You Will Meet God Through His Divine Mirror
From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ.
Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Realities of Divine Mirror and the Kalimah (Testimony)
Alhamdulillah this holy month of Dhul Qi’dah – the holy month of 11, the reality of 11, the reality of La ilaha illallah (There is no deity but Allah) reflecting to Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. Alhamdulillah that this way of ma’rifah – this way of Gnosticism, this way of realities is beyond what people can comprehend. When we describe all the realities and all the ‘ishq and love that Allah (AJ) has for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. The reality of 11, the reality of La ilaha illallah that, ‘I am a hidden treasure wanting to be known.’ That Allah (AJ) brought into existence the reality of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ.
Qala Rasulallahi ﷺ, Qala Allah (AJ): “Kuntu kanzan makhfiyya, fa ahbabtu an a’rafa, fa khalaqtu khalqan, fa ‘arraftahum bi fa ‘arafonee.” [Hadith al Qudsi – Behar al Anwar, Al ‘Alama al Majlisi, Juz’ 84, Safha 199]
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, that Allah (AJ) said: “I was a hidden Treasure then I desired to be known, so I created a creation to which I made Myself known; then they knew Me.” [Holy Hadith – Bihar al Anwar, by Al ‘Alama al Majlisi, Volume 84, Page 199]
Realities of La Ilaha Illallah – There is Nothing Here But Allah (AJ)
Again a reminder for myself that La ilaha illallah means that there is no God and the only Divinity is God – is Allah (AJ). There is no God, no Divinity except Allah (AJ) which is a universal word for the Creator. The phrase itself doesn’t allow you to think creation is there. So it means there is nothing, nothing in this ocean but The Creator, source of all power, source of all will, source of every reality. But no creation is there because we don’t have partnership with the Divine. we don’t have a proximity to the Divine where you can share a space of breath, a glance of that reality in that reality to see that reality.
Realities of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ – The Creation Allah (AJ) Created to be Known By
Allah (AJ), ‘I was a hidden treasure and I am still a hidden treasure wanting to be known.’ Allah (AJ) brings into existence creation. That ocean in which creation is manifesting from is Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. So by the ocean of creation is to worship the Creator and to find the Creator. To find the signs of the Creator in the ocean of creation and to contemplate about the Creator through the ocean of creation. So you can’t contemplate about the Creator of where is Allah (AJ), how is Allah (AJ), when did Allah (AJ) astaghfirullah (I seek forgiveness from Allah (AJ)). But to contemplate within the ocean of creation, the greatness, the signs, the Magnificence and Munificence of the Creator.
You Can’t Look to the Sun: Understanding the Need for the Muhammadan Mirror
If we understood that then we understand the immensity of this phrase – Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. It has everything to do with knowing the Creator, glorifying the Creator, loving the Creator. Because only through that mirror can we understand its reality because nobody can look to the Creator. So you look to the mirror of that reality called Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. If we can’t look to the sun and you can’t even look to bright shining lights. They have lights in this room that is bright and you look in it feel like your retinas are coming out. If you can’t look to that light, how humanity thinks that they can go directly to Allah (AJ) and that they’ll deal directly with Allah (AJ). But tariqahs (spiritual paths) come to bring the reality of what Prophet ﷺ was teaching his holy companions. It is that – the reflection of Allah (AJ) is in His creation and the greatest reflection of Allah (AJ) is in the reality of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. That’s why Allah (AJ) teaching Prophet ﷺ to teach people, ‘I’m not in heaven, I’m not on earth but I’m in the heart of the one who believes in Me.’
‘An Wahab ibn Munabbeh, Qala Rasulallahi ﷺ, Qala Allah (AJ): “Maa wasi’anee laa samayee, wa la ardee, laakin wasi’anee qalbi ‘Abdi al Mu’min.” [Hadith al Qudsi, Al Ghazali fi al Ihyaa, wa Ibn ‘Arabi fi al Tarajim, Safha 224]
Narrated by Wahab the son of Munabbeh that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said that Allah (AJ) said: “Neither My Heavens nor My Earth can contain Me, but the heart of my Believing Servant.” [Holy Hadith, by Imam al-Ghazali in Al Ihya, and by Ibn ‘Arabi in al Tarajib, Page 224]
Why? Because the heart is the mirror. When they look to their heart, their desires, their wants what they circumambulated in life will be in their heart. If they only wanted a fancy car then what they’re going to have? They’re not going to find the Creator. It is just going to be their material desires and that’s why Allah (AJ) is teaching that, ‘I’m not anywhere that you’re going to find Me, you’re not of that reality. But I’ll be in the heart of the one whom loves Me, the one whom believes in Me.’ “Qalb al mu’min baytullah.”
Qala Rasulallahi ﷺ, Qala Allah (AJ): “ “Qalb al mu’min baytur rabb.” [Hadith al Qudsi]
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, that Allah (AJ) said:“The heart of the believer is the House of the Lord.” (Holy Hadith)
Muhammadan Mirror Reflects Divine Love and Kindness Towards Creation
So then we make our heart to be a house for Allah (AJ) in which we love the Divine. We love that which Allah (AJ) loves and then that reality of the mirror that Allah (AJ) will be known through that mirror. Allah (AJ) will be loved and understood through that mirror. That’s the reality that Allah (AJ) is asking for us. Otherwise without that mirror how are we going to know what Allah (AJ), by who? By ancient aliens? How are we going to know what generosity is, what love is?
If You Want Allah’s (AJ) Love, Follow Prophet ﷺ
What is compassion? Is that the collective whole of compassion at one time they were sacrificing humans, everything? Was that compassion? Or it is based on a scale by humanity or a moral code that is based on humanity, or Allah (AJ) sent us a standard that look to My mirror, “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allah.” ‘If you want My love and if it is Me that you’re seeking, fattabi’uni.’
3:31 – “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allaha fattabi’uni, yuhbibkumullahu…” (Surat Ali ‘Imran)
“Say, [O Muhammad], “If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you …” (Family of Imran, 3:31)
That fattabi’uni is in reference to follow the way of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. ‘Follow Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and the way of that reality. I will love you and I’ll grant you that love.’
Each Prophet (as) Has an Imperfection in Their Reflection, They Need Prophet ﷺ for Intercession
It means that everywhere we’re looking, Allah (AJ) is pushing us to, ‘Find Me, find Me. Go to all the prophets (as) and see that you found Me but with an imperfection.’ Each one had committed a sin that made an imperfection in the reflection of their reality. The one closest to Prophet ﷺ, Sayyidina Isa (as), in time and in arrival and says that, ‘I have an imperfection because my people took me as their lord, as god. As a result of that imperfection, all my community must go to your door for intercession.’
It means then all of them were mirrors and Allah (AJ) wants that you love all the mirrors, all the books. That’s why Islam is complete; we have to believe in all the religions, we have to believe in all the holy books. We have to believe in the angels, we have to believe in all the prophets (as) peace and blessings be upon all their souls. Because they’re the mirrors of the Divine. You have to love a mirror that is representing Allah (AJ). You have to respect them. That’s why you can’t go down, you can only go up. You can’t take one of your mirrors and break it and say, ‘Oh I’m no longer accepting this mirror.’ But that’s a reflection, that last mirror has all the secrets of all the mirrors and reflections of Allah (AJ).

[Sahih al-Bukhari 4476, Kitab 65, Hadith 3]
Narrated Anas (ra): The Prophet (pbuh) said, “On the Day of Resurrection the Believers will assemble and say, ‘Let us ask somebody to intercede for us with our Lord.’ So they will go to Sayyidina Adam (as) and say, ‘You are the father of all the people, and Allah (AJ) created you with His Own Hands, and ordered the angels to prostrate to you, and taught you the names of all things; so please intercede for us with your Lord, so that He May Relieve us from this place of ours. Sayyidina Adam (as) will say: ‘I am not fit for this (i.e. intercession for you).’ Then Adam (as) will remember his sin and feel ashamed thereof.
He will say, ‘Go to Sayyidina Noah (as), for he was the first Apostle Allah (AJ) sent to the inhabitants of the earth.’ They will go to him and Sayyidina Noah (as) will say, ‘I am not fit for this undertaking.’ He will remember his appeal to his Lord to do what he had no knowledge of, then he will feel ashamed thereof. He will say: ‘Go to the Khalilur Rahman (Sayyidina Abraham (as)).’ They will go to him, and he will say: ‘I am not fit for this undertaking.’
‘Go to Sayyidina Moses (as), the servant to whom Allah (AJ) spoke (directly) and gave him the Torah.’ So they will go to him, and he will say: ‘I am not fit for this undertaking.’ And he will mention (his) killing a person who was not a killer, and so he will feel ashamed thereof before his Lord.
He will say, ‘Go to Sayyidina Isa (Jesus) (as), Allah’s (AJ) Servant, His Apostle and Allah’s Word and a Spirit coming from Him. Sayyidina Isa (Jesus) (as) will say, ‘I am not fit for this undertaking.’
‘Go to Sayyidina Muhammad (pbuh) the Servant of Allah (AJ) whose past and future sins were forgiven by Allah (AJ). ‘So they will come to me and I will proceed till I will ask my Lord’s Permission and I will be given permission.’
‘When I see my Lord, I will fall down in prostration, and He will let me remain in that state as long as He wishes. Then I will be addressed: “(Muhammad!) Raise your head. Ask, and your request will be granted; speak, and you will be heard; intercede, and your intercession will be accepted.”‘ ‘I will then raise my head and praise Allah (AJ) with a saying (i.e., invocation) He will teach me. Then I will intercede, and He will fix a limit for me (to intercede for), and I will admit them into Paradise. Then I will come back again to Allah (AJ), and when I see my Lord, the same thing will happen to me. I will intercede, and Allah (AJ) will fix a limit for me to intercede for those I will admit into Paradise. Then I will come back for the third time. Then I will come back for the fourth time and will say, “None remains in Hell…” [Sahih al-Bukhari 4476, Book 65, Hadith 3]
Why Celebrating Mawlid (Celebration of the Birthday of Prophet ﷺ) is Essential in the Path of Love and Reflection?
When we understood and that’s why it is repeating, repeating, every talk keeps coming back then you get somebody asking, ‘Well why should we have the Mawlidun Nabi ﷺ (celebration of the birthday of Prophet ﷺ)?’ Oh that you have to be timed out or thrown out because you’re not getting it. You’re probably from those other madhabs that don’t get it and their only understanding is of a very rude understanding of the reality of Prophet ﷺ. It means with all this teaching of ‘ishq and all these teachings of love and all these teachings of reflection, how could you not celebrate that mirror that will reflect the Divinely Presence upon your soul? How do you not celebrate Allah (AJ) every day, at every moment, at every breath for every drop of rain? For every dust and particle that came into existence from beginning of time to the end of time to the day of judgment.
Praising Allah (AJ) with the Adab (Manner) of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ
That’s why when you read Dalail ul Khairat (book of praising on Prophet ﷺ) the eloquence in their praising is it is a praising for Allah (AJ) but with the adab of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. That they understood that, ‘Ya Rabbi this greatest mirror that You made that reflects Your beatific oceans and reality.’ That when I praise upon it for every drop of rain, every grain of sand, every ray of of sunlight from the beginning of time to the end of time to the day of judgment. It is all the praising upon the one whom is casting the original light. It is the praisings upon La ilaha illallah.
When you praise upon Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ, when you love Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ, when we do all of these celebrations, it is a mirror in which we’re showing La ilaha illallah, ‘We found You Ya Rabbi. We love You Ya Rabbi. We cherish You Ya Rabbi. Shine these lights upon our soul, upon our heart, upon our families and upon our communities.’ That was the quest. Allah (AJ) didn’t want is so easy that you oh you think you came to Allah (AJ).
It is a Treasure Hunt to Reach Allah (AJ), Accepting Islam is the First Step
You were supposed to come to Allah (AJ) but you were supposed to find Allah (AJ). Don’t think that you found Allah (AJ) just because you walked through the door. The Arabi came and say, ‘Okay we believe.’ Allah (AJ) corrected and, ‘What do you believe? You just accepted, means you came through step one.’
49:14 – “Qaalatil-A ‘raabu aamannaa qul lam tu’minoo wa laakin qoolooo aslamnaa wa lamma yadkhulil eemaanu fee quloobikum wa in tutee’ul laaha wa Rasoolahoo laa yalitkum min a’maalikum shai’aa; innal laaha Ghafoorur Raheem” (Surat Al-Hujurat)
The desert Arabs say, “We believe.” Say, “Ye have no faith; but ye (only)say, ‘We have submitted our wills to Allah,’ For not yet has Faith entered your hearts. But if ye obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not belittle aught of your deeds: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
You only accepted Islam, you didn’t find any iman (faith), you didn’t believe. It means coming to Allah (AJ) of course, you have to stop the many and come to One. So our life was to come to La ilaha illallah to Allah (AJ) but Allah (AJ) said, ‘That was the beginning. That was just step one that you’re not an idol worshiper, congratulations! But you didn’t get the goal, you didn’t get the trophy.’ You took yourself out of the worshipping of many and idolatry and you came to monotheism and Oneness.
As result of that Oneness, Allah (AJ) then begins to inspire through Qur’an, through hadith, through all these teachings. When He really wants them to understand, He inspires them to the turuqs (spiritual paths) and the to the tariqahs that are Muhammadiyoon. They are true to their creed and to their understanding, is to teach everything about the mirror. The mirror of the Divine which will reflect the realities of the Divine to the souls of people whom move towards it.
If You Think You Can Reach Allah (AJ) Directly, You’re Bypassing Prophet ﷺ
For if you don’t come to the mirror and you think you’re supposed to go directly to La ilaha illallah then what happened – you cut out Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. Then you’re saying that you’re not in need of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ, maybe you can reflect that directly yourself, astaghfirullah. Everywhere we look, every adab is showing and teaching to us that – no, we go to the reflection. We go to the mirror, we go to the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ in which that love and that light reflects upon us. Allah (AJ) then says, ‘You found Me that you found this reflection on this creation and you found this reality, you found My love.’
The Search for Divine Love Brings You to the Door of Awliyaullah (Saints)
It was a hunt and a treasure hunt for love and ‘ishq. It wasn’t so easy, you opened the door and, ‘Oh it is okay Allah (AJ) I got through the door and understood everything.’ That was kindergarten. Ah! You merely accepted, the journey has not even begun. The journey begins when the saalik and the seeker saying, ‘I want Allah (AJ).’ Then Allah (AJ), ‘Well, come to find Me. I’m not on heaven, I’m not on earth, I’m on the heart of my believer.’
Then they go around looking from believer to believer how to find Allah (AJ), how to find this love and this compassion. They start to seek out. There are many from Tazkiratul Awliya (Biographies of the Saints) expressions of awliya (saints), ‘I came to those who made jihad (struggle) all the time and I didn’t find it. I went to those whom prayed all day and I didn’t find it. I went to those whom recited excessively and I didn’t find it but I sent and sat with the Sufis, the darwish (Sufi ascetic), the real muhibbin (lovers of the way) and I found it. I found Allah (AJ) amongst them. I found what I was looking for of Divine love amongst them because they were mirrors reflecting that light and that love.’
Tariqahs are the Hidden Paths to Divine Love
So it means the true guidance and the turuq and tariqah means the path, these hidden paths that Allah (AJ) didn’t make it like daylight. Because Prophet ﷺ gave a hint that, ‘My companions are like stars on a dark night.’ Didn’t say that, ‘It is a shining day that all my companions will be everywhere.’ But, ‘In the darkness of the ignorance of this world those whom are my companions, whom love me and I love them. They’re like stars on a dark night. Any one of them you follow, you will be guided.’ There was an isharah (sign) and guidance for us – we have to seek in life.
Qala Rasulullahi ﷺ: “Ashabi kan Nujoom, bi ayyihim aqta daytum ahta daytum.”
The messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “My companions are like stars. Whoever among them you follow, you will be rightly
Where Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is Loved, Allah (AJ) is Found
When you truly love Allah (AJ) you seek, ‘I want to sit with those whom truly love Allah (AJ).’ How could you be with a group of people who claim to love Allah (AJ) but they never make zikr (Divine Remembrance)? They’re never mentioning the one whom they love. So it means they sat with many different groups, they accompanied many different people. They accompanied people whom were very hard, they didn’t want to even give sadaqah (charity) to poor people outside the mosque. They were like, everything for them was a political.
So it means many people have understandings and what they believe Islam is and what they believe Allah (AJ) wants. Until the seeker one day sits with those whom have immense love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. As a result their hearts are mirrors reflecting. When they reflect the love of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ, it is filled with the reality of La ilaha illallah. Because Allah’s (AJ) gaze and Divine power is on the reality of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ.
Divine Power Reaches Creation Through the Holy Heart of Prophet ﷺ
So it means the nazar (gaze) of Allah (AJ), the qudra (power) of Allah (AJ) is a continuous gaze of power on the reality of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. The one who gains the gaze and the nazar of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ, now we understand the satellite. Because that power flows in tawheed (oneness). “La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah, La hawla wa la quwwata.”
وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ اِلاَّ بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيْمِ
“Wa laa hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil ‘Aliyyil ‘Azheem.”
“And there is no Support, nor power except by Allah, The Most High, The Magnificent.”
There is no help and there is no power “illa, illa” and by “billah.” That is a laser. That La ilaha illallah not hitting you. Mawlana (Q) would describe, ‘It is not a Turkish bazaar, going everywhere.’ Otherwise everybody would be delivering the Qur’an. La ilaha illallah flows with a power into the reality and is the power reality of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. Then Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ is the throne of the Divinely Presence and Allah (AJ) is the King that sits upon that heart.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa ﷺ wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
