أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ ٱلْرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

I seek refuge in Allah (AJ) from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ. Madad ya Sayyidi ya Rasulul Kareem, Ya Habibul ‘Azeem, unzur halana wa ishfa’lana, ‘abidona bi madadikum wa nazarekum.

Atiullah wa atiur Rasul wa Ulil amre minkum. Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.

أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنكُم… ﴿٥٩﴾‏ …

4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)

“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)

Entering Muharram with Repentance and Hope

The one year, and asking that Allah (AJ) forgive us our shortcomings, where we came wrong. Where we didn’t accomplish what Allah (AJ) wanted for us to accomplish, and forgive us. Make an angel for us that completes our ‘ibadah (worship) in perfection. That, that ‘ibadah be something pleasing to Allah’s (AJ) rida and satisfaction, and to dress our souls from its lights and its blessings. That, alhamdulillah the holy month of Muharram inshaAllah opening and we’re asking for no haram (forbidden). That we take a path leaving from badness going to higher levels of goodness. Stepping with our right foot into that reality. Asking that as Allah (AJ) in these ten days – most blessed ten days, every, every blessing inshaAllah to come.

Muharram is Under the Guidance of First Khalifa (Representative) & First Imam (Religious Leader)

The first month is the secret of Surat al-Tawbah. The first month is under the guidance of the first khalifa – Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as) as Siddiq al-Mutlaq (the absolute Truthful). Alhamdulillah that we’re under his holy family by the Naqshbandiya tariqah (spiritual path). The one tariqah that is under that heart and under that Divinely guidance of Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as) – Naqshbandiya tul ‘Aliya (The Most Distinguished Naqshbandi Order). Then Allah (AJ) made the month even more beatific and put it under the first of the twelve Imams of the nation of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Under the nazar (gaze) of Imam Ali (as). So with all of these blessings we understand how much Allah (AJ) sends a blessing upon the nation of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.

Allah’s (AJ) Hidden Treasure Calls Sincere Hearts

At every moment Allah (AJ) is looking to bless the nation for the love that He has. This eternal love that He has for the reality of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. That, that nation to be a most victorious nation. That, Allah’s (AJ) hidden truth and hidden reality within that light. Allah’s (AJ) sign of sincerity for those whom are seeking that, ‘Do you see My light on that path?’ From whatever background you come when you’re sincere and Allah (AJ) put into your heart, ‘Do you hear the recitations of the Qur’an? Do you see the example through the people of Islam? Their fasting, their ‘ibadah – their worshipness, their clothing, their ways of the heavens. Do you see that?’ Allah (AJ) is a hidden treasure and hidden secret wanting to be known.

قَال رَسُولَ اللَّه ﷺ، قَالْ اللَّه عَزَ وَجَلْ: ” كُنْت كَنْزاً مخفيا فَأَحْبَبْت أَنْ أُعْرَفَ؛ فَخَلَقْت خَلْقاً فَعَرَّفْتهمْ بِي فَعَرَفُونِي.” [حَدِيثْ اَلْقُدْسِي – بِحَارْ اَلْأنْوَارْ، اَلْعَلَامَةْ اَلْمَجْلِسِيْ، جُزْء ٨٤، صَفْحَة ١٩٩]

Qala Rasulallahi ﷺ, Qala Allah (AJ): “Kuntu kanzan makhfiyya, fa ahbabtu an a’rafa, fa khalaqtu khalqan, fa ‘arraftahum bi fa ‘arafonee.” [Hadith al Qudsi – Behar al Anwar, Al ‘Alama al Majlisi, Juz’ 84, Safha 199]

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, that Allah (AJ) said: “I was a hidden Treasure then I desired to be known, so I created a creation to which I made Myself known; then they knew Me.” [Holy Hadith – Bihar al Anwar, by Al ‘Alama al Majlisi, Volume 84, Page 199]

When the servant has that love and that sincerity, Allah (AJ) grant them to be ‘Known’ and they come towards Islam. They come towards the calling of Islam, they come towards the calling of the realities of the heaven. Alhamdulillah that the Muharram is the month in which we are moving towards that pilgrimage. We are moving towards that reality, asking to be dressed by it, blessed by it.

‘Ashura: The Day of Salvation and Divine Light

As every nation was saved and granted their ‘Ashura, granted the openings of the world of light. That, for every struggle, every nation and every Prophet (as) in every struggle that they had Allah (AJ) opened in the holy month of Muharram. On the holy days of the 10 days. The 10th day being the ‘Ashura, ‘Asha Nura is the immense opening of lights. That the najat and salvation for Sayyidina Adam (as). Because for us the levels of the heart are the houses of the Prophets (as). They are all under the house of Allah (AJ).

‘Ashura and the Repentance of Sayyidina Adam (as)

That, Sayyidina Adam (as) comes to us that this Muharram ask that Allah (AJ) grant you a najat – grant you a salvation. ‘Ya Rabbi that I came unto this earth but I was of a paradise reality.’ Many have lost their way, become distracted from dunya (material world). Sayyidina Adam (as) inspires that, ‘Ask Allah (AJ) for a najat (salvation). Ask Allah (AJ) for a relief through difficulties.’

Seeking Divine Forgiveness with Sacred Du’a (Supplication) of Sayyidina Adam (as)

Then he teaches the secret of his du’a. That, he made many du’as for 40 years until he remembered what Allah (AJ) sent and Sayyidina Jibreel (as). Sent him to go… to visualize what he saw of the paradise realities and he remembered, “Ya Hamidu bi Haqqi Muhammad ﷺ, Ya ‘Aliyu be Haqqi ‘Ali (as), Ya Khaliqu bi Haqqi Fatimatuz Zahra (as), Ya Rahmanu bi Haqqi Hassan (as), Ya Raheemu bi Haqqi Hussain (as).”

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ.

يَا حَمِيدُ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّد ﷺ، يَا عَلِيُّ بِحَقِّ عَلِي (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامْ)، يَا خَالِقُ بِحَقِّ فَاطِمَةُ الزَّهْرَاءِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامْ)، يَا رَحْمَنُ بِحَقِّ حَسَنْ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامْ) ، يَا رَحِيمُ بِحَقِّ حُسَّيْنِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامْ)

”Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

Ya Hamidu bi Haqqi Muhammad ﷺ, Ya ‘Aliyu be Haqqi ‘Ali (as), Ya Khaliqu bi Haqqi Fatimatuz Zahra (as), Ya Rahmanu bi Haqqi Hassan (as), Ya Raheemu bi Haqqi Hussain (as).”

“In the name of Allah, the Most compassionate, the Most Merciful

O’ the Praiseworthy for the sake of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), O’the Most High for the sake of Imam ‘Ali (as), O the Creator for the sake of Fatima Zahra (as), O the Most Compassionate for the sake of Imam Hassan (as), O’ the Most Merciful for the sake of Imam Hussain (as).”

Immediately when he asked in those names Allah (AJ) was so happy by these names that He said that, ‘Had you asked anything by the sanctity of these names I would have granted to you.’ Awliyaullah (saints) come into our life and teach that, that du’a and asking in those names and in these holy names that Allah (AJ) grant us our safety. ‘Ya Rabbi that we came unto this earth and we’re coming short. We came onto this earth and we’ve been distracted by shaitan (satan). Grant us our najat – grant us a salvation, grant us Your forgiveness. So that the stations of raising can begin and raise us back to our heavenly nature, into our spiritual reality.’ That we came from paradise and we came for just a physical experience. To paradise we belong and to paradise inshaAllah we return. That, inshaAllah Allah (AJ) accept these du’as.

On ‘Ashura Sayyidina Nuh’s (as) Ark Reached Dry Land & Granted Safety

Sayyidina Nuh (as) comes into our life and teaches that, ‘I built the ship for 40 years and on ‘Ashura these rains began. Muharram, the rains began and when my ship finally set a sail.’ That how Allah (AJ) granted a najat to the nation of Sayyidina Nuh (as) and Sayyidina Nuh’s (as) nation was saved on ‘Ashura. That, the sailing, the rain began before that. But the ‘Ashura was granted the salvation and the safety of the ship to land on a dry land.

Your Soul is Your Ark of Salvation

We ask that Allah (AJ) grant us from the reality of that ship which is our faith. Our life is a continuous building things that nobody can see. Practicing things that nobody understands. Everybody has a ship and their ship is their soul. Only they know what Allah (AJ) has commanded to them, what Allah (AJ) has inspired to them. Everybody look like ‘ajeeb (strange) to other people that, ‘Why you have to do that? Why you have to do these practices, why you have to mention your Lord like this? Why you have to do all of these things?’ Allah (AJ) granted a najat through the oceans of evilness and tribulations and trials.

Landing Your Soul on the Soil of Paradise

We pray that Allah (AJ) grant our soul to arrive on blessed soil. That leaving the soil of dunya and entering into the soils of paradise and paradise heavens. That, Allah (AJ) grant our soul a salvation through these oceans and tribulations of difficulty. That we be granted a station in which to land, and the lights of our soul and lights of our faith to shine. To come out of its darkness and into the lights of reality. So means for every nation Allah (AJ) granted immense salvation. We pray that in this blessed month of Muharram Allah (AJ) dress us and bless us with its immense reality. It is an immense salvation, immense maghfirah and forgiveness.

Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa ﷺ wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
