I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the rejected one
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
“O you who are in love and long to see the beloved Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ don’t sleep. Ahead are the illuminated lights of Dhi Salam Valley, and you are so close to the sacred sanctuary of Madina, and the presence of the one who is the best of Arabs and non-Arabs, the best and the most beloved of Allah’s (AJ) creation, stand….” (Reading translation of Salawat – Ayyuhal Mushtaq on the Muhammadan Way App)
Praise the One Most Honoured in Divinely Presence
Even teaches in these nasheeds (song of praise) that teach the adab (manners), teaching the adab and the reverence for this reality.
“Stand in reverence in front of Sayyidina Muhammad’s ﷺ Holy Grave. You are in the presence of the one who is the most honored in ranks in Divinely Presence. And in his resting place is the privilege of nearness to Him and the Divine satisfaction and contentment and all generosity.” (Reading translation of Salawat – Ayyuhal Mushtaq)
And by reciting these nasheeds and salawats (praises upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ), Allah (AJ) sends our soul into the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. This means a tremendous gift in which Allah (AJ) gave to creation and its accessible, just by durood sharif (praising on Prophet Muhammad ﷺ).
Your Praise Gains the Spiritual Presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
No hard things. You don’t have to watch any movies where any special cups are hidden, and any statues pointing to different directions. Have you seen the Quest for the Holy Grail? They are looking for something that one of the prophets drank from it. Maybe it is holy from it, maybe it is a piece of wood from it. Allah (AJ) saying, ‘I gave you the best of all creation. If you only knew the rank of this sultan (king) and what authority he has ﷺ and you can go to his physical body in Madinatul Munawwara (luminous city of Prophet ﷺ). And if you can’t reach there, and even if you can reach there, I grant you the ticket to be in his spiritual presence just by durood sharif.’ Allahumma salli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammad wa `ala aali Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
Allahumma salli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
“O Allah! Send Peace and blessings upon Muhammad and upon the Family of Muhammad (Peace be Upon him)
With Your Praise, Allah (AJ) Takes Away All Your Difficulties
That soul moves and is present in the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It is huge, immense gift, takes away all difficulties. Anyone having difficulty, make durood sharif, make salawats on Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Anyone short in their finance, difficulty in their business, sick in their bed, whatever difficulty it is taken away with the salawat on Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It brings the proximity, brings the grace and the rahmah (mercy) of Allah (AJ), brings every beatific ocean. If you are going to be in difficulty, at least fragrance it with the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. He makes every mushkil (difficulty) to be opened.
Every Difficulty Has a Hikmah
Why? It doesn’t necessarily mean the mushkil – there’s a guy who keeps emailing that he’s leaving, he is running, and every type of crazy talk. I don’t think you got it if you are watching. It wasn’t about escaping a difficulty. It wasn’t about I am going to go to these shaykhs and they are going to do crystal ball magic for you, and they are going to do something and every difficulty go away. No, they are teaching you that difficulty has a hikmah (wisdom).
Without that difficulty, you are fir’aun (pharaoh). I am a fir’aun, all of us. If Allah (AJ) don’t give difficulty to us, the fir’aunic reality will rise. Allah’s (AJ) ni’mat and rest and blessing upon us is, ‘I put you through continuous difficulty, continuously squeeze you,’ but make your squeeze to be sweet.
Allah (AJ) Grants Ease After Hardship
So, as soon as you squeeze and you make salawat on Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, there is a cracking and your soul is coming out. If that soul is moving into the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, every beatific light and fragrance begins to dress it and through the difficulty, you feel it. When there is no difficulty, you are not crying. Every time you are sad, where are you if you’re a believer? You are in sujood (prostration): ‘Ya Rabbi, it is heavy for me. It is too much for me.’ He says, ‘But every time I give you ease…’ That is why Allah (AJ) said, ‘First I give you difficulty, then I give you ease.’ Why He didn’t say, ‘I give you ease and then I give you difficulty?’
94:5-6 – Fainna ma’al ‘usri yusran. (5) Inna ma’al ‘usri yusra. (6) (Surat Ash-Sharh)
For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. (5) Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. (6) (The Relief, 94:5-6)
Difficulty Should Bring Us Into Sujood
Because the difficulty, it brings us into sujood. It brings us into crying onto Allah (AJ). It brings us back onto the carpet, back into what Allah (AJ) wanted us of the real relationship. There is nobody who can help you but Me. When difficulty comes, come to Me, I grant you the ease (Holy Qur’an, 94:5-6). We pray that Allah (AJ) take away these difficulties with these beatific lights and beatific love and grant us from this ocean of ease.
We don’t know what type of difficulties were coming in this month of Safar and then Allah (AJ) made it to be cool and peaceful. Took away through the Ahlul Bayt (Holy Family of Prophet ﷺ) of the difficulty they endured, what type of difficulties were taken away from people.
Allah (AJ) Sent His Mercy For All Creation in Rabi’ul Awwal
The rahmah that with the birth and the opening of Rabi’ul Awwal that Allah (AJ) was going to send His immense rahmah, His immense mercy upon this earth as a salvation for all of creation.
21:107 – “Wa maa arsalnaka illa Rahmatal lil’alameen.” (Surat Al-Anbiya)
“And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad (pbuh)], except as a mercy to the worlds/creation.” (The Prophets, 21:107)
Allah (AJ) Desired To Be Known by Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
All this creation was to give a beatific gift for the arrival of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Why Allah (AJ) didn’t send us to the moon? He made this earth to be beatific because the arrival in the step and the qadam of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ was going to be entering onto this earth. And Allah (AJ) shows His tashrif and ihtiram, His love and His respect, because He wants us to learn that, ‘Look how I am respecting My beloved creation because you don’t know the secret of whose light is he reflecting.’ That, I was a hidden treasure. I wanted to be known.
“Kuntu kanzan makhfiyya, fa ahbabtu an a’rafa, fa khalaqtu khalqan, fa ‘arraftahum bi fa ‘arafonee.” (Hadith Qudsi)
Allah (AJ) said, “I was a hidden Treasure then I desired to be known, so I created a creation to which I made Myself known; then they knew Me.”
Do you know Me yet? Do you know the attributes that I dressed upon this soul? I made the earth to be beautiful for that arrival. I made every flower to give a fragrance. Why Allah (AJ) could have made the flower like a cactus? We could have been living in a desert. Everywhere would have been a desert and everything would have been a cactus, just porcupine. Why? Why Allah (AJ) made everything to be beatific? Gave you a desert, gave you an ocean, gave you mountains, gave you flowers and flowers of every imagination, of every fragrance, of every beauty. For the arrival of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
Allah (AJ) Showed His Love & Respect for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
When a guest comes you want to put not just a hamburger for them. If it is an important guest you say I am going to put everything. I am going to put samples of everything so that maybe your palate will like something more than the other, and for me to show how much I love and respect you. All of what I have, I put onto this sufra (food table) for you. And Allah (AJ) is the best of ones to show the example. How Allah (AJ) addressed all the prophets in Holy Qur’an, but how He addressed Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is with a completely different ihtiram (respect).
Always a title on Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, sending that, ‘I made all this Earth to be beautiful for you, to be fragrant for you, to be a beauty and treasure for your eyes and all your senses. I made everything to be beautiful for you, for My love for you, and when I called you into My Presence, I sent you My angels. I didn’t just say, ‘Come.’ I sent you the best of My angels, the arch-angels to appear. I sent them with robes from paradise. I sent them from water of paradise to wash your blessed soul, to wash your blessed body. And I sent you your limousine from paradise, your buraq.’ When you have a guest, now naatkhan, somebody come into town, you send a limousine to the airport. Allah (AJ) says, ‘I sent the best of what I had to show My ihtiram, My love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.’
Nothing Compares to Allah’s (AJ) Love and Respect for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
Then you see wow, we have a big competition here. Allah (AJ) has let the standard be unimaginable. That is why awliya (saints) say no matter what you do to show your love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, it is nothing compared to what Allah (AJ) has given for that reality. So, as much as we do for the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, Allah (AJ) is pleased and blessed and says, ‘This is a blessed gathering, this is a love gathering. Now you understood My secret. I was a Hidden Treasure.’ I wanted to be known and I am known through Muhammadun Rasulullah ﷺ. If you love him, you love Me. If you obey him, you obey Me. If you see the beauty in him, you have seen the beauty in Allah (AJ). Every beatific attribute of Allah (AJ) reflects to the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
3:31 – “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allaha fattabi’oni, yuhbibkumullahu wa yaghfir lakum dhunobakum wallahu Ghaforur Raheem.” (Surat Ali-Imran)
“Say, [O Muhammad], “If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.” (Family of Imran, 3:31)
