Transcend Through Solid, Liquid and Gaseous States in the Cave of Mercy

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ ٱلْرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I seek refuge in Allah (AJ) from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ. Madad ya Sayyidi ya Rasulul Kareem, Ya Habibul ‘Azeem, unzur halana wa ishfa’lana, ‘abidona bi madadikum wa nazarekum.
Atiullah wa atiur Rasul wa Ulil amre minkum. Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.
أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنكُم… ﴿٥٩﴾ …
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Be Like the Moon to Be Dressed by the Sun of All Realities
Be like the moon and take the path of the qamar (moon). That Allah (AJ) dress us from rahmah and mercy and all our life to be facing the sun of all realities, the shams of all realities, Shams al-Arifeen (the sun of knowers), Nur al Anwar wa sirat al Asrar (the secret of all light and the light of every secret), Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
That all reality, all blessings, all emanations, all everything from Allah (AJ) emanating from that Nurul Muhammadi ﷺ (light of Prophet ﷺ). That to take a life like the qamar. That to follow that and to be dressed by that reality, to be blessed by that reality. Alhamdulillah, is the best life to have, a guided life to have.
Enter Oceans of Reality Through Teachings of the Knowers
Alhamdulillah, that in the holy month of Safar, we described that in the way of ʿarifeen (knowers), these are not necessarily the classes for ʿulama (religious scholars). But these are from the ʿarifeen, ʿarifun, ʿarif, ʿarif billah (knower of Allah). Sorry for the Arabic. I’m not Arab, but we love Arabs. InshaAllah, Allah (AJ) perfect our tongue, what could you do?
From the ʿarifeen, it means the knower of reality. That from their teachings, from their ways, from their dress, that to dress us and bless us and perfect us in the ways of reality. That we’ve been asking to go into these oceans of reality. That it takes from the dress of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That when Allah (AJ) dressing qadeem, an ancient reality of dressing the light of Prophet ﷺ. That under one of the hijabs (veils) for 12000 years, Allah (AJ) dressing the light of Prophet ﷺ.
Journey Through Safar to Be Dressed by the Secrets of the 18th Veil
In the month of Safar, that’s why we made the layout in the form of a sun. It is from the dress of Prophet ﷺ and the realities emanating from that ocean that comes out towards humanity. We pray that from the ʿarifeen and the knowers, the gnostics, the knowers of that reality, inheritors of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. They’re a ship and their ship is in the ocean of that reality, being dressed by that reality.
The holy month of Safar opens from the realities of the number 18, opens from the name Al Fattah (The Opener), the 18th name of Allah (AJ) from Dalail ul Khairat and from the 18th name of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ – Rasul ur Rahmah (The Messenger of Mercy); open from the reality of the 18 that is inscribed upon your right hand. The 1 and the upside-down ‘V’ is 18.
Serve Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, the King of Allah’s (AJ) Divine Throne
Allah (AJ) dressed us and stamped us with this reality because the highest reality is that you serve My king. That’s why Allah (AJ) asked from the kings of creation which are the prophets, the rasuls and the anbiya in Holy Qur’an that, ‘If he comes in your time, Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, that you are to listen to Prophet ﷺ.’
﴾آمَنَ الرَّسُولُ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۚ كُلٌّ آمَنَ بِاللَّـهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّن رُّسُلِهِ ۚ وَقَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ ﴿٢٨٥
2:285 – “Amanar Rasoolu bima onzila ilayhi min rabbihi wal muminoona kullun amana billahi wa malaikatihi wa kutubihi wa rusulihi, la nufarriqu bayna ahadin min rusulihi, wa qalu samina wa a’tana ghufranaka Rabbana wailayka almaseer.” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], ‘We make no distinction between any of His messengers…’. And they say, “We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination.” (The Cow, 2:285)
His risalat (prophethood) is superior. That he is Imam al Mursaleen (The Leader of the Messengers) because Allah (AJ) stamped us that you’re from the 8 and you support the 1. You support the king of creation. Allah (AJ) is the Owner of all creation and all of that is given. All that kingdom given to Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Our life is to serve Prophet ﷺ and Allah (AJ) describes on the day of judgement that 8 will hold the throne. There’s a king upon that throne and descending upon the Earth.
﴾وَالْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰ أَرْجَائِهَا ۚ وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَانِيَةٌ ﴿١٧
69:17 – “Wal Malaku ‘ala arjayeha, wa yahmilu ‘Arsha Rabbika fawqahum yawmaidhin thamaniyatun.” (Surat Haqqah)
“And the angels/ will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them.” (The Reality, 69:17)
Step into Safar, the Month of Divine Opening and Ocean of Majesty
Again, the 8 and the 1. It means that we’re stamped with that reality that Allah (AJ) dressing in the month of Safar from sifat Al-Fattah and opening. Then Prophet ﷺ described that in that second hijab (veil), then Allah (AJ) was dressing, was dressing my light from the oceans of haybah (majesty). Then awliyaullah (saints) come into our life and remind us that Allah (AJ) has no time.
So, this is a hijab and a dress in which the ocean, or the reality of Prophet ﷺ, moves into that second month. That second lunar phase, that we know it by months. But when Allah’s (AJ) dress upon Prophet’s ﷺ light is dressing that, we’re traversing into that ocean. Sifat Al-Fattah is dressing that ocean. It means Allah’s (AJ) going to open in that ocean. What Allah (AJ) going to open is going to be dressing the 18th name of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, Ar Rasul ul Rahmah.
Train the Self to Hold the Soul’s Desired Majestic Light
So, then Allah’s (AJ) opening is the oceans of rahmah (mercy), oceans of immense light, immense haybah and majestic lights; a light that doesn’t accept any crookedness and people find that month to be heavy because Allah’s (AJ) haybah (majestic power) is not something easy to be carried. The body can’t carry that. The soul wishes to be dressed by that. There lies in the conflict. The soul wants that haybah and the body is not ready.
So, like a child in a weightlifting class lifts this bar, and falls onto his chest or his neck because weightlifting can be very dangerous if you’re not supervised and you’re not strengthened. It means then that reality for us to understand that these oceans of haybah are coming. My sifat Al Fattah is open and that’s why then the 18th surah (chapter) from the way and the knowledge of the ʿarifeen (knowers) that teach us that you came through the 9th surah of Tawbah.
Run to the Cave of Mercy and Escape the World’s Oppression
No ‘Bismillah’ means tawbah (repentance). Sacrifice yourself and your bad character, you ended into Surah al-Kahf, Ashab al-Kahf (companions of the cave). That Allah (AJ) describing, ‘Take yourself into the cave and run from all the fitna (confusion).’
﴾وَإِذِ اعْتَزَلْتُمُوهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ إِلَّا اللَّـهَ فَأْوُوا إِلَى الْكَهْفِ يَنشُرْ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِهِ وَيُهَيِّئْ لَكُم مِّنْ أَمْرِكُم مِّرْفَقًا ﴿١٦
18:16 “Wa izi’ tazaltumo hum wa ma ya’buduna illAllaha fa awu ilal kahfi yanshur lakum rabbukum mir rahmatihi wa yuhayyi lakum min amrikum mirfaqa.” (Surat al Kahf)
“When ye turn away from them and the things they worship other than Allah, betake yourselves to the Cave: Your Lord will shower His mercies on you and disposes of your affair towards comfort and ease.” (The Cave)
As soon as Safar opens, my goodness, you saw everything exploding on dunya (material world). The confirmation from awliyaullah (saints) that, ‘Do you see? You see what’s coming? Run to the cave. Run to the cave of mercy.’ That Allah (AJ) described from Ashab al-Kahf, ‘They ran from the oppression of dunya, and they asked to be dressed by Allah’s (AJ) rahmah, perchance I may dress you from My rahmah.’
Then they come and they simplify so that you don’t have to keep guessing the rahmah (mercy) of Allah (AJ) is Rahmatan lil’alameen is the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ so that Nurul Muhammadi ﷺ begins to dress us.
﴾وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ ﴿١٠٧
21:107 – “Wa maa arsalnaka illa Rahmatal lil’alameen.” (Surat Al-Anbiya)
“And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad (pbuh)], except as a mercy to the worlds/creation.” (The Prophets, 21:107)
Seek Refuge in Allah (AJ) Only Through Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
They remind us that seek a life in which we want to enter the cave, enter the heart of Prophet ﷺ. There is no safety. There is no reality that even somebody tried to speak that, ‘Okay, the first thing you should always remember is Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem.’
If you don’t have the key for A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem, your Bismillah not going to work on anything because every step you’re going to be taking is already in the step of shaitan (satan), is surrounded by shayateen and the dajjal (man of deceit) that moving upon the Earth. So, then they came and they confirmed for us ‘A’uzu Billah’ means ‘seek refuge’ and Allah’s (AJ) refuge. Allah’s (AJ) refuge only with Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.

Run to Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ to Seek Allah’s (AJ) Satisfaction
So, then you don’t have to guess where to run, where to go, what to do, is run to the presence of Prophet ﷺ. As in the heavens, the qamar (moon) is always following the shams (sun). Make our lives that we always run towards the reality of Prophet ﷺ. That our eating, our drinking, our breathing, our praising, our money, our every…everything we do is in the way of Allah (AJ) and to seek Allah’s (AJ) satisfaction. Allah (AJ) confirms, “Qul in kuntum tuhibbun Allaha fattabi’uni.”
﴾قُلْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُحِبُّوْنَ اللَّـهَ فَاتَّبِعُوْنِيْ يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّـهُ … ﴿٣١
3:31 – “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allaha fattabi’uni, yuhbibkumullahu…” (Surat Ali ‘Imran)
“Say, [O Muhammad], “If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you …” (Family of Imran, 3:31)
Be from the True Followers to Attain Divine Mercy
If it’s My love that you want, then again be from the tabi’een (followers), best of tabi’een – look to the moon. It is following the light and takes a course in its life to follow the light. Then they remind us: follow the light and then Allah (AJ) will love you.
Allah (AJ) will forgive you your sins and make you to be from under Ghafoor ur-Raheem (All-Forgiving and Most Merciful). That Allah (AJ) forgive everything and dress you from His Divinely lights and mercy and place us within our stations in paradise and that coming from the holy month of Safar. Then the dress of that haybah (majesty) and the blessings in which Allah (AJ) was dressing that light, ‘Subhanal ‘Alim al Hakim.’
سُبْحَانَ الْعَلِيْمُ الْحَكِيمْ
“Subhanal ’Alim al-Hakim”
“Glory be to my Lord, the All-Knowing, the Wise”
Contemplate the Endless Praise Upon the Light of Prophet ﷺ
That’s why the diagram shows that. That when Allah (AJ) dressing from haybah and making a zikr (praise) upon that light of Prophet ﷺ and perfecting that light of Prophet ﷺ for 11000 of Allah’s (AJ) years. We have no time. But for us just to understand the majesty in which Allah (AJ)… when Allah (AJ) describing, ‘InnAllaha wa malayikatahu yusalluna ‘alan Nabiy ﷺ,’ it’s a never-ending reality.
إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ۚ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا
33:56 – “InnAllaha wa malayikatahu yusalluna ‘alan Nabiyi yaa ayyuhal lazina aamanu sallu ‘alayhi wa sallimu taslima.” (Surat Al-Ahzab)
“Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet [Muhammad (pbuh)]: O you who believe! Ask Allah (AJ) to send blessings upon him, and you too salute him with all reverence and respect.” (The Combined Forces, 33:56)
Knowledge is Problematic When You Don’t Have Wisdom
In the way of ma’rifah (gnosticism) because it’s in the way of knowing oneself and knowing the reality of Prophet ﷺ as much as Prophet ﷺ wants to disclose of that Divinely reality. “Subhana manhuwa ’Alim al Hakim” means then Sifat Al Alim (attribute of the All-Knowing). Allah’s (AJ) Divinely knowledges will begin to dress that soul that entering into that ocean. That Divinely knowledge is only beneficial if the person has hikmah (wisdom).
Ilm al laduni wa hikmati bis saliheen (heavenly knowledge and wisdom of the righteous) because Allah (AJ) give you only knowledge. You have no hikmah (wisdom) in using it. You go around and make a lot of problems. You speak the wrong things to the wrong people and to the wrong level of each person; therefore, lies all the confusion within knowledge.
Servants of Allah (AJ) Guide You According to Your Level
The hikmah (wisdom) when Allah (AJ) dresses those servants with hikmah, their hearts are alive in the presence of Prophet ﷺ, in the presence of awliyaullah (saints). They pick your signal up and they address you according to your level, to your station. They don’t tell you more than what you can handle, make you to go into confusion and to leave your religion. It’s enough in which Allah (AJ) wants you to be handling it, enough to make you want to accomplish whatever needs to be accomplished and that is from the oceans of hikmah.
Enter the Cave to Receive Divine Lights, Openings, and Guidance
When Allah (AJ) wants to give from ancient Alim where we discussed that in the understandings of abd (servant).
- Abd, they carry the ayn in their dress. That Allah (AJ) dress them from that reality of ayn. That, ‘You are dressed from My ancient knowledges in which there’s no beginning and there’s no end.
- I dip you into the oceans of the ba and bahrul qudra (ocean of power) and;
- your dal is a daleel, and a guide upon Earth.’ You be guiding and dressing from these realities.
They begin to teach that is the ocean of Safar. That when that ship begins to enter into the oceans of Safar, run to the cave, the understanding of the cave, the understanding of the hijab (veil) of haybah (majestic power). All these lights and all these openings and all these knowledges that Allah (AJ) wants to bestow upon the soul, it can only be bestowed upon the soul if the soul is in the cave, in the heart of Prophet ﷺ which is the source of all Divinely emanations. “Qaf wal Quran al-Majeed. Allamal Qur’an, Khalaqal Insan.”
﴾ق ۚ وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ ﴿١
50:1 – “Qaf, wal Quranil Majeed.” (Surat Qaf)
“Qaf. By the honored Qur’an.” (The Letter Qaf, 50:1)
﴾عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ ﴿٢﴾ خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ ﴿٣
55:2-3 – “Allamal Qur’an (2). Khalaqal Insaan (3).” (Surat Ar Rahman)
”It is He Who has taught the Qur’an. (2) He has created Mankind. (3)” (The Beneficent, 55: 2-3)
Respect the Qur’an and Hadith by Practicing, Not Just Quoting
We just talked the other night at somebody’s house. That Naqshbandiya, the adab (manner/ discipline) is that don’t talk about what you’re not doing. So, you’ll see that many verses of the Qur’an, they’re constantly repeated in our lives. Many hadith, particular hadith, they’re constantly repeated in our lives. Then you watch other people on YouTube from other trainings and other understanding. Everyday, there’s ten different hadith they’re repeating. Everyday, ten different ayahs (verses) of Holy Qur’an. Everyday, everyday, everyday different, different, different, different.
This is against the adab (manners) of tariqah (spiritual path) because they come into our lives and say that hold a respect, hold an ihtiram and a respect, one for Holy Qur’an. These are Allah’s (AJ) ancient words. They’re not created words. When you hold a respect, it means that what comes, you don’t let it to be dropped. Don’t let it to hit the ground. Implement it in your life.
Implement Qur’an and Hadith Daily, Don’t Let Words Fall
You take a verse and implement it in your life. You live by that verse. That is the inheritance of Naqshbandiyatil Aliyyah. Our father of the way, Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (Q) said, ‘I studied and memorized. I implemented eight years of Surat al-Baqarah (second chapter of Holy Qur’an).’
Then there were Sahabi (Holy Companions of Prophet ﷺ) that were known for only reciting Surat al-Ikhlas is they were teaching us the way. It’s not about a singing contest where you sing as much as you can. It’s about living that way, that taking the respect of Allah’s (AJ) holy words and say that, ‘When you say My words, make sure you’re living them. That you’re eating them, you’re drinking them, you’re breathing them. Don’t let them to come to the ground to be wasted.’ Then imagine holy hadith of Prophet ﷺ. That with one hadith, you can change your whole life, ‘Who knows himself will know his Lord.’
مَنْ عَرَفَ نَفْسَهْ فَقَدْ عَرَفَ رَبَّهُ
“Man ‘arafa nafsahu faqad ‘arafa Rabbahu”
“Who knows himself, knows his Lord.” Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
Live, Breathe, Eat and Implement the Holy Hadith Daily
Say, ‘Ya Sayyidi Ya Rasulullah that gives us an ihtiram and a love, and a respect that if we repeat your words, we live by them.’ Not a matter of repeating 5000 words and none of which we live by. That’s why they pick a particular few and they say that: ‘This is the way of tarbiyah (discipline) and cleansing, use these verses, use these holy hadith, live them, breathe them, eat them, implement them into your entire being.’ “Ittaqullah wa allimukumulllah.”
﴾وَاتَّقُوا اللَّـهَ ۖ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ اللَّـهُ ۗ وَاللَّـهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ ﴿٢٨٢…
2:282 – “…Wat taqollaha, wa yu’allimukumullahu, wallahu bi kulli shayin ‘Aleem.” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“…And Be conscious of/Fear Allah, And Allah teaches you. And Allah is the All-Knower of everything.” (The Cow, 2:282)
That Allah (AJ) says, ‘Now you have a consciousness with me. You’re conscious of my word, you keep the ihtiram and the respect of my Rasul alaihi salatu wa salaam, now I will teach you, cause you are a safeguard, and a safe, and a trusty one that you’re entrusted with our words, and with our way, and you keep its respect and you keep its limits.’
Discover Hidden Realities Through the Sun, the Moon and Divine Poetry
We pray that Allah (AJ), always, inspire within us these understandings. We talked many years ago when we came, that when they keep telling us shams wal qamar, shams wal qamar, shams wal qamar if you go back to all awliyaullah’s writings you’ll see their poetry, and their writing about the sun.
Allah (AJ) has a surah, surah al Shams. Allah (AJ) has surah al Qamar. It’s significant enough that Allah (AJ) naming entire Surah, and all the ayahs (verses) that are mentioning the reality, and all awliyaullah, their poetry, their naat (a form of praising) and their nasheeds. Al-badru ‘alayna, Al-qamar, shams.
طَلَعَ الْبَدْرُ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ ثَنِيَاتِ الْوَدَاع
وَجَبَ الشُّكْرُ عَلَيْنَا مَا دَعَا لِلّهِ دَاع
Tala’al badru ‘alayna Min thaniyatil wada’a
Wa jabash shukuru ‘alayna Ma da’aa lillahi da’a
O’ the full moon rose above us, From the valley of Wada’a
Gratitude is our obligation, as long as any caller calls to Allah
Reflect Divine Light to Rise Above the Solid Nature of This World
A reminder for us, that they come into our lives it’s such an important reality, it is the way of the path that, ‘Ya Rabbi, let me to be like a moon, and constantly keep my focus.’ And then they teach us: without that there’s no growth, with that, they can change the three states of matter. When we talked downstairs today, it reminded us, everyone has three states of matter, and the difficulty upon the earth right now is that it’s in a very solid state.
Matter has solid, liquid, gaseous which we call ethereal, like a angelic wind and a breeze. This dunya based on solid matter; block like thinking that intolerant, impatient, and every bad characteristic, and what Allah (AJ) sent was Shams at-Tabriz. What Allah (AJ) sent and the understanding is that, these moons and these guides, they reflect a very powerful light, but for you to understand it, you have to just take an example.
Learn From People of Moral Excellence to Reflect Divine Light
Their light is beyond the imagination of what we understand, they’re teaching only by example. That the light of the sun, how it affects this dunya and He says, ‘Imagine then the light of their soul.’ These moons, they reflect from what Allah (AJ) is directing their surah, their face. Where Allah (AJ) described, ‘Everything perishes but the Holy face.’
﴾كُلُّ شَيْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُ ۚ ﴿٨٨
28:88 – “…kullu shayin halikun illa wajha” (Surat Al-Qasas)
“…Everything (that exists) will perish except His holy Face…” (The Stories, 28:88)
It means then the walking moons, their whole nazar (gaze) is upon that Holy Face, what it is and its darajats (spiritual stations) is up for Allah (AJ) to explain that, Prophet ﷺ explain that. It means then imagine what type of souls these are. These are the people from Maqamul Ihsan (Station of Moral Excellence). Islam, you accept to submit that, ‘I want to be a moon, maybe now, maybe no.’ Maqamul Iman (Station of Faith) is nur (light), now we talk in the world of nur.
Be Like the Moon That Effaces Itself to Reflect the Eternal Light
That’s why if you YouTube, very few people talk about nur (light). They talk about usool (fundamental principles of Islam). Islam; ‘You do this, don’t do that, wash your finger, do that.’ Okay, you covered that. My children can do that. Maqamul Iman (Station of Faith) is that everything in the relationship of the world of light.
Then Allah (AJ) showing, ‘Look, look the sun how it reflects to the moon.’ The moon is the only planet that reflects light because it effaced itself and took a tremendous beating and reflects light. The others, they have to die, become a star. It (moon) reflects the guides who are alive. The guides who are dead, they’re stars, they lost their mass. There’s an example from each reality. Allah (AJ) said, ‘No doubt if you’re pious and you die, you have eternal light in the heavens. Everybody will see that light.’
﴾وَلَا تَقُولُوا لِمَن يُقْتَلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّـهِ أَمْوَاتٌ ۚ بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا تَشْعُرُونَ ﴿١٥٤
2:154 – “Wa la taqolo liman yuqtalu fee sabilillahi amwatun, bal ahyaon wa lakin la tash’uroon.” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“And do not say about those who are killed in the way of Allah, “They are dead.” Rather, they are alive, but you perceive [it] not.” (The Cow, 2:154)
Prophet ﷺ described his companions, alaihis salaatu salaam, so powerful, they are guiding lights. That, ‘Follow my companions they’re like stars on a dark night.’
أَصْحَابِيْ كَالنُّجُـــومْ بِأَيْهِمْ اَقْتَدَيْتِمْ اَهْتَدَيْتِمْ
“Ashabi kan Nujoom, bi ayyihim aqta daytum ahta daytum.”
“My companions are like stars. Follow any one of them and you will be guided.” Prophet Muhammad (saws)
Be Nothing, Empty Yourself to Convey the Light of the Sun
They’ll take you to your destination. A star has no mass. The one who has mass and gives light is the moon. That’s why qamar (moon) means that for you who are living, you can reflect light, but you are not a source of light. You’re not a prophet. It means take a path in being nothing. You’re nothing, you’re nothing. Then the whole school of tarbiyah (discipline) is to be nothing.
Stop thinking. Stop pretending like you know something. Be nothing, be nothing. As soon as you’re nothing, you’re able to convey that light of the sun. They turn their light on and off. You may see them when they’re off and look and see there’s nothing there. What’s the big deal? Because that’s the moon. The moon, when you look at it, it looks kind of ugly. There’s nothing on it. Like really, how does this reflect the sunlight? Maybe they should have some more bedazzling, and something like really amazing.
Follow the Way of the Moon, Dissolve the Ego and Reflect the Light
Some people think that if they spend with you, like you’re going to be doing all sorts of miraculous things if you’re a pious person. If you’re a moon, you’re supposed to be ugly and doing nothing. You’re not supposed to be showing anything. Many people would visit Mawlana Shaykh (Q) and say, ‘Okay, well, how is he the king of all saints? He’s very loving, very sweet.’
But if you sat in a majlis (association) and he’s making zikr and suhbat (discourse), you knew that the entire heavens was emanating from the heart of Mawlana Shaykh (Q). It means they’re ‘on’ and ‘off.’ They’re not ‘on’ to show off. That would be the Earth. The moon, you look at it, you’re amazed. What the heck is going on? There’s nothing, there’s nothing there except lot of holes from beating.
Keep the Company of Truthful Servants to Receive the Prophetic Light
It means then that light, it begins to reflect. When we accompany that light, they have the ability with their nazar (gaze) to begin to send a light upon us. That’s why Allah (AJ) wa kono ma’as sadiqeen.
﴾يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللّهَ وَكُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ ﴿١١٩
9:119 – “Ya ayyuhal ladheena amanoo ittaqollaha wa kono ma’as sadiqeen.” (Surat At-Tawba)
“O you who have believed, have consciousness of Allah and be with those who are truthful/Pious/sincere (in words and deed).” (The Repentance, 9:119)
Allah (AJ) ordered in Qur’an, that keep their company. When you keep their company, you keep their associations, their teachings will train, their presence will begin to melt you, will begin to burn you, will begin to aggravate you because of the reflection of the light that reflecting from their shaykh, from their shaykh, from their shaykh, from their shaykh, all the way to the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That light not coming to you. That light comes to you via reflection of the shaykh. Otherwise, then why Allah (AJ) set the order of the sun and the moon? There may be a sun on the east coast and there may be a moon on the west coast.
Know Your Station to Receive the Divine Gaze That Melts You
If you know your place and know your limit and don’t go beyond that limit, it means then you’re always in their reflection. You always know your station and you’re in that station and in that reflection. That light and that nazar (gaze) can begin to melt you. It takes you and crushes you from your solid state of everything you thought in life and, ‘I was gonna do this, I was gonna do that. I’m like this, I’m like that. My opinion count for this.’
No, no, no, here they crush until that solid becomes like a dust. Now you like it, you don’t like it, Allah (AJ) doesn’t care because now look to the whole world. That’s why Allah (AJ) said, ‘I’ll show you my sign upon the horizon and I show it to you inside yourself.’
﴾سَنُرِيهِمْ آيَاتِنَا فِي الْآفَاقِ وَفِي أَنفُسِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ ۗ… ﴿٥٣
41:53 – “Sanureehim ayatina fil afaqi wa fee anfusihim hatta yatabayyana lahum annahu alhaqqu, …” (Surat Al-Isra)
“We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth…” (The Night Journey, 41:53)
Clean Yourself Willingly Before Allah Crushes Every False Form You Hold
Clever are those who realize, ‘Ya Rabbi, it’s better that I clean myself before you clean me’ because if Allah (AJ) starts scrubbing, it may be a little bit intense. Right? Don’t you see the whole world? Aren’t they all being crushed now? They sat one day in their homes and they thought they were on top of the world. Every, every nation, they never expected what they’re going to be expecting. Their homes crushed, their lives crushed, everything bombed, everything obliterated and now even they’re in cafes and theaters and movie places, everything being destroyed and obliterated.
Isn’t that the crushing of the material world? It means if you don’t know the phase in which this world is moving, and we don’t know the difficulty in which it’s coming, and what is it that Allah (AJ) wants from us? Because once you begin to crush all the form and all that we worship, and all that sets us apart from Allah (AJ), it begin to crush.
Let the Divine Gaze Melt You From Solid to Liquid Submission
So, awliyaullah (saints) can come into our lives and through that nazar (gaze) and that reflection, they begin to melt the solid state. You feel yourself, ‘Ah, I don’t care anymore.’ Melting, melting, all my plans it doesn’t mean anything, all this doesn’t mean anything. You melt, you melt, you melt until they take you, agitate you, aggravate you, and turn you into water.
Now you see on television the water state, right? Water, if you pour it, it goes everywhere. It finds a crack and stays there. So, the same people, poor people, Allah’s (AJ) rahmah (mercy) be upon them. They had certain requirements that, ‘I don’t sleep unless I’m on this type of bed and this type of furniture and this type of life — solid state. When Allah (AJ) forced liquid state, they’re running with their children, trying to find a corner in the rain, and sleep, and something to eat, and something to drink. It’s all around us.
Surrender Before Everything is Crushed by Allah’s (AJ) Overpowering Might
Allah (AJ) is bringing sifat al-Qahhar (attribute of The Subduer) saying, ‘You want to clean them. Don’t clean them. I’m cleaning all of the Earth. I’m gonna take everything solid because Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done.’ Sifat al Qahhar, when Allah (AJ) brings sifat al-Qahhar, everything standing will be crushed. The compactor – have you seen the compactor that crushes a car (crushing voice)?
Everything is crushed because Allah’s (AJ) ‘Azimat (greatness) is coming; not by crazy people and terrorists because it’s happening on all sides from all people. There are Buddhists killing people. I thought they don’t harm a worm. Everybody crazy and everybody under zulumat and oppression. This is the big crushing. As it crushes, crushes, crushes, it leaves a stream of liquid because everything been crushed. You don’t care no more, whatever, ‘Just let me find a place to sleep.’
Lose Your Will, Melt Into Light, and Rise Through Divine Presence
It means by accompanying them, the light begins to change that servant and begin to take them into a liquid state. Where they don’t think, don’t want. If you take out all of those thinking and all those wanting, all those preconceived notions that block you from patience because you’re perceiving something should be a certain way. When those are gone, you’re like liquid. Wherever they throw you, ‘Eh, alhamdulillah, I’m there.’
They pick you up, throw you here, ‘Alhamdulillah, I’m there.’ You’re a liquid state and see the Earth now is in a liquid state. Then accompany them more and through that nazar (gaze), that reflection that Allah (AJ) showing from the moon, they can take from a liquid state to a gaseous state with a ethereal state. They apply a little bit more power, a little bit more energy and you find yourself in a sensation through your soul.
Move From Solid to Liquid to Gaseous State to Emanate Light
It means their ability and their understanding is immediately they look, their heart is lit. As soon as their shaykh releases an energy, the ethereal state and the gaseous state of the guide comes out. It begins to immediately emanate a light and an energy where people feel that it’s not from them. It’s from the shaykh. They take us to a gaseous state where they apply a little bit more heat until you’re liquid character. Immediately, you feel the rise.
You feel your soul. You feel everything to be latif and of a subtle nature. Only at that time, then they can begin to open the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and the ruhaniyat Nabi ﷺ (Prophet’s ﷺ spirituality) where you begin to see what Allah (AJ) wants you to see. You hear what Allah (AJ) want you to hear. That is the reality of the holy hadith that, ‘Approach me through voluntary worship.’ It means all of this is voluntary.
Stay Quiet, Submit, and Rise to Be Dressed by Divine Love
Taking a path towards realities to be dressed by these realities. Then Allah (AJ) describe what going to open to the power of the soul, hear what people don’t hear, see what people don’t see.
عَنْ أَبِيِ هُرَيْرَةِ رَضِّيَّ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ : إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَىٰ قَالَ:”…وَلَا يَزَالُ عَبْدِي يَتَقَرَّبُ إلَيَّ بِالنَّوَافِلِ حَتَّى أُحِبَّهُ، فَإِذَا أَحْبَبْتُهُ كُنْت سَمْعَهُ الَّذِي يَسْمَعُ بِهِ، وَبَصَرَهُ الَّذِي يُبْصِرُ بِهِ،…” [حَدِيثْ اَلْقُدْسِي – صَحِيحْ الْبُخَارِي – رقم:٦٥٠٢]
‘An Abi Hurairah (ra) qala, Qala Rasulullahi ﷺ : InnAllaha ta’ala qala: “ …, wa la yazaalu ‘Abdi yataqarrabu ilayya bin nawafile hatta ahebahu, fa idha ahbabtuhu kunta Sam’ahul ladhi yasma’u behi, wa Basarahul ladhi yubsiru behi, …” [Hadith Qudsi, Sahih al Bukhari, Raqam: 6502)
Narrated by Abu Hurairah (ra) that: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that: Allah the Almighty said: “…My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary acts of worship so that I shall love him. When I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees…” [Holy Hadith, Authentic by al-Bukhari, # 6502]
We pray that Allah (AJ) grant us more and more patience, more and more understanding. Everything here is about that station and that reality. Everything hear is about listening, about following, about submitting the self and staying quiet. As much as you can stay quiet and be patient, as much as that energy can dress you. As much as you don’t stay quiet, then they have to repeat the test another time. They can repeat that for 99 years, it doesn’t matter. But it matters if we want to rise and we want to get to the next level, then they are waiting patiently to take us to that level.
