Receiving Divine Emanations Through Service and Sincere Love Q&A
From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi
A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I seek refuge in Allah (AJ) from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ.
Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Question 1: Please forgive me, but what if the student was doing his practices, then got sick, feverish, weak, and then everything stopped in totality until such time he feels better. Is this a sign of poor love and munafiqeen (hypocrites)?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: It can be many signs that you got sick.
That can be a sign of cleansing that the energy that comes to the soul is heavy for the body and there is a cleansing. Every sickness and every fever has a cleansing, whether it is a physical cleansing, spiritual cleansing. At times, also an uplifting because the energy that comes heavy on the soul, the body can’t carry. So it goes into its fever, goes into whatever the body and the physicality has its own way of reacting. So alhamdulillah, inshaAllah be patient, make your zikrs (Divine remembrance), salawats (praises upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) and the best is in the hands of Allah (AJ). He knows best for His servant what he is trying to accomplish inshaAllah, what He is going to accomplish for His servant, inshaAllah.
Question 2: Sayyidi some people are wondering if they still continue to do the lentil diet in the presence of the shaykh or do they break it for a short period of time.
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: They’re not answering that. That’s the nafs (ego) is asking. You break nothing that you commit to, not in the presence of the shaykh or not in the presence of the shaykh, inshaAllah. If they want to break it, they’re breaking themself. They’re not going to throw the blame on the shaykh, inshaAllah.
Question 3: Sayyidi, what does it mean if we stop feeling the faiz (downpouring emanation) during our connection?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: Faiz. I don’t know. When you don’t do your muraqabah (spiritual connection), you don’t see the Feds (Federal Government) is a good thing [shaykh talks in lighter mood].
Yeah, but is faiz, don’t worry about what you feel and what you don’t feel. Because it is not about feeling; it is about firmness. So many times you just continue your practice, and Allah (AJ) wants you to feel nothing and wants to test you, ‘Are you going to give up? Are you doing this for something?’ Say, ‘No, I’m doing it only from for Your Divinely love and that to burn my badness and take away my devils and my demons,’ inshaAllah. So, the intention has to be always for Allah’s (AJ) rida and satisfaction. That Allah (AJ) be satisfied and forgive us our wrongdoings. If He sends a faiz and sends an energy and sends us some goodness and tokens, alhamdulillah. If He doesn’t, alhamdulillah. InshaAllah.
Question 4: Sayyidi, can you please elaborate a little more on the last ayah (verse) from Surat Al-Munafiqun – “And Allah (AJ) will never give respite to any soul when its promise arrives and Allah (AJ) is aware of your deeds.”
63:11 – “Wa lany yu ‘akhkhiral laahu nafsan izaa jaaa’a ajaluhaa; wallaahu khabeerum bimaa ta’maloon”. (Surat Al Munafiqun)
“And Allah (AJ) will never give respite to any soul when its promise arrives and Allah (AJ) is aware of your deeds.” (The Hypocrites, 63:11)
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: It means that what the shaykhs tried to achieve… the essence of the whole surah (chapter) that the munafiqeen that Allah (AJ) is talking about so extreme.
It is not about coming against Allah (AJ) because Allah (AJ) doesn’t have verses in the Qur’an that, ‘If you don’t listen, I’m going to come angrily after you all.’ Allah (AJ) give respite, ask for forgiveness. But this way is – Allah (AJ) is clarifying this is related to Prophet ﷺ. One, they testify to the reality and existence of Prophet ﷺ, Allah says, they’re lying. That their plan is truly evil and that it is meant to distract and misguide people. Again, truly evil.
(1) Ittakhazoo aymaanahum junnatan fasaddoo ‘an sabeelil laah; innahum saaa’a maa kaanoo ya’maloon.” (Surah Al-Munafiqoon)
“When the hypocrites come to you, Ya Rasulullah (pbuh), they say, “We bear witness that you are certainly the Messenger of Allah.” And surely Allah knows that you are His Messenger but Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are truly liars.” (1) They have made their faith a screen/cover (for their misdeeds): thus they obstruct/turn (men) from the Path of Allah: truly evil are their deeds.” (The Hypocrites, 63:1-2)
It is so bad Allah (AJ) describes, ‘I won’t forgive them.’ Even if Prophet ﷺ forgives them, Allah (AJ) won’t forgive them because they came against Prophet ﷺ.
63:6 – “Sawaon ‘alayhim astaghfarta lahum amlam tastaghfir lahum lan yaghfira Allahu lahum; innAllaha la yahdee alqawma alfasiqeen” (Surat Al Munafiqun)
“It is all the same for them whether you (Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)) ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them; Allah will not forgive them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the defiantly rebellious/disobedient transgressors.” (The Hypocrites, 63:6)
Then Allah (AJ) gives us the ticket: if you want to test your inner self and outer self and outer people, Allah (AJ) says, ‘Tell them to come and ask Prophet ﷺ to pray for them for forgiveness.’ And they’re the first ones to say, ‘This is shirk (polytheism), this is shirk, ask no one but Allah (AJ).’ But Allah (AJ) is saying, ‘Ask Prophet ﷺ to pray for your forgiveness.’ “Jaooka fastaghfaro Allah wastaghfar lakum Rasol” is different.
4:64 – “Wa law annahum idh zhalamoo anfusahum jaooka fastaghfaro Allaha wastaghfara lahumur Rasolu lawajado Allaha tawwaban raheema.” (Surat An-Nisa)
“And if, when they had oppressed/wronged themselves, they had but come to you (O’ Muhammad (pbuh)], and asked forgiveness of Allah, and asked forgiveness of the messenger (pbuh), they would have found Allah Acceptor of Repentance/Forgiving, Merciful.” (The Women, 4:64)
Allah (AJ) saying, ‘Go to the presence of Prophet ﷺ and then ask My forgiveness.’ But here in Surah Munafiqun, Allah (AJ) is actually saying, ‘Ask Prophet ﷺ to pray for your forgiveness.’ And they will say, ‘No,’ and they will turn their backs in pride and arrogance. Evil is what they are, and Allah (AJ) won’t forgive them.
63:5 – Wa izaa qila lahum ta’aalaw yastaghfir lakum Rasulullaahi, lawwaw ru’oo sahum wa ra aytahum yasuddoona wa hum mustakbiroon.(5)” (Surat Al Munafiqoon)
“And when it is said to them, “Come, the Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), will ask forgiveness for you” they turn their heads in disgust and you see them, turn away in arrogance. (5) (The Hypocrites, 63:5)
So, means our life then is to always ask Prophet ﷺ for our forgiveness, never to think arrogant that, ‘Oh I don’t need to ask.’ I know I need, I need always to ask that Prophet ﷺ to intercede for me and all who love Prophet ﷺ to intercede for me. To take my path as a humble path. Then a ticket of this love and the way of this love that awliyaullah (saints) all achieve through this way is Allah (AJ) says then give, give, give, give. Be generous, be generous with your time, with your life, with the knowledge you have, with the abilities you have, the rizq and sustenance you have. All of that will make you from saliheen (righteous). Because we said around the awliya are what? Nabiyeen (Prophets (as)), siddiqeen (truthful), shuhada (witnesses) wa saliheen.
4:69 – “Wa man yuti’ Allaha war Rasola faolayeka ma’al ladheena an’ama Allahu ‘alayhim minan Nabiyeena, was Siddiqeena, wash Shuhadayi, was Saliheena wa hasuna olayeka rafeeqan.” (Surat An-Nisa)
“And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger (pbuh) are in the company of those on whom Allah has bestowed His Favours/Blessings – of the Prophets, the sincere Truthful, the Martyrs/Witnesses to the truth (who testify), and the Righteous, and excellent are those as companions.” (The Women, 4:69)
So, if these are the real mushahadah, the shaykhs who can see, they build saliheen and they teach the saliheen – your life is service. That money is not yours, it is Allah’s (AJ) money He entrusted with you. The time is not yours, you’ve been entrusted with it, your skill is not yours; Allah (AJ) entrusted you with that skill.
That one day the shaykh would come and you would say, ‘I have a law degree and let me help you.’ Versus him paying tens of thousands of dollars to other people to do that. You have an accounting degree, you have a business degree, you have a writing degree; whatever your God-given skills are, we’re in battle. So imagine if you were an archer and you just sit there and you were watching the Sahabi (Holy Companions of Prophet ﷺ) and you just listen to the talk, listen to talk, ‘It never occurred to you that if you know archery that you would join in our battle?’ Say, ‘No never occurred to me.’ Because you’re a munafiq (hypocrite). So, those are all the criteria Allah (AJ) is giving. Why you’re not jumping in? Why you see them fighting and you’re not fighting?
So He gives to them: you’re not going to come into heaven and say, ‘I’m sorry now let me go back and do it correctly.’ The time is over, the game is over. You have to do it while the game is playing and that becomes the essence of it. That’s how the Holy Companions, you know whatever wealth they came they say, ‘Here, here is everything.’ They armed the entire companions. Sayyidina Uthman (as) armed the entire companion. Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq (as). They didn’t have a horse, in their first battle they had a few horses, everyone else was running. If not for the Holy Companions, how were they going to go into battle? Because they were big merchants and they established everything. Then every skill they had they came and brought it for Prophet ﷺ.
This is the same understanding that Allah (AJ) say, ‘If you are ‘ashiqeen (lovers) then you see these people are battling for the love of Prophet ﷺ. Why are you standing on the sidelines?’ Tomorrow you get hit by a bus and you die and Allah (AJ) is asking you, ‘You didn’t do anything. I put you there. You were there for two, three months, 6 years, 10 years.’ You can’t say, ‘I just died yesterday. I was going to do it Ya Rabbi in about 6 months. But You know the bus hit me yesterday, so now I’m here.’ Allah (AJ) say, ‘There is no respite.’ (Holy Qur’an, 63:11). That’s why then we get up; we say we love Ya Rabbi. Don’t let us be from this class of people. Alhamdulillah, You granted us this ‘ishq and love, and my life is to live a khidmat and service, feed people, do good deeds, put out articles. MashAllah all our people putting out articles, putting out images.
That take the articles from the AI [Shaykh.AI], don’t write your own articles. Some people are on their own mission to quote their own quotes as if they’re looking for their own audience. We don’t need that; that’s for yourself and for your ego. Take from the AI and the teachings that have already been authorized from the heart of Prophet ﷺ, from shaykh’s talks, and put what you want of a question. If it comes correctly, you modify, look at it, put a beautiful image to it, and that becomes the arrow that you shoot out at the devils. Because you don’t know how many devils that takes out. How many people read something, and it switched them in their thought of what the shaitans were planning. But you just take something and put a picture and put some quotes for yourself. What are you doing now? You’re not helping anything.
So that’s what this is trying to get people to understand, as they supported Prophet ﷺ, there is no difference for ‘ashiqeen, right? Because they want to be in the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Well, that’s not that difficult. Is there a way right now to be in the presence of Prophet ﷺ? Yeah, of course. As soon as you close your eyes and sit in the presence of the shaykh, if he starts to meditate and make his muraqabah and connection, immediately enters into the presence of Prophet ﷺ. Then what does the Hadith describe? ‘I’ll be the eyes in which you see, the hands in which you touch.’
‘An Abi Hurairah (ra) qala, Qala Rasulullahi ﷺ : InnAllaha ta’ala qala: “ Wa maa taqarrubi ilayya ‘abdi be shayin ahubba ilayya memma iftaradhtu ‘alayhi. Wa la yazaalu ‘abdi yataqarrabu ilayya binnawafile hatta uhebbahu, fa iza ahbabtuhu kunta Sam’ahul lazi yasma’u behi, wa Basarahul lazi yubsiru behi, wa Yadahul lati yabteshu beha, wa Rejlahul lati yamshi beha. Wa la in sa alani la a’teyannahu, …” [Hadith al Qudsi, Sahih al Bukhari, Raqam: 6502)
Narrated by Abu Hurairah (ra) that: the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said that: Allah the Almighty said: “… My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have obligated upon him. My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary acts of worship so that I shall love him. When I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes, and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask (something) of Me, I would surely give it to him, …” [Holy Hadith, Authentic by al-Bukhari, # 6502]
It means then the hands of Prophet ﷺ come through their hands, the feet of Prophet ﷺ come through their feet. Because if they leave, he ﷺ comes in. Why? We said, like the Ka’bah, he wants to grant an honor to their physicality and heal them, protect them. As a result of coming through them, anyone in their presence will be in that presence. But they have to have faith to believe that. If they don’t have faith to believe that, then it seems like a very far journey. If they have faith to believe that, then they would understand. That’s why many of the na’at (prophetic praising) describe: “Innal ladheena yubayi’oonaka innama yubayi’on Allah.”
48:10 – “Innal ladheena yubayi’oonaka innama yubayi’on Allaha yadullahi fawqa aydeehim, faman nakatha fa innama yankuthu ‘ala nafsihi, wa man awfa bima ‘ahada ‘alayhu Allaha fasayu teehi ajran ‘azheema.” (Surat Al-Fath)
“Indeed, those who give Bayah (pledge allegiance) to you, [O Muhammad] – they are actually giving Bayah (pledge allegiance) to Allah. The hand of Allah is over their hands. So, he whoever breaks his pledge/oath, only breaks it to the detriment/Harm/loss of himself. And whoever fulfills their covenant (Bayah) that which he has promised Allah (AJ) – He will grant him a great reward.” (The Victory, 48:10)
They realized, my goodness, as soon as they took the hand of Prophet ﷺ, Allah (AJ) is describing to the companions, you’ve taken the hand of Allah (AJ). So, the companions, when they took the hand of Prophet ﷺ, their hand was on the hand of Allah (AJ). For awliya (saints) and those whom are ‘ashiqeen inheriting from that reality, not only the hands of their shaykh are on their hands, the hand of the Holy Companions on their hands, the hands of Ahlul Bayt (Holy Family of Prophet ﷺ) upon their hands, and all the way to the presence of the one whom giving all power and all realities – Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Nothing could happen without the hand of Prophet ﷺ. You can’t bring two people to sit down without the presence of Prophet ﷺ sending a madad and support.
So, that is the faiz, that is the energy, that is the reality. But people have to have faith to believe. So that’s when they interact, they email, whatever they’re doing, you’re doing it in the presence of all of the above. When you write nasty email, they all get to read it. Prophet ﷺ reads; remember, ‘I be the eyes through which you see.’ When they see, Prophet ﷺ saw. That’s why the tariqahs are adab (manners) – is govern yourself correctly. Because they see through the eyes, they respond through the hands and through the tongue of the servant. Because they surrendered themself to that reality, which is very small; it is not something big, it is not something impossible. That happening continuously in our life.
That’s why we said, you went for Hajj (Pilgrimage) for what? Prophet ﷺ is there; 124,000 awliya are there always. Wherever Prophet ﷺ is located, their lights are there. That’s why you call the shaykhs Ka’bah and qibla (direction of prayer). Because their soul is inside the Ka’bah, and through their tafakkur (contemplation), they see who is circumambulating. Because they always have a arwah (souls) in the presence of Prophet ﷺ. In Madina, they’re always in Rauza e Sharif (holy burial chamber) in the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. This is all dunya (material world). These have nothing even to do with the akhirah (hereafter) stations of being in the ruhaniyat (spirituality) of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
On Yawmul Jum’ah (Friday), all the Jum’ahs (Friday prayers) in the presence of Prophet ﷺ on an immense throne, a throne of light which is all Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. And everything in creation is in rows, just rows and rows and rows of beings. All the nabiyeen, siddiqeen, shuhadayi wa saliheen are all in the front and all the rows behind them. As soon as the Jum’ah is finished, the light of Prophet ﷺ from the throne like a tidal wave flows into the audience of the souls. So, means this is the haqqaiq (realities) of Prophet ﷺ in the world of arwah and lights. But it requires people to believe that this physicality of ours is not what it is. The soul is very powerful, and Allah (AJ) have the treasures of the heavens. But people have to want them, inshaAllah.
Question 5: Sayyidi you spoke about serving in the way of tariqah. As a wife, I don’t have social media and don’t go out unnecessarily. Can you please advise on good ways wives can be of service?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: Serve your husband, inshaAllah.
Question 6: Sayyidi can you please tell us how to get rid of bad energy attached to my neck, my body, overall gloom, like living inside my body is torture. Please help.
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: InshaAllah email the helpme [[email protected]] and then they send you the articles and the link for the ta’weez (prayer for protection), inshaAllah.
Then you do the energy practices, the muraqabah (spiritual connection) practices. All the things that we’ve talked about, inshaAllah, to make your connection. So, once you have the connection, those issues shouldn’t be existing. So, once you come new, you have all these attacks. Then you have to make the connection, read the articles on energy, read the articles on how to make your muraqabah, how to use the ta’weezes for spiritual protection, inshaAllah.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa ﷺ wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
