Ahlul Badr: The Companions Who Gave Everything for the Love of Prophet ﷺ
From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi
أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ ٱلْرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I seek refuge in Allah (AJ) from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ. Madad ya Sayyidi ya Rasulul Kareem, Ya Habibul ‘Azeem, unzur halana wa ishfa’lana, ‘abidona bi madadikum wa nazarekum.
Atiullah wa atiur Rasul wa Ulil amre minkum. Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.
أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنكُم… ﴿٥٩﴾ …
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Prophetic Mercy Within Warfare
Prophet ﷺ laid the foundations of even warfare – not the destruction of homes, not the destruction of women and children. Not the destruction of rivers and water, not the destruction of trees and fruits and plants. Not the destruction of even livelihood and animals, livestock, and animals. That when you see that the heavenly rules for the most violent acts on Earth, which are warfare. How Allah (AJ) brought the reality of Prophet ﷺ that for even mankind’s most violent actions, Allah (AJ) set upon its reality immense mercies and immense restrictions and guidelines. We pray that Allah (AJ) give us all the strength to propagate this flag of love for Prophet ﷺ, inshaAllah. With all our ability, all our wealth, all our time, all our efforts, and all our families.
Immense Love of Ahlul Badr (People of Badr) for Prophet ﷺ
We want to be from Ahlul Badr and these are not empty titles. These are men who, on an instant, gave their life for Prophet ﷺ, and this is the immense accomplishment. We’ve said many years the story of Ahlul Badr that they went from trade to get their caravans and to get their sustenance. That the reminder of Ahlul Badr, Holy Companions who set off to get the caravans of their goods. That they believed were in the tribes from the people of Makkah whom they left behind when they went to Madina. They had word that these caravans were traveling with their goods. Maybe they would go and intervene, take them and take them back to their home. Those that they left it and ran from Makkah with those properties.
So they set out with light armory, no armory for battle, for war, just for traveling through the desert. As events would have, and Allah (AJ) would test, that caravan didn’t take place and they escaped. But a caravan of warfare appeared. Prophet ﷺ described to them that, ‘I brought you on one condition, but now it looks like it has changed, that they’ve sent an army to battle against me. It is up to you if you want to go. This is you came for the purpose of getting your goods, but now this became a battle, and we are not armed for battle.’ This is just a short summary of that reality, and the Holy Companions said, ‘We’ve been through everything with you, and we would never leave your side. If you order us towards goodness, we take it. If you order us away from badness, we take it. Never will we leave your side.’
Becoming the Holy Family of Prophet ﷺ Through Love
It means they showed to Allah (AJ) their willingness to die for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Never seeing Allah (AJ), never knowing anything of the heavens. What they knew was their love for Prophet ﷺ, and that’s what makes them to be the shining moons and the companions of Badr. So means the Companions like family, that they shine like the family of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Because what makes you family is not only the blood that runs through you, but the sign of the love that you have. That your love is a tested love and a true love. So, this was an amazing accomplishment and an amazing opening. “Idha jaa a Nasrullahi wal Fath. Wa ra-aitan naasa yadkhuloona fee deenil laahi afwajaa.”
إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّـهِ وَالْفَتْحُ ﴿١﴾
110:1 – “Idha jaa a Nasrullahi wal Fath.” (Surat An-Nasr)
“When there comes the Divine Support of Allah and the Victory.” (The Divine Support, 110:1)
وَرَأَيْتَ النَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًا ﴿٢﴾
110:2 – “Wa ra-aitan naasa yadkhuloona fee deenil laahi afwajaa.” (Surat An-Nasr)
“And you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes”. (The Divine Support, 110:2)
The 313 and the Chain of Guidance
That when you see these mankind, that nasrullah (victory of Allah (AJ)) these are the souls, these 313 souls that accomplished this immense reality. What Allah (AJ) dressed upon their soul, dressed upon the reality and became a great support for the nation of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Because what Allah (AJ) dressed upon the soul is an eternal dress. These 313, they are taking from the 313 messengers of Allah (AJ). They support the 313 awliya (saints) that are always upon this Earth with permission of guidance. They guide through their tongue, through their heart, and with Lisan as Siddiqin ‘Aliya (the Highest Tongue of Truth).
That through the door of Imam Ali (as), through the door of Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as), the tongue that guide humanity back to their reality supported by the Ahlul Badr. That is an immense light, immense blessings, on how to receive that light. How to receive these realities and to dress humanity with that companionship. To be companions with the Ahlul Badr are to be companions with these souls. These souls that guide and the reality of guidance then be familiar with them. That’s what it means to make the madad (call for support), to follow the shaykh, to email the [email protected] is to be a companion of the way. It means to accompany the way through your brain, through your heart, through their actions. Through everything that Allah (AJ) has given to you. Be a companion for the truth and for the love of Prophet ﷺ, inshaAllah. Let’s do Ummul Du’a. [Shaykh asks audience to recite du’a].

Question 1: Sayyidi, passing of our Pious mother Sayyida A’isha Siddiqa (as) also on the 17th of Ramadan, what is the combined importance of Ahlul Badr and the holy passing for tariqah (spiritual path)?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: The holy passing Sayyidatina A’isha (as) and Ahlul Badr, any of the family of Prophet ﷺ, and all of the family of Prophet ﷺ, have immense blessings. Immense lights, and we pray that Allah (AJ) dress us with their lights, their knowledges, their love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That we give food in their name and in their honor, and that Allah (AJ) keep us under their holy feet and resurrect us under their feet, inshaAllah.
Question 2: Sayyidi, last weekend you spoke on the soul contract, can you please explain again the soul contract?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: I don’t remember what I said last week. Soul contract. Yeah, in what context did we talk about the soul contract? Rehan, Rehan is there, he is a scribe, he has all the notes. [Shaykh mentions audience]. So, we have to ask what exactly did we say on that night so that we can refresh that, inshaAllah. Rehan, what did we say about the soul contract? You have your notes? I can’t hear anything; you’re not near the mic.
Audience: He said he didn’t have any notes on that specific topic.
Okay, yeah, because I don’t recall soul contract. I don’t know what that was in reference. What else we have Shaykh?
Question 3: If we’re sitting in a company and receiving tajalli (manifestation) strong, do we catch up the negative energies from the others around us if we are experiencing an opening of our energy points?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: No, if it is a holy association, or if you’re in the mall. So, if you’re in the mall and you think you’re receiving energies, then you have to be careful. Because now the negative energy of people will affect you. So, try to go outside with something nice – a bench by a tree, and just pass your energy at that point.
If you’re in a zikr and a holy association, then it is the holy association; it is not you. So, the association will carry the difficulties. So, it depends on where people are that they feel they’re receiving something good. If they’re just at a gathering of people just backbiting, talking, gossiping. Then yeah, again, the energy may pick up from negative energies. So, we have to then try to isolate ourself or to close the connection down. In which you don’t try to receive more energy and start doing more salawats (praises upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ). If the place and the environment is not sort of adequate for that type of energy or not appropriate for that type of energy, inshaAllah.
Question 4: How can we return back to ourselves from the qarin attached to us? How do we identify and distinguish the qarin from us?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: Yeah, that’s the nafs (ego) and following your nafs and following your devils. If you’re new, that’s probably somebody new asking something like that, so you have to get the meditation book [A Timeless Reality], find out how to meditate, connect yourself. Because it is such a beginning state. That’s you know, that’s not the state of someone who knows himself will know their lord. Because our way is the way of tafakkur and contemplation.
So, the people should know how to contemplate, how to identify themselves, their bad character. They get the meditation book or get the articles online for the meditation and tafakkur [NurMuhammad.com]. They take a path of trying to know themself. So, your whole fight is that qarin. So, our lives is about how to subdue the attraction of that devil, that jinn (unseen being), with the devils outside. Because he likes all the outside devils and wants to invite them in. So, this is your lifelong battle. You’ll never get rid of it, just the actions you do will either deflate it.
So, the ta’weez (prayer for protection) that you wear burns it. The food that you eat burns it, the practices that you do burns it, and keep reducing its attraction to the outer devils. But the one who give in their inner devil then the outer devil overtakes them. I think our guys released a video about the dog. That, that qarin like a dog, either you tame it and make it to be domesticated where it eats out of your hand. Or that dog will eat your face and eat you because it is out of control and it is too violent and too vicious. That, you see on humans, and they like it. They call each other, ‘Hey, dog [dawg], how are you?’ So, they actually identify as a dog. Prophet ﷺ described that the black dog is the most dangerous, most dangerous, most violent.
Funny, people who watch these videos, Muslims keep asking for proof and daleel, and that’s a sad, sad statement. That we’re not here to prove anything to you. If you don’t like it, go watch something else. You have to go and educate yourself, educate yourself, watch and learn the Hadith. When you hear from a scholar a teaching, don’t ask him for proof, that’s insulting. Go and read your own Hadith and find it. If you didn’t find it, didn’t like it, then go, go study from someone else. But it is like Kindergarten now, everyone trying to say ‘Prove it, prove it, prove it.’
Imam Shafi (Q) described that, ‘I would never debate a man with no mind,’ because you lose. Because everything you ask, everything you teach him, he says prove it. So, we’re in a time where people have no mind. If you have a mind, go study, go do your research, go find all the Hadith that you want. When you hear teachings from us, go find it in your Hadith, go find it in your fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence) books, you know, SubhanAllah. If you follow these kamil (perfected) shaykhs, when we do their awrads (daily practices), we do their zikrs (Divine remembrance), we do their wazifas (spiritual practices), you find everything they recite in the fiqh books. Oh, that this du’a (supplication) was for this, and Prophet ﷺ said if you say“SubhanAllah wa bi hamdhihi, SubhanAllahil ‘Azeem, Astaghfirullah” 100 times at the beginning of the day, it unties and does all your obstacles for the day.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الْعَظِيْمِ أَسْتَغْفِرُاللهَ
“SubhanAllah wa bi hamdhihi, SubhanAllahil ‘Azeem, Astaghfirullah”
Glory be to Allah and to Him be praise. Glory be to Allah Almighty. I ask Allah’s forgiveness.
It is already in the Fajr (dawn prayer) wazifa. So you’ll see that every word that they’re reciting in the Fajr etiquettes and whatever you want to call awrads, recite them. Recite them in the morning if you could do it at the Fajr. As soon as Fajr, you wake up, whatever time you wake up, start to recite the awrad. Because that is a protection for your whole day going forward. That was the benefit of not having to take years of schooling to find each case and each Hadith and each sort of law for prayer. If you follow these perfected shaykhs, they gave you the entire awrads of what to recite. You recited it until one day you came across, ‘Oh my gosh, these are all in this Hadith, these are all in these law books of how to pray Fajr.’ Most of them are now in the app [Muhammadan Way App]. If you go under the different du’a sections that we compiled, the different du’as of Prophet ﷺ, you look at all those du’as. They’re in one of the awrads. So, alhamdulillah, this is Allah’s (AJ) immense blessings of guidance that when you follow the guided shaykhs and you copy them, you find yourself to be guided. This is a tremendous blessing. InshaAllah.
