Atiullah wa atiur Rasul wa Ulil amre minkum
أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنكُم… ﴿٥٩﴾ …
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
The Reality of 9 is the Sultanate of All Numbers
Always a reminder for myself ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence. Alhamdulillah, that Allah (AJ) granted us a life to enter into the holy month of Ramadan and the reality of the sultanate (kingdom). The reality of the 9th month, the reality of the reality of 9 – the most powerful number of numbers. That it represents the sultanate and the highest single digit number. Everything else then is built upon that reality.
Eight Upholds the Throne of One (Holy Qur’an, 69:17)
Huwal Awwal wa Huwal Akhir means that from the beginning of 1 to the end and the khatam of 9 has the immense realities of these numeric codes and 9 represents the sultan and the king. Allah (AJ) in all traditions mentioned that, ‘Eight will uphold the throne of One’.
69:17 – “Wal Malaku ‘ala arjayeha, wa yahmilu ‘Arsha Rabbika fawqahum yawmaidhin thamaniyatun.” (Surat Haqqah)
“And the angels/ will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them.” (The Reality, 69:17)
Allah (AJ) Stamped Us With 18 and 81 on Our Hands
Alhamdulillah, many times we’ve reminded ourselves and everyone else, Allah (AJ) stamped us with these codes 8 and 1. In Arabic numerals on the left is 1 and 8 and on the right is 81. It’s the reverse, yeah. It’s 18 on the right hand; left hand – 81, inshaAllah. So, it means that these 8 and 1, 8 and 1 is a stamp upon our reality for us to one day recognize that we are created to serve the kingdom of Allah (AJ). Allah’s (AJ) king and malik is the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
The Power of 9 Renders Itself to Be Nothing Like Ramadan Renders Us Into Oceans of Nothingness
The reality of 9 and the sultanate of 9 and the reality of the most powerful number in which renders everything back to a nuqt (dot). It means the power of 9 is such that anything that approaches and multiplied by 9 renders itself back to a nuqt, to be nothing and reflects itself as a 9. Our reality to enter into the holy month of Ramadan, to be nothing.
That ask Allah (AJ) that by that power of the sultanate, by the power of that reality that Allah (AJ) is giving as the reality of Ramadan, that Allah (AJ) render us into the oceans of nothingness. It means to dissolve and destroy all our wrongdoings, all our egoistic characters, all of the badness – render us back to being like a pearl, like a nuqt, like a dot in it’s purity and its cleanliness and it’s in complete submission.
Allah (AJ) Melts Away Our Ego When We Fast in Ramadan
It means that 9 has such an immense reality of submission that anything that fuses and multiplies by it and fusion is a reality of fana (annihilation). As soon as we enter into the 9th month, it’s like we’re multiplying and entering into the ocean of fana, that we’re annihilating ourself in that month. By the dress of that month, the reality of that month is Ramadan in which Allah’s (AJ) grace is that you fast.
As soon as you abstain and the immense reality of abstinence and abstaining, Allah (AJ) begins to enter the fusion process and we begin to dissolve. All the badness dissolves, all the calcification of our bodily reality and our bodily form that has partnered with shaitan (satan) and the nafs (ego) begins to melt away, begins to dissolve.
Read, Listen to, Meditate and Contemplate on Holy Qur’an During This Month
As a result, the servants become pure and purified and purified by the light of Holy Qur’an. That’s why it’s a month in which to meditate, contemplate, listen to. Even you can find on Spotify, the Qur’an recited in English so that if you’re not able to read or your eyes are weakened from reading, they can recite for you in English if that’s your language. I’m sure you can find in Urdu and Arabic. Definitely everyone has every Qur’an in Arabic.
So, it means so many ways Allah (AJ) gives to us to enter into that contemplation. That just by meditating and listening to the Qur’an in English as it’s being recited, it’s already being dressed upon the servant. It’s by the reality of the Qur’an that Allah (AJ) dressing the servants. “’Allamal Qur’an badan khalaqal insaan”. ‘Then afterwards I created insan (mankind)’.
﴾عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ ﴿٢﴾ خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ ﴿٣
55:2-3 – “Allamal Qur’an (2). Khalaqal Insaan (3).” (Surat Ar Rahman)
“It is He Who has taught the Qur’an. (2) He has created Mankind. (3)” (The Beneficent, 55: 2-3)
Contemplate About Creation, Not About the Creator
So, as a result of meditating on the Qur’an, it means opening its realities and opening its lights upon the soul. So, it’s the immensity of this power of 9 and the reality of the sultanate of 9 that annihilates everyone, annihilates everything and anything that is multiplied by 9, the power of that sultan (king) will make it to become a 9.
It means that anytime we want to meditate and contemplate, Allah (AJ) directs us is to contemplate upon creation and Prophet’s ﷺ teaching is don’t contemplate about Allah (AJ). That takes you out of belief. That’s where philosophers, they want to understand that the inappropriate understandings of Allah (AJ) and Prophet ﷺ taught for us is contemplate about creation and the best of creation is Sayyidina Muhammad’s ﷺ reality and the prophetic reality.
‘An Abi Ja’far (as) qala: “Iyakum wat tafakkaru fillahi wa lakin idha aradtum an tunzaro ila ‘azamatihi fanzaro ila ‘azimi khalqihi.”
Abu Ja’far (A) said, “Beware of tafakkur in God. But if you wish to view His grandeur, observe the great of His creations.”
Those Fasting in Ramadan Gather Around the Light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
Anytime we contemplate on that reality and we begin to meditate and ask that, ‘My Lord, that dress me and annihilate me into the presence of that reality.’ That’s the reality of multiplication. That we take our being and who we are and we’re asking to multiply it and fuse it by the reality of the best of creation, the most powerful of creation which stands for the reality of that 9 and the sultanate. 9 multiplied by anything turns it back into a 9. 9 multiplied by 2 becomes 18. 1 and 8 become 9.
So, it has an immense blessing and then to achieve that with the light of Qur’an and the lights of Ramadan and the secret of siyam and fasting. We pray that Allah (AJ) dress us from these immense lights, bless us from these immense lights and that this Baab ur Rahmah (the Gate of Mercy) for ten days dressing and bringing everybody into the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Every soul is in this ocean of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. Those whom intend to make siyam and fast the Ramadan, their lights, they gather around the presence of the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ as the rahmah (mercy) of Allah (AJ) begins to intercede upon their lights and their souls so that they can enter into the immense realities of the ten days, of the first ten days of Ramadan, inshaAllah.
