Slow Down, Train Your Divinely Senses to Find What Allah (AJ) Wants From You

I seek refuge in Allah (AJ) from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ.
Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.

“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Jumadal Thani is a Blessed Month Honouring Many Holy Souls
Alhamdulillah, from this way of ma’rifah (gnosticism) and this way towards the ishq and the love of Allah (AJ) which manifests in the following of the way of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That this is an immense reality of love. The 5th of Jumadal Thani is the Urs Mubarak of Sayyidina Jalaluddin Rumi (Q), the 3rd of Sayyidatina Fatima tul Zahra (as), on the 3rd of Jumadal Thani, very very blessed month. So, the 10th is Sayyidina Baba Samasi (Q) from the Naqshbandi shajarah (spiritual lineage). Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as) on the 22nd Jumadal Thani and the holy birth of Sayyidatina Fatima tul Zahra (as) on the 20th of Jumadal Thani.
InshaAllah, so immense blessings in this holy month. From the knowledge of awliyaullah (saints), this is the month of qamar (moon). In the realities that it holds from the secret of 54. The 54th surah (chapter) of Holy Qur’an which is Qamar and the way and the reality of “shamsi wal qamar” (sun and the moon) in which Allah (AJ) is continuously giving us signs upon the horizon and then signs within ourself.
41:53 – “Sanureehim ayatina fil afaqi wa fee anfusihim hatta yatabayyana lahum annahu alhaqqu…” (Surat Al-Fussilat)
“We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth…” (Explained in Detail, 41:53)
We Need Guidance Like the Moon Needs the Sun
The signs upon the horizon are much easier to understand than the horizon, than the signs within ourself because the self is so preoccupied in dunya (material world) and so distracted in dunya that Allah (AJ) sends the signs of perfection upon the horizon. That Allah (AJ) is directing us continuously through Holy Qur’an “Shamsi wal qamar, shamsi wal qamar,” continuously mentioning the sun and the moon.
55:5 – “Ash Shamsu wal Qamaru bihusban.” (Surat Ar-Rahman)
“The sun and the moon [move] on their fixed courses by precise calculation.” (The Beneficent, 55:5)
Shams (sun) always mentioned first and the reality that we’ve talked many times is that the sun represents eternity. It takes the premier position and that, that which is eternal. It is the reality of a star. That it carries no mass and qamar (moon) is then the reality of the planet and mass in our life within this world of mass and form. It describes that how the nature of our reality, look to the skies and you see the reality of guidance because people want to debate and argue that, ‘There’s no need to guide. There’s no need to be guided that you can follow your own path.’ That’s not correct because that’s like a shooting star that’s just going somewhere. We don’t know where it’s going. But true guidance and the system of Allah’s (AJ) guidance is shown through the sun and the moon. As a result of that guidance, the inhabitants of Earth have a very tranquil life.
Every Movement of the Sun and Moon are on a Precise Course
Imagine that if the sun took its own orbit and decided that it wanted to come closer or farther. It means everything is on a very precise course and Allah (AJ) described like an orbit because these are like fulks and ships that are moving a course. Had the sun decided one day it wants to come a little bit closer, inhabitants of Earth would be burned and it decided another day, ‘I want to go a little bit farther,’ then the inhabitants of Earth would be frozen. We see that the power of the moon upon the Earth and what they call lunation. When the energy of the moon comes close to the Earth, it can raise the tides of the ocean.
The tajalli (manifestation) of the moon, when it sends its light upon the Earth, make people and inhabitants of Earth to become what they call lunatic because they can’t handle and carry the energy that being transmitted and reflected from the moon upon the inhabitants of the Earth and many realities that we always talk about. That all vegetation and everything that we eat is a result of moonlight. The moon is sending a light and these vegetations are being raised. The sun enters in and sweetens the vegetation, the fruits and the crops. It means there’s a tremendous reality that Allah (AJ) shows upon the horizon because Allah (AJ) wants His creation to be known.
Everything Praises, But None Hear It Except the People of Tafakkur
You don’t simplify just by saying, ‘It’s in Allah’s (AJ) Hands.’ That’s not your business. No, Allah (AJ)…this is a disrespect to the Divinely Presence that, ‘I put this there not as a game, not as a gesture, not as playing but that you would see My signs.’ Again, this is the subject that been continuously talked about. These circles of zikr (Divine remembrance) and these ways of tariqah (spiritual path) are known as the way of tafakkiroon (people of contemplation).
So, when Allah (AJ)…say, ‘Oh Shaykh, please tell us in Qur’an where is this mentioned?’ It’s mentioned throughout Qur’an, but you have to have eyes to see and ears to hear. When Allah (AJ) is describing, ‘None will know except My people of tafakkur. Everything is praising. Everything is “Yusabbihu wa bihamdih,” but none will hear it’.
17:44 – “Tusabbihu lahus samawatus sab’u wal ardu wa man fee hinna wa in min shayin illa yusabbihu bihamdihi wa lakin la tafqahoona tasbeehahum innahu kana haleeman ghafoora.” (Surat Al-Isra)
“The seven heavens and the earth and whatever is in them exalt [praises] Him. And there is not a thing except that it exalts [Allah] by His praise, but you do not understand their [way of] exalting. Indeed, He is ever Forbearing and Forgiving.” (The Night Journey 17:44)
Exceptional Souls are Those Allah (AJ) Has Destined to Be Trained
So, it means that the norm of creation will never understand these realities nor will they accept it, nor will they acknowledge it because Allah (AJ) has already set the guideline that, ‘Everything is praising Me, but none will hear it but except the exceptional’ because when Allah (AJ) is saying ‘except,’ it means He’s drawing now a class and a category of creation whom they are exceptional. These are people whom are the tafakkur (contemplation). The people of tafakkur, they can hear the praise and each to their darajat (spiritual ranks) upon what Allah (AJ) gives to them. They hear the praise of the rocks, the stones, the birds, the creatures, whatever wants them to hear because Allah’s (AJ) saying, ‘None can hear it except the people of tafakkur’.
It means then this category of tafakkiroon whom the…Allah (AJ) is continuously making reference to these ‘except’ what we would call exceptional people. It’s exceptional souls whom Allah (AJ) has destined them to be trained. This way of zikr (Divine remembrance), this way of muraqabah (spiritual connection) and contemplation is an entire science. That sit, meditate. Do all the fard (obligatory). Do everything that Allah (AJ) made mandatory, but your reward is not in that. That, you do because Allah (AJ) ordered you to do it, but those whom sit out of their love, that they did what was mandatory and they do continuously much more than what is mandatory, but they have an ishq and love. As a result of their love and muhabbat, they continuously strive to do more. They sit and they want to understand their character. They want to understand the badness within themselves. They’re not interested in pointing out the badness to people. They want to know the badness within themselves. This is now the first sign of the people of tafakkur.
Holy Qur’an is a Guidance for Tafakkiroon
So, when you go to the masjid and the person wants to tell you where your feet are standing, he’s not from people of tafakkur (contemplation) because that’s not the character to worry about where somebody else is standing. You have to tremble at where you’re standing. What are your feet doing? Where are they taking you? Who do you think that you’re fooling?
So, the one whom is tafakkiroon and the beginning of their characteristics is they have fear of Allah (AJ), for their grave, themselves and their reality. They begin to apply that onto everything they do. What did then Allah (AJ) describe the beginning of Qur’an is, is what? It’s for tafakkiroon. The Qur’an is their guidance and is a dress and a pulling of light upon them that pulls them into their reality. It means, “Alif, Laam, Meem. Dhaalikal kitaabu laa rayba feeh”.
2:1-2 – “Alif, Laam, Meem. (1) Dhaalikal kitaabu laa rayba feeh, hudal lil muttaqeen. (2)” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“Alif, Lam, Meem. This is the Book that there is no doubt/crookedness in it, it’s a guidance for pious people who are conscious of Allah.” (The Cow, 2:1-2)
Muttaqeen are Trained to Discipline All Their Senses
So, there’s a secret in this alif-laam-meem and that, ‘Verily this book there’s no crookedness.’ “Wa hudanal muttaqeen” and it’s a guidance for muttaqeen (those with high level of consciousness). Other people say, ‘No, we’re guided by Qur’an.’ Yes, that’s not the level in which Allah (AJ) is talking about. That’s furqan (book of right and wrong). Their understanding right and wrong and debating right and wrong and bad character and you know, this punishment, that punishment. But “Hudanal muttaqeen” is something different. It’s a guidance from Allah (AJ) in which they trained with awliya (saints) to be muttaqeen. That their senses and all five senses have to come under discipline.
They have to have a discipline for their hearing. They have to have a discipline for their seeing. They have to have a discipline for their breathing. They have to have a discipline for their hawas and their desires. They have to have a discipline for their taste and all their breath, their entire reality. As a result, Allah (AJ) inspires these servants who are tafakkiroon and make tafakkur and contemplation. They’re enrolled in an entire academy of these realities. It’s not just every day, anywhere you go and these categories are going to be dressing people because they give these titles cheaply to people. Someone somewhere in Islamic center says, ‘We’re all that. We’re all these people. We’re all tafakkiroon as soon as you sit for two seconds and recite Qur’an.’ No, no, this is an entire academy of realities.
Majority of Society Challenges Heavenly Warnings and Destroy Themselves
When Allah (AJ) is negating and saying, ‘None, none know it.’ Already now 98%, 99% of society has now been ruled out by Allah (AJ) except, exceptional whom Allah (AJ) is going to grant a gift of guidance and puts within their heart: stop and slow down. That’s why when you read all the stories of the prophets and messengers coming to people and warning about azaab (punishment) of Allah (AJ). You know, the character of people was, ‘Well, bring it on, bring it. If what you say is true, let it to happen.’
You read with astonishment that what kind of people like that to talk to the messengers of Allah (AJ) and say, ‘No, bring it.’ That they hasten and they rush to their own destruction. You see that characteristic in dunya (material world) 100% now. 99.99% is that everyone wants to quickly destroy themselves. 100 miles an hour into the grave as if they they can’t make it even faster with everything they choose and everything they want to do and all the difficulties upon this Earth.
Even Sayyidina Musa (as) Learned to Slowed Down With Divine Teachings
Allah’s (AJ) rahmah and immense mercy, if He inspires the servants ‘Slow down’, slow down. You’re missing everything. You’re going too fast.’ We described again in the month of Surah Al-Kahf and the power of 18, the second lunar month, that Sayyidina Musa (as) wanted a knowledge. Allah (AJ) sent him to ‘Just one of My servants’. Who had the characteristics of what? ‘He attained a rahmah (mercy) and then we taught him ilm e laduni (Divinely knowledge)’.
18:65 – “Fawajada ‘abdan min ‘ibadinaa ataynahu rahmatan min ‘indina wa ‘allamnahu mil ladunna ‘ilma.” (Surat Al-Kahf)
“So they found one of Our servant from among Our servants, on whom We had bestowed Mercy from Ourselves and whom We had taught [unseen/heavenly] knowledge from Our own Presence…” (The Cave, 18:65)
Allah’s (AJ) Servants Attained a Mercy in the Presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
Now everybody want to go get knowledge and hope they’ll be merciful. It doesn’t work that way. As soon as they get a knowledge, they have no tazkiyah (purification), no cleaning and they become harsh and angry, belligerent and violent. But Allah’s (AJ) servants, they’re described differently. They attained a rahmah. They were trained to reach to a mercy and rahmah.
Allah’s (AJ) greatest rahmah is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It means that they attained a presence in the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That their ruhani (spirituality) in the presence of the ruhani an Nabi ﷺ. As a result, that rahmah dresses them. That rahmah trains them in tarbiyah (discipline) and kholoq (character) in which Allah (AJ) gives the magnificent, “Khuluqal ‘azheem”. ‘You’re of a magnificent character’.
68:4 – “Wa innaka la’ala khuluqin ‘azheem.” (Surat Al-Qalam)
“Truly, You (O Muhammad!) are of a magnificent character.” (The Pen, 68:4)
Isolate Yourself From Time to Time to Stay Away From Others’ Bad Characters
Because this character never expires and the reality of Prophet ﷺ is Hayyul Qayyum (The Ever-Living and Self-Sustaining), is eternal – is daayim. As a result, these awliyaullah (saints) achieved these realities. They’re trained under the tarbiyah (discipline) of this reality to perfect their character, perfect their kholoq, protect…perfect their hearing, their seeing, their breathing, their sense of touch, their qadam and the feet and the path in which they move. As a result, there is a continuous discipline and that they have a taqwa (consciousness) upon all their senses. We described that before many times. That if you take yourself everywhere and you’re capable of hearing everything and you don’t try to isolate yourself from creation, khalq, you’re not going to have good kholoq. If you’re one who keeps yourself amongst creation all the time, there’s no way to have good character because they’re all backbiting, all bad talking, every type of gossip. How are you going to reach a taqwa within your hearing?
That’s why then they accompany awliya (saints) and Allah (AJ) begin to train them, ‘Isolate yourself’. ‘Asr (afternoon) time, go home. Sit and meditate, isolate. Don’t have to be the one at every occasion and every location and every event. Keep yourself more hidden. Your ears can never reach a purity and taqwa if they’re continuously bombarded by people’s gossips and talks and everything that you have to hear, every music and every sound that the person wants to listen to. Every bad vibration and bad sound is all meant to destroy the taqwa of their hearing.
Allah (AJ) is Closer to Us Than Our Jugular Vein (Holy Qur’an, 50:16)
So, how these people think, ‘Oh, they’re muttaqeen.’ Because they gave themself a title. No, but awliya (saints) will sit with awliya and they’ll explain what these titles are. That for a servant to be muttaqeen (those with high level of consciousness), Allah (AJ) gave them a certificate and taqwa on their hearing. As a result of the cleanliness of their hearing and in the training of their hearing, they begin to hear their consciousness.
They hear what the soul is being inspiring for them. That Allah (AJ) never leaves the servant alone. When Allah (AJ) says, ‘I’m closer to you than your jugular vein,’ your own consciousness that’s in Divinely Presence is closer to you than your throat, your jugular vein, but do you have ears to hear Him?
50:16 – “…wa Nahnu aqrabu ilaihi min hablil wareed.” (Surat Qaf)
“…and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein.” (The Letter Qaf, 50:16)
Your True Struggle, Jihad al-Akbar, is the Fight Against Your Inner Self
So, people want to say they use that verse, ‘Oh, Allah’s (AJ) closer to you. You don’t need guidance.’ They use that as their daleel (proof). No, actually you got it all wrong. Allah (AJ) is so close to you, you’re going to be punished why you can’t hear Him. Because He didn’t say, ‘I’m far from you.’ He said, ‘I’m right here. Why you don’t hear Me?’ Muttaqeen can. When they train, they cut everything out and they’re trained to clean their ears. They’re trained to isolate. They’re trained to clean their heart and not even stop hearing the outside, but they start to fight not to hear even the whispering because once you, you rid yourself of physical devils whom continuously want to contaminate your ears, well, that means that you’re now prepared for battle.
You’ve merely only began to sharpen your sword because the true battle is now when you sit and isolate yourself from the waswas (whispering) trying to come into your ears and for every unseen devil that enters into your premises, in your environment that continuously wants to whisper within your ears to affect your heart, to affect your mind and your gossip. You sit and then they begin to talk to you. You come out angry at people. You think this is from Allah (AJ)? No, this from shaitan (satan). So, then they have to go again deeper in their fight and this is Jihad al-Akbar (greatest struggle) in which Prophet ﷺ described that, ‘The inner fight is the true struggle.’
“An Jabiru (as) qala, ‘qadema ‘ala Rasulullahi ﷺ qawmun ghazatun. Faqalan Nabiyu ﷺ: “Qademtum khaira maqdamin min jihadil Asghar ilal Jihadil Akbar.”
Qeela “wa ma al Jihadil Akbar?” Qala ﷺ : “Mujahidatul ‘abdi hawahu.” [ Bayhaqi fi Kitab Az Zuhdil Kabir 373]
Jabir (as) narrated: ‘Some warriors came to the Holy Prophet. The Prophet (Muhammad) (pbuh) said to them, “Welcome back from the minor Jihad/Struggle to the greater Struggle.”
It was asked, ‘What is the greater struggle Oh Prophet of Allah (Pbuh)?”
The Prophet (pbuh) replied: “it is the servant’s fight/struggle against his own Ego/worldly desires.”
[Bayhaqi in book of ‘The Great Asceticism 373]
Keep the Company of Truthful Servants (Holy Qur’an, 9:119)
Then they’re trained with their wazifas (spiritual practices) and recitations and all that Allah (AJ) puts upon them of realities. Now fight against that inner energy that’s coming to corrupt you. Then what Allah (AJ)? “Ittaqollah”, again, because you’re trying to have taqwa, “Wa kono ma’as sadiqeen”.
9:119 – “Ya ayyuhal ladheena amanoo ittaqollaha wa kono ma’as sadiqeen.” (Surat At-Tawba)
“O you who have believed, have consciousness of Allah and be with those who are truthful/Pious/sincere (in words and deed).” (The Repentance, 9:119)
‘Keep the company of truthful servants’. Is that Allah (AJ) only talking about physical or Allah (AJ) doesn’t care about physical? But Allah (AJ) is training for us that where’s your…keeping the sadiqeen (truthful). Allah (AJ) cares for the spiritual. So, you must have had a way and been trained to keep the company of truthful servants whom their light is free. Don’t deem them to be dead, they’re very much alive.
We Don’t Realize Prophet ﷺ is in Front of Us During Salah
Their arwah (soul) is alive. When Allah (AJ) says, ‘If you have a taqwa and you trained on closing your eyes,’ you don’t need to see this dunya (material world), closing the ears and all the whisperings that are coming. Then they start to train in the world of malakut (heavenly realm) – how to keep the company of the righteous servants of Allah (AJ). That is the reality of salah (daily prayer). It means if you slow down your life and begin to understand that, even the words you say in salah is all from this reality of muttaqeen (those with high level of consciousness). “Assalamu ‘alayk ayyuhan Nabi”.
“All the best compliments and the prayers/praising and the pure/good things are for Allah. Peace and Blessings be upon you, O’ Prophet ﷺ! Peace be on us and on the righteous servants of Allah. I testify that there is no deity but Allah (AJ), and I testify that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the servant and Messenger of Allah (AJ).”
While you’re still attahiyat (sitting on knees during prayer) you have not closed, you have not closed the salah, you’re saying ‘Assalamu ‘alayka ayyuhan Nabi ﷺ’. It means he’s in front of you. Why you don’t see Prophet ﷺ and the arwah and the light of Prophet ﷺ right in front of you? “Wa Assalamu ‘alaykum ‘Ibadulllahis saliheen” where they’re all in front of you. Allah (AJ) making your salah, ‘Give them salaams, tashahhud and give your shahadah (testimony of faith) to Prophet ﷺ.’ So, that he bears witness that you accept the Oneness of Allah (AJ) and the risalat (prophecy) of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
The Gardens of Paradise are the Circles of Zikr
It’s all there, but they’re not reaching to be muttaqeen (those with high level of consciousness). They’re going too fast in this world to ever even understand tafakkiroon and tafakkur. So, then these associations is the way of tafakkur and contemplation that Allah (AJ) destined in their soul. Slow down. You’re going too fast into your grave and into the abode of punishment. As a result of slowing their life, then Allah (AJ) began to guide them that: accompany those. When you don’t know something in life, ask the people of zikrullah (remembrance of Allah (AJ)), ask the people of zikrullah.
Who are the people of zikrullah? The same people in which Prophet ﷺ described, ‘If you ever see their circles of paradise, don’t leave it. Eat and drink a lot from it.’ ‘Ya Sayyidi, ya Rasulul Kareem (The Most Generous Messenger), what are the circles and halaqas of paradise?’ ‘These are the circles of zikr in which they sit and they’re praising upon Allah (AJ)’.
Ibn ‘Umar (ra) qala, qala Rasulullahi ﷺ: “Izaa marra rathum beriyadil jannati, fa irta’o. Qalu: wa ma riyadil jannati ya Rasulillah ﷺ?
Qala ﷺ: Halaquz Zikri, fa inna Lillahi ta’ala sayyaratun minal Malayikati yutallibona halqaz zikri, fa iza ataw ‘alayhum haffu bihim.” [Jami’ at Tirmidhi, Juz’ 6, Kitab 48, Hadith 3510]
The son of `Umar (ra) reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: “When you pass by the gardens of Paradise, indulge in/enjoy (their blessings).” The holy Companions asked: “What are the gardens of Paradise, O Messenger of Allah (pbuh)?” He (pbuh) replied: “The circles of zikr (Divine Remembrance). There are roaming angels of Allah who go about looking for the circles of zikr, and when they find them, they surround them closely.” [Narrated by Imam Tirmidhi, Volume 6, Book 45, Hadith 3510]
Allah’s (AJ) Greatest Praisings Upon Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
One of the greatest praisings upon Allah (AJ) is salli alan Nabi ﷺ because this is the zikr of Allah (AJ) in which Allah (AJ) is describing, “InnAllaha wa malayikatahu yusalluna ‘alan Nabi ﷺ” – that’s the zikr of Allah (AJ).
33:56 – “InnAllaha wa malayikatahu yusalluna ‘alan Nabiyi yaa ayyuhal ladhina aamanu sallu ‘alayhi wa sallimu taslima.” (Surat Al-Ahzab)
“Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet [Muhammad ﷺ]: O you that believe! Send your blessings upon him, and salute him with all respect.” (The Combined Forces, 33:56)
When we want to make the true zikr of Allah (AJ), “Allahumma salli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.” That we mentioned Allah (AJ) and that Allah (AJ) will pray and praise upon this reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
“Allahumma salli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Sayyidina Muhammadin wa Sallim.”
“O Allah! Send Peace and blessings upon our master Prophet Muhammad and upon the Family of our master Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)”
Slow Down, Meditate, Contemplate to Feel and Hear What Allah (AJ) Wants From You
It means then it’s the circles of zikrullah and the shaykhs of that reality, that they train the people for tafakkur. In their schools of tafakkur and contemplation, they teach them to slow down, begin to meditate and contemplate so that you can feel and hear the signs that Allah (AJ) wants. You have to wash your hearing. If you’re moving fast, how are you going to wash your hearing? You isolate and as soon as you isolate, you begin to see, ‘Oh my gosh, this is amazing. When I don’t have to hear people, I can at least begin to hear some clarity and the cloud leaves my mind.’
They begin to purify their hearing because they can now hear themself. They can talk to themselves. Once they start to realize they’re cleaning their hearing, they begin to understand now negative thoughts and negative energies are attacking them. That’s when the shaykhs are saying, ‘Now do your wazifa. Now do your awrad (daily practice). Make sure you’re continuously in wudu (ablution). Now understand how to keep the company of sadiqeen.’ “Wa kono ma’as sadiqeen” – how to keep their company continuously in the world of light, how to reach out towards their madad and support. That Allah’s (AJ) servants are all around and that we must keep their company.
The Condition of Your Grave Will Be Based On Your Actions
Only at that time, they begin to understand. Then they isolate a little bit more and then they begin to close their eyes often. They know that when they close their eyes, ‘Ya Rabbi, it’s like my qabr (grave). That it’s just going to be me and my ‘amal (actions). I don’t need the distraction of what my eyes saw and what my eyes convinced me was of any importance. In the end, when you really close my eyes and take my life from this dunya (material world), I have no choice to open them anymore. I’ll be faced with my actions and my deeds.’ Are they good enough to take in the grave with you? Because there’s going to be a companion with everyone who goes into the grave. Either he’s going to be a good companion that continuously dresses him and blesses him or he’s going to be a bad companion who enters in to disturb and destroy him? These are the actions of insan (mankind).
As soon as they meditate and contemplate, they realize what they’ve done wrong. They realize that what their eyes focused on were not important. When they close their eyes, they’re able now to begin to clean their vision, clean their heart, clean themselves of the distractions of hayat ad dunya (life of the material world). As a result, Allah (AJ) begin to cleanse their eyes. If begin, Allah (AJ) begin to cleanse their eyes, then when their eyes are closed, they begin to see what Allah (AJ) wants them to see in the reflection of their heart, not their head.
Science Has Discovered a Brain Within the Human Heart
Now there are scientists that come out and said, ‘Actually, you know, these spiritual people that talked about the importance of a heart and that God’s base is in the heart.’ Now science came and actually said they’re astonished. There’s actual cells within the heart of human beings that have the same cellular structure like a brain cell. That they’re capable of thinking and that these cells think and that people actually have a heart and a brain within their heart.
But they’re too busy trying to use the outer brain which Allah (AJ) and zikrullah is “La ilaha illAllah” (There is no deity but Allah (AJ)). Don’t use that head except for your dunya (material world). The real thing to use, the real brain is the brain within the heart – the heart, the energy, the light and the reality of light that enters into the heart. “Qalb al mu’min baytullah,” not the maghz and the brain.
Qala Rasulallahi ﷺ, Qala Allah (AJ): “ “Qalb al mu’min baytur rabb.” [Hadith al Qudsi]
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, that Allah (AJ) said:“The heart of the believer is the House of the Lord.” (Holy Hadith)
Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (as) Mastered Mawt Qablil Mawt
As soon as they begin to meditate and contemplate and close their eyes, Allah (AJ) begin to open the vision of their heart. As a result, they become Ahlul Basirah (the people of spiritual vision). Mushahadah because with all these practices, they became saliheen (righteous) and result of their tariqah (spiritual path), Allah (AJ) begin to dress them. These saliheen, that they have to enter into the station of shuhada (martyrs). Prophet ﷺ described Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (as), ‘You want to look at somebody who died before he died – mawt qablil mawt (death of physical desires before physical death).’
Naqshbandiya tul ‘Aliya (The Most Distinguished Naqshbandi Order) is based on the reality of Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (as). That reached to this reality of mawt qablil mawt and trains and inspires the students to come this way that Prophet ﷺ poured these knowledges into my soul to guide people back to this ishq (love) and muhabbat of Allah (AJ) and the ishq and the muhabbat and love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
“Ma sabAllahu fi Sadri shay an illa wa sababtuhu fi sadri Abi Bakr as Siddiq.”
Prophet (pbuh) said, “Whatever I received, I poured in the heart of Abu Bakr as Siddiq.”
Perform Your Obligatory Worship, Approach With Voluntary So Allah (AJ) Opens Your Senses
They begin to cleanse their eyes and Allah (AJ) opens their eyes, their real eyes. If you shut the eyes from dunya (material world), Allah (AJ) opens the eyes into akhirah (hereafter). This Hadith al Qudsi (holy Hadith) that, ‘My servant approaches and does all their fard (obligatory), approaches with voluntary worshipness means they begin to do acts of muhabbat and love so much so that I become the hearing in which they hear, the seeing in which they see, the breath in which they breathe, the hands in which they touch, the feet in which they move so much so they become Rabbaniyoon (lordly souls) and they “Kun faya koon”, they ask and it will be given.’
‘An Abi Hurairah (ra) qala, Qala Rasulullahi ﷺ: InnAllaha ta’ala qala: “ Wa maa taqarrubi ilayya ‘abdi be shayin ahubba ilayya memma iftaradhtu ‘alayhi. Wa la yazaalu ‘abdi yataqarrabu ilayya binnawafile hatta uhebbahu, fa iza ahbabtuhu kunta Sam’ahul lazi yasma’u behi, wa Basarahul lazi yubsiru behi, wa Yadahul lati yabteshu beha, wa Rejlahul lati yamshi beha. Wa la in sa alani la a’teyannahu, …” [Hadith al Qudsi, Sahih al Bukhari, Raqam: 6502)
Narrated by Abu Hurairah (ra) that: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that: Allah the Almighty said: “… My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have obligated upon him. My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary acts of worship so that I shall love him. When I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes, and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask (something) of Me, I would surely give it to him, …” [Holy Hadith, Authentic by al-Bukhari, # 6502]
The Eye of Your Heart Begins to Open When You Close Your Eyes to This Physical World
It’s Hadith al Qudsi that Allah (AJ) is describing these servants. If you close your ears for dunya (material world), Allah (AJ) gives you hearing; not His ears, astaghfirullah (I seek forgiveness from Allah (AJ)). Allah (AJ) has no location but He’s giving an eternal attribute. ‘I’m going to dress you eternally.’ So, you’re using your dunya (material world) to achieve your stations for akhirah (hereafter), not hoping that you know you can just barely make it through dunya and maybe you’ll have no punishment in akhirah. But they’re asking to use their dunya to achieve these great realities of akhirah in which Allah (AJ) will grant them that, ‘You came and turned off your hearing of dunya and I granted you My Divinely hearing.’
What type of hearing is that in which they can hear these ‘uloom (knowledge) and these realities? You turned off the eyes of your dunya and you stopped being fascinated with your physical eyes. You lost the flavour of that. You began to close your eyes to the physical world. Then the eye of your heart begins to open in which Allah’s (AJ) kingdom is then shown to the servant. That, that which you should love is that which is eternal; not something that going to be collapsing. We pray that Allah (AJ) inspire within our hearts the immensities of this way of tafakkur (contemplation) and the immense bounty in which Allah (AJ) wants to bestow upon His servants.
Be Like Birds of Paradise Who Act Upon Their Sincere Love
This way of ishq and this way of love and all these awliyaullah (saints), that all their teaching drawing us to this way of muhabbat and ishq and the only way to achieve this are with acts of love. This is not a way for the brain that somebody can sit in there say, ‘Okay, I’m going to put into my brain that I’m going to be following this.’ No, it’s only by way of your love. That the actions that you do are signs of love. When the servant wants to act upon their reality, they begin to enter into this love.
These associations of zikrullah and salli ‘alan Nabi ﷺ, these are the signs of love. These are like birds of paradise that gather to praise upon Allah (AJ), to praise upon Allah’s (AJ) most beloved creation – Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. We pray that Allah (AJ) keep us amongst those whom He has favoured and those whom He dresses with immense bounty and blessings, inshaAllah.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa ﷺ wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
