Miladun Nabi ﷺ – Will You Celebrate Prophet’s ﷺ Entry Into Our Realm Like Angels Did Above?
A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I seek refuge in Allah (AJ) from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ.
Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is Our King and Boss
When people become more arrogant, they forget who their sarkaar (master) is. They make it seem like it’s bizarre. Your master, your boss and the next na’at (prophetic praising) tells you your king. It means this creation has to have a king and a sultan and it’s not Allah (AJ). Allah (AJ) doesn’t care for creation. What He cares for is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. When people become arrogant, they think they’re the sarkaar.
What these na’at are reminding us and nasheeds (songs of praise) are reminding us: no, no, no, put yourself in your place. That Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is the boss, is the king – king of this entire creation. If you know that and if you’ve ever been involved with the kingdom, you don’t raise your head above the king, not even when the king’s car passing. Why? Because it teaches us tashrif and respect and honour.
Shaitan Trains Us to Think We are Important
But demonocracy taught something else; taught that you are sarkaar and you’re important. As a result, ignorance came into the heart of believers and they said, ‘Oh, it’s just me and Allah (AJ). I must be a big boss too.’ Say, ‘No, you’re nothing, absolutely nothing’. The only one that counts in Divinely Presence, Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
So, then if you understood who the king is, your life was to serve him ﷺ with good deeds and good actions so that in front of Allah (AJ), he won’t be ashamed of his nation. That we didn’t forget and that we uphold the rules of this kingdom and the ruler of this kingdom. It’s not shaitan (satan). He has falsely made himself as if he rules this kingdom, but its sultanate (kingdom) is under Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
Awliyaullah Serve the King With Sincere Love
It means that becomes the key of success in our life for akhirah (hereafter). That’s why these na’at, they instill and keep pushing this into our heart and our subconscious reality so that one day it becomes our conscious reality. Right? The words from big awliya (saints), like their workers and ghulams (servants) and they understood their sarkaar (master). Why they use such a word? Why? Because sarkaar means when you go to work, your boss. Everyone can relate – you have a boss at work, you have a boss at school, you have a boss at home. The big boss – Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. You do good, he makes a du’a (supplication), you get a raise. You’re not feeling good, he makes a du’a to Allah (AJ) and you’re granted shifa and healing.
So, these awliya in their kalaam (words), they’re reminding as we’re reciting. Even from youth, they’re being raised with this love like a blessed water that you put upon a plant so that it becomes rushd and grows strong. With what? The love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and that they serve their king. By serving their king, they served Allah (AJ), but Allah (AJ) doesn’t care for them if they’re renegade against the king because that’s what shaitan‘s teaching. Why? Because he doesn’t want the sultanate of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
Follow Prophet ﷺ to Be Granted Allah’s (AJ) Love (Holy Qur’an, 3:31)
So, then people came and think that they’re clever and they’re smart. They take out that reality and awliyaullah (saints), their teaching is to keep that reality. It’s the key of our success. It’s the key of every wisdom and understanding. That our life is a khidmat and service to this king. Our life is to raise the honourable name of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, his tashrif (honour). What better honour can you do in life? That I came into this dirty world and ya Rabbi, as if I saw the name of Prophet ﷺ not being respected to the way that my heart is telling me it has to be. My life was to kiss that name and put upon my head and that’s your imamah – this is your turban. This is the holy dome of Madina. You don’t need so many clues. You’re wearing it. You see the dome of Madina that our life was to carry that dome and this is our life.
No, not no one going to take it off our head and we’re not serving any other king. Our service is to that reality. Our khidmat is to that reality and with my life, with my wealth, with my possessions and my family is to keep raising the honour of that king. Isn’t that how you get recognized in a kingdom? Right? If you go into a kingdom and you glorify yourself, most likely the next day, you’ll be missing because the king thinks you’re competing with him. You glorify and raise someone else – he thinks maybe you a renegade to him. So, it means that perfect example of our existence is to honour him. As a result, we understood what Allah (AJ) wants – ”Qul inni…Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allaha fattabi’uni, yuhbibkumullahu…” ‘Tell them if they want My love, they follow you. Not follow, just basic follow, but they love and respect you’.
3:31 – “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allaha fattabi’uni, yuhbibkumullahu…” (Surat Ali-Imran)
“Say, [O Muhammad], “If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you …” (Family of Imran, 3:31)
Allah (AJ) Showed the Highest Honour to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ Through Isra wal Mir’aj
So, how Allah (AJ) respected Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ? For Isra wal Mi’raj (Night Journey and Ascension) teaches us manners. Right? You want to have a Milad un Nabi ﷺ (celebration of the birthday of Prophet ﷺ), three days a week we have Milad. Prepare for guests the best of foods, the best of conditions, the biggest of fragrance and have a grand Milad so that the other people’s eyes can see how we respect and love the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Not even comparison to what Allah (AJ).
When Allah (AJ) wanted a meeting for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, He sent His archangels and He sent the archangels to come to the presence of Prophet ﷺ. The water in which to make wudu (ablution) – they brought water from paradise, washed Prophet ﷺ. The clothing to be presented was the khirqah (robes) of paradise. They brought clothes for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. This is tashrif (honour). Allah (AJ) teaching us, ‘Look how I respect My king that I made for all of creation, My most beloved of creation. I sent for him a custom car, custom limousine.’ We call the buraq (noble mystical horse). Right? How Allah (AJ) puts all of that, sends that into the presence of all the prophets, ‘Accept your Islam in the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ’. Every nation’s prophet was present and accepted their Islam and they prayed behind Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ’. That’s why Allah (AJ) says, ‘The deen (religion) of Allah (AJ) is Islam and that’s it’.
3:19 – “Innad deena ‘indAllahil Islam.” (Surat Ali-Imran)
“The religion with God is Islam [Submission]…” (Family of Imran, 3:19)
Our Success in Dunya and Akhirah is Based On Our Love of Prophet ﷺ
All the other prophets, they entered into Islam with that salah (daily prayer) because they gave their tashahhud. They gave their shahadah (testimony of faith). With that beautiful vehicle, Allah (AJ) invites Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ on a mi’raj (ascension) into the paradises. Every angel of every paradise was required to come out of their paradise to greet the sultan, describe the reality of that paradise and that Prophet ﷺ would enter and those angels would enter behind Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
So, it means this Allah (AJ) is teaching us the immensity of respect and love. That’s why it pleases Allah (AJ). For those who come to this Earth and uphold that love, keep that love, keep the tashrif (honour) and the respect, the admiration and that teach their families that you have to keep the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Don’t let a day come in which they say that there’s an Islam without Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It means that’s our key to success in this life and in the hereafter because a successful life in Allah’s (AJ) way in this life builds our hereafter. Unsuccessful, but you may think you’re successful doesn’t build your akhirah. The good deeds Allah (AJ), “Fid dunya hasanat wa akhirat hasanat wa qinaa azaaban naar” is for what?
2:201 – “Wa minhum mai yaqoolu rabbanaaa aatina fid dunyaa hasanatawn wa fil aakhirati hasanatanw wa qinaa azaaban Naar.” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.” (The Cow, 2:201)
Uphold the Love, Honour and Way of the King
Not that you have a good dunya (material world), do whatever you want and then you hope you have a good akhirah (hereafter). But in reality, that dunya of yours didn’t build your akhirah. This life was to make this dunya to build our akhirah. Every good deed you do is building your palace in the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That’s what awliyaullah coming to teach us: don’t keep these two church and state separate.
Islam is all-encompassing and our life is meant to build our paradise reality. Whatever Allah (AJ) gives to us was for the sake of our paradise reality. That was to uphold the way of the king, to love and honour and respect the king. That anyone who came across us understood these are Muhammadiyoon. These are the people under the kingdom of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Their ishq, their love, they’re ambassadors of that reality. As a result, “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allaha fattabi’uni.”
Seek to Eat at the Holy Table of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
They gain Allah’s (AJ) love upon them and that’s why they’re ‘ashiqeen (lovers) by Allah (AJ) because they love whom Allah (AJ) loves. They kept the way of honour and respect to the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ in dunya. Imagine in dunya, your life is that. What then you’re expecting for your life in paradise? It’s to eat at the holy table of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, to be invited into the kingdom of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
This is the greatest of honours that everybody should be wishing for in their heart and in their existence. That, ‘For all of eternity, ya Rabbi, let me to be in the presence of that king, to be eating at that holy table, to be in the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ for all of eternity’.
Keep the Best of Manners to Achieve the Presence of Prophet ﷺ
Allah (AJ) gave us a gift of this dunya (material world) to achieve that with this ishq and with this love and with all these actions. These na’at sharif (prophetic praising), they plant the seeds of that love. You recite, you recite, you recite, some years later, all of a sudden the fruits of its reality are opening ‘aha’ moment. You think and say, ‘Ya Latif, Ya Rabbi, what these words’ because they’re blossoming, they’re blossoming. We pray that Allah (AJ) put that love deep within our hearts. That our life is for that love and respect of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, to uphold this immense love and ishq of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ as we’ve been describing for the Holy Companions.
The Holy Companions, they lived and died for that love. Their ishq and muhabbat was to keep the way and uphold the way of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ with good character, with good manners, with ishq and with love; never with harshness, never with violence and never with bad, bad sound. Not even the raising of the voice can be raised because the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ must be with us. Why? We are praising upon that reality, giving our infinite salawats (praises upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) to the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ that his ruhaniyat (spirituality) must be with us. So, then we must keep the best of manners always, inshaAllah.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa ﷺ wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
