Who Holds More Value to Allah (AJ): One With Sincere Love or One Educated With Lots of Books?
From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi
A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I seek refuge in Allah (AJ) from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ.
Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Tune In to the Muhammadan Live Broadcasting to Your Heart and Soul
Alhamdulillah, that Allah (AJ) grant us this holy month of hajj (pilgrimage), holy month of blessings, holy month of realities, ten most blessed days of our 12 month journey. The immensity of guidance from Allah (AJ) and the ni’mat and blessings when Allah (AJ) guides you to the hands of awliyaullah (saints), the “Ulil amre minkum”. That their ‘uloom and their knowledges bring us into the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Everything on dunya (material world) is a reflection of a greater reality on Earth and access to a heavenly live stream is available. That live stream is a reflection from the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
All ‘ashiqeen (lovers) and muhibbin (lovers of the way), they know the omnipresence of Prophet ﷺ and the ever-living reality of the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. In your heart and soul, you must know that there’s a live broadcast at all times, that “Mubashshiran… shahidan, mubashshiran wan nazeeran”.
(Surat Al-Ahzab)
“O Prophet, indeed We have sent you as a Witness and a Bearer of Glad Tidings and a Warner.” (The Combined Forces, 33:45)
None Hear Prophet’s ﷺ Guidance Except Those of Tafakkirun
That the description from Holy Qur’an describing the reality of Prophet ﷺ; many, many realities. But that Prophet ﷺ is guiding his nation, continuously advising to his nation, but none can hear except the tafakkirun. There are categories of rijal (people of maturity) in which Allah (AJ) gives to Holy Qur’an and some translators try to oversimplify and call them ‘men of understanding’. But there are people whom are tafakkirun. This is the baseline. There are ‘ulama qaaiman bil qist. This is a deeper reality.
3:18 – “Shahidallahu annahu la ilaha illa Hu wal mala’ikatu wa ulul ‘ilmi qaaiman bil qist…” (Surat Al-Imran)
“Allah bears witness that there is no god but He, and the angels and men of knowledge, upholding justice; …” (Family of Imran, 3:18)
The Value of Your Soul is Determined By Your Love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
There are the Ulul al Baab (Gatekeepers of the reality), ‘alayhim as salaam, then again another reality. These are the category of awliyaullah (saints) and they can be in many categories at the same time. But their hearts are connected to a live stream, broadcasting from the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Everything they teach is oversimplified, but immensely deep. In these days and in these difficulties and in these situations of darkness opening upon the Earth, they remind to us that all these na’at sharif (prophetic praising) and all this salawat (praises upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) and durood (praising on Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) that we’re reciting, these are deep realities and du’as (supplications) of the Divinely Presence.
Tonight, when we recited “Jinsy tu be ishq hai” and we’ve said many times, but we say again, maybe it clicks for people again. Jins means your goods, your value. That the value of your soul, your body, your existence on this Earth is be ishqihim, be ishq Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Think in the common sense. What Allah (AJ) cares of what you have. What Allah (AJ) cares of how much you prayed and how many books you memorize and how much you think you know the fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence) and how many Hadith you memorize and how much of the Qur’an you memorized, all of how many hajj (pilgrimage) you made, how many ‘umrahs you made. Think of everything. Common sense, what Allah (AJ) wants to do with that? Put on trophy somewhere? What Allah (AJ) going to do with that?
Your Fiqh and Memorization is for You, Not Allah (AJ)
But what Allah (AJ) wants is that, ‘All of that should have given you an immense value in My Divinely Presence’. Because what does Allah (AJ) value? Very, very common sense. All the fiqhi guys, they can hear this talk because we know they’re all watching. Watch. It’s all common sense. What Allah (AJ) wants to do with your fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence)? It was for you. It was not for Allah (AJ). So, let’s say you memorize all the books you know exactly: ‘step like this, step like this, do like this, like this…’ You know, all the complicated Arabic terms, but yet in your heart, you don’t have a love for Prophet ﷺ. What Allah (AJ) wants to do with you?
What these awliya (saints) come into our lives and say, look: make it simple, beep, beep, beep. They have an expression that in work and business and dunya (material world), if you make it so complicated, nobody understands what you’re saying. It’s like a track only in your mind. You feel happy with that. ‘It’s so confusing. Nobody can understand it, but I understand it’. But you just confuse the entire audience.
This is dunya. What do they advise you in dunya? Make it simple, beep, beep. So, imagine now for akhirah (hereafter), where Allah (AJ) say all these things, these people trying to push and argue and debate, and ‘Your fiqh is wrong. Your hand was wrong. Your thought was wrong. Your speech was wrong. Your pronunciation was wrong. You don’t know enough like the books we know. Therefore, you don’t know anything’.
Your Perfect Pronounciation has No Value for Allah (AJ)
When Allah (AJ), these awliyaullah (saints) coming into our lives – jinsy tu be ishq hai – these are your jins, the goods that you bring before your Lord. Judgment in dunya (material world) and judgment in akhirah (hereafter). In Urdu, jins is your goods, right? Because Farsi is your goods. Wa jinsy kujaz – what you got. When you go into business, when they want to give you a loan, they say, ‘What’s your jins? What buildings you own? What money you have? Where’s your cash? What’s all these things?’ These people also gathering for Allah (AJ)? ‘Oh, I did this, I memorized this. I got these. I got three degrees. I’m alama ulama (scholar) ‘aalim (scholar). I’m mufti. I got all these different things’.
These are all your jins that either you’re bringing them for the dunya (material world) people, the bankers and financial people or you’re bringing your jins for Allah (AJ) because in the end, He wants to judge and says, ‘Now, let me see your value with all that you brought before Me’. What Allah (AJ) wants with somebody who her pronunciation is so amazingly perfect, perfect, great, but they have no kholoq and no character? What Allah (AJ) going to do with those goods? Because you don’t know who the kingdom belongs to. What Allah (AJ) wants to do with you? Nothing. Because this kingdom has been given to Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. “Malikal haqqul mubeen, sadiqul wa’dil amin, alayna hu wa malikal haqqul Mubeen, Muhammadun Rasulallah sadiqul wa’dil amin”.
“La ilaha illallahul malikul haqqul mubeen,
Muhammadun rasulullahi sadiqul wa’dil amin.”
“There is no god but Almighty Allah, the King, the Clear Truth.
Muhammad (pbuh), who is the messenger of Allah, fulfils his promises and is trustworthy.”
This Entire Creation Manifests From Muhammadun RasulAllah ﷺ
It’s on the kiswah (cloth draped upon Ka’bah) of the Ka’bah, the door of the Ka’bah. Even the ones who don’t like Prophet ﷺ, their heart is compelled to write the verses on the door of the Ka’bah which is the heart of Prophet ﷺ, wa malikal haqqul mubeen. So, what all this creation is going to be judged for is for malikal haqqul mubeen. That, ‘Were you good servants to My kingdom whom he ﷺ is the king?’ What Allah (AJ) wants to do with dunya (material world) and all its dunya, and all the vastness of all this creation? What Allah (AJ) want to do with that? It’s like you wanting to go into your computer.
Allah (AJ) created this creation, but Allah (AJ) is not inside of the creation. All this creation is called “Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ”. It’s in the kalimah (testimony). La ilaha illAllah is very clear. That doesn’t need even a tafsir (interpretation). There’s nothing, Allah’s (AJ) qudra and power. Everything is manifesting from Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ in that.
“La ilaha illallahu Muhammadun Rasulallah”
“There is no deity but Allah, Prophet Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.”
Love Prophet ﷺ More Than You Love Yourself
Coming for judgment, what’s your jins? What you bringing to the table? If it’s your knowledges, if it’s your goods, if it’s your acquisitions, awliya (saints) are coming and teaching – jinsy tu be ishq hai. Only jins and only value in Allah’s (AJ) eyes is: ‘How much did you love my king?’ That if you loved him ﷺ more than you love yourself, what happens? Prophet ﷺ describes then these servants have faith.
Wa ‘an ‘Umar (as) qala: “Fawajadtu nafsi aqoolo: Wallahi ya Rasulullahi, inni uhibbuka!
Faqala lahu anNabiyu ﷺ: “Akthara min ahlika ya ‘Umar?” Qultu: Na’am. Qala ﷺ: “Akthara min malika ya ‘Umar?”, Qultu: Na’am. Qala ﷺ: “Akthara min nafsika ya ‘Umar?”, Qala: La.
Faqala anNabiyu ﷺ: “La ya ‘Umar, la yakmulu imanoka hatta akuna ahabba ilayka min nafsika.”
Yaqoolo ‘Umar (as): Fakhrajtu fafakkartu. [Sahih al-Bukhari, al-Majladu al-Rabi’o, raqm al-hadith 594]
Narrated by Sayyidina ‘Umar (as) that he said: “I found myself saying, ‘By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, I love you!’ The Prophet (pbuh) said to him, ‘Is it more than your love for your family, O ‘Umar?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ He (pbuh) said, ‘Is it more than your love for your wealth, O ‘Umar?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘Is it more than your love for yourself, O ‘Umar?’ He said, ‘No.’
The Prophet (pbuh), said, ‘No, O ‘Umar, your faith will not be complete until I become more beloved to you than your own self.’ Sayyidina ‘Umar (as) said: So I went out and thought. Then I returned and shouted, ‘By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, you are more beloved to me than myself.’ The Prophet (pbuh) said, ‘Now, O ‘Umar, now [you got it].’ [Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 4, Hadith #594]
Everything On Earth Will Be at Your Feet When You Increase Your Love of Prophet ﷺ
Our whole life, its secret and its reality is that love. Jinsy tu be ishq hai. How much you love Prophet ﷺ gives you the value and the esteem of your soul. The ‘ashiqeen, just by the value of their love, the power of their love, Allah (AJ) pulls their soul into the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It’s not from them. It’s not something they click and something happens. But they were taught by their shaykhs: increase your love. Before you increase your assets, your conditions, your health, everything that this dunya (material world) tells you is important, make sure your love is super solid.
Then business and trade, it never deviates them from this love because once they’re locked and they’re loved, they can have everything on this Earth. Allah (AJ) will put it at their feet. But it has no value in their eyes in comparison to the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. But that love has to be established. That bond has to be made. All these durood, all these salawats, all the good character takes away the contamination so the bond connects. Would Prophet ﷺ connect with something dirty? No. So, it means the character is what we shining with our zikr (Divine remembrance), with our tafakkur, with our contemplation. Why? To take away the dirtiness so that when my soul bonds, it bonds perfectly to the reality of Prophet ﷺ and ‘You be with whom you love.’
‘An Anasin (ra): … Faqala (Rasulullahi) ﷺ: “Anta ma’a man ahbabta.”

Prophet’s ﷺ Presence at Jabal ar Rahmah Turns It to the Mountain of Mercy
Prophet ﷺ and Allah (AJ) and these Hadith is teaching us, ‘You’ll be with whom you love. If it’s me you love and me you want to be with, you’ll be’. Take yourself to a state of love, sincere love, in which this love pulls us into the presence of hajj (pilgrimage), pulls us into the presence of ‘Arafah. As we are entering the hajj, the whole room is moving into the presence of Prophet ﷺ. The whole Ka’bah is there and Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, sitting. It’s not difficult for Allah (AJ). We’re not confined to any space and time. This whole image overlaps with the haqqaiq (realities) of where Prophet ﷺ is.
As a result, that association takes place in the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. When Prophet ﷺ is on Jabal ar Rahmah (Mountain of Mercy), the whole association moves and the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is on Jabal ar Rahmah. This signature of this white signifies the presence of Prophet ﷺ because he is the rahmah (mercy) of Allah (AJ). What makes Jabal ar Rahmah to have mercy is as soon as Prophet ﷺ steps upon that mountain becomes the mountain of mercy. Allah (AJ), for the sake of the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, Allah (AJ) opens the fountains of rahmah to forgive the nation. Whether you’re there physically and ignorant because many are physically don’t know, doesn’t matter.
Allah (AJ) Calls Us Through Atiur Rasul wa Ulil Amre Minkum (Holy Qur’an, 4:59)
The rahmah is coming because the presence of the one is there. All the ‘ashiqeen, whom with their love, they have a jins. They have a value by Allah (AJ). As a result, whom love them, they’re all, all of them on a mi’raj (ascension). They’re all present in the middle of the mountain of Jabal ar Rahmah in ‘Arafah. Instead of the white symbol, it’s the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ standing. Everything is based on Prophet ﷺ. They understood that when they go for their jamarat (three stone pillars) and to fight the three shaitans that take off the veil from their heart. The shaitan has a veil upon, has a lock upon and their life was to take away the lock off their ears, the lock of their eyes and Allah (AJ) take the kiswah off their heart which is the veil of ignorance on their heart.
How many times they’re going to go with these ‘ashiqeen (lovers) and to keep the company of their shaykhs? How? Not by ‘aqel (intellect). Say, ‘I like you’, but by their heart. In their sincerity and in their actions, they sincerely have a love. The shaykh pulls them with love into that presence. They’re pulled by love from the presence of their shaykh. All are pulled by the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. They’ve been called. When Allah (AJ) calls a servant, does the call come from Allah (AJ) to you directly? Can’t because Allah (AJ) said “Atiullah wa atiur Rasul wa Ulil amre minkum”.
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat An-Nisa)
“… Obey Allah (AJ), Obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Even the Biggest Mountain Cannot Handle the Holy Qur’an (Holy Qur’an, 59:21)
So, when we say labbaik, who called us? No mind people, ‘Allah (AJ) called.’ Okay, you’re oversimplifying, but that’s not what the Qur’an says. Holy Qur’an says that the obedience to Allah (AJ) – Atiullah – means Allah (AJ) made a call, but nobody can answer it. For ‘ata means obedience.
Who answered the call and always answers the call establishes the system of being called and spoken to in creation? Because when Allah (AJ) calls, it’s Qur’an. Allah (AJ) said, ‘The Qur’an can’t even go onto the mountain of Mount Everest, your biggest mountain that you know. It will be dust’.
59:21 – “Law anzalna hadha alQurana ‘ala jabalin laraaytahu, khashi’an mutasaddi’an min khashyatillahi…” (Surat Al-Hashr)
“Had We sent down this Qur’an on a mountain, verily, you would have seen it obliterated to dust (from its power)…” (The Exile, 59:21)
Only Prophet ﷺ Can Obey Allah (AJ), Only Ulul Amr Can Obey Prophet ﷺ
But when Allah (AJ) calls, Allah (AJ) speaks, Allah’s (AJ) “Qul” is to the heart of Prophet ﷺ. Then “Atiur Rasul”, that who can obey Prophet ﷺ? Every jahil (ignorant), every crazy, every angry, every dirty? Or “Ulil amre minkum”? Because Allah (AJ) even wrote in the huroof (Arabic letters), they are alif, meem, ra. Their jism (physical form), the jism is an alif, is a meem and a ra. When Allah (AJ) created the reality, this is jism in the heavens. Because our understanding of a jism on dunya (material world) means something different. But Allah (AJ) says, ‘The very essence of who they are and what I’ve created them for was to obey Rasulallah ﷺ.’ They were created for that. They’re not made over time.
Allah (AJ) doesn’t look and say, ‘Oh, you’re kind of not a good one. Maybe you’re a good one, maybe you’re not.’ This is their mentality where they think everything plays out and lets say Allah (AJ) figures it. Its already been pre-written, preordained. When Allah (AJ) decided to make creation, “Kun faya koon.” They were already written who these Ulul Amrs (saints) are.
36:82 – “Innama AmruHu idha Arada shay an, an yaqola lahu kun faya koon.” (Surat YaSeen)
“His command is when He intends a thing, He says to it, “Be,” and it is!” (YaSeen, 36:82)
Ulul Amr Learn the Book and Teach It (Holy Qur’an, 3:79)
Their jism is they have the alif of Allah (AJ). They have the Muhammadan haqqaiq and they are Muhammadiyoon. As a result, they have a ra and they are Rabbaniyoon (lordly souls). What Allah (AJ) described of Rabbaniyoon in Qur’an? That they learned the book and they taught the book. They even come back and teach you the book.
3:79 – “…wa lakin kono rabbaniyena bima kuntum tu`allimoonal kitaba wabima kuntum tadrusoon.” (Surat Ali-Imran)
“…Be Lordly Souls/faithful servants/worshippers of Him, Because (of what) you have taught the Book and you have studied it earnestly.” (Family of Imran, 3:79)
Find Ulul Amr to Increase Your Value in Allah’s (AJ) Way
The book of Allah (AJ) must be Hayyul Qayyum (The Ever-Living and Self-Sustaining). Allah (AJ) doesn’t have old tablets. Allah (AJ) has books that are Hayyul Qayyum which is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. He’s Hay from the oceans of the Ever-Living. Qayyum, nobody sustains Prophet ﷺ but Allah (AJ). So, these Ulul Amr and Rabbaniyoon, they are preordained in this reality. As a result, they bring people towards this love. They’re dressed by the haqqaiq of that love. When we love them, they teach us these secrets. They teach us these realities.
If you are trying to make a value for your dunya (material world), okay, there’s lots of schools for that. But if you’re trying to make your value for Allah (AJ), you have to find that Ulul Amr, these Ulur Amr. They’ve been written and ordained for that. They teach you how to make your jism, your value of your goods in Allah’s (AJ) way, in which Allah (AJ) finds satisfaction. They teach you your honour is in the love for Prophet ﷺ. Your whole value is in the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. As a result, these ten days, Allah (AJ) pulls the soul of those lovers to be present with the one whom they love, that this is your day. Be with the one whom you love.
‘An Anasin (ra): … Faqala (Rasulullahi) ﷺ: “Anta ma’a man ahbabta.”
Narrated Anas ibn Malik (ra) that …the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “You will be with whom you love.” [Source: Muslim 7520]
Don’t Be Prideful When You Do What Allah (AJ) Ordained
As a result, every rahmah, every blessing, every dressing upon their souls. That’s why the na’at says, ‘I don’t know how I got here.’ He got where? Got to the hajj, got to witness those realities. ‘How am I receiving these realities? I didn’t do anything from my physical life like that, other than I loved agha. I loved him ﷺ more than I love myself. I placed no value on my actions. I didn’t think I had a fiqh that mattered. I don’t think I have a memorization that matters. I don’t think my salah (daily prayer) matters. I do all of it because Allah (AJ) ordered it.’
But tariqah (spiritual path) come and teach: don’t find a pride in those things because Allah (AJ), when He judges that is going to throw it all out. Because if all of that didn’t give you love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, what you’re going to do with it? What Allah’s (AJ) going to do with it? You might as well be from other nations because they didn’t have a love either. So, then this is our greatest gift. This is our greatest blessings. This is the way of all realities.
Our Entire Value in Divinely Presence is Based on Our Love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
That when you love the best of creation, you are entitled to the best of what this Creator wants to dress upon that reality. Every dress is coming from that love. You’re not going to miss anything. You’re not going to have to do anything. You basically just do your love, keep your love, keep your salawat, keep your practices. Don’t matter where you are on this Earth – as soon as you sit and make your tafakkur and contemplations, your heart and your soul will be pulled into the presence of those whom you love. If those whom you love, love Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, then all are pulled into that reality to witness and dress by that reality.
We pray that Allah (AJ) dress us from the immensity of these lights and the blessings of these lights, to grant us an understanding that our whole value in Divinely Presence, our whole value in judgment day and into eternity is based on how much we loved Prophet ﷺ. Then the one whom coming with their ‘amal and actions and memories, think to yourself, think to yourself in common sense. The one whom has love, immense love, even doesn’t know as much as you know, but has an immense love for Prophet ﷺ, what do you think is the value of the two?
One With Sincere Love of Prophet ﷺ Outvalues One Who Debates Knowledges
When the person makes his own tafakkur (contemplation) and think, ‘Oh no, Allah (AJ) is going to be so excited about my knowledges and that I can crush people in debates’ or the one who has an immense love for Prophet ﷺ and is lost in that love. You throw one out and you keep the other one. If there was two to have and only space for one, say, ‘I want only one out of you two to be with Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ who’s Malikal haqqul mubeen.’ This one or this ‘ashiqeen? ‘Ashiqeen, he can’t even pronounce, right? The ‘ashiqeen don’t even know all of these terms, right? ‘Ashiqeen, he just has ishq and love.
The other one has lots of ‘I know this. I know that. I know this. I debated 20 people, crushed them all in all my debates. I did like this. I did like this.’ What Allah (AJ) going to do with them? Common sense. Because everything of these haqqaiqs are common sense. They throw this one out. This ‘ashiqeen, oh definitely. Why? ‘Because He loves what I love and he’s lost in that love’ and Prophet’s ﷺ promise was what? ‘If you love me, I will love you more.’
So, now you have attached yourself to the ishq of Prophet ﷺ upon you. You will be always victorious because the victorious one is Prophet ﷺ because the other one may now have had nafs (ego) in it, pride in it, shaitan in it. Allah (AJ) not going to accept that. But the one who gained the love of Prophet ﷺ and received back that love is without a doubt, there’s no even judgment. Allah (AJ) says, ‘You love him. He’s with you. Take him.’
