The Eternal Wardrobe: Your Soul’s Frequency Woven with Threads of Love
From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi.
A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem

I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the rejected one
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ.
Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Allah’s (AJ) Secret is the Love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
Always a reminder for myself ana abdukal ‘ajeezu, dayeefu, miskinu, zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the Grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence. That alhamdulillah Allah (AJ) destined for us this immense blessings; this path of ishq (love) and muhabbat for Allah’s (AJ) Divinely Presence. Allah’s (AJ) secret is the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. We talked Saturday but we don’t know if it absorbed for myself and for others listening. “Jin say tum ko ishq hay” in one of the na’at sharif (prophetic praising) and all of these nasheeds (songs of praise) and na’at these are the kalaam ul awliya (words of saints) that give us realities.
Guftugu ki ibteda, Kar tu lafz tol kar
* Dil sabhi ka jeet lay, Meethay bol bol kar
(Jin say tujh ko ishq hay) x2
(Un kay geet gaye jaa) x2
Start the conversation by weighing your words carefully, Win everyone’s heart by speaking sweet words, Keep singing the songs of the ones whom you love.
Worldly People Judge You Based on Your Goods, Allah (AJ) Judges Quality of Light of Your Soul
They [awliya (saints)] are not singing songs but they are giving Divinely praisings and in every word and every breath are immense oceans of realities. That if Allah (AJ) open for them, one word enough to finish the entire created universe. In dunya (material world) they have material people value you based on your material goods and we have this in Farsi ‘Jins.’ ‘Jins’ are your ‘goods.’ We say ‘bad jins’ means the person’s got ‘bad goods’ but it means also the nature of people. Because material people judge you based on your goods but Allah (AJ) judges based on the quality of the light of the soul. Not based on the ‘aqidah (belief). Allah (AJ) judges based on the quality of the light of the soul. So the best of ‘aqidah – the best of beliefs should be making your light to be beatific. So it works that way, not the other way.
It means Allah (AJ) wants for us beatific lights, beatific achievements with our soul and this is jins – these are your goods. This is what makes you. Allah (AJ) is giving us through these kalaam al awliya – the words of awliya and saints and pious ‘ashiqeen, lovers of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ that all the material world is trying to judge you, make you feel either good or bad based on your goods. If you have goods, they try to promote you and inflate you. If you have no goods, they try to make you to be demeaned and lower you that, ‘You don’t have the goods we have.’ This is the nature of dunya.
Your Jins/Value is Based on the Love of Prophet ﷺ
Then Allah (AJ) gives to us a reminder, “Jin say tum ko ishq hay” that simplifies everything in your life because the path should be simple, it’s not hard. We just give very deep realities. The path is very simple. So simple it came to this one line, “Jin say tum ko ishq hay.” It means that your value, your goods is only going to be based on the ishq and muhabbat (love) of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ because that na’at sharif is all about Prophet ﷺ. So our life is based on that. If we truly understood it, it answers everything for us.
Don’t Take a Path Asking to Be Judged by Allah (AJ), Take a Path of Love
Zahiri (external understanding), they like to think about the intricacies of Divine Law and where you could go wrong as if there is a huge court going over every infraction. What did Prophet ﷺ describe to Sayyidatina ‘Aisha (as)? ‘Don’t ask Allah (A) to judge you.’
“.عَنْ اَلسَّيِّدَة عَائِشَةَ عَلّيِهِ السّلاَم، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، قَالَ :” لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ يُحَاسَبُ إِلَّا هَلَكَ قُلْتُ
[صحيح مسلم ٥٢٥٤]
‘An As Sayyidah ‘Ayesha (as), ‘anin Nabi ﷺ, Qala: “Laysa ahadun yuhasabu illa halaka qultu.”
Narrated by Sayyidah ‘Ayesha (as), the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “Anyone who ask for his hisaab (accounting), is doomed.” [Sahih Muslim 5254]
It means if you’re going the route of Allah (AJ) judging, you say, ‘No, no I want my time in a court because I’m going to prove all these things I did right.’ Prophet ﷺ warned, ‘Don’t go that route.’ That don’t, don’t go the route of thinking Allah (AJ) that you be safe in Allah’s (AJ) judgment. So other awliya came into our lives and described: ‘No, you should go the route of ishq and love and muhabbat, good deeds, good thoughts, good actions.’
The Superiority of Those Who Took a Path of Divine Love Compared to Other Ways
Then you find the daleel (proof) in these na’at, “Jin say tum ko ishq hay.” It means it summarizes everything. If you wiped three wipes on your khuff (leather socks) or you wiped two wipes on your khuff, did it change your jins and your ishq? That’s why then in the life of awliyaullah (saints) there’s so many stories of each one traveling, ‘I came across those whom prayed a lot, I didn’t find what I was looking for. I came across those who fast a lot, I didn’t find what I was looking for. I came across those whom fought a lot, they thought their way was to fight in Islam, I didn’t find what I was looking for. But I came across ‘ashiqiyoon (lovers) and I sat with them,’ because the highest levels of reality and the highest level of tarbiyah (discipline) is going to be based on this reality.
It’s not the wild ones, it’s the most disciplined ones because they do what they do out of Divine love. The fear they have is the love that they should disappoint Allah (AJ) and disappoint Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ but at the same time they’re approaching with immense love and ishq and humility. That, ‘I’m nothing, I’m not claiming to be anything, I’m no one, I’m coming through Your door of love. If I do anything wrong judge me through love.’ So means ‘lift me back up, pat me down, clean me and set me back on my path.’
Allah (AJ) will Judge You Based on the Path You Choose
As a result, these awliya whom have guided us say, ‘If you live like that, Allah (AJ) will judge you by that.’ But if you live by the hammer then Allah (AJ) will judge you by a hammer. If you live by the sword, Allah (AJ) will judge you by the sword. Live by the ishq and muhabbat of Divinely Presence and that Allah (AJ) to judge you by that ishq and muhabbat.
By Following the Restrictions of Allah (AJ) We’re Encouraged Towards His Love
By keeping the restrictions that Allah (AJ) has placed upon us, you can find that it encourages you to Divinely love. So people will say, ’Oh does that mean like you don’t pray?’ Say, ‘No, actually means we pray a lot more and we pray with a stronger consciousness.’ We’re not praying to impress people but we pray out of a love and a nearness. When we meditate, it’s out of a love and nearness. We described before that why do you cover, why do you keep your hat, why do you have a beard? Is it because the fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence) tells you to? Or is it that you feel a sense of love for Prophet ﷺ and that you’re trying to gain his holy nazar (gaze) upon your soul?
Only The Love of Prophet ﷺ Changes Your Lights
So, means everything came back to these awliya that, “Jin say tum ko ishq hay.” Don’t argue with us about this and that and you’re right, you’re wrong and the jurisprudence of this and jurisprudence of that. But Allah (AJ) looking and summarize the whole thing, ‘Look I’m going to look to your jins.’ You think you got it or you don’t get it? You can bring all the text you want and all the law books you want, it’s not going to make a difference for you if it didn’t change your jins, if it didn’t make the color of your light, the frequency of your light and the beatific nature of your light to change. This is what the awliya are telling us, “Jin say tum ko ishq hay.” Only your love for Prophet ﷺ will change your jins, will change your goods, will change your entire being, your DNA and the hue and the color of your light. Not your ‘aqel (intellect) and what you memorize, not whether it was 14 days or 12 days or 3 days that you can wear a khuff. These are not going to change your lights.
What’s going to change your light is the inner core of your practices, your love, your ishq with keeping the discipline of your physicality. Because your physicality can’t be corrupt – that’s a given. But if you want to reach to where Allah (AJ) wants the servant to reach then these awliya are reminding then this should all be about your goods, your light and your soul, how are you improving it. Common-sense would tell you that you have certain rules for your physicality, focus on that so that it’s in discipline but that’s not going to get you your award.
Allah (AJ) is A Gem Hidden in the Reality of Prophet ﷺ
We said before you shine that donkey as much as you want, you clean it, polish its nails, wash everywhere, perfume it and try to put a crown on it, it’s still a donkey; if people understand that expression. Right? The physicality is going into the dirt and becomes a corpse in the dirt. But what Allah (AJ) say, ‘All that time and you didn’t focus on your soul, you didn’t understand that your salawats (praises upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) changes your light and that I’m a Hidden Gem and I was hidden in the reality of Prophet ﷺ, you didn’t find Me?’ So then you’re not one of those whom their jins was changed by the ishq of hay.
Qala Rasulallahi ﷺ, Qala Allah (AJ): “Kuntu kanzan makhfiyya, fa ahbabtu an a’rafa, fa khalaqtu khalqan, fa ‘arraftahum bi fa ‘arafonee.” [Hadith al Qudsi – Behar al Anwar, Al ‘Alama al Majlisi, Juz’ 84, Safha 199]
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, that Allah (AJ) said: “I was a hidden Treasure then I desired to be known, so I created a creation to which I made Myself known; then they knew Me.” [Holy Hadith – Bihar al Anwar, by Al ‘Alama al Majlisi, Volume 84, Page 199]
What Makes Something Precious is It’s Limited Quantity
That’s what changes the color of your light, the value of your light. Like we said before there are diamonds and rubies and all types of precious stones. What makes them precious? If you remember in the month of Safar, what makes something precious? They’re limited. If you opened your door and you found in your backyard diamonds were everywhere, would we be having this discussion of diamonds being precious? Or no, they would be like roaches and it’s just everywhere? What makes something precious is that it’s in limited quantity. Right? ‘None know it except the people of tafakkur (contemplation).’ We said in the month of Surat Al-Kahf when we were going over Surat Al-Kahf when Allah (AJ) was describing, ‘None know it’ the verse keeps coming, ‘None will know this reality except the people of tafakkur.’
39:42 – “…Inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqawmai yatafakkarroon.” (Surat Az-Zumar)
“Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought/contemplate” (The Troops, 39:42)
So means what? These are exceptional people. The people of tafakkur are not everywhere but they’re in everything. Every walk of life there’s somebody of tafakkur in which they’re hidden servants of Allah (AJ) and that they’re exceptional. They’re not the common because Allah (AJ) said, ‘Nobody knows it except…’ So He gave the clause that these are exceptional people because that means except those who know it and whom been given the gift from Allah (AJ).
Discipline Your Physicality But Keep the Focus Upon Your Soul
So means then this is an immense gift. That when Allah (AJ) grants the servant to take a path of the inner reality. They kept their donkey clean, they don’t have a dirty donkey, that’s again fasiq (one who violates Islamic law), it becomes the fake argument. As soon as you want to argue about purifying your light they say, ‘Oh you keep your donkey you… dirty, it means you don’t pray, you don’t wash?’ Say, ‘Are you crazy? What are you talking about?’ You can’t reach anything with it dirty, it’s disciplined. Disciplining your donkey, keeping the donkey clean is different than over-polishing and crowning your donkey.
They understood that the focus was on the rider and the soul and your jins – your value, your goods; what’s your goods in Allah’s (AJ) eyes? Your property, your family, your homes and cars, your licenses and ijazahs (permissions), it mean anything to Allah (AJ)? Or your soul and the light in which your soul emanates? Did the soul reach towards the Presence of Allah’s (AJ) Divinely Presence which is in reality the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ? Because “La ilaha illAllah” can only be found in “Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ.” It is reality.
“La ilaha illallahu Muhammadun Rasulallah”
“There is no deity but Allah, Prophet Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.”
What Determines Your Real Value in Allah’s (AJ) Divinely Presence?
So means all these realities is summarizing, Allah’s (AJ) describing for us, ‘Your goods, your value is based on the love of him ﷺ,’ that’s it, very simple path. Your value to Allah (AJ) is based on your ishq and love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. So anyone who wants to say they have a value in Allah’s (AJ) Presence because everyone thinks they have a value, but alhamdulillah these awliya come and give us the hint that your real value is your love and the nearness and dearness of your light. As a result of that dearness, the colors and the beatific lights in which it emanates from.
We pray that Allah (AJ) give us a deep understanding. Meditate and contemplate how many of these kalaam and na’at sharif and these recitations in which they recite about the beatific lights of Nabi Ahmad ﷺ and seeing the beatific hue and the colors of souls that are moving like the gems of paradise, moving all about that reality. We pray that Allah (AJ) dress us from these realities, bless us from these realities by the intercession of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
