From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi.
A’udhu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the rejected one
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
There is a Knower Above Every Knower
Reminder always for myself that, when teaching these realities, many people may not have a patience to understand them. Natural instinct is to come against. What Allah (AJ) gave of adab (manners) in Holy Qur’an, when Sayyidina Khidr (as) was dealing with Nabi Musa (as). The height and station of Nabi Musa (as), means to whatever darajah (spiritual rank) someone is. Allah’s (AJ) servants are many and above everyone’s darajah there may be someone who knows more and they may not have any official title. So what Allah (AJ) was showing in Holy Qur’an in Surat al-Kahf, is that this person whom you may see as no one, may have a knowledge for Sayyidina Musa (as).
12:76 – “…Narfa’u darajatin man nashao, Wa fawqa kulli dhee ‘ilmin ‘aleem.” (Surat Yusuf)
“… We raise in degrees whom We will, and Above every knower there is a greater knower.” (Joseph, 12:76)
Sayyidina Khidr (as) is the 10th Shaykh of Naqshbandi Tariqah (Spiritual Path)
This is a Naqshandi shaykh – Sayyidna Khidr (as) in our shajarah, in the silsila (spiritual lineage) of Naqshbandiya and the 10th shaykh. So means that inheritance still runs in the tariqah. The tariqah must have always 7007 of 124,000 awliya (saints) on earth, 7007 are Naqshbandi. They’re under the tarbiyah (discipline) of Mawlana Shah Naqshband (Q). That each one is dressed with 12,000 different realities. In dunya (material world) maybe one of those realities may show from those ‘uloom and knowledges. So Naqshbandiya has a tremendous wealth.
True Knowledge Shatters the Falsehood
Those knowledges are meant not to attract people, because who listens listens, don’t listen, don’t listen. But meant as a food for the soul. A haqqaiq (realities) is like giving food for the body that when these – the truth will set you free. When a knowledge comes out, it hits. When it’s a truth and when it’s filled from lights it hits the soul and dispels and annihilates every falsehood. Because Allah (AJ) says that ‘falsehood is ever perishing.’
17:81 – “Wa qul jaa alhaqqu wa zahaqal baatil, innal batila kana zahoqa.” (Surat Al-Isra)
“And say, Truth has come, and falsehood has perished. Indeed falsehood, [by its nature], is ever perishing/bound to perish.” (The Night Journey, 17:81)
So imagine people are filled with falsehoods, for visualization, a truth like a light comes like a cannon ‘Hooo’ hit the chest and it shatters the falsehood and begin now to penetrate into the heart. That’s the reality that Allah (AJ), we were talking earlier today, ‘I’m just one.’ They saw a video which says that the guides, they guide from the soul. They say, ‘It’s ‘ajeeb (strange) we never heard things like this. What are you talking about, you guide from the soul? Where is it in Qur’an and hadith?’ All their teachings are Qur’an and hadith of Prophet ﷺ. But you’re not reading the Qur’an the same way.
Guidance is Only From Allah (AJ)
So when Allah (AJ) says that, ‘Guidance is only from Allah (AJ),’ what we say for the Jum’ah (Friday prayer), “Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillahil Ladhi hadana li hadha wa maa kuna le nahtade lawla an hadanAllah,” That ‘Alhamdulilah that we came to these immense blessings and that guidance is only from Allah (AJ) and there is no guidance except from Allah (AJ).’
7:43 – “…wa qalo Alhamdulillahi al ladhee hadana lihadha wa ma kunna linahtadiya lawla an hadana Allahu…” (Surat Al-A’raf)
“… And they will say, Praise be to Allah, who has guided us to this [joy and happiness]; and we would never have been guided if Allah had not guided us…” (The Heights, 7:43)
All throughout Qur’an when Allah (AJ) is describing, ‘Guidance, guidance, guidance,’ this is Qur’an, what is Allah (AJ) guiding? What is Allah (AJ) guide? When Allah (AJ) say, ‘We don’t look to dunya for the weight of a mosquito wing,’ we’ll set up your legal case.
ʿAn Sahl ibn Saʿd (ra) qala: qala RasuluAllahi ﷺ: “Law kanatid dunya taʿdilu ʿinda Allahi janaha baʿudatin ma saqa kafiran minha sharbata mayin” [Jami` al-Tirmidhi 2320, Kitab 36, Hadith 17]
Sahl ibn Sa’d (ra) reported: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “If the world were as worthy to Allah as the wing of a mosquito, an unbeliever would not even be given a sip of water.” [Jami` al-Tirmidhi 2320, Book 36, Hadith 17]
So Allah (AJ) doesn’t care for anything of creation like the wing of a mosquito maybe stressing even the wing of a mosquito is much more intense to create. That Allah (AJ) doesn’t look to the surah to the form of insan (mankind). So hadith of Nabi ﷺ also always describes how Allah (AJ) doesn’t look to the face doesn’t look to your form.
‘An Abi Hurairah ‘Abdir Rahman bin Sakhar (ra) qala: qala Rasulullahi (saws): “Inna Allaha la yanzuru ila ajsamikum, wa la ila suwarikum, wa laaken yanzuru ila Quloobukum.” [Rawahu Muslim]
Abu Hurairah (ra) narrated that: Messenger of Allah (saws) said: “Allah does not look at your body/figures, nor at your appearance/frame but He looks at your hearts.” [Recorded in Muslim]
Guidance is for the Soul, Not the Body
That Allah’s (AJ) caring is for that which is eternal and Allah (AJ) doesn’t care for that which parishes – the rotten tomato is not where you put your focus! That which is eternal is the light, that which is eternal is the soul. So Allah’s (AJ) guidance is to the soul. When Allah (AJ) says, ‘There is no guidance except through Allah (AJ),’ (Quran 7:43) He’s saying, ‘Because this is My domain!’ You can call all the donkeys you want; because the physicality is like a donkey some trained, more stubborn. You can call all the donkeys you want, line them up, sit, yell at them everything you think you know about Islam or whatever, they’re not gonna listen.
It’s Not Who You Want to Guide but Whom Allah (AJ) Guides
The guidance isn’t in your hands. Because Allah’s (AJ) teaching was, ‘It’s not who you guide but whom We guide!’ This was always taught by Allah (AJ) to all the prophets (as), it’s the sunnah (tradition) of the prophets (as), ‘It’s not who you want that comes into this religion but whom Allah (AJ) wants.’ Why? Because stressing and teaching, ‘Guidance is from the soul!’ Malakut (heavenly realm) is “kulli shay” – all power is in malakut and the light.
36:83 – “Fasubhanal ladhee biyadihi Malakotu kulli shay in wa ilayhi turja’oon.” (Surat YaSeen)
“Therefore Glory be to Him in Whose hand is the dominion/ kingdom over everything in heavens, and to Him you will be returned.” (YaSeen, 36:83)
If Allah (AJ) doesn’t give isharah (sign) to the light of that person. That a command from Allah (AJ) has to come, your soul will be guided. It was written on the day of promises, your exact darajah was written. You can’t go no higher but you can be pushed and tried to go lower but Allah (AJ) will clean you, cleanse you, give you hardship until you reach it through hardship. You can go beatifically to your station by doing your ‘ibadah (worship) and your work. Or the reality of hardship is – you get beaten by this world in such an intense way you will achieve that maqam (station). But either way you achieve the maqam.
Guidance is an Energy that Comes to the Soul
But it’s not the physicality where you drag somebody along, you force them to sit in your association, you give them $5 and then now you say I’m guiding people. Allah (AJ) has to give guidance to the soul; isharah comes to the soul. The soul gets an energy and Allah’s (AJ) power resides within the heart. It means that isharah comes onto the soul and the signal begins to enter into the heart of that servant. As a result that servant is now coming towards where Allah (AJ) wants them to come. That’s called magnetism. We described in another talks Allah (AJ) has to send a signal into the heart and that signal will be magnetically inclined to whatever Allah (AJ) wants it to be. When Allah (AJ) make that heart to be guided it’s inclined towards Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. As a result finds itself coming towards Islam.
We Want the Holy Gaze of Prophet ﷺ and Awliyaullah (Saints)
So of course guidance is through the soul. It’s not the rounding up of the bodies and then talking to them in a way that you’re going to appease their bodies. But Allah (AJ) taught them early in their lives, this is from the world of light. When these shaykhs have been trained through tarbiyah, through energies, through realities. They didn’t just make salah (daily prayer) but, Allah (AJ) taught them the reality of their salah with their soul, with their energy, with all of this faiz (downpouring emanation) that’s addressing them.
That when they operate from their soul every word under their permission is a faiz and a light that’s coming. Why do we want the faiz of shaykhs under their nazar (gaze)? That’s why we want the faiz of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ above all. We don’t ask Prophet ﷺ to listen to us, but unzur halana (gaze upon my condition). It is that, ‘Put your blessed nazar upon me. That the light come from your soul onto my soul and bring this love and ‘ishq (love) like a magnet and draw me to your presence.’
2:104 – “Yaa ayyuhal ladheena aamano, laa taqolo ra’yina wa qolu unzurna wasma’o…” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“O you who believe! Do not say (to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)) ra’yena, listen to us, and say Unzurna (gaze upon us) and you listen (to him (pbuh)…” (The Cow, 2:104)
Don’t Give Credit to Yourself for Good Deeds
In Tazkiratul Awliya (Biographies of the Saints), Sayyidina Abu Yazid al-Bistami (Q) was astonished in his love for Allah (AJ), ‘I loved You I loved You I loved You!’ Until a day in which he reached, ‘And I found that Your love is more ancient than mine. I’ve been called here.’ Didn’t give the credit to himself that he achieved something, and that he approached, and that he prayed, and then he worshipped. You don’t give credit to the donkey and the body. That’s why when they speak for malakut, it’s not an arrogance they’re talking about things so big. No, no, actually it’s a reality. It’s a humble reality. That you didn’t pray, you didn’t pray because you were clever to pray. For if Allah (AJ) doesn’t guide you, you will not make your sujood (prostration) tomorrow.
Allah (AJ) Gives us Permission & Power to Pray – ‘Hawla (Support) wa Quwwah (Power)’
That’s why when you hear the azaan (call to prayer), you say “La hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil ‘Aliyyul ‘Azim,” understand?
“And there is no Support/strength, nor power except by Allah, The Sublimely Exalted, The Magnificent.”
When the azaan is going off, ‘I can’t either come to prayer, nor success without Your Hawla and Your Quwwah’ So I’m telling my soul, I cannot come to any success. Success for Allah (AJ) is paradise. Hawla and quwwah – and, ‘I can come to no power, I have no authority of myself Ya Rabbi, unless You free the demons that hold me and call me to my salah.’ That’s why when the azaan is going off, we’re saying “La hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil ‘Aliyyul ‘Azim.” ‘I have no action in myself I claim nothing from myself Ya Rabbi, grant me the madad grant me that support. Grant me a power and I’m able to come to my salah.’
The Real Guides Bring You Back to Your Paradise Reality
So everything is from world of malakut. Those whom are guiding back, not guides of the world, they’re guiding of the people who bring you back to paradise, back to your paradise realities; they’re are from that. When they talk, they talk with an energy and with an authority. That energy enters as a truth to every falsehood, shatters its falsehood and like arrows began to enter into that insan. They say, they listen they hear and they feel things are opening and darknesses are dispelling.
Allah (AJ) Allowed Humans to Create Technology to Better Understand Themselves
When we talked today earlier one of the brothers were saying, ‘It’s very much in computers.’ After the zikr (Divine Remembrance) we’ll talk about computers and why you have to make your daily award (daily practices). The understanding from computers; do you think the hardware, hardware is important or the software? So when we say guidance comes from the soul, in technology Allah (AJ) gave us technology to know ourselves. When mankind made a computer they were trying to create an insan; they put a head they put a guts they put everything. They were trying to replicate what Allah (AJ) makes. That’s why they make technology, because they want to make something. They want to have credit for something. Allah (AJ) allows them, ‘Make the computer! Because if you study it you should find more about yourself.’
Without Software Even the Most Expensive Phone is Useless
So the hardware that you have although it’s nice and it’s fancy, it really makes no difference unless the software is in it. When Allah (AJ) sends to the software this phone has guidance and works. You can have the best phone on earth but, you didn’t get a software update or download, nothing is of any value to you. Why? “Malakut kulli shay”
Without Allah’s (AJ) Permission, We can’t Pray or Fast
Allah (AJ) wants us to understand, ‘You cannot fast without My permission you cannot pray without My permission, you cannot be generous without My permission you can do nothing.’ That’s why on Jum’ah we’re saying that we came to this immense blessing that Allah (AJ) granted us an immense blessing that we’re able to make our sujood (prostration) inshaAllah. We make our prayers, we make our zikr, we make our fasting, we do all of this worshipness is a gift from Allah (AJ).
Only Those Allah (AJ) Permits will Listen – You can’t Force Anyone
Because when you do dawah (religious propagation) you understand when somebody decides they’re going to turn away from Islam, as if Allah (AJ) has cut that faiz from them. They don’t wanna pray, they don’t wanna do fasting, and they don’t wanna do anything. You can’t shake them to do it, you can’t yell at them to do it. Because Allah’s (AJ) reminding that “hadanAllah” (Quran 7:43) – ‘It’s Me who determines who’s going to pray. It’s Me who determines who’s even going to mention My name in their home.’
Be Thankful to Allah (AJ) that He Allows Us to Do Good
In Surah an-Noor Allah (AJ) said, ‘They have permission from Me to mention My name.’
24:36 – “Fee buyotin adhina Allahu an turfa’a wa yudhkara feeha ismuhu yusabbihu lahu feeha bilghuduwwi wal asal.” (Surat An-Nur)
“(Lit is such a Light) in houses, which Allah has permitted to be raised to honour; and that His name be mentioned therein: In them He is glorified in the mornings and in the evenings, (again and again).” (The Light, 24:36)
When somebody says they don’t want to do zikr. Wrong! Allah (AJ) don’t want you to mention His name. You should be very scared and sad for that. Don’t put anything on to your own cleverness, that’s egoism. But if you talk from a light and you talk from a reality they say, ‘Oh he’s being arrogant showing himself.’ Oh I’m not talking; I’m donkey for these people. But Allah’s (AJ) ‘Azimah (Might) if you listen to it, it’s humbling. It’s humbling that, ‘We have no power, we have no authority, we have no ability to do anything, if Allah (AJ) doesn’t send the command.’ That’s why zikrullah (remembrance of Allah (AJ)), that’s why the tafakkur and the contemplation, that’s why all these practices – is to say “Alhamdulillah wa shukranlillah, Alhamdulillah wa shukranlillah.” So that Allah (AJ) dress us bless us and give us a good day another ‘amal (deed). ‘Ya Rabbi don’t forsake us, don’t leave us, don’t be angered by us. Don’t, don’t stop us from our praying for our zikr, from all our good deeds.’
Don’t Rely on Your Deeds, Rely on the Love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
The best of action the best of action to get Allah’s (AJ) attention is the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Because inevitably you will be angering Allah (AJ). That’s why Mawlana (Q) was teaching that Prophet ﷺ, said ‘Don’t go through the door of judgement with Allah (AJ).’
‘An As sayyidah ‘Ayesha (RA), ‘anin Nabi (saws), Qala: “laysa ahadun yuhasabu illa halaka qultu.”
Narrated by Sayida Ayesha (ra), the Prophet (Muhammad) peace and blessings be upon him said: “anyone who ask for his hisab (accounting), is doomed.” [Sahih Muslim 5254]
If you say, ‘I’m relying only in Allah (AJ),’ you can count probably a 1000 times from the time you woke up to night time, you probably done something that Allah (AJ) is going to be upset with. So if you’re only relying on yourself with Allah (AJ), awliya come and teach, ‘It’s very dangerous.’ So if you want Allah’s (AJ) satisfaction and you want Allah (AJ) to keep sending hawla and quwwa so that we can do all our beautific ‘amal, love Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ more than we love ourselves.
Our Love Gets Prophet’s ﷺ Attention and He Intercedes for Us
Because at every moment “…harisun ‘alaykum bilmuminina raufun rahim.” His nazar “shahidan wa mubashshiran wa nadheera.” is watching his ummah (nation).
9:128 – “Laqad jaa akum rasulum min anfusikum ‘azizun ‘alayhi maa ‘anittum harisun ‘alaykum bilmuminina raufun rahim.” (Surat At-Tawbah)
“There has certainly come to you a Messenger from amongst/Within yourselves; it grieves him that you should perish; [he is] concerned over you, and to the believers he is most kind and merciful.” (The Repentance, 9:128)
(Surat Al-Ahzab)
“O Prophet, indeed We have sent you as a Witness and a Bearer of Glad Tidings and a Warner.” (The Combined Forces, 33:45)
Because you love him because you’re focusing on him ﷺ he’s focusing on you. He ﷺ is seeing, ‘You’re gonna come short, before this goes to Allah (AJ), I’m going to intercede for this beloved servant, this beloved servant of Allah (AJ),’ and muhib and lover of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. He ﷺ is going to intercede for our actions and that’s the importance. This love that we have, keeps the nazar of Prophet ﷺ upon us; continuously interceding where we’re going wrong, where we’re coming short, anyone like a family.
Like a Loving Parent, Prophet ﷺ Prevents His Nation from Fire
When you have your children, whom you love wherever they come short in their life your entire being is to help them. If they’re sick and they’re missing an organ, you would give your organ to make them to be better. You don’t think Prophet ﷺ has this love for us? That you showed this love for that reality and we fall short and he ﷺ is going to allow that to go into Allah’s (AJ) presence to bring Allah’s (AJ) anger? Or he ﷺ is going to intercede?
What do we say in Jum’ah? That “…daril jaheem, Mafkharil ‘Arabi wal ‘Ajami…” The one whom prevents his nation from the abode of fire. You know these same people, I don’t know if they hear these words on Jum’ah. That when we’re making our Jum’ah we say “daril Jaheem” the one whom keeps his nation away from the abode of fire.
Allahumma salli wa sallim ‘alaa sayyidina Muhammadin, an nahyi ummatahu ‘an daril jaheem. Mafkharil ‘Arabi wal ‘Ajam, Mawlana wa mawlal ‘alamaynil muhtaramayni, Sayyidina Abil Qasime Muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon our master Sayyidina Muhammad and upon the Family of our master Sayyidina Muhammad (pbuh). O Allah, send peace and blessings upon our master Sayyidina Muhammad, who prevents his nation from the abode of fire. He is the pride of all Arabs and non-Arabs, our master and the master of the two respected worlds, our leader Abul Qasim Sayyidina Muhammad (pbuh).
We pray that Allah (AJ) dress us bless us give us more patience and more understanding. InshaAllah we’ll come back, we have the Naqshbandi Khatm (Zikr of the Naqshbandi Way) and we’ll talk about the reality of Wi-Fi and the daily awrads. InshaAllah.
Ila sharifin Nabi (SallAllahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam) wa ila aalihi wa sahbihil kiram, Wa ila arwahi mashayikhina fit tariqatin Naqshbandiyatil ‘aaliyah, wa ila sayiri sadatina wa Siddiqin. Al Fatiha. Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa ﷺ wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
