Strength Through Madad (Support) Amid Oppression, Spiritual Battles, and End-Times Challenges Q&A
From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi
أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ ٱلْرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I seek refuge in Allah (AJ) from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ.
Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.
أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنكُم… ﴿٥٩﴾ …
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Question 1: Sayyidi, what do we do if we are forced into situations we don’t approve of, but staying quiet also is expected from us? We find ourself helpless. Yesterday was put in a gathering that were wasting time singing, and so much time was lost. How much ruins the heart witnessed?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: Yeah, if you’re oppressed, then Allah (AJ) accepts the prayers of oppressed people. So, this is what you can do. If you’re from, you know, certain cultures and you just want to complain about all the surroundings.
If you’re truly oppressed, Allah (AJ) will grant the reward of the oppressed and the du’as (supplications) of the oppressed. Before you go, ‘Ya Rabbi, I don’t want to go; I’m being forced to go. Please help me and grant me Your najat (salvation).’ And you go, and you’re forced to be in a place you didn’t want to be. If you’re not the one with authority, then you’re oppressed. Alhamdulillah, good for you. They take you everywhere; you’re oppressed, oppressed, oppressed, and Allah (AJ) accepts the du’a of oppressed people. But be careful because bala (affliction) will come on other people’s heads who oppress good people. So don’t have anything to ever worry about. Right?
Say, ‘Oh Shaykh, they’re going to make everybody take this shot.’ You know, in our Fajr (dawn prayer), the Qunut of Imam Shafi (Q) is all about oppression, and what did we give out? Recite the Qunut of Fajr [Muhammadan Way App: Home → Practices → Salah → Salatul Fajr] and, ‘Ya Rabbi they’re forcing me; I’m being oppressed. Make it to be water.’ No problem, not one of our people died, Alhamdulillah, and many were forced to take that, right? But Allah (AJ) can make anything to be water. He said, ‘Are they running to take it because they think they’re going to be safe?’ We said, ‘No, Ya Rabbi. They’re being forced to do it.’ Forced? Then read the Qunut of Imam Shafi (Q) in our Fajr; it is all about forced oppression. Allah (AJ) saves those who are oppressed, become water. “Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem.” Then they found out later, ‘Oh, some of the shots actually were water.’ How did that happen?
Question 2: Will the zulfiqar (sword of Imam Ali (as)) ta’weez (prayer for protection) help to cut the satanic thoughts that keep coming?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: It will cut your head. So, that’s where satan is residing on you. So, the zikr (Divin remembrance) of “La ilaha illAllah (there is no deity but Allah (AJ)),” the salawat (praises) on Prophet ﷺ, keeping a continuous state of wudu (ablution) and making your madad (support), right. So, we said before, when you ask certain questions, we understand what you’re not doing.
If you’re not making the madad, shaitan is biting your ear because he can come; he is probably on your shoulders biting your ear. But that’s not the system. So, if you made the madad, you did ta’weez, you made your wudu, you sat, made the madad, madad. Are you telling me that in the presence of the shaykh’s dress all upon you, shaitan is coming? It is impossible! So, the system doesn’t happen like that. It is when you’re not in the madad that the shaitans are coming. Or you misunderstood your madad – don’t do it all the time; do it periodically, think of too many different shaykhs.
Make the madad with the shaykh, keep that understanding at all times, all times! ‘I’m in the madad of the shaykh. As soon as I want to pray, I’m in my madad. As soon as I want to do my zikr, I’m in my madad. As soon as I’m about to go to sleep, I make on my du’as, that your madad and dress be upon me and to sanctify my state of sleep.’ As soon as you start having dreams, you’ll be tested. You’ll have a dream that burglars are coming, and you get up, and you’re trying to use a weapon to fight them off. Then you put out that weapon, and nothing happens. You pull out a knife, and it falls over flat, and it keep happening. ‘They’re coming from the bushes; they’re coming from here,’ and nothing happens. Because they want to teach you that you used the wrong weapon. The weapon for the believer in this training is their madad. As soon as they felt a sense of fear, how come they didn’t immediately enter into their madad? In which they would feel the presence of the shaykhs appear, and then that difficulty left.
They were symbolically thinking that the protection lies within their own strength, but it is “Laa hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil ‘Aliyyil ‘Azheem.”
“And there is no Support/strength, nor power except by Allah, The Sublimely Exalted, The Magnificent.”
There is no hawla (support) and quwwah (power) – there is no help, and there is no power except in the hand of Prophet ﷺ coming from Allah (AJ) ‘Azim (Magnificent). Because Allah’s (AJ) “La ilaha illAllah” with whatever name you want to call from all the names of Allah (AJ) beatific names is all in “La ilaha illAllah.” That never will reach to you except through “Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ.”
So when we want that power, we want that help, well then our hand has to be upon “Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ.” Well, how? Was with my shaykh. That I have a firm grip with my shaykh, I’m connected, I feel the connection, I continuously train, continuously train. They’ll start training you at night because full battle is very frightening for people. But they can make an entire scenario through your dream state. They can take you years into battle through dreams, but one after night, every night, they take you somewhere else. Every night you’re going somewhere else, fighting a different way and a different thing because this life itself is a dream. So which one is real? For all you know, you could be living all of this, but it was a blink of an eye, and your existence actually may be somewhere else.
So this existence of ours is something not understood. But when the believer believes and begins to prepare, then Allah (AJ) will begin their training. They begin to train and understand then why this dream is coming like this. It has a meaning for that. That you have to be under the madad and understanding the madad, how to make the madad, and then you begin to fight with madad. In which you enter into an environment and immediately you enter into the madad, and your soul is moving. It is not from anything you understood, nor anything that you trained. Because it is not something physical. What your soul knows and what has been downloaded, “Allamal Qur’an, Allamal Qur’an. Khalaqal Insaan.”
عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ ﴿٢﴾ خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ ﴿٣﴾
55:2-3 – “Allamal Qur’an (2). Khalaqal Insaan (3).” (Surat Ar Rahman)
”It is He Who has taught the Qur’an. (2) He has created Mankind. (3)” (The Beneficent, 55: 2-3)
Allah (AJ) already taught everything to your soul, then created your physicality. So we don’t have to go train physical; we train spiritual. Then you’ll be astonished the spiritual knows so much more than these people of physical. They’re going the reverse way.
Question 3: Sayyidi, will dajjal (man of deceit) turn majority into zombies? Is this why we have to stay indoors to hide?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: Oh, I don’t know. That you watch too many movies. But yes, the dajjal, many, many, many of his jinn (unseen beings) minions, they want to eat people and horrific violence. Horrific crimes in which the hair of a 5-year-old child will turn white from fear.
So, it is not something easy that’s coming, and it requires to not to be yourself. That you have to have the power of your soul to dress you. The self and the physicality can’t handle, can’t understand what these creatures are capable of and what their difficulty is and what they’re going to inflict upon people.
So, this is a necessary reality that we have to connect with the soul and with the heavens so that the sakinah, tranquility comes upon us during fear. How is it going to come? It is through the madad and the connection. Because you made a connection to the heavens for every type of reality now to be sent down – like a pipeline. Soon as you make the madad, this is a pipeline for knowledges, this becomes a pipeline for energy, this is pipeline for even just your nafas and your breath so that you can breathe from the reality of your soul. So, this is an essential connection that has to be made, inshaAllah.
Question 4: Can we give charity to our neighbors who is in need but there we can’t give it by wearing the outfit and how can we promote the organization?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: Yeah, different issues. If you want to do charity, you do charity and promote the organization. If you know that a neighbor is hungry and you want to help, you can help. The problem when people do things in their own hand is that if you give people something, they begin to depend upon it. So it is not like you give them five times and you stop; they’re going to be at your front door and say, ‘What happened? You were supposed to help me,’ and it became now an obligation.
So that’s why through the organization [Muslim Charity – Fatima Zahra Helping Hand], you know, it is easier. That go out, give some food, put the shirts on, and go out to different places. Even in the groceries we’re asking our people not to target specific families all the time. Because then they just will rely on every month, ‘You’re supposed to give me groceries.’ So they’re going to the different homes and then keep changing to different locations. Because that will be very difficult if you’re now obligated always to be at one place. So, that’s something people have to be concerned about. If you’re planning on giving actual money to somebody, then they’re going to feel that you have to give it all the time. If it was just a one-time gift, that’s something. But if you give food, clothing, and different items and you give them to different people. It is probably safer so that you don’t have a difficult situation, inshaAllah.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Ila sharifin Nabi (SallAllahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam) wa ila aalihi wa sahbihil kiram, wa ila mashayikhina fit tariqatin Naqshbandiyatil ‘aaliyah, wa sayiri sadatina wa Siddiqin. Al Fatiha. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa ﷺ wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
