unzila feehil Qur’anu hudal linnasi wa baiyinaatim minal hudaa wal furqaan…” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed/descended the holy Qur’an, as a guide to mankind and clear signs/proofs for guidance and criterion/judgement (between right and wrong)…” (The Cow, 2:185)
The power of Holy Qur’an is in the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ! It means the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is Qur’an, is the lights and blessings, it’s the house in which Allah (AJ) revealing through the soul and through the heart of Prophet ﷺ.
5:15 – “Ya ahlal kitabi qad jaa akum Rasoluna yubayyinu lakum katheeran mimma kuntum tukhfona minal kitabi wa ya’fo’an katheerin, qad jaa akum mina Allahi Noorun wa Kitabun Mubeen.” (Surat Al-Ma’idah)
“O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger [Muhammad (pbuh)], making clear to you much of what you used to conceal in the Scripture/book and overlooking much. There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book.” (The Table Spread, 5:15)
Without that love what you have? You have a book of right and wrong, furqan. There’s three – there’s furqan, it’s kitab of right and wrong, right and wrong, right and wrong.
Nothing Except the Heart & Soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ Can Hold Holy Qur’an
Qur’an has to have Nurul Muhammadi ﷺ (Light of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) in it. If no Nurul Muhammad ﷺ, no, no, you have furqan. Because Allah (AJ) describe, ‘Qur’an, if I send it onto a mountain – jabal, it will be khashiya (dust).’
59:21 – “Law anzalna hadha alQurana ‘ala jabalin laraaytahu, khashi’an mutasaddi’an min khashyatillahi, wa tilkal amthalu nadribuha linnasi la’allahum yatafakkaroon.” (Surat Al-Hashr)
“Had We sent down this Qur’an on a mountain, verily, you would have seen it obliterated to dust (from its power) And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will Contemplate…” (The Exile, 59:21)
So you think you’re holding furqan, and that you’re stronger than the mountain? Allah (AJ) says, ‘No, this Qur’an only comes to the heart and to the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.’
Salawat is The Key to Divinely Knowledges
So with ishq (love) of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, you make one durood sharif, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ comes to make 10 salawats upon you.
Qala Rasulullah (saws): “Man Salla `alaiya Salatan wahidatan, Sallallahu `alayhi `ashra Salawatin, wa Huttat `anhu `ashru khaTeatin, wa ruf`at lahu `ashru darajatin.”
Prophet Muhammad (saws) said: “Whoever sends blessings [Praises] upon me, God will shower His blessings upon him ten times, and will erase ten of his sins, and elevate [raise] his [spiritual] station ten times.” [Hadith recorded by Nasa’i]
What’s the secret of that salawat? “Allimukumul kitaba walhikma!” Allah (AJ) describe Prophet ﷺ, “allimukumul kitabi walhikma – he’s going to teach you the kitab.’
(Surat Al-Baqarah)
“Just as We have sent among (within) you a messenger of your own, reciting to you Our Signs, and purifying you, and teaching you the Book/Scripture (Quran) and Wisdom, and teaching you New Knowledge, that which you did not know.” (The Cow, 2:151)
Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is the Walking Qur’an
Who’s the kitab of Allah (AJ)? Kitabullah is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. There was no kitab in the time of Prophet ﷺ. Anybody go back and study your history. There was no kitab in the time of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. There was no adab (manners), no permission to compile a book in the presence of the walking Qur’an. He’s walking Qur’an; throughout Holy Qur’an when Allah (AJ) says, ‘I sent you kitab,’ there was no kitab. What is Allah (AJ) talking about? He’s talking about Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
36:69 – “Wa ma’allamnahush shi’ra wa ma yambaghee lahu, in huwa illa dhikrun wa Quranun Mubeen.” (Surat YaSeen)
“We have not taught him (Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)) poetry, nor it is befitting for him. He (Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)) is not but Zikr (Remembrance/Praise) and the Qur’an making things clear.” (YaSeen, 36:69)
Soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is Allah’s (AJ) First & Most Powerful Creation
Now you understood kitab. Doesn’t this give you information, and light, and all sorts of realities [Shaykh refers to cell phone]? While Allah (AJ) describe the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, more powerful than your phone. The soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, “‘Allamal Qur’an. Khalaqal Insaan,” [is] second – “‘Allamal Qur’an” before He… “Insaan.”
55:1-3 – “Ar Rahmaan (1). ‘Allamal Qur’an (2). Khalaqal Insaan (3).” (Surat Ar-Rahman)
“The Most Merciful. (1) It is He Who has taught the Qur’an. (2) He has created Mankind. (3)” (The Beneficent, 55:1-3)
Hadith al Jabir, Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ ‘ana awala khalqillah.‘ ‘I am the first of Allah’s (AJ) creation.’
Qala Rasulullah ﷺ:“Awwalu ma khalaqAllahu nuri Nabyika, Ya Jabir.”
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “The first thing that Allah created was your prophet’s light (referring to himself (pbuh)) O Jabir.”
That Nurul Muhammad ﷺ – before there was Baitul Mamur, before there was ‘Arsh ar Rahman (Throne of the Most Compassionate), before there were malaika, Allah (AJ) created the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It means we don’t know who Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is; we claim to love Kitabullah, but we don’t stand for his honor. We don’t honor Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ the way Allah (AJ) wants it to be honored.
Thank Allah (AJ) for the Mercy of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
That these jashn (celebrations) and these mehfils is the honor of Islam, that, ‘Ya Rabbi shukr (gratitude).’ Surat Ar-Rahman, Allah (AJ) saying, ‘Thank Me for the pomegranate, thank Me for the date, thank Me for grass.’
55:68-69 – Feehimaa faakihatunw wa nakhlunw wa rummaan (68) Fabi ayyi aalaaa’i Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan. (69)” (Surat Ar-Rahman)
“In both of them are fruit and date-palm trees and pomegranates. (68) So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? (69)” (The Beneficient, 55:68-69)
You don’t think Allah (AJ) is asking us, ‘Thank Me for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ?’ “Wa maa arsalnaka illa Rahmatal lil’alameen – I would not have sent that reality but it’s a rahmah for all creation.” Why? Because he’s walking Qur’an, “‘allimukumul kitaba walhikma” (Holy Qur’an, 2:151).
21:107 – “Wa maa arsalnaka illa Rahmatal lil’alameen.” (Surat Al-Anbiya)
“And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad (pbuh)], except as a mercy to the worlds/creation.” (The Prophets, 21:107)
Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is the Imamin Mubeen
Later they’ll teach you “In huwa illa dhikrun wa Quranun Mubeen.” Surat YaSeen, “Innahu…imamin mubeen.” Who is “Imamin mubeen?” Who is “Imamin Mubeen”?
36:12 – “Inna nahnu nuhyil mawta wa naktubu ma qaddamo wa atharahum, wa kulla shayin ahsaynahu fee imamin mubeen.” (Surat YaSeen)
“Indeed it is We who shall give life to the dead, and We record all their footprint of the past and every step they take in the future, and of all things We have taken account in a Perfected Clear Imam (leader/Prophet (pbuh)).” (YaSeen, 36:12)
That somebody came and translated “Imamin Mubeen” is a ‘Clear book.’ It clearly says “Imamin Mubeen” – Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is the “Imam“ and he, alayhis salatu wasalaam, is “Mubeen.” It means everywhere we look is going to be the signs of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Why? Because this is the ishq of Allah (AJ).
Allah’s (AJ) Love for You Brings You Into His Love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
Outside people, they don’t see it, like they didn’t see the cave! They didn’t see the cave, when Prophet ﷺ hiding with Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as); they’re looking and they can’t see the cave, they can’t see this reality. ‘Ashiqeen (lovers), their love is for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, and when Allah (AJ) loves them, He brings them to the ishq of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. This is the love of Allah (AJ), Allah’s (AJ) love is for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That when He loves you, He brings you into that love and you’ll be lost in the love and the ishq of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and how much Allah (AJ) is praising upon Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
Mawlid un Nabi ﷺ Celebrates the Light of Our Existence
So tonight this is not a small occasion, this is a celebration of Islam, this is a celebration of Qur’an, this is a celebration of our existence. If not the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ me and you are not here. We pray that Allah (AJ) bless us, dress us, with the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, and that Allah’s (AJ) rida and satisfaction to take away difficulties from us.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
