Zikrullah and Good Deeds Bring Immense Rewards

I seek refuge in Allah (AJ) from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ.
Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Remembering the Passings and Births of Holy Souls in Safar to Gain Their Nazar (Gaze)
Alhamdulillah that Allah (AJ) loaded the holy month of Safar with immense souls. Like a video game that every level, every day we go into Allah (AJ) rewarding with immense new barakahs and blessings. That to have such holy souls in this holy month. To celebrate their life and their passing, their existence and their struggle grants us their nazar to be upon us. Their dress and their lights to be upon us, our families and communities. What could be a better life when Allah (AJ) is describing to Prophet ﷺ what we described last night in ayatul kareem (the generous verse of Holy Qur’an) verse 28th of Surat Al-Kahf, Allah (AJ) is: ‘Let not thy eyes and thy soul pass the people of remembrance. Whom day and night they’re making their zikr (Divine remembrance) and for the sake of the people of pomp and glitter.’
18:28 – “Wasbir nafsaka ma’al ladheena yad’ona Rabbahum bilghadati wal’ashiyi yureedona Wajhahu, wa la ta’du ‘aynaka ‘anhum tureedu zeenatal hayatid dunya, wa laa tuti’ man aghfalnaa qalbahoo ‘an zikrinaa wattaba’a hawaahu wa kaana amruhoo furutaa.” (Surat Al-Kahf)
“And keep yourself patient [by being] with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking His Holy Face;. And let not your eyes pass beyond them, desiring adornments/glitter of the worldly life and do not obey one whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance and who follows his desire and whose affair is ever [in] neglect. (The Cave, 18:28)
The Nazar of Prophet ﷺ Dresses the Believer With Divine Light
It means that the nazar of Prophet ﷺ that Allah (AJ) is giving us an insight into the immense guidance. That Allah (AJ), because Allah (AJ) is the command of Prophet’s ﷺ eyes. So Allah (AJ) gives us an insight into how this is created. That, ‘I created this Muhammadan eyes and nazar and soul’ because when the soul gazes upon the servant, is dressing them and blessing them. It is not an empty vision but Allah (AJ), ‘Be wary, be cautious of the believer for he looks to people with the faiz (dowpouring emanation) of Allah (AJ).’
‘An Abi Sa’yidel Khudriyi (ra) qala, qala Rasulullahi ﷺ:“Ittaqoo Firasatal Mu’min, Fa Innahu yanzoro Bi Nurillah…” [At Tirmidhi, Kitab 47, Hadith 3419]
Narrated by Sa’yidel Khudri (ra) that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “Beware/be conscious of the spiritual vision of the true believer, for indeed he sees with Allah’s divinely Light.” [At Tirmidhi, Book 47, Hadith #3419]
He looks with the lights and the emanations from Allah (AJ). What more powerful believer than the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ? So unzur halana wa ishfa’ana (gaze upon my condition and intercede for me) is that Allah (AJ) is giving us the insight in that holy ayatul kareem. That his reality is to look to those whom make zikrullah (remembrance of Allah (AJ)) and not to pass them and to be patient with them.
Zikrullah is a Divine Permission and Gift from Allah (AJ)
So alhamdulillah Allah (AJ) even gives to us an immense reality that to be patient with them. So means that they’re not always going to be great, they’re not always going to be perfected but they’re the people of the zikrullah. That Allah (AJ) put into their heart and gave a permission ‘To remember Me.’ Remembrance of Allah (AJ) is not on our own fruition, it is not our own cleverness. Surat Al-Nur Allah (AJ) describes, ‘I give permission for them to mention My name within their homes’.
24:36 – “Fee buyotin adhina Allahu an turfa’a wa yudhkara feeha ismuhu yusabbihu lahu feeha bilghuduwwi wal asal.” (Surat An-Nur)
“(Lit is such a Light) in houses, which Allah has permitted to be raised to honour; and that His name be mentioned therein: In them He is glorified in the mornings and in the evenings, (again and again).” (The Light, 24:36)
Their home, the ultimate home for the believer is his heart. So, the mere fact that somebody can say ‘Allah (AJ), Allahu Akbar (Allah (AJ)) is The Greatest)’ is Allah’s (AJ) gift. It is not a cleverness, it is not somebody say, ‘I don’t, I don’t want to say that.’ Say, ‘No. You can’t say it.’ So, don’t think you’re clever. If Allah (AJ) doesn’t give you permission, it will never come off onto your tongue to say. So means whom Allah (AJ) grants that blessing and that ni’mat, immense gift and grace.
What is Zikrullah – Zikr of Allah (AJ)?
Then Allah (AJ) is then describing then, ‘Be patient with them.’ In that ayatul kareem Allah (AJ) is using the word ‘sabr’ (patience). That, ‘Have sabr and patience with them these ones whom they busy themself with zikrullah.’ Then the immensity of that because we’ve gone into it that what is the zikr of Allah (AJ)? Salawat sharif (praises upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ). Because the zikr for you is to say ‘Allah (AJ)’ but the zikr of Allah (AJ) is “InnAllaha wa malayikatahu yusalluna ‘Alan Nabi.”
33:56 – “InnAllaha wa malayikatahu yusalluna ‘alan Nabiyi yaa ayyuhal ladhina aamanu sallu ‘alayhi wa sallimu taslima.” (Surat Al-Ahzab)
“Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet [Muhammad ﷺ]: O you that believe! Send your blessings upon him, and salute him with all respect.” (The Combined Forces, 33:56)
The rest is optional for you – “Yaa ayyuhal ladhina aamanu sallu ‘alayhi wa sallimu taslima ﷺ.” This is optional. But Allah’s (AJ) zikr is “InnAllaha wa malayikatahu yusalluna ‘alan Nabi ﷺ”. So then Allah (AJ) is giving the depth of that reality that, ‘I created the soul of Prophet ﷺ to gaze upon those whom making Durood Sharif (praising on Prophet Muhammad ﷺ).
Zikrullah and the Secret of the Prophetic Nazar
Because the other clever hizbul shaitan (party of satan) come and say, ‘Zikrullah is salah (daily prayer), when we pray.’ Say, ‘No, salah is salah.’ Zikrullah is a praising upon Allah (AJ) and then real zikrullah is what is the zikr of Allah (AJ). When Allah (AJ) gives to us what is Allah’s (AJ) type of praise? It is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, it is salawat, Durood Sharif upon Prophet ﷺ. So they can’t say this is prayers, they can’t say this is reading Qur’an. They can’t say that, ‘Oh this is this and this is that.’ No, Allah (AJ) give to the heart of Prophet ﷺ and heart of awliyaullah (saints) that – no, the zikrullah is Durood Sharif.
Allah (AJ) put into the code of Prophet ﷺ that, ‘Look for these people whom making salawat upon you ﷺ’. So the laser because Prophet ﷺ has no will of his own, the perfect in servanthood. So, Allah (AJ) is giving us the clue and the key if you want this nazar like a guaranteed laser to come to you, it is already been programmed. That the nazar and the gaze of Prophet ﷺ seeks out those whom make zikrullah. The real zikr of Allah (AJ) is the salawat upon Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It seeks out that light and dresses them and overlooks anything of pomp and glory.
True Knowledge Uplifts, It Does Not Cut People Down
Because people say, ‘Oh but look at those they have like stadiums when they talk, they’re like this.’ These wahabi people, they have crowds and masses of people because shaitan (satan) sends all his people to them. So that they can go on to the earth and be aggressive and destroy the haqqaiqs (realities) of Islam. Because of their aggressive nature, bad character, bad manners. Anytime you see somebody with bad manners, they do a detriment to Islam, they have a destruction of Islam. I’ve seen somebody who calls himself a big scholar in the UK and sits and uses his knowledge to insult somebody. He has on the other table look like the person is going to be a Mufti or a shaykh or somebody, he is wearing a turban. He [UK scholar] wants to immediately come out like these fights with animals and begin to attack somebody and humiliate the opponent and degrade the opponent.
Ask from Prophet ﷺ, was knowledge ever supposed to be used as a weapon like that? A weapon that you unsheath your sword against a fellow Muslim? You use knowledge against ignorance even with hikmah (wisdom). Because it never comes out a sword, you don’t use your knowledge to cut people down. But you use your knowledge to prompt people up, to give hope to people. To be humble in your approach so that not to humiliate. Because Allah (AJ) says, ‘Don’t speak harshly least they come back and say something harsh about your Lord.’
6:108 “Wa laa tasubbul lazeena yad’oona min doonil laahi fa yasubbul laaha ‘adwam bighairi ‘ilm..” (Surat Al-An’am)
“And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah, lest they insult Allah in enmity without knowledge…” (The Cattle, 6:108)
Knowledge Without Good Character Harms Islam
So it means these are the finesse of manners. That’s when we talked before that this way of Ashab ul Kahf (Companions of the Cave), the first door is manners. Because from this point on if the servant doesn’t have manners, all the knowledge in the world is of no benefit to him nor anyone whom listens to him. Because it is going to be used to harm people, enter into debates to deface and demean and lower people. For what? Shaitan already does that to people.
![[Sufi Saint writing on his book]](https://nurmuhammad.com/wp-content/uploads/Divine-Wisdom-Sufi-Saint_AI-169x300.jpeg)
What do you want the person take their turban, take and shave their beard and then go to nightclub and you would be happy? Already shaitan is working that direction. So means ‘uloom and knowledge is based on hikmah. That they have a hikmah, they feel shy from what Allah (AJ) has given to them and knows that this is a powerful weapon and medicine. It is only to be used to raise people, to give them hope, to give them the assureties of paradise. The assurity of the love of Allah (AJ) and the love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
The Holy Gaze of Prophet ﷺ is Completely Under Divine Command
So in this ayatul kareem Allah (AJ) is giving us. It is like for us for the tech people who want to understand, if you want this nazar it is like an autopilot. It has been programmed because Prophet ﷺ has no desire from his own. “Uhy al Qur’an” that he represents Allah (AJ). His tongue is in complete submission to Allah (AJ), holy eyes are in complete submission to Allah (AJ).
53:3-5 – “Wa ma yantiqu ‘anil hawa. (3) In huwa illa wahyun yooha. (4) ‘Allamahu shadeedul Quwa. (5)” (Surat An-Najm)
“Nor does he (Prophet Muhammad (s) speak from [his own] desire. (3) He is not but a revelation revealed. (4) He was taught by one Mighty in Power. (5)” (The Star, 53:3-5)
If you want to call that Divinely laser, Allah (AJ) then describing then be the people of tafakkur (contemplation). Be the people of zikrullah in which they sit on the bench. The people of the bench they were sitting and meditating, contemplating making their salawat and Durood Sharif. Allah (AJ) reminded Prophet ﷺ, ‘Don’t pass, your eyes not to pass them for the more popular people.’ (Holy Qur’an, 18:28). That ayah (verse) is inherited for all Muhammadiyoon means Holy Companions and these big huge awliya (saints).
Every Good Deed is Seen and Rewarded by The Divine
So when somebody asks that, ‘Why you have to celebrate the birthday? Why are you going on the street and giving some sandwiches and food and drinks?’ Because ayatul kareem is a description of their reality. That if they become Muhammadiyoon their eyes, their ears, their breath is all programmed by Prophet ﷺ. Not from their own desires. So, then they become representatives of that blessed ayah. In which you do good, you remember them on their birth and on their passing and what happens? Like a laser that nazar comes to you. It has been guaranteed by the people of goodness.
Then what Allah (AJ) describes? In the people of goodness. That these people of goodness, whatever good they do Allah (AJ) rewards them, every action. ‘Call upon their lord in the evening…’ Then ayatul kareem is 30th verse of Surat Al-Kahf. 18th surah (chapter) verse 30 Hajji Shahid. [Shaykh asks audience to recite the verse.] That these good people, these people of zikrullah what Allah (AJ) now grants to them?
Reciter: “A’uzu Billahi Minash shaitanir Rajeem Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem. Innal lazeena aamanoo wa ‘amilus saalihaati innaa laa nudee’u ajra man ahsana ‘amalaa”. SadaqAllahul aliyyul ‘Azim.
18:30 – “Innal lazeena aamanoo wa ‘amilus saalihaati innaa laa nudee’u ajra man ahsana ‘amalaa”. (Surat Al-Kahf)
“Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds – indeed, We will not allow to be lost the reward of any who did well in deeds.” (The Cave, 18:30)
The Holy Gaze That Multiplies Every Good Deed
Wa barakah Rasulul Kareem (The Most Generous Messenger). ‘And to those who believe and they work righteousness,’ means those people of the zikr in which the nazar is supposed to be upon their souls. Holy souls seek out these people of zikrullah. Allah (AJ) is describing, ‘And those who believe and do righteousness, verily We shall not let any of your good deeds to be lost. Not a reward of it will be lost.’ Anything, anything that you do, any single deed that you do in righteousness will be blessed.
So means Allah (AJ) is giving to whatever deed you do, these people of the zikrullah of goodness, Allah (AJ) will grant an immense reward, immense reward. Even they give a cup out of water, even they give a grain of bread. Even if they give a salaams (greetings) and a smile, a good character to people. Allah (AJ) is then giving that, ‘Your reward is set aside, you are granted immense rewards.’ Why? Because these nazars upon you. If the nazar and the gaze and the Divinely gaze of Prophet ﷺ is upon servants and the Muhammadiyoon. It means his Ahlul Bayt (Holy Family of Prophet ﷺ) Holy Companions and awliyaullah fis samayi wa fil ard (in the heavens and on earth) they’re all in that same ayah.
No Act of Generosity is Small
That every time their eyes and their soul are looking for these people of zikrullah in which they only want the Holy Face of Allah (AJ). They want to improve themselves, they want to make their zikr, their salawat, their Durood. Allah (AJ) is granting, ‘All these holy faces will always be looking for you and everything that you do in righteousness will be rewarded.’ So somebody said, ‘Oh it is just a cup of water,’ Allah (AJ) says – in every cup you gave, Allah (AJ) will count every drop that came from that cup. Allah (AJ) wants to multiply the rewards of a servant. He doesn’t give the reward based on the cup you drank. But for every molecule of water that came out from that tap is dress and a blessing upon the servant.
Every bite of food that somebody eats from generosity and from generous servants – these people of zikrullah. When they go out and feed people, when those people go home and they eat, every bite they eat has 300 angels making shifa (healing) and intercession for the people whom are eating. What about then the reward of those angels written upon the servant who gave the food? This is Allah (AJ) giving then now the understanding. That if the one who ate your food has 300 angels blessing him. Those 300 angels praisings are upon that person whom gave the food – the person of the zikrullah, every bite. So if there was a thousand bites in a meal, those angels are all dressing upon the servant who gave that food.
Ajrul ‘Azim – Immense Rewards for the People of Zikrullah
So means the ajrul ‘azim (immense reward) that we can’t understand the immensity of Allah (AJ) wanting to give the benefit to these people of zikrullah. That all these holy souls watching you, all these holy souls praying for you. ‘Don’t think about the people of pomp and all those important looking people. I’ve already programmed the eyes not to look at them.’ They’re looking and seeking out the people of zikr. Then Allah (AJ) says, ‘Everything these people do will have an immense reward and be granted immense gifts.’ (Holy Qur’an, 18:30). Mawlana Shaykh (Q) would describe that imagine every angel, 300 angels the person got in a bite all making shifa and intercession for the one who is eating the food of a generous person. But the one who gave that food, that generous servant is receiving the praisings of those 300 angels per bite that the servant is eating from. Every time they bite, the reward goes to the one who distributed the food. Who gave the food to these people and gave water to people, gave hope to people, gave knowledge to people, gave good character.
So it means it is all encompassing. It is not only the Shaykh. It is all the Shaykh’s students, all the ambassadors of this reality. That, ‘Shaykh, we gave food and we came across people, we were polite. We gave water, we did every type of kind gesture because we are the people of zikrullah. We are the people that want to be under the nazar of Nabiyeen (prophets), Siddiqeen (truthful), Shuhada (witnesses) wa saliheen (righteous).’ Then every good deed we do, Allah (AJ) says, ‘I’m with you.’ Every dress is upon that servant and that soul.
4:69 – “Wa man yuti’ Allaha war Rasola faolayeka ma’al ladheena an’ama Allahu ‘alayhim minan Nabiyeena, was Siddiqeena, wash Shuhadayi, was Saliheena wa hasuna olayeka rafeeqan.” (Surat An-Nisa)
“And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger (pbuh) are in the company of those on whom Allah has bestowed His Favours/Blessings – of the Prophets, the sincere Truthful, the Martyrs/Witnesses to the truth (who testify), and the Righteous, and excellent are those as companions.” (The Women, 4:69)
The Sacred Triangle That Carries the Nation
We pray that Allah (AJ) dress us with the immensities of these lights, the immensities of these holy nights that encourage us on these holy nights. Sayyidina Ahmad Faruqi as-Sirhindi Alf Thani (Q) is of immense pillar. That if the pillar of Islam, the beginning of that pillar the top – Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as). To the right Mawlana Sirhindi (Q) and to the left into the heart – Sayyidina Imam Mahdi (as). They hold this triangle together and they are immense, immense poles of reality.
Give Food and Water for the Sake of the Righteous Souls to Gain Their Nazar
That’s why Allah (AJ) sending in the last days Sayyidina Mahdi (as) so that to carry the nation into its final phase. So it means these are immense souls, immense blessings, immense dressings. To give water for them, to give food for their sake, to do anything to be under their holy nazar. They are fulkil mashhoon – they are loaded ships with immense dresses and immense blessings. Nothing stops that blessing from reaching us other than just good deeds.
36:41 – “Wa ayatul lahum anna hamalna dhurriyyatahum fil fulkil mashhooni.” (Surat YaSeen)
“And a sign for them is that we have carried their atoms/forefathers in the loaded ship.” (YaSeen, 36:41)
So, it is not something that we have to jump through hoops to receive this. They have these blessings filled in their hearts and in their souls. All that Allah (AJ) inspire within us, ‘Go out and do good deeds for that sake.’ Remember them. Even in your majlis (association) when you sit together. Remember like we’re remembering tonight and that should entitle us to their nazar. Their blessings and their dressings upon ourselves, our families that are not present with us or couldn’t make it or not attending and all of our communities.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa ﷺ wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
