In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

O You who have believed, Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you. (The Women, 4:59)
And that always first to remind myself, “La ilaha illa anta Subhanaka, innee kuntu minazh zhalimeen.”
21:87 – “… la ilaha illa anta Subhanaka, innee kuntu minazh zhalimeen.” (Surat Al-Anbiya)
“…“There is no god/diety except You; Glory to you: Indeed I have been of the wrongdoers/Oppressor to Myself!” (The Prophets, 21:87)
Ascension of Prophet ﷺ to Divinely Presence Achieves the State of Nearness
Ana abdukal ‘ajeezu, dayeefu, miskinu, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the Grace of Allah (AJ) I’m still in existence. That we took a path in which to be nothing and continuously remind ourselves in that nothingness as the world tries to make us into something and give us an identity. And our responsibility is to break that identity, break the illusion to move towards the haqqaiq and the reality. And alhamdulillah it is a holy night of Isra wal Mi’raj, of the Ascension of Prophet ﷺ to Divinely Presence and with physicality moving through space and time directly into the Divinely Presence achieving the state of nearness of “Qaaba qawsayni aw adna.”
53:9 – “Fakana qaaba qawsayni aw adna.” (Surat An-Najm)
“And was at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer [to the Divine Presence].” (The Star, 53:9)
InshaAllah, we will play… do you want to recite the first verse of Surat Al-Isra.
17:1 – “Subhaanal lazeee asraa bi’abdihee lailam minal Masjidil Haraami ilal Masjidil Aqsal-lazee baaraknaa haw lahoo linuriyahoo min aayaatinaa;innahoo Huwas Samee’ul-Baseer.” (Surat Al-Isra)
“Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al- Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing.” (The Night Journey, 17:1)
Isra Wal Mi’raj Shows Allah’s (AJ) Immense Honour for Prophet ﷺ
That, ‘Glory be to Allah (AJ) that raised His servant into His Divinely Presence,’ and moving from Makkah all the way to Jerusalem is the Isra, from Jerusalem up through Jacob’s ladder into the Heavens. It means many different, amazing realities based on Isra wal Mi’raj. So many blessings and unimaginable ta’zim (honouring), unimaginable Majestic love that Allah (AJ) to show for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. And alhamdulillah that awliyaullah (saints) come into our lives and to teach that, “Wa maa arsalnaka illa Rahmatal lil’alameen.”
21:107 – “Wa maa arsalnaka illa Rahmatal lil’alameen.” (Surat Al-Anbiya)
“And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad (pbuh)], except as a mercy to the worlds/creation.” (The Prophets, 21:107)
When Allah (AJ) is describing all these realities for us to understand the greatness of the Divinely Presence and the greatness of the love the Divinely Presence has for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. So we hear the realities of Isra wal Mi’raj. And all of the realities of Islam, all the realities of Holy Qur’an is to show the greatness of Allah (AJ), Allahu Akbar. That nothing can even come close and Ta’zim un Nabi ﷺ (honouring the Prophet ﷺ) and how much Allah (AJ) loves and respects and honours Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and, ‘O you who believe, praise and pray upon him (as) too.’
Creation is Given Its Honour By The Light of Prophet ﷺ
So our life is to seek Allah’s (AJ) rida and satisfaction, and Allah (AJ) then informs, ‘Then respect My beloved Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.’ So our whole life is about achieving that. And awliyaullah come into our life and teach us the haqqaiqs (realities) of, “Wa maa arsalnaka illa Rahmatal lil’alameen,” (Holy Qur’an, 21:107). That is immense ocean of realities. That Allah (AJ), “Wa laqad karramna bani adam,” that your Creation is a noble Creation; not for the sake of Sayyidina Adam (as) but that it is the carrier of the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
17:70 – “Wa laqad karramna bani adama…” (Surat Al-Isra)
“And We have certainly honored the children of Adam…” (The Night Journey, 17:70)
That what I gave of a reality of knowledges of secrets of nurul anwar wa sirratal asrar (light of every secret and secret of every light). That even the angels were astonished because they only understood the physicality that, ‘Ya Rabbi, why are You making this Adam to be Your Khalifa (representative) and not us who glorify You and praise upon You?’
2:30 – “Wa idh qala rabbuka lil Malayikati innee ja’ilun fil ardi khaleefatan, qaloo ataj’alu feeha man yufsidu feeha wa yasfikud dima a wa nahnu nusabbihu bihamdika wa nuqaddisu laka, Qala innee a’lamu ma la ta’lamon.” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, ‘Indeed, I will make upon the earth a Deputy/Representative. They [angels] said, ‘Will You place upon it one who causes corruption/mischief therein and shed blood, while we praise and glorify You?’ Allah said, Indeed, I know that which you do not know.” (The Cow, 2:30)
There is No Sound In Heavens, Only Magnificent Light And Energy
Again, the level of their yaqeen (certainty) was not complete and they took their teaching from shaitan (satan) and as a result they were dressed with a bad characteristic, not understanding the greatness of that light. And then when Allah (AJ) showed that light, “Wa ‘allama asma a kullaha.”
2:31 – “Wa ‘allama Adamal Asma a kullaha…” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“And He taught Adam the names – all of them…” (The Cow, 2:31)
As soon as Sayyidina Adam (as) spoke, he spoke in that realm of malakut (heavens). When they speak it is all energy and light, there is no sound. There is no sound for us to hear. It is not fee kalam. It is from the nur (light) that making a sound and emission of light that malaika (angels) saw this light they understood this is from Divinely Presence; this is from a pardeh and hijab (veil) that they don’t have access to.
Immediately they were ordered into sujood (prostration), they made the sujood even without the order. They understood that this light is a magnificent light. And for ihtiram and respect they made their sujood except shaitan who from arrogance and jealousy couldn’t see the miracle of that light, with all his love supposedly for Allah (AJ). It means this is Ta’zim un Nabi ﷺ what Allah (AJ) dressed and blessed that reality.
The Heart of Divinely Presence is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
It means then, that Divinely Heart that we are all trying to seek, Allah (AJ) giving as a rahmah (mercy) that, ‘You want to reach? Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allaha fattabi’oni, yuhbibkumullah.’
3:31 – “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allaha fattabi’oni, yuhbibkumullahu…” (Surat Ali-Imran)
“Say, [O Muhammad], “If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you …” (Family of Imran, 3:31)
It is an ocean, they can go over it in many different directions. It is the whole way of the turuqs (spiritual paths) and the people of muhabbat (love). They are trying to reach the heart. Then Allah (AJ) gives us a hint, ‘This heart of Mine is where Holy Qur’an is emitting.’ The Holy Qur’an and qudra and the power of Divinely Powers is emitting from that source. Then look to Holy Qur’an and the heart of Holy Qur’an is Surah Yaseen ﷺ. So then awliya come and say then, ‘The heart of Divinely Presence is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, from the soul of Prophet ﷺ is the emission of Holy Qur’an, ancient.‘ Hadith al-Jabir that, ‘What was the first thing that Allah (AJ) Created? The light of your Prophet ﷺ.’
“Qala Rasulullah ﷺ, “Awwalu ma khalaqAllahu nuri Nabyika, Ya Jabir.”
“The first thing that Allah created was your prophet’s light (referring to himself (pbuh)) O Jabir.”
There is No Partner With Allah (AJ) – Go to Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ
It means that Nurul Muhammadi ﷺ (Light of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) is the light of all creation. All malaika are from the light of Prophet ﷺ. Baitul Mamur from the light of Prophet ﷺ. All the heavens and paradises in their infinite are from the light of Muhammadun Rasulullah ﷺ. You can’t say from La ilaha illAllah, it’ll be shirk (polytheism). Allah (AJ), ‘La ilaha illAllah – means don’t look to Me, there is no partner with Me, I am the power of that creation and all of it is in the ocean of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ.’
“La ilaha illAllahu Muhammadun Rasulallah.”
“There is no deity but Allah, Prophet Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.”
So when we want to reach to Divinely Presence the awliya come and say, ‘This is now a rope,’ when Allah (AJ) is saying, ‘Hold tight to the rope.’
(Surat Ali-Imran)
“And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not separate…” (Family of Imran, 3:103)
Our Mi’raj is into the Heart of Prophet ﷺ
So think of it like three hearts. The Divinely Heart – inside that Divinely Heart is the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It means now it comes closer to you because we are going to explain in Salatul Tahajjud (late night prayer) because Surah al-Isra, Allah (AJ) is giving us a formula for our mi’raj (ascension). If anyone thinks they are going to make the Mi’raj of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ then you have a deficit in your ego thinking that you are now parallel and you are the same as Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
To be humble and say, ‘Ya Rabbi, there’s no mi’raj for us as the Mi’raj of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is Wahid (The Unique One).’ That love, that reality is only one for Prophet ﷺ, our mi’raj and our way towards that reality is a mi’raj into the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. So Divinely Heart we want to reach, Allah (AJ) brings that Divinely Heart into the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. So it means now is the target in our life to reach the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It is also the station of iman (faith) where Prophet ﷺ described, ‘You have to love me.’ Where do you love? You love the head or love resides within the heart? And Allah (AJ) – many hadith in every direction, “Qalb al mu’min Baitullah.”
Qala Rasulullahi ﷺ, “La yuminu ahadukum hatta akona ahabba ilayhi min walidihi wa waladihi wan Nasi ajma’yeen.”
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind.”
And
“Qalb al mu’min baytur rabb.”
“The heart of the believer is the House of the Lord.” (Hadith Qudsi)
Reach to Prophet ﷺ By Following the True Ulul Amr
You are asking for Baitullah (House of Allah (AJ)). Allah (AJ) says, ‘This is the qalb (heart) of My mu’min (believer). Only mu’min for Allah (AJ) is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. ‘I am not on Heaven and I’m not on Earth but I am on the heart of My believer.’
“Maa wasi`anee laa Samayee, wa la ardee, laakin wasi’anee qalbi ‘Abdee al Mu’min.”
”Neither My Heavens nor My Earth can contain Me, but the heart of my Believing Servant.” (Hadith Qudsi conveyed by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh))
Only believer for Allah (AJ) is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Everything else is an imitation of that reality. So this Qalb al-Muhammadiyya ﷺ, to reach towards it, it comes now to “Ulul amre minkum.”
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat An-Nisa)
“… Obey Allah, Obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
The ulul amr (saints), the real ulul amr, not external scholars but internal external. That they have been dressed from that reality, dressed from that muhabbat, that they are the walking “Feekum.” When Allah (AJ) says that, ‘Prophet ﷺ is amongst you,’ nurul anwar wa sirratal asrar.
2:151 – “Kama arsalna feekum Rasulam minkum yatlo ‘Alaykum ayatina…” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“Just as We have sent among (within) you a messenger of your own, reciting to you Our Signs, …” (The Cow, 2:151)
Awliyaullah Carry Nurul Muhammadi ﷺ
When you make your tafakkur, when you make your contemplation, when you make your submission, “La ilaha illa anta Subhanaka, innee kuntu minazh zhalimeen.”
Then Allah (AJ) agrees that, ‘You are zalim (oppressor) and throw your light out! That light of yours is worth nothing. Let Me replace it with Nurul Muhammadi ﷺ.’ Awliyaullah are nurul anwar wa sirratal asrar. They carry the light of Prophet ﷺ. They extinguished their light, their bad characteristics to be nothing. If you are nothing, Allah (AJ) fill you with something of value and the only thing of value for Allah (AJ) is the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. So they are walking lights of Prophet ﷺ. So then become – “Ulil amre minkum,” (Holy Qur’an, 4:59).
You Must Be from the Followers to Achieve Allah’s Love
So, on this Earth there are always 124,000 awliyaullah and their wilayat (sainthood). The reason they are called awliyaullah is because they carried the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. And all those realities of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, those lights upon their soul make them to be loved, because they carry the waw. A wali (saint) means he carries the waw of Allah (AJ) because it is the ayat (verse), “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allaha fattabi’oni.”
They were from the tabi’een (followers). They entered the oceans of itiba’ (following). They went under their testing, they went under their schools of obedience, they crushed and crushed and crushed until the light began to fill into them, from what? “Yuhbibkumullah.”
Allah (AJ) says, ‘Now I am going to love you.’ I love with what? Love you with the light of Allah (AJ)? La sharik (no partner)! ‘I am going to love you with My Most Beloved.’ It means the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ begin to dress that servant and that’s why Prophet ﷺ describes, ‘You will be with whom you love. If you truly love me and you love me more than yourself you already became now from Maqamul Iman (station of faith).’
Qala Rasulullah ﷺ, “Almar o, ma’a man ahab.”
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “One is with those whom he loves.”
Faith is An Experience, Not A Statement
And we said it’s a nurul iman (light of faith), it’s an experience. It is not you call yourself that you have iman. Allah (AJ) clarifies in Holy Qur’an, ‘No, no, no, don’t go around saying you have iman! You merely have Islam.’ The Arabi came to Prophet ﷺ, ‘I believe!’ Says, ‘No, you don’t believe. You merely accepted Islam.’
49:14 – “Qaalatil-A ‘raabu aamannaa qul lam tu’minoo wa laakin qoolooo aslamnaa wa lamma yadkhulil eemaanu fee quloobikum wa in tutee’ul laaha wa Rasoolahoo laa yalitkum min a’maalikum shai’aa; innal laaha Ghafoorur Raheem” (Surat Al-Hujurat)
The desert Arabs say, “We believe.” Say, “Ye have no faith; but ye (only) say, ‘We have submitted our wills to Allah,’ For not yet has Faith entered your hearts. But if ye obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not belittle aught of your deeds: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
Belief is an event. You will know that event when that light hits your heart, and Allah (AJ) show you many things through your heart of a light that now entered into your heart. Now you reached iman and your love for Prophet ﷺ is more than your love for yourself. You are now “Fattabi’oni,” because of the love of Prophet ﷺ. They sacrificed themselves for the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. So means they are in continuous mi’raj of the lights of Prophet ﷺ is dressing upon them. So it is like a door, like a heart.
When you enter into their associations where did you enter? When they are explaining all these realities that they exist in the heart of Prophet ﷺ, they walk on creation with the lights of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That is why many times before they would say, ‘You are a qibla (direction of prayer) and a Ka’bah,’ because the Ka’bah is not something to be worshipped. You don’t worship the Ka’bah in Makkah either. You worship only Allah (AJ). The Ka’bah is a symbol of the Lights of Allah (AJ), the lights of Prophet ﷺ.
Awliyullah are Walking Ka’bah and Qibla
Allah (AJ) described, ‘Where am I? I am with Nabiyeen (Prophets), Siddiqeen (truthful), Shuhada (witnesses) wa Saliheen (righteous).’ These are the four corners, they walk with that light. Allah (AJ) says: ‘I am with them, this is the best of company.’
4:69 – “Wa man yuti’ Allaha war Rasola faolayeka ma’al ladheena an’ama Allahu ‘alayhim minan Nabiyeena, was Siddiqeena, wash Shuhadai, was Saliheena wa hasuna olayeka rafeeqan.” (Surat An-Nisa)
“And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger (pbuh) are in the company of those on whom Allah has bestowed His Favours/Blessings – of the prophets, the sincere Truthful, the witnesses to the truth (who testify), and the Righteous, and excellent are those as companions.” (The Women, 4:69)
So awliyaullah, they’re walking Ka’bah because they have those lights. And qibla, because people look at them and their faith is rejuvenated. But more, so that when you step into their association and you pray with them, eat with them, drink with them, pray with them, you are in the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
Allah’s (AJ) Rahmah is in “Qaaba Qawsayni Aw Adna”
Before you want to go and try to reach Allah (AJ), we said last night is many life times for you to do that. And Allah (AJ) doesn’t give but more than one life. Easiest way is to go to Prophet ﷺ. Prophet ﷺ is in the highest maqam (station), “Sidratel Muntaha, wa qaaba qawsayni aw adna.”
53:14 – “Inda sidratel Muntaha.” (Surat An-Najm)
“At the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary.” (The Star, 53:14)
And
53:9 – “Fakana qaaba qawsayni aw adna.” (Surat An-Najm)
“And was at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer [to the Divine Presence].” (The Star, 53:9)
Why go through any other Prophet (as)? Why go through your own way? Allah (AJ) is saying, ‘I sent you a rahmah. That rahmah is in My qaaba qawsayni aw adna that, two bows length or nearer.’ The proximity unimaginable is actually written in la ilaha illallahu Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ, unbroken kalimah (words). And they begins to show that these are Two Rivers, La ilaha illallah Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. These are the two rivers that Nabi Musa (as) wanted, means to reach into that reality, to reach into that dress.
18:60 – “Wa idh qala Mosa lefatahu laa abrahu hatta ablugha majma’a albahrayni aw amdiya huquba.” (Surat Al-Kahf)
“Behold, Moses said to his attendant, I will not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas or (until) I spend years and years in travel.” (The Cave, 18:60)
The Associations of Awliya are in the Heart of Prophet ﷺ
Then awliyaullah teach that, ‘Come into the Isra wal Mir’aj, come into Laylatul Qadr (Night of Power).’ Merely step into the associations, you are stepping into the heart of Prophet ﷺ. That’s why the turuqs, everything is about good manners. Why? Because you are now, your light and your anwaar is in the presence of Prophet ﷺ, is in the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
They are walking Holy Qur’an realities, “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allaha fattabi’oni, yuhbibkumullahu,” (Holy Qur’an, 3:31). Allah (AJ) then says, ‘I forgive all your sins. I’ll forgive and wash away everything,’ and they are walking love of Allah (AJ). Allah (AJ) love them and they love Allah (AJ). And Allah’s (AJ) reward for them is what? The love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. They carry the lights of Prophet ﷺ.
The Secret of Mi’raj is Found in Salatul Tahajjud
So now Allah (AJ) is describing for us in Surah Al-Isra that for the believers how are they to reach their mi`raj? And it’s verse 79 and 80 of Surah Al-Isra.
17:79-80 – “Wa minal laili fatahajjad bihee naafilatal laka ‘asaaa any yab’asaka Rabbuka Maqaamam Mahmoodaa. (79) Wa qur Rabbi adkhilnee mudkhala sidqinw wa akhrijnee mukhraja sidqinw waj’al lee milladunka sultaanan naseeraa.” (Surah Al-Isra)
“And pray in the small watches of the morning: (it would be) an additional prayer (or spiritual profit) for thee: soon will thy Lord raise thee to a Station of Praise and Glory! (79). Say: “O my Lord! Let my entry be by the Gate of Truth and Honour, and likewise my exit by the Gate of Truth and Honour; and grant me from Thy Presence an authority to aid (me).” (The Night Journey, 17:79-80)
So then Allah (AJ) giving for us in Surah Al-Isra, the same surah of Isra wal Mi’raj, that come to Salatul Tahajjud! Come to your Salatul Tahajjud! That not the fard (obligatory) of your Fajr but these are the people of nawafil (voluntary prayer), these are the people of muhabbat. Because of the Hadith of Prophet ﷺ, Hadith Qudsi, ‘They did their fard, but they come to Me with their voluntary worship, I become the hearing in with which they hear, the eyes in which they see, the breath in which they breathe, the tongue in which they speak, the hand in which they touch, the feet in which they move. So much so they become Rabbaniyoon (Lordly souls) and Kun faya koon.’ Because their will matches the Will of Allah (AJ), matches the will of Prophet ﷺ, matches the will of ulul amr.
“…, wa la yazaalu ‘Abdi yataqarrabu ilayya bin nawafile hatta ahebahu, fa idha ahbabtuhu kunta Sam’ahul ladhi yasma’u behi, wa Basarahul ladhi yubsiru behi, wa Yadahul lati yabTeshu beha, wa Rejlahul lati yamshi beha, wa la in sa alani la a’Teyannahu, …”
“…My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary acts of worship so that I shall love him. When I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him…” Hadith Qudsi (Sahih al-Bukhari, 81:38:2)
Reach the Realities of Maqam al-Mahmood Through Voluntary Worship
It mean all that reality Allah (AJ) is then now describing for the believers, ‘Come to your Salatul Tahajjud,’ it is a voluntary worshipness and through your Salatul Tahajjud you are going to reach Maqam al-Mahmood.
17:79 – “Wa minal layli fatahajjad bihi, nafilatal laka ‘asaa an yab’athaka Rabbuka Maqaman Mahmooda.” (Surat Al-Isra)
“And pray in the small watches of the morning: (it would be) an additional prayer (or spiritual profit) for thee: soon will your Lord raise you to a Station of Praise and Glory! [Maqam al Mahmood]” (The Night Journey, 17:79)
Who is Maqam al-Mahmood, what is Maqam al-Mahmood? It is Sayyidina Mahmood ﷺ. Sayyidina Mahmood (as) is the reality of Prophet ﷺ. When Allah (AJ) – we’re not going to meet Allah (AJ) – we are not mujassamiyoon where we make Allah (AJ) into a form, that’s a different mazhab (school of Islamic Law).
Allah (AJ), “la sharik (no partner), la shabeeh,” nothing like unto Allah (AJ). Allah (AJ) says, ‘I am going to raise for you a reality, I am going to allow you to come closer to the presence of Sayyidina Mahmood ﷺ.’ On dunya (material world) – Nabi Muhammad ﷺ, in the heavenly malakut – Sayyidina Mahmood (as), and higher Nabi Ahmad (as), many names of Prophet ﷺ. These are all the darajah (spiritual rank) and realities of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
What is the Secret of Maqam al-Mahmood?
So Allah’s (AJ) describing in verse 79 of Surah Al-Isra that for the believers their mi’raj is Salatul Tahajjud. That, ‘Come in Salatul Tahajjud I am going to open for you Maqam al-Mahmooda.’ And then what Maqam al-Mahmooda? Then verse 80 is a description of Maqam al-Mahmood. Say, ‘O Lord, let me to enter by the gate of the Siddiq (truthful) and honour. Likewise, let my exit be from the gate of the Siddiq of honour and grant me from thy presence, Sultanan Naseera (Victorious King). A sultan (king), authorized sultan, from Your Divinely Presence to aid me and support me.’ Then they changed the words but it’s ‘Sultan.’
17:80 – “Wa qul Rabbi adkhelni mudkhala Sidqin wa akhrejni mukhraja Sidqin waj’al li min ladunka Sultanan NaSeera.” (Surat Al-Isra)
“Say: O my Lord! Let my entry be by the Gate of Truth and Honour, and likewise my exit by the Gate of Truth and Honour; and grant me from Your Presence a Victorious King to aid (me).” (The Night Journey, 17:80)
Two Doors of Ka’bah Represent Sayyidina Imam Ali (as) and Sayyidina Abu Bakr (as)
Allah (AJ) is saying in Holy Qur’an that in your Salatul Tahajjud, when Maqam al-Mahmood is going to open for you, there are going to be two baabs, two doors for you. One door for the Siddiq entrance into the presence of that sultan. Prophet ﷺ is surrounded by his siddiqs – the Ashab an Nabi ﷺ (Holy Companions of Prophet ﷺ). Turuqs have two to reach that reality; one from Imam Ali (as) and one from Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as) and that’s why the Ka’bah has two doors with two hearts. What you read, Allah (AJ) gives you the sign. He is the programmer, He wrote it.
If you have any doubt and the house tells that you are circumambulating, do you see two doors with two hearts? Do you know that this is a door, this Ka’bah is a presentation and representation of the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ? ‘I am with Nabiyeen.’ 124,000 prophets (as) are at the Ka’bah. You are making tawwaf (circumambulation) around Sayyidina Ismail (as). If you have any doubt, Sayyidina Ismail (as) is right there. But ruhaniyat an Nabi ﷺ is there, 124,000 prophets (as) there, 124,000 Sahabi (Holy Companions of Prophet ﷺ) are there, 124,000 Ahlul Bayt (Holy family of Prophet ﷺ) there, 124,000 awliyaullah there.
The Reality of Lataif ul Qalb Takes You to the Presence of Sultanan Naseera ﷺ
These two doors are there and they’re teaching that now these two doors are going to teach you how to enter and how to leave your reality. To where? Into the presence and the Divinely Presence of the Heavens. Who is the sultan in that Presence? Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. When we’re asking support from Sultanan Naseera ﷺ – an authorized sultan in Divinely Presence – is the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
It means then giving for us Isra wal Mi’raj at all times is a dress from that reality and for lataif ul Qalb (subtle energy points of the heart) and the students that are studying with us Al-Lataif ul Qalb from the Qalb (heart), Sir (secret), Sirr e Sir (secret of the secret) and Khafa (hidden). That, ‘Ya Sayyidina Uthman (as), Jami’ul Qur’an (the compiler of Holy Qur’an), Sayyidina Umar al Farooq (as) – “Qul jaa alhaqq wa zahaqal baatil,” you struggle in your fights.‘ Sayyidina Umar (as) comes to teach, ‘Struggle against false and stand only for the truth.’
17:81 – “Wa qul jaa alhaqqu wa zahaqal baatil, innal batila kana zahoqa.” (Surat Al-Isra)
“And say, Truth has come, and falsehood has perished. Indeed falsehood, [by its nature], is ever perishing/bound to perish.” (The Night Journey, 17:81)
Sayyidina Uthman (as), Jami’ul Qur’an comes and teach, ‘I am going to give you realities and knowledges. I am the one who Allah (AJ) gave for me to compile Holy Qur’an.’ Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as) now comes from Sirr e Sir and Imam Ali (as) comes from the Khafa. And these are the two doors that Prophet’s ﷺ going to teach us on how to reach Sultanan Naseera ﷺ.
The Salaams of Prophet ﷺ are Dressing Those Observing Qiyamul Layl
And this only happens in Salatul Fajr. And for us the Salatul Fajr means you have to have the sunnah (traditions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) which is Salatul Tahajjud. We don’t wake just for Fajr, we do the whole awrad (daily practices) of Salatul Fajr and that’s what we gave the understanding from Surah Al-Qadr, “Salamun hiya matla’il Fajr.”
97:5 – “Salamun, hiya hatta matla’il Fajr.” (Surat Al-Qadr)
“Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.” (The Power, 97:5)
That “Salamun” is the sir of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ on the lisan (tongue) of the meem. This means that Allah’s (AJ) salaam (greeting) is a tanzil un Nabi ﷺ, is the lights of Prophet ﷺ coming and dressing the servant with all the lights and all the realities, all the realities of Holy Qur’an, all the realities of creation – what we call Haqqiqatul Muhammadiyah (the Muhammadan Reality).
That only comes when Allah (AJ), ‘You’re granted, Hiya hatta matla’il Fajr (Holy Qur’an, 97:5).‘ That all these salaams will come throughout your Fajr. So means all knowledge is being conveyed to awliyaullah at Salatul Fajr. And Allah (AJ) is giving us the formula for the mi’raj. ‘Don’t think you are coming up like Prophet ﷺ and that you are going to shooting like a rocket through the Heavens.’ You merely step into their association, whatever Prophet ﷺ wants to dress from his soul is raining upon everybody who is present. And from that reality they are teaching that these two baab (door); that the gate which teaches you how to die, and the gate that teaches you how to resurrect, are the two qualities of these Sahabah (Holy Companion of Prophet ﷺ) from their secret.
Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as) Teaches You to Die From Desires Before Death
So when they said that Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as), if you want to see somebody who died before he died, look to Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as), mawt qablil mawt (death of desires before physical death). So Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as) from that Maka’as Siddiq where Allah (AJ) says, ‘They enter into that Siddiq, into that Station of the Siddiq.‘ It means Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as) comes to teach us how to die. How to die from your desires. That, don’t become from the people who are living from Ahle hayat of dunya. Be from Ahle hayat of Akhirah! That all these tastes and all these desires they will die within you.
The angel is under his authority, Sayyidina Azrael (as), who is the angel of death. The angel serves the Companion (as), they are under the darajah of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That is why they made their sujood al-ihtiram (prostration of respect). So then begin to think, these are the souls made from the lights of Prophet ﷺ and their darajah beyond imagination. The darajah of insan (human being) is higher than the darajah of angels. They couldn’t understand the reality “Allamal Qur’an. Khalaqal Insaan.” It means, ‘I taught their knowledges to that reality, then I created the insan.’ The angel didn’t understand, they only ‘Subhana kallahumma Ya Rabbi, we know only what You taught us.’
55:2-3 – “Allamal Qur’an (2). Khalaqal Insaan (3).” (Surat Ar Rahman)
”It is He Who has taught the Qur’an. (2) He has created Mankind. (3)” (The Beneficent, 55: 2-3)
And
2:31-32 – “Wa ‘allama Adamal Asma a kullaha, thumma ‘aradahum ‘alal Malaikati faqala anbioonee bi asma i haola e in kuntum sadiqeen.(31) Qalo subhanaka la ‘ilma lana illa ma ‘allamtana, innaka antal ‘Aleemul Hakeem. (32)” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“And He taught Adam the names – all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, “Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful. (31) They said, “Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, the Wise.” (The Cow, 2:31-32)
Naqshbandiya tul ‘Aliya Inherits From Siddiqiya Secret
They didn’t understand, they made their mistakes but in this reality Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as) and that is why Naqshbandiya tul ‘Aliya, the turuqs come from the Siddiqiya (truthful) secret and teach their students that, ‘Don’t have the hayat of dunya but let all that desire to drop within your heart and then you become from mawt qablil mawt.’ Siddiqiya reality – they are death before death, means that they are not from the world of physicality but from the world of ruhaniyat (spirituality).
Imam Ali (as) Teaches the Secrets of Resurrection
Imam Ali (as) comes to teach you how to resurrect. So awliyaullah describe that when they came to kill Sayyidina Ali (as), it is impossible to kill Asadullah al-Ghalib (The Victorious Lion of Allah (AJ)) as you could not kill Sayyidina Khalid (as). Right? Saifullah. He was complaining, ‘How I’m Saifullah? I have a mark on every part of my body and I didn’t die.’ And they say, ‘How can you die when Allah (AJ) call you the Sword of Allah (AJ)? Can the Sword of Allah (AJ) be broken, can be killed?’ No! He died of old age.
But for Imam Ali (as) they said that they stabbed and poisoned him and they said, ‘Put me on my camel, hit the camel and I’m going.’ And they put the body upon the camel and left. And then a caravan came a while later and they said that, ‘We just put Amir al-Mu’mineen (Leader of the Believers) on this camel and he went, on the body.’ ‘Did you see the camel passing?‘ ‘Yeah, yeah he was riding and waving to us when passing the caravan [travellers replied].‘ And awliyaullah come and teach there is no maqam for Sayyidina Ali (as), they only have…what’s the one in Afghanistan? Mazaar. A mazaar, means they only have a witnessing, they have no body of Imam Ali (as) on this Earth. Awliyaullah say he is hidden behind Jabl e Qaaf (Mountain of Qaaf) to come in the Last Days for Sayyidina Mahdi (as).
But these are two big Sahabi; their responsibility is to teach the servant how to die, how to desires to die. ‘We gave everything in the way of love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Then I will take you to the hand of the one who gave his childhood, he lied in the bed to be killed for the hijrah (migration). He will teach you how to annihilate yourself and how to rise into that presence while you are living.’
Break Free From the Body’s Prison to Experience From the Soul
It means that awliyaullah, they have an ability for their soul to be free from their body. You are trapped within your body. Because of the body desire it becomes like a zindaan, becomes like a prison in which it traps. When the desires are destroyed and broken, the soul is free like a bird. Free to experience whatever Allah (AJ) wants that soul to experience, like having a powerful dream.
Why the dream is powerful? Because the nafs (ego) got out of the way. If your nafs is out of the way means you are feeling everything from your soul. They hear from their soul, they see from their soul, this is the Hadith. When Allah (AJ) say, ‘Come with voluntary worship I will be your hearing.’ What does that mean? It means, ‘I am going to activate your soul’s hearing from My Divinely Presence. I will be your seeing. I am going to give you seeing from your soul, from My Divinely Presence.’
It means that reality, they dress the servant, bless the servant. And then take them into the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, Sultanan Naseera ﷺ. InshaAllah, Allah (AJ) gives us the mi’raj of the believers into the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, to be dressed by realties, blessed by these realities. InshaAllah.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
