The Holy Quran Supports The Kingdom
“And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them,
that Day, eight [of them].” (Surat Al Haqqah (The Reality) 69:17) 8+1 = 9”
Allah (aj) confirms the reality of 12 months in Holy Quran “The number of months in the sight of Allah is twelve (in a year)― so ordained by Him the day He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are sacred; that is the straight usage…” (Surat At Tawba (Repentance) 9:36)

First Door is Bab e Tawbah (Door of Repentance) Number 9
Surat at-Tawba (The Repentance) is the Surat (chapter of Quran) which dresses the month of Muharram (first month of the Islamic lunar calendar). Muharram in the ma’rifat is the month of sacrifice. It’s the month in which Imam Hussein sacrificed himself. Surat at-Tawba is the only surat in holy Quran that does not begin with “Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem”, which means “In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.” The reason for this is that in the first month we are asking to enter through the door of repentance (albab at-tawba) and to sacrifice our bad characters like making a zabiha (sacrifice). When you make zabiha, you can’t say “Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem” and then sacrifice an animal. You have to say, “Bismillah, Allahu Akbar” which means “in the name of Allah, Allah is the Greatest”. You cannot call upon Allah’s mercy (Ar Raheem) and then make zabiha. Therefore, we are spiritually asking to make a zabiha on our bad characters so that we will be halal for the reality of the Divine Presence to enter our hearts.
These are some of the Ayat (verses) of the Surat at Tawbah (Repentance), 9th chapter of Holy Quran related to the Obedience of Allah, the Messenger, and those who are in authority:
‘Atiu Allah (Obey Allah)
- Surat at Tawba has no Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem (In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful). It is the only Surat (chapter) in holy Quran that does Not start with Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem. In the first month we are asking to enter through the door of repentance (bab at-tawba). To sacrifice our bad characters like making a zabiha (sacrifice). When you make zabiha, you can’t say “Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem”, you have to say, “Bismillah, Allahu Akbar”
- (9:19) “Do ye make the giving of drink to pilgrims or the maintenance of the Sacred Mosque, equal to (the pious service of) those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and strive with might and main in the cause of Allah? They are not comparable in the sight of Allah: and Allah guides not those who do wrong.”[Strive with all your might in the way of Allah.]
- (9:40) “If ye help not (your Leader) (it is no matter): for Allah did indeed help him; when the unbelievers drove him out: he had no more than one companion: they two were in the cave, and he said to his companion “Have no Fear, for Allah is with us”: then Allah sent down His peace upon him, and strengthened him with forces which ye saw not, and humbled to the depths the word of the Unbelievers. But the word of Allah is exalted to the heights: for Allah is Exalted in might, Wise.”
[Hijra of Prophet Muhammad (saws) started in Muharram. Allah wants us to leave the oppression (of people and the ego) and take refuge in the Cave. The real cave is is the heart of Prophet Muhammad (saws). To put our trust in Allah and His prophet (saws) and not be afraid as Allah is with us!]
- (9:51) Say: “Nothing will happen to us except what Allah has decreed for us: He is our protector” and on Allah let the Believers put their trust.”
[Nothing will befall but What Allah Decreed. Protection in Time of Imam Mahdi Now]
- (9:103) “Take, (O, Muhammad), from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them increase, and invoke (Allah ‘s blessings) upon them. Indeed, your invocations are reassurance for them. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.” “…Khudh min amwalihim sadaqatan…”
[Allah orders Sayidina Muhammad (s) and the ulil amr that represent Prophet (s), “Take from them!” It means, “don’t ask” because if you ask them they won’t give. People worship their material wealth, rather than Allah. Therefore, Allah gives permission to take from them, and in return pray for them so that they will be purified and difficulties will be lifted from them.]
- (9:104) “Do they not know that it is Allah who accepts repentance from His servants and receives their gifts of charity and that Allah is the Accepting of Repentance, Most Merciful?
[It is Allah who accepts repentance from His servants and receives their gifts of charity.]
- (9:111) “Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed. [It is] a true promise [binding] upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur’an. And who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah ? Then rejoice in your transaction/bargain/bayat which you have contracted. And it is the greatest achievement.”
[Covenant and Bayat is confirmed in this Surat. “Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise.”]
- (9:119) “O ye who believe! Fear Allah and be with those who are true (in word and deed).”
“Ya ayyuhal ladheena amano, ittaqullaha wa kono ma’as sadiqeen.”
[O ye who believe! Fear Allah and be with those who are true (in word and deed). How to become from the Sadiqin (truthful)? It is very difficult. That is why Allah (swt) says to accompany a truthful and trustworthy servant of Allah Almighty. Allah doesn’t say to be a siddiq yourself.]
- (9:120) “Nor should the Believers all go forth together: if a contingent from every expedition remained behind, they could devote themselves to studies in religion and admonish the people when they return to them― that thus they (may learn) to guard themselves (against evil).”
[Allah saying there must be some people who do not work or struggle, but who stay behind and learn the religion so that others can benefit from them.]
- (9:128) “There has certainly come to you a Messenger from amongst/within yourselves; it grieves him that you should perish; [he is] concerned over you, and to the believers he is most kind and merciful.” “Laqad jaa akum rasulilm min anfusikum ‘azizun ‘alayhi.”
[Allah confirms that the Messenger (saws) is amongst/within yourselves. The first thing that Allah (aj) created was the light of prophet Muhammad (saws). From that light, then He created the rest of the creation. Therefore, the light of Muhammad (saws) is within all of us. That is the reason he is called Abu Arwah (the Father of souls).”
- (9:129) “But if they turn away, (O Muhammad), say, “Sufficient for me is Allah; There is not God but He: On Him is my trust – He is the Lord of the Supreme Throne (of Glory)” “Fa in tawallaw faqul hasbiyAllahu la ilaha illa hu, ‘alayhi tawakkaltu wa huwa rabbul ‘arshil ‘azheem.” [Allah is Sufficient for us.]
‘Ati ur Rasul (Obey the Messanger)
- Allah is dressing Sayyidina Muhammad (saws) with the Veil of Power Qudrat Illahia (Divinely Power) in the holy month of Muharram. That is why the awrad of this month is praising Allah by reciting: Subhana Rabbil ’ala (Glory be to my Lord, the Lofty) 12,000 times.
- (9:33) “It is He who hath sent His Messenger with Guidance and Religion of Truth to proclaim it over all religion, even though the pagans may detest (it).
[Prophet (saws) came with a true religion and he was sent as a guide for humanity.]
- (9:40) “If ye help not (your Leader) (it doesn’t matter): for Allah did indeed help him; when the unbelievers drove him out: he had no more than one companion: they two were in the cave, and he said to his companion “Have no Fear, for Allah is with us”: then Allah sent down His peace upon him, and strengthened him with forces which ye saw not, and humbled to the depths the word of the Unbelievers. But the word of Allah is exalted to the heights: for Allah is Exalted in might, Wise.”
- [Prophet (saws) started his Hijra (migration) from Mecca to the City of Lights (Madinatul Munawera) in the month of Muharram.
- Migration of Prophet (saws) is a very significant event as the Islamic Hijri lunar Calendar has started with this important event and it is named Hijri for that reason.
- After 13 years of being tortured by Meccans, prophet Muhammad (saws) left Mecca to go to Madinatul Munawera (city of Light). Prophet (saws) is showing to us through the events of his life, that we should leave the oppression (of the self and the outside world)
- It was Imam Ali’s Sacrifice that made it possible for Prophet Muhammad (saws) to leave Mecca with Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq. Imam Ali (as) laid down in Prophet Muhammad (saws) bed, knowing that the Meccans were coming to kill Prophet (saws).
- Prophet (saws) said, “I am the city of knowledge and Ali is the door.” ‘Bab e Hu” Imam Ali is representing the reality of Number 9. Imam Ali (as) is the first Imam of the 12 Imams, representing the first month of 12 months, Muharram. He was the first door that opened the reality of the Hijra through his sacrifice for prophet (saws)’s mission. You have to go through the door to the City of Light. He is the first door towards the realities of Insaan Kamil.
- The Cave is “Muhammadan Rasul Allah”. On their way to Madina, Prophet (saws) and Abu Bakr as Siddiq, hid in a Cave from the Meccans who were after them. Prophet (saws) wants us to leave the oppression and take refuge in the Cave. Cave is the heart of Sayedina Muhammad (s). Do not be afraid as Allah is with us.
- The Siddiqiya Cave: Allah confirmed that there were Two in the Cave. To enter that cave, you must have the character of a Siddiq (truthful & trustworthy). What follows in the Surat is a description of what is the Siddiqiya character: Repentance, sacrificing everything for love of Sayedina Muhammad (s), loving the Prophet more than you love yourself.]
- (9:61) “…Say “He listens to what is best for you; he believes in Allah, has faith in the Believers and is a Mercy to those of you who believe…”
- Muhammad (saws) is the Safinatul Nijat (Ship of Safety)
- (9:20) “Those who believe and suffer exile and strive with might and main in Allah’s cause, with their goods and their persons, have the highest rank in the sight of Allah: they are the people who will achieve (salvation).” [All Prophets Sacrificed in the holy month of Muharram]
- First Lunar Month Muharram is all about Sacrifice
- Ashura, one of the holiest days of the year is in the 10th of Muharram. Many prophets and their nations were saved on this holy day.
- (9:103) “Take, [O, Muhammad], from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them increase, and invoke [Allah’s blessings] upon them. Indeed, your invocations are reassurance for them. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.”
[Take From Them Khudh min amwalihim sadaqatan.Allah orders Sayedina Muhammad (s) and the ulil amr that represent Prophet (s), “Take from them!” It means, “don’t ask” because if you ask them they won’t give. People worship their material wealth, rather than Allah. Therefore, Allah gives permission to take from them, and in return pray for them so that they will be purified and difficulties will be lifted from them.]
[This verse is a describing the love of Prophet (s) for his community. He watches out for us and he wants for us to enter into that reality. Description of the rahmah (mercy) that is going to open in the next month of the cave (safar): he is ever watchful and always worrying that the Rahman (Most Merciful) dress those that love him and are in his community. From Ati’Allah to Ati’Rasul, the words of Allah are describing how to achieve that rahmah is to run to the hands of Sayidina Muhammad (s). The ulil amr teach people this reality.
- (9:129) “But if they turn away, [O Muhammad], say, “Sufficient for me is Allah; There is not God but He: On Him is my trust – He is the Lord of the Supreme Throne (of Glory)”
“Fa in tawallaw faqul hasbiyAllahu la ilaha illa hu, ‘alayhi tawakkaltu wa huwa rabbul ‘arshil ‘azheem.” [Allah is Sufficient for me]
Wa Ulil Amr Minkum (Obey those who are in Authority)
- Ulil Amr brings guidance and teach you about yourself
- We are created to Worship our Lord and Serve The King. That is the purpose of our lives.
- (9:19) “Do ye make the giving of drink to pilgrims or the maintenance of the Sacred Mosque, equal to (the pious service of) those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and strive with might and main in the cause of Allah? They are not comparable in the sight of Allah: and Allah guides not those who do wrong.”
[The true Ulil Amr, the Strive with all their might in the way of Allah. They Sacrifice their wealth, their time, their comfort, and their life for the sake of pleasing their Lord. Their entire life is about worshiping and being of service to their Lord. ] - Sacrifice is the entry and the first door to reality of Insaan Kamil (Perfected Being)
- Your Being is stamped with number Nine 9. The right hand has an Arabic number 18, 1+8 = 9, and the Left hand has a 81, 8+1=9
- (9:20) “Those who believe and suffer exile and strive with might and main in Allah’s cause, with their goods and their persons, have the highest rank in the sight of Allah: they are the people who will achieve (salvation).”
[Power of Nine is Annihilation. First to sacrifice Goods and Property. Then the Highest sacrifice is The Self- to sacrifice the Bad Characters. Ulil Amr has sacrificed and annihilated themselves to reach the Salvation and highest spiritual ranks. The true Ulil Amr and saints have reached such a high rank that they are called Awliya Ullah (Friends of Allah).]
- Enter The Cave of RasulAllah Allah. Our shelter of safety is RasulAllah (saws). Prophet’s heart is our cave.
- (9:41) “Go ye forth, (whether equipped) lightly or heavily, and strive and struggle, with your goods and your persons in the Cause of Allah. That is best for you if you only knew).”
[Struggle and Never Stop Struggling. Even after reaching the City of Light, Prophet (saws) and his companions had to continue struggling in order to spread the message of Islam. In the same way Ulil Amr, even after reaching high stations, they keep struggling in order to guide the humanity to the right path and salvation. ]
- (9:71) “The Believers men and women, are protectors one of another: they enjoin what is just, and forbid what is evil: they observe regular prayers, practice regular charity, and obey Allah and His Messenger. On them will Allah pour His mercy: for Allah is Exalted in power, Wise.”
[They enjoin what is just, and forbid what is evil “Amr Bil Ma’rofi Wa Yan hawna ‘anil Munkar.” First Within Themselves. Ulil Amr perfect themselves first, train their ego and go through intense training before they get permission to teach others. You can’t give what you don’t have. It is important to notice that in this Aya, Allah wants us to know that only prayer and charity is not enough. You have to Obey Allah and His Messenger. Obedience is the key to reaching the reality of Insan Kaamil (perfected Being).]
- (9:75) “Amongst them are men who made a covenant with Allah, that if He bestowed on them of His bounty they would give (largely) in charity, and be truly amongst those who are righteous.”
[They strive to fulfill their covenant with Allah and Complete their Bayat. If Allah gives to them They Give everything to Allah. The Ulil Amr give from their wealth, their sustenance, and more importantly from their divine knowledge to their followers. ]
- (9:111) Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah , so they kill and are killed. [It is] a true promise [binding] upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur’an. And who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? Then rejoice in your transaction/bargain/bayat which you have contracted. And it is that which is the great achievement.
[Allah Almighty promising that those who trade their material wealth and their being for the eternal life have made the absolute best of bargains. This is the inheritance of the Siddiqiyya character, for when the companions were preparing for a battle, Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, who was very wealthy, brought all his wealth and presented it to Sayedina Muhammad (s). Prophet (s) asked him, “Ya Abu Bakr! What have you left for your family?” Abu Bakr as-Siddiq replied: “Allah and His Messenger.” To which Sayedina Muhammad (s) tured to Umar and said, “Ya Umar, that is true faith: to love me more than you love yourself.” Ulil Amr are inheriting from Ashabin Nabi and Naqshbandi Shaykhs are inheriting from Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as). - (9:119) “O ye who believe! Fear Allah and be with those who are true (in word and deed).”
“Ya ayyuhal ladheena amano, ittaqullaha wa kono ma’as sadiqeen.”
[Allah Orders us to Accompany Sadiqs (truthful). wa kono ma’as sadiqeen (Be with those who are true (in word and deed).
How to become from the Sadiqin (truthful)? It is very difficult. That is why Allah (swt) says to accompany a truthful and trustworthy servant of Allah Almighty. Allah doesn’t say to be a siddiq yourself. Why? Because in order to be a siddiq you must learn that character from a siddiq. So Allah says find a Siddiq and accompany that one. That siddiq is in the Siddiqiyya Cave, in the heart of Sayedina Muhammad (s). By accompanying that one, he will dress you from his character and bring you into that cave.]
