Drawing Loved Ones Into Paradise Through Love

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ ٱلْرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

I seek refuge in Allah (AJ) from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ. Madad ya Sayyidi ya Rasulul Kareem, Ya Habibul ‘Azeem, unzur halana wa ishfa’lana, ‘abidona bi madadikum wa nazarekum.

Atiullah wa atiur Rasul wa Ulil amre minkum. Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.

أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنكُم… ﴿٥٩﴾‏ …

4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)

“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)

Entering the Month of Ramadan Through Baab ur Rahmah (the Gate of Mercy)

Alhamdulillah, that Allah (AJ) opening the holy month of Ramadan in the next night or so. We pray Allah (AJ) grant us its entry and that we enter through the Baab ur Rahmah – the Gate of Mercy. That the virtue of that mercy to dress us and bless us and grant us the ability to fast and to open its realities within our ears, within our eyes. Within our senses, our taste, our hands, our feet. That every sense Allah (AJ) has given to us, that to fast with those senses. The mercy of Allah (AJ) to dress upon its reality and to open the reality of taste. That the highest sense being the sense of taste. But all the senses must be in a state of fasting to open the reality of zawq and the reality of tasting.

Attaining Allah’s (AJ) Mercy Through the Presence of the Prophet ﷺ

That the mercy of Allah (AJ), alhamdulillah, for people whom are following the teachings of awliyaullah (saints), is the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. This is an immense rahmah (mercy). It means that for those whom already have the love of Allah’s (AJ) mercy and know how to attain that mercy. How to attach themselves to that mercy by Durood Sharif (praising on Prophet Muhammad ﷺ), by salawat (praises upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ), by listening to salawat, by doing the salawats. All of that draws us to the presence and the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, and that light is an intercession for us. That light is a blessing for us, that light is Allah’s (AJ) rahmah for us. As that light surrounds us, our families, and all of our loved ones, it allows us the ability to enter into what Allah (AJ) wanted for us of fasting.

Fasting on Behalf of the Loved Ones

Every year we ask that Allah (AJ) grant us the ability to fast, to enter into the haqqaiqs and the reality of sawm (fasting). That we fast on behalf of all our loved ones, all our children, and loved ones who may be fasting or not fasting. That we ask Allah (AJ) to dress and accept our siyam (fasting) on behalf of all of them. That Allah’s (AJ) rahmah and mercy to dress upon their souls and dress them from these immense realities. The realities that many people have forgotten about or never put an importance about.

One of the weight of knowledges and reality of knowledges by knowing all of its immense realities or not knowing all. But just even knowing a drop of these immense realities, we pray that Allah (AJ) doesn’t forsake our loved ones from them. Because of their nafs (ego) and because of their character. Or because of whatever shaitan (satan) is doing to the people of our community and our families that make them to miss this blessing and this barakah. Or they’re too young to understand and other people around in their families don’t put an importance upon it. But the immensity of siyam and the immensity of being an ambassador for our loved ones.

You’ll Be With Whom You Love and Whom You Love Will Be With You

May Allah (AJ) accept our siyam, accept our ‘ibadah, accept our worshipness at a greater level. Not only for ourselves but for the souls of all whom we love. So that our paradises can be filled with all of whom we love. A paradise empty is not really a paradise. Allah (AJ) when He wants to grant a servant paradise, then a part of that paradise must be filled with all whom the servant loves. Because the Hadith of Prophet ﷺ is a truth: ‘You’ll be with whom you love and whom you love will be with you.’

عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: … فَقَالَ (رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ): ” أَنْتَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ.” [اَلْمَصْدَرْ: مُسْلِمْ ٧٥٢٠ ]

‘An Anasin (ra): … Faqala (Rasulullahi) ﷺ: “Anta ma’a man ahbabta.”

Narrated Anas ibn Malik (ra) that …the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “You will be with whom you love.” [Source: Muslim 7520]

Becoming the Ambassador of Love

Our life was to establish that love. People don’t be with you because you inflict force upon them, you hit them, you scare them, you intimidate them. But they have to love you. All whom love you, and you represent this ambassadorship of love, of patience, of tolerance. As a result of being patient and tolerant and kind and loving in the face of every adversity, they begin to love you. They end up loving you. That the Hadith of Prophet ﷺ has its immense reality that they will be with you. That if you live your life as an ambassador of love because you can’t control the actions of people. Not everybody can worship as you worship, not everyone can serve as you deem your service. But what you can do and what is in our hands is to be an ambassador of love.

How to Draw Our Loved Ones into Our Paradise?

That with good character as a reminder always for myself, is to be loving. To be patient, to be tolerant in the face of every type of displeasing situation. As a result of emanating this love and being an ambassador for this love, representing Prophet ﷺ with the character. Representation of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ with good character. Then their hearts, because the rest is in Allah’s (AJ) Hands, is that if we take one step towards ‘ishq (love) and muhabbat (love) and good manners, the rest must be in Allah’s (AJ) hands. That to reciprocate that love through their hearts, because whom owns the hearts of servants is Allah (AJ). That if He likes the actions of the servant that they’re sincere, they’re kind, they’re loving, then Allah (AJ) open the hearts of His servants to be attracted to you. To be loving to you, to bond with you, and that is our way of drawing our loved ones into our paradise.

If their actions are weak but if their love is strong, that love should intercede and draw them near into that proximity. Because as we’re dispensing love and showing love to the greatest of those to love Allah (AJ) and His beloved Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, and what happens is the same for us. As we love Prophet ﷺ, his love is interceding. As we are drawing near to that rahmah, his love is dressing and blessing. As a result of that love, it sees. That when Allah (AJ) is describing the eyes of the soul of Prophet ﷺ, ‘He ﷺ sees with My seeing.’

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِي رَضِّيَّ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ :” اتَّقُوا فِرَاسَةَ الْمُؤْمِنِ، فَإِنَّهُ يَنْظُرُ بِنُورِ اللَّهِ. ” [اَلتِّرْمِذِي، كتاب ٤٧، حديث ٣٤١٩]

‘An Abi Sa’yidel Khudriyi (ra) qala, qala Rasulullahi ﷺ:“Ittaqoo Firasatal Mu’min, Fa Innahu yanzoro Bi Nurillah…” [At Tirmidhi, Kitab 47, Hadith 3419]

Narrated by Sa’yidel Khudri (ra) that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “Beware/be conscious of the spiritual vision of the true believer, for indeed he sees with Allah’s divinely Light.” [At Tirmidhi, Book 47, Hadith #3419]

His holy soul sees all whom are attached to your soul. He looks to the soul and to the heart of that soul and sees that, ‘These are all the people whom this soul loves and because he loves me, I love him and I love them’. As a result of prophetic love, it begins to dress with a mercy.

The Only Power We Hold is to Love

We can call no one to this faith. Allah (AJ) shows us that we’re powerless even to pray. That when they call the ‘azaan (call to prayer) we have to say, “Laa hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.” That only help and power comes from Allah (AJ).

وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ اِلاَّ بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيْمِ

“Wa laa hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil ‘Aliyyil ‘Azheem.”

“And there is no Support/strength, nor power except by Allah, The Sublimely Exalted, The Magnificent.”

But we have the power to love, to love Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. So means that the heart its attachment is to Allah (AJ). Only thing that enters into the heart is the love of Allah (AJ) and the nearness of the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.

Love is a Bond That Can Move Through Space and Time for All of Eternity

When the heart has this immense love, then what they ask of us is for all whom you love, just be loving. Love Allah (AJ) and His Rasul (as) (Messenger) but to the people whom you love, be loving, be kind. As a result, their heart, like a magnet, will lock onto you. This invisible magnet, that locks on. When your heart loves the right, when your heart loves Allah (AJ) and love Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, there’s a flow of juzba and magnetism that flows from them into our hearts and into those whom love us. Love is a bond that can move through space and time for all of eternity. It can draw people into the highest levels of paradise where the word may not reach people. You may speak to ears that are deaf and hands can never force the heart into anything.

That we pray that Allah’s (AJ) rahmah on the opening of Ramadan is this ‘ishq and mercy, and to give us a character which is loving, and tolerant, and patient. That all whom love us to be attached by invisible cords of rahmah and mercy. That, that mercy reach to them, dress them, bless them, give them hope. Guide them and in the end return them to the presence of Allah (AJ) and his beloved Sayyidina Muhammad al-Mustafa ﷺ.

Renewal of the Soul in Ramadan

May Allah (AJ) dress everyone and bless everyone with the immensities of the opening of the holy month of Ramadan and that Allah (AJ) avenge us from the bad doings of shayateen (devils) and shaitan. The sifat al-Muntaqim (attribute of The Avenger) is a dress of the holy month of Ramadan. That Allah (AJ) dresses and avenges his servant on the reality of 81. That all that shaitan has put upon us to destroy us and to take us away from Allah (AJ), Allah (AJ) is the best of planners. With the blessings of Ramadan, as if Allah (AJ) wipe the slate to be clean. By the end of Ramadan, the servant leaves as if a newborn and beatific soul and child. We pray that Allah (AJ) grant us entry into this gate of rahmah and grant us its immense victory in the Yawmul Eid (day of Eid). InshaAllah.
