We Need God’s Permission to Do Good Deeds

From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ 

A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ. Madad ya Sayyidi ya Rasulul Kareem, Ya Habibul ‘Azeem, unzur halana wa ishfa’lana, ‘abidona bi madadikum wa nazarekum.

Only Allah’s (AJ) Will Allows You to Take a Right Course (Holy Qur’an, 81:28-29)

Haji Shahid, the 81^st surah (chapter) which is 9×9, the dress of this month in Surat Al Takwir, inshaAllah. 29 verses, inshaAllah surah…verse 28 and 29, inshaAllah.

Reciter: A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem. “Liman shaa minkum an yastaqeem. Wama tashaoona illa anyashaa Allahu rabbul ‘aalameen.” SadaqAllahul Aliyyil ‘azheem.

لِمَن شَاءَ مِنكُمْ أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ ﴿٢٨﴾‏  وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلَّا أَن يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿٢٩﴾‏

81:28-29 – “Liman shaa minkum an yastaqeem. (1) Wama tashaoona illa anyashaa Allahu rabbul ‘aalameen (2).” (Surat At Takwir)

“For whoever wills among you to take a right course. And you do not will except that Allah wills – Lord of the worlds.” (The Overthrowing, 81:28-29)

Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: Wa barakah Rasulul Kareem (most generous messenger). A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem. Atiullah wa atiur Rasul wa Ulil amre minkum. Always reminder for myself ana abdukal ‘ajeezu, dayeefu, miskinu, zhalim, wa jahl and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we are in existence.

أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنكُم… ﴿٥٩﴾‏ …

4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulul amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)

“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, andd those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)

Our Good Deeds Aren’t From Our Cleverness, But From Allah’s (AJ) Will

Allah’s (AJ) ni’mat and blessings upon us and the end of this blessed month, holy month, and that Allah (AJ) give us from the knowledge of ‘arifeen (knowers). That the dress of this month, its dress from Surat Al-Takwir. Allah (AJ) ending the holy surah by telling us from all the warnings in the verses prior and, ‘Whoever amongst you wants to take the right course,’ which is everyone, inshaAllah, that feels inspired ‘and you will not and you will not except if Allah (AJ) has to will it, Rabbul ‘aalameen – Lord of all the worlds, all of creation.’

It means that when we show it to Allah (AJ), our gratefulness, that we have nothing from ourselves; not this faith, not our good deeds and good actions. None of them are done by the cleverness of ourselves. For if Allah (AJ), on this month telling us that whomever wants and wills to do good, you can’t except by the Will of Allah (AJ).

We Have No Power Nor Support Except By Allah (AJ)

As a result, the one whom ponders and reflects looks at their life. Say, ya Rabbi, all these beautiful deeds – the giving of food, giving of water, coming together, chanting, praising, loving, loving Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, putting within our hearts to pray, to fast, to do everything. Even in the prayer when they calling, ‘Hayya ‘alas salah – come to prayer,’ our reply is ‘La hawla wa la quwwata illah billah.’

وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ اِلاَّ بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيْمِ

“Wa laa hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil ‘Aliyyil ‘Azheem.”

“And there is no Support/strength, nor power except by Allah, The Sublimely Exalted, The Magnificent.”

Strive to Move Towards Allah’s (AJ) Satisfaction With Good Deeds

That I have…there’s no help and there is no support, no power except by Allah (AJ). It means I haven’t even the ability to get up and pray to You, ya Rabbi, if You don’t grant it and You don’t will it. As a result of our fasting and our coming to the end of the fast, coming to the end of holy Ramadan, that, ‘Ya Rabbi, grant us Your Will. Write for us that we please You.’ “Illahi anta maqsodi, wa Ridaka Matlob.”

اِلَهِى اَنْتَ مَقْصُوْدِيْ وَرِضَاكَ مَطْلُوْبِيْ

“Illahi anta maqsodi, wa Ridaka Matlobi.”

“My God, You are my aim, and Your Satisfaction is what I seek.”

Write for us that we worship You. Write for us that we love Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Ya Rabbi, write for us all these good deeds. Write for us from our wealth to feed the people, to give them food, to give them things that they don’t have, to be a custodian of Your mulk (earthly realm), to be ambassador of the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. For all that we will to do good, ya Rabbi, if You don’t write it for us ‘ajran kabeer (a great reward). If You don’t write for us these good deeds that we become the blessed ones, to be custodians of Your Will. That You will it and that gift was given to us. The gift to convey knowledge, the gift to pray, the gift to do everything we do good from Allah (AJ).

Our Good Deeds Place Us in the Company of Prophets, Truthful Ones, Martyrs and the Righteous (Holy Qur’an, 4:69)

We pray that on this month, Allah (AJ) accepts that and write for us, ‘Ya Rabbi, to always be servants whom fulfill Your Will, complete Your Will.’ “Illahi anta maqsodi, wa Ridaka Matlob,” that we continuously trying to move towards Your Will and asking for Your eternal forgiveness. That not to become angered by us, not to become discouraged or to become upset by our character. That Your rahmah and mercy to continuously dress us and grant us these good deeds, blessed deeds so that we can be in the company of those whom we love of nabiyeen (prophets), siddiqeen (truthful), shuhadayi (martyrs) wa saliheen (righteous).

﴾وَمَن يُطِعِ اللّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاء وَالصَّالِحِينَ وَحَسُنَ أُولَـئِكَ رَفِيقًا ﴿٦٩ 

4:69 – “Wa man yuti’ Allaha war Rasola faolayeka ma’al ladheena an’ama Allahu ‘alayhim minan Nabiyeena, was Siddiqeena, wash Shuhadayi, was Saliheena wa hasuna olayeka rafeeqan.” (Surat An-Nisa) 

“And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger (pbuh) are in the company of those on whom Allah has bestowed His Favours/Blessings – of the Prophets, the sincere Truthful, the Martyrs/Witnesses to the truth (who testify), and the Righteous, and excellent are those as companions.” (The Women, 4:69) 

“May Allah (AJ) Help You With a Mighty Victory” (Holy Qur’an, 48:3)

In their blessed company, ya Rabbi, Your light above all. We pray that Allah (AJ) grant us this Divinely Will, to ourselves, our family and our communities. That we be in the oceans of Allah’s (AJ) satisfaction and mercy, under the oceans of Allah’s (AJ) maghfirah and forgiveness, under the intercession of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, his holy companions and his Ahlul Bayt (holy family of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) and under the nazar (gaze) of his awliyaullah (saints) fis samayi wa fil ard (in heavens and on earth).

They facilitate every difficulty coming. They facilitate a relief, a najat (salvation) and an opening from everything that shut. “Wa yansurakAllahu nasran ‘aziza.” Every door that we face, that they grant an opening. Every difficulty that we face, they grant an opening. “YansurakAllahu nasran ‘aziza.” That Allah (AJ) support with His sifat al ‘Aziz in which nothing can be stopped.

وَيَنصُرَكَ اللَّهُ نَصْرًا عَزِيزًا ﴿٣﴾‏

48:3 – “Wa yansurakAllahu nasran ‘aziza” (Surat Al Fath)

“And [that] Allah may help you with a mighty victory.” (The Victory 48:3)

Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa ﷺ wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
