Achieving the Secrets of Soul Through the Path of Nothingness Q&A
From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi

I seek refuge in Allah (AJ) from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ.
Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Question 1: Sayyidi last week you mentioned we all knew what our soul knows or is capable of, have we ever known these secrets, and if yes, why did we make to forget?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: Did you ever know those secrets? I don’t know. Why people forget is because they come to earth. So, in heavens, inshaAllah we knew what Allah (AJ) dressed us with, “Allamal Qur’an Khalaqal Insaan.”
55:2-3 – “Allamal Qur’an (2). Khalaqal Insaan (3).” (Surat Ar Rahman)
”It is He Who has taught the Qur’an. (2) He has created Mankind. (3)” (The Beneficent, 55: 2-3)
So, Allah (AJ) has taught everything and then created our physicality. So, these knowledges and these realities already burned upon the soul. But when we come into the satanic abode of dunya (material world), shaitan’s (satan) job is to make us forget. We forgot we came from heavens. We forgot what Allah (AJ) dressed us with, and we relied upon shaitan’s toys to have any sense of importance, which Allah (AJ) gave us everything. The more that we rely upon satanic equipment, the less we understand what Allah (AJ) has bestowed upon us. I think we talked about that in the reality of the story of Sayyidina Sulaiman (as). It was either asked from the ifrit (powerful demon) to bring something, or Allah (AJ) stopped and said, ‘No! Get it from the one whom has knowledge of the book,’ he brings it faster, with the blink of an eye he brings.
27:39 – “Qala ‘ifreetun mina aljinni ana ateeka bihi qabla an taqooma min maqamika wa inni ‘alayhi laqawiyyun ameen.” (Surat An-Naml)
“Said An ‘Ifrit, of the Jinns, I will bring it to you before you rise from your place/council, and indeed, I am for this (purpose/task) strong and trustworthy.” (The Ant, 27:39)
27:40 – “Qala alladhee ‘indahu ‘ilmun minal kitabi ana ateeka bihi qabla an yartadda ilayka Tarfuka, falamma raahu mustaqirran ‘indahu qala hadha min fadli rabbi…” (Surat An-Naml)
“Said one who had knowledge of the book: “I will bring it to you within the twinkling of an eye!” Then when (Solomon) saw it placed firmly before him, he said: “This is by the Grace of my Lord!…” (The Ant, 27:40)
Had Sayyidina Sulaiman (as) chose the ifrit, then it would have established a sunnah (tradition) from the way of the Prophets (as) to ask something from ifrit. Allah (AJ) didn’t want to establish that system, but shaitan did. The satanic kingdom of earth kept with that system, they ask the ifrit for favors. And what Allah (AJ) want from us is ask people of the book, and the most powerful book is Holy Qur’an. ‘They learned the book and they taught the book, they’re Rabbaniyoon (lordly souls).’ Rab (lord), rab. Some people say, ‘What is rab? Why you people say rab?’ It is Allah (AJ) said, ‘Be Rabbaniyoon.’
3:79 – “…wa lakin kono rabbaniyena bima kuntum tu`allimoonal kitaba wabima kuntum tadrusoon.” (Surat Ali-Imran)
“…Be Lordly Souls/faithful servants/worshippers of Him, Because (of what) you have taught the Book and you have studied it earnestly.” (Family of Imran, 3:79)
Rabbaniyoon is the plural for rab. So, this is a title in which Allah (AJ) gave to those who learned the book and taught the book, the Holy Qur’an. Even deeper the kitab (book) of Allah (AJ) is the reality of Prophet ﷺ. So, everything is in the hands of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That our connection with Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ will make us to be Rabbaniyoon, inshaAllah.
Question 2: Sayyidi, can you please expand from last night’s suhbah (discourse) that Prophet’s ﷺ immense love that he brings out what a soul is destined to mature into and achieve?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: When we were talking on the birth of Sayyidina Ali (as), they wanted to make sure that it is clear that whatever you try to give of importance and stations of these Holy Companions and Holy Ahlul Bayt (Holy Family of Prophet ﷺ) all of it is based on the power of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
So, to give credit where credit is due. Nothing happens to us, no growth, no power, no realities without the permission of Prophet ﷺ and not without the reality of Prophet ﷺ dressing the servant. There is no power independent of that reality. There is no secret independent of that secret. The only secret of Allah (AJ) is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. What he dresses the servant with is what they’ll have. If he doesn’t dress the servant, they won’t have it. The same for the Ulul Amr (saints). That you don’t achieve anything because you’re special but that this is a gift that has been given to you. As a result, it is coming from Prophet ﷺ to these Ulul Amr and these Ulul Amr bestow upon the servant. So that to teach us: you’re not something independent of Allah (AJ) but you are dependent upon Allah (AJ). “Fa atiullah atiur Rasul wa Ulil amre minkum.”
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
“Ata” means to obey so that Allah (AJ) created a system based on obedience. If, for any time, you think you got something and you left the ocean of obedience, it can be pulled immediately. Because it comes from the shaykh, and that comes from the hand of Prophet ﷺ, and that comes from the Divine Hand. So, that to always understand that we are under that submission. That we have nothing and we took a path in which to be nothing. That’s what people can’t understand that, ‘How do you take a path to be nothing and then you say you achieve everything?’ That’s the binary code. As much as you think that you are something, you are actually nothing and you have nothing. As much as you entered into their system of learning how to be off, learning how to be a nuqt (dot), a nuqt can reach towards power. But a fake 1 is just a fake 1 because it doesn’t have any power.
We said even for home, all the complaining spouses that complain and complain and complain that, ‘Oh, this is not nice, he is not nice, this not nice, they’re not nice,’ they still didn’t get the system or the talks. The talks were about being a nuqt, a nuqt has lots of power. A ‘1’ has no power and a ‘1’ in the presence of a more dominant ‘1’ absolutely has no power. Because it becomes like a boxing match. But the one who understood the system of being nothing, nothing, nothing, they gain proximity to Allah (AJ). And whatever they ask, it will start to happen in the home. They don’t care who is listening, not listening because this is the power of a nuqt.
But people don’t understand and they think, ‘No, no, I have to be a ‘1.’ This is what the television tells me. I have to be a ‘1’ and I have to sort of battle my way to be a ‘1.’ That’s the system of dunya, and it doesn’t work and it ends in catastrophes. But the system of the heavens is to be nothing. As you achieve a state of nothingness, you draw near to Allah (AJ); you merely ask in your heart and Allah (AJ) power of “Kun faya koon.” It begins to happen, and people don’t understand how it is happening.
36:82 – “Innama AmruHu idha Arada shay an, an yaqola lahu kun faya koon.” (Surat YaSeen)
“His Command is when He Wills/Intends a thing, He says to it, “Be,” and it is!” (YaSeen, 36:82)
But that’s the miracle of Allah (AJ). This is the secret of our lives and how to achieve this Divine grace and how to achieve these realities, inshaAllah.
Question 3: Sayyidi, we pray for your good health and long life and infinity of knowledges. Forgive us, ya Sayyidi. Would you please expand for us the nuqt of the ba and the reality of 63?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: The reality of 63 and ba and red shoes? You left out like french fries or something.
I just explained the nuqt that to be nothing. So, first try to be a nuqt in your home. Try to be a nuqt in your meditation, and definitely practice being a nuqt with the shaykh. That you’re nothing, you’re nothing, you’re nothing. That you want to be a vehicle for propagating the da’wah (religious propagation) and the mission of the shaykh and that becomes a life goal. That’s not something easy to achieve. That everything in this dunya is about being the 1 and to pump up somebody to think they’re the 1. But taking a path in our lives just to be nothing, to be nothing. Continuously pushing ourselves that we’re nothing, I’m no one, I’m no one so that to achieve Divine grace and achieve proximity. So that that becomes an immense secret.
So when they achieve that proximity and achieve that reality, then they’re drawing closer to the reality of Prophet ﷺ, closer to the reality of the Divine, and closer to the reality of the Ulul Amr. The Ulul Amr they don’t do well with 1s. So you probably won’t go up any further the chain. So, that’s the system – is that for us to even reach the presence of Prophet ﷺ, Allah (AJ) inspire us to go train with these Ulul Amr. But in these schools of tarbiyah (discipline), very few 1s get through the door and stay through the door. Because the system is hard. They keep teaching and pushing and teaching and teaching until the 1s they run away. Because they were looking for recognition, they were looking for something. They wanted to be recognized, they want to talk about their dreams and their stations and impress people with who they are. They don’t do and they don’t fare very well with the shaykh, and they often run away.
Some run away with also bad comments because that’s the reality of a 1; 1s don’t go away gracefully. It is like fir’auns (pharaoh), many fir’aun, you imagine a fir’aun come and try to reach to a reality – it is not something easy for them. That’s why the system is designed like that. Because how are they going to go as a 1 into the presence of Prophet ﷺ and to think that they are something in that presence? So, means then the shaykh is at the front like hammer; they keep boom, boom, boom, boom until make everything to be soft. So that these types of people either they become soft or they run. And usually when they run they got some bad things to say as they’re running, inshaAllah.
Question 4: Does each student get individual dress from amongst the Holy Companions, Holy Prophets (as), and our Holy golden chain Shaykhs?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: Yeah, you get an individual hammer; a hammer specific for you, right? Because you’re a special type of nail, then they have to have a special hammer to pound that one down.
So, the whole concept of being nothing, how could you have a special something? Come to be nothing, come to be nothing, come to be nothing. In that nothingness, Allah (AJ) has a reality for every creation, and they have a purpose and a promise that they made to Allah (AJ). But that won’t be understood until the station of nothingness. But the system is meant to keep pushing down, keep pushing down, keep pushing down to see how much the student can lower themself and lower the influence of shaitan. But we said in last days Allah (AJ) will be doing that on a massive scale. So for those whom are willing to humble themselves, alhamdulillah, they can reach to that najat (salvation), reach to that energy before Allah (AJ) begins pounding.
So we look at the earth, we look at the news, and see how horrific Allah’s (AJ) pounding is. If people think that paradise is easy, and if they’ve ever seen anyone suffer in dunya, that’s not but a drop of the suffering in akhirah (hereafter). So, it only gets more difficult. So, people shouldn’t be fooled thinking they can do whatever they want, wait whatever they want. This is a difficult life, a difficult set of testing. We pray that Allah (AJ) make our akhirah to be beatific and peaceful, but it requires work. It is not just going to happen because we said it to happen. It requires the khidmat (service), it requires the struggle, it requires the humbling of oneself to reach to the presence of Prophet ﷺ. Those are all the gifts for the humble servants of Allah (AJ). That Allah (AJ), for the sake of their humility, rewards them with these treasures and these lights, which can’t be understood.
These are the treasures of the grave and then to take the difficulty of the grave away from them. So, the world is for us something to relieve the difficulty of the grave. The world is not our entertainment area. But Allah (AJ) gave this world for us as a means in which to make the grave more peaceful. So we do good deeds, good actions, spread the love of Prophet ﷺ, spread the realities of guidance so that people come also to this salvation and to this Divinely grace. As a means, Allah (AJ) to forgive us any difficulty that will be visiting us in the grave, inshaAllah.
Question 5: Sayyidi, in our pursuit to be of good character and to be a nuqt, people try taking advantage of your goodness and kindness. How to stop this from happening?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: You have to set your own limits on what people trying to take advantage. You can be humble and be in control; people let themselves be taken advantage of.
So many times people come thinking a shaykh is someone you can take advantage of, but they’re clever. They’re humble, at the same time very sharp, they understand and they understand the intentions of people. So, it is a training in our lives that to take a path of humility, have a strong connection with the madad (support). And not put ourselves in a condition or in a place in which somebody is going to overtake and take an abuse of that. So, that requires your training, inshaAllah. Don’t go places where you know people are abusive, and that it requires you to be quiet. So, we went to some of these places they always want to go to like, you know, somebody’s business or somebody’s hamburger, burger shop, but the people there are loud and like clowns. So, it is not the place of a shaykh to put himself amongst clowns.
So, in our lives, if you invite a clown into your house, it becomes a circus. So, try to limit the amount of clowns you’re exposed to in life so that you can live by the Heavenly Kingdom standards. That’s why we don’t do certain things because you go to certain environments, and by the nature of that environment, it is not going to be holy. The people’s mouths are not going to be holy, and the way they talk is not going to be holy. So, you don’t put yourself in those types of situations. Always remember, if you invite a clown into your house, it became a circus. I learned that the other day. No clowns allowed because we don’t want circus.
Question 6: Sayyidi I am by no means a Wahabi but I was scrolling on Instagram and came across an Islamic page and a surah (chapter) that says: “So don’t invoke anyone besides Him, Allah (AJ).” I love the Sufi way but does this not mean that the concept of madad by calling “madad ya Sayyidi” is shirk (polytheism)?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: No, it is not at all; that’s a deception and a lie. We just gave you Surah Munafiqun, where Allah (AJ) says in Surah Munafiqun is that to test the munafiq (hypocrite): ‘Tell them go and ask Prophet ﷺ to pray for their forgiveness.’ Which ayah (verse) was that? Six, seven. Read the ayah, read it on our app [Muhammadan Way App] the English. When Allah (AJ) wants to test the munafiq whom are coming against Prophet ﷺ, what He said? Verse 5 in English. From our app.
Audience: ‘And when it is said to them: Come, Allah’s (AJ) noble messenger may seek forgiveness for you.’
63:5 – “Wa izaa qeela lahum ta’aalaw yastaghfir lakum rasoolul laahi lawwaw ru’oo sahum wa ra aytahum yasuddoona wa hum mustakbiroon” (Surat Al Munafiqun)
“And when it is said to them, “Come, the Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)) will ask forgiveness for you,” they turn their heads in disgust and you see them turn away in arrogance.” (The Hypocrites, 63:5)
Ah, right there, Prophet ﷺ will ask for forgiveness for you – this is a command from Allah (AJ). So now, what you’re saying that Allah (AJ) said nobody will pray for you? Where’d they come up with that? So, Allah (AJ) is saying right there that, ‘Go to Prophet ﷺ; he ﷺ will pray for forgiveness for you.’ And they say, ‘No! They turn their back and walk away.’ So, it is going to take a lot more clever Wahabi garbage than that.
Question 7: Can you please help to understand if our purpose in this life is to propagate Divine knowledges and spread realities of the light and love of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ? Does a woman fulfill this purpose in raising, teaching her children, in a good character at home, or should she try spreading the knowledge to others as well?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: No, no. Just listen to your home, make your home to be a peace and to be a paradise.
Listen to your husband and teach your children about the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, and that’s all that Allah (AJ) asks of you. So, that’s the greatest blessing to be a nuqt – how to keep the peace, how to keep the paradise reality within the home. Then, how to raise the children with the love of Allah (AJ), love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. This is a great accomplishment that warrants paradise. So, they don’t have to go out and be day’i (religious propagator) and to do da’wah; that’s not necessary.
But if they have nothing to do and they’re sitting and becoming a couch potato, then yes, go out. Make your da’wah, click on your articles, click on the AI graphics. But if you have a family to raise, family to do your work for, then alhamdulillah. This is the greatest opportunity. People whom have nothing should never be stagnant; they should always keep themself active in the way of Allah (AJ). First and primary for their family, if they don’t have, then to do the da’wah and spread the love of Prophet ﷺ, inshaAllah.
Question 8: How do we increase our madad and make it stronger? Please forgive our bad adab.
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: The same way, just making the salawats (praises upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ), making the connection.
That as soon as you make your connection, you have to keep making it to become stronger. As the connection becomes stronger, it becomes self-evident. You understand then how strong that connection is becoming. It is not something you do once; it is something you do all day long. So, we described that before: you have to make madad before you pray, you have to make madad before you sleep. You have to make madad before you go for zikr (Divine remembrance). Madad before you do anything.
So you’ll know if it is working, and it is getting stronger by just doing it. But if it’s a philosophy in which you just want to read one time then, you know, think about it and is it getting stronger, and think about another month later if it got stronger. No, it is something that you do on a daily basis and you know that it is getting stronger. When you don’t do it, you’ll know that it got weakened and almost lost. That’s when shaitan can attack—when there is no madad, and there’s no connection. That’s all that shaitan wants is to attack and to pull the person away from that reality.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa ﷺ wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
