Find Your Pearl By Running to the Presence of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi
A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ.
Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Guidance Gives You What You Need, Not What You Want
InshaAllah, a reminder during these difficult, difficult times that to contact, ‘Helpme, helpme, helpme.’ Be like, ‘Where am I supposed to email?’ ‘Helpme,’ it’s very self-explanatory. ‘[email protected].’ That keep a connection. Keep your communication line open and we try our best to give a response. The response that we give is what you’re in need of, not what you’re asking.
Keep always in mind when dealing with the tariqah (spiritual path), it’s not like dealing with other people. You ask and you think you’re going to get an answer that you want, that’s not tariqah (spiritual path). You ask and you get an answer that they want to give you because you ask and through your mind and through limited capacity, you’re asking something. More important is that you establish the relationship and you reached out. First sign was humility. Second sign is that you’re asking Allah (AJ), ‘I want to be guided.’ Then began the process of guidance that you’ll hear from us what is necessary for you to understand and that you build your building block with this reality and this connection.
All Solutions are in the Heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
More than ever the connection is essential, is essential to be connected to the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. This is our lifeline to that reality that through every teaching and whoever is teaching whatever they’re teaching out there. Whatever signs people are able to understand, whatever they are witnessing of events, most important is the solution. Some are more clever than others at pointing out things that are happening. Some state only the obvious.
Most important from whatever is being discussed is what is the solution. For us and this tariqah (spiritual path) and the way of tariqah, its solution is the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Whether we make it through this difficulty or we don’t, but we make it because our goal is to be in the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. For if we should go through dunya (material world) not with that understanding and to leave this dunya without that understanding, we lost both dunya and akhirah (hereafter). So, the goal for us was not this world. The goal for us was to be in the presence of Allah’s (AJ) Divinely Presence and rida and satisfaction to be dressing us with the “Nabiyeen, siddiqeen, shuhadai was saliheen.”
4:69 – “Wa man yuti’ Allaha war Rasola faolayeka ma’al ladheena an’ama Allahu ‘alayhim minan Nabiyeena, was Siddiqeena, wash Shuhadai, was Saliheena wa hasuna olayeka rafeeqan.” (Surat An-Nisa)
“And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger (pbuh) are in the company of those on whom Allah has bestowed His Favours/Blessings – of the prophets, the sincere Truthful, the witnesses to the truth (who testify), and the Righteous, and excellent are those as companions.” (The Women, 4:69)
Run to Prophet ﷺ as an Oppressor to Yourself
The highest gift that Allah (AJ) can give is the gift of the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. We pray that this love is establishing and that whatever you’re listening to and whatever teachings you’re trying to follow, is it establishing the immense love? That Prophet ﷺ “Jaooka.” 4:64, haji Shahid, surah 4:64 is the aqidah (belief). Let’s recite. Surah 4:64, I hope they wrote it right for me [Shaykh laughs] “Jaooka”. What we got, is it “Jaooka?” If not, then this person is fired [Shaykh laughs]. Surah 4:64, verse 64, is this the ayatul kareem (the generous verse of Holy Qur’an), “Jaooka.” Is it? “Jaooka fastaghfaro Allaha wastaghfara lahumur Rasolu.” Yeah, you recite the Arabic and he recites the English [Shaykh instructs audience].
4:64 – “A’udhu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem. Wa maa arsalnaa mir Rasoolin illaa liyutaa’a bi iznil laah; wa law annahum ‘iz zalamooo anfusahum jaaa’ooka fastaghfarul laaha wastaghfara lahumur Rasoolu la wajadul laaha Tawwaabar Raheemaa.” (Surat An-Nisa)
“I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the rejected one In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. We sent not a messenger, but to be obeyed, in accordance with the will of Allah. If they had only, when they were unjust to themselves, come unto thee and asked Allah’s forgiveness, and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah indeed Oft-returning, Most Merciful.” (The Women, 4:64)
Obey Allah (AJ), Obey Prophet ﷺ and Obey Those in Authority (Holy Qur’an, 4:59)
This is the ‘aqidah (belief) of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah (People of Prophetic Tradition and of the Majority). If someone doesn’t understand, they don’t understand their aqidah. That when Allah (AJ) saying in Holy Qur’an – this is not the word of shaykhs and awliya (saints) – this is the word of Allah (AJ). That in the fourth surah (chapter), 64th verse, this is our entire belief. This is our najat (salvation). The salvation through the difficulty of dunya (material world) and to win the reality of akhirah (hereafter) that Allah (AJ) sent, ‘We sent messengers to be believed.’ It means you can’t take and not take. They’re to be obeyed from “Ati Allah,” to “Atiur Rasul.”
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat An-Nisa)
“… Obey Allah, Obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Admit You’re an Oppressor to Yourself to Enter the Presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
So, we don’t pick and choose what we want and what we don’t want. So, Allah (AJ) confirming this has to be obeyed. What Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is bringing for you, you have to follow it. It is the will of Allah (AJ) and, ‘If had they only when they were unjust to themselves.’ So, first key in tariqah (spiritual path) is that, ‘I’m an oppressor to myself. Ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, miskino, zhalim.’ If you don’t believe that you’re an oppressor to yourself, shaitan (satan) has already fooled you not to repent. At every moment, we have to agree to ourselves, ‘I have been fooled. I am an oppressive to myself. I’m in every type of difficulty, ya Rab (O Lord).’ Allah (AJ) then gives a solution that, ‘If you’re agreeing that you’re an oppressor to yourself, then Jaooka! Go to the presence. Go to the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.’
If they had only when they were unjust to themselves come on to thee, ya Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and ask Allah’s (AJ) forgiveness. Meaning what? You asking Allah’s (AJ) forgiveness is of no value because you just admitted you were an oppressor, not oppressed. You were an oppressor. The words of a zalim (oppressor) are nothing to Allah (AJ). That’s when you say, ‘Oh, I want to make du’a (supplication) directly to Allah (AJ). I speak Allah (AJ)…’
Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ Resolves Everything For Us Through His Intercession and Forgiveness
Allah (AJ) doesn’t listen to the words of an oppressor, right? You didn’t agree that you were an oppressor, you must think you’re oppressed. If you’re oppressed, Allah (AJ) listens to you. But if you are an oppressor and the worst oppression is to oneself, where you didn’t follow the guidelines of Allah (AJ). You didn’t follow what Allah (AJ) wanted for you, for your family, for your community. So, instead of trying to wait for judgement is, ‘I agree, ya Rabbi, I’m an oppressor to myself. I’m a zalim to myself. How I can ask you for anything?’
Allah (AJ) gave the greatest key, ‘Jaooka. Go to the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and that Prophet ﷺ to pray for you.’ Is he interceding and taking your case? For if he asks Allah (AJ), everything is resolved. Then ask his forgiveness ﷺ for what you’ve done and come against the commands that Allah (AJ) has given the Shari’ah (Divine Law) that He has brought.
We Are All Created From the Soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
All of the secrets that we can’t understand the reality of our soul, what ocean it came from. We’re a drop. In this same Surat an-Nisa, what is Allah (AJ) in this surah, first verse of Surat an-Nisa. Just the first two lines of Surat an-Nisa.
4:1 – “Yaaa aiyuhan naasut taqoo Rabbakumul lazee khalaqakum min nafsinw waahidatinw…” (Surah An-Nisa)
“O mankind, be conscious of your Lord/master, who created you from one soul…” (The Women, 4:1)
Allah (AJ) say, ‘I created you from one soul, an-Nafs al-Wahida’ (Holy Qur’an, 4:1), fourth surah of Holy Qur’an, first verse, ‘I created you from an-Nafs al-Wahid.’ You’re coming from an ocean of wahid, oneness. It means you come from the ocean of Sayyidina Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ.
Don’t Harm Your Soul, a Drop in the Ocean of Muhammadun RasulAllah ﷺ
Whatever we are doing to ourselves and oppressing of ourselves – not one – we have oppressed our physicality, but we’re trying to damage a soul that’s not ours. It’s from an ocean called Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. Again, this is not a shaykh talking, this is Holy Qur’an. They read a book but yet, they don’t understand it. So, this is our belief. This is a soul, its origin is Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. I am but a drop in that.
Whatever I do wrong to my physicality, I’m an oppressor. Whatever I disobeyed of Allah (AJ) trying to harm my soul, it’s the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It’s not your soul. Allah (AJ) didn’t make you from your own ocean. You’re but a drop, a drop in an ocean called Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. This is an ocean of rahmah and mercy, “Wa maa arsalnaka Rahmatan lil’alameen.”
21:107 – “Wa maa arsalnaka illa Rahmatal lil’alameen.” (Surat Al-Anbiya)
“And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad (pbuh)], except as a mercy to the worlds/creation.” (The Prophets, 21:107)
Our Souls are Pearls and Corals in the Muhammadan Ocean
It is an ocean of rahmah (mercy) where Allah (AJ) said, ‘We would have not have sent you, but you’re a rahmah.’ You’re created from an ocean of rahmah. When awliyaullah (saints) want to know their reality, they recite Suraht ar-Rahman and they understood that they are from this ocean of rahmah. When you’re understanding who you are and the preciousness of who you are; not because of you, but your soul is from Allah’s (AJ) most blessed gift called Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ.
Then you are like the pearls and corals within that ocean. That’s why Mawlana Shaykh Sultan al-Awliya (King of saints) Shaykh Nazim (Q) would always say, ‘Pearls and corals.’ The pearls, lu ‘lu. Lu ‘lu (pearls) is precious. A lu ‘lu is precious. “Lu ‘lu wal marjaan,” the corals.
55:22 – “Yakhruju minhumal lu ‘lu u wal marjaan.” (Surat Ar-Rahman)
“Out of them come Pearls and Coral.” (The Beneficient, 55:22)
Souls are Perfected Under Mawlana Shah Naqshband’s (Q) Nazar
Why, why are they precious? They’re precious because of the value of the ocean that they’re found in. Mawlana Shaykh (Q) would say, ‘The shell on the sand is not precious because the ocean kicked that out.’ So, when you pick up the shells on the side of the ocean that it already kicked out. What’s precious in the ocean is the treasures inside of it. That pearl, lu ‘lu, is the secret of this tariqah (spiritual path).
That within the physicality and the hard structure of this shell of the oyster is producing under this heavy shell, a beatific gift and treasure which is that pearl. So, with the hardness of this physicality and the hardness of our life and all the difficulty that this physicality in this life goes through, Allah (AJ) is perfecting a pearl. For Naqshbandiyatil Aliyya, this pearl of reality is under the nazar (gaze) of Mawlana Shah Naqshband (Q).
‘Hu’ Dresses Souls With Guidance, Love and Mercy
That one of his many realities is to make the zikr (Divine remembrance) of ‘Hu’ upon these pearls. His nazar (gaze) with what Allah (AJ) give of power to awliyaullah is just to keep one nazar on these pearls making zikr of ‘Huuuuuu.’ [Someone sneezes] ‘Haq.’ What dress of hu upon this pearl that from the oceans of al-hayat (the ever-living) and hidayat (guidance) and every ocean of reality is dressing guidance upon the pearl and granting it from the oceans of waw and wadood (love)?
We said that you can’t be from a hu without love and guidance. He’s dressing the pearl from its reality, from the hay of Allah (AJ) and hidayat and guidance, he’s perfecting each pearl in the perfection of guidance and with Allah’s (AJ) infinite ocean of rahmah that from is above and within is dressing it from an ocean of wadood and love.
Naqshbandiya are Pearls Being Perfected Through Life’s Struggles
So, all of Naqshbandiya are from these pearls. If you find yourself listening to this broadcast, hearing this broadcast coming across any of the Facebook, social media, any of these things, then you are from Naqshbandiyatil Aliyya. This is the reality and the inheritance of the shaykhs that gave for us. It’s that the reality of our soul, the reality of the immensity of this dress and that you have a lu ‘lu. You are of a pearl in your reality.
Some more beatific than others in the perfection of the reality of whom Allah (AJ) created them, what type of gift Allah (AJ) gave to them. They see difficulty within their hardship because the oyster, it’s making something. It takes a grain of sand and it’s making a pearl. It has an outside shell that is a protective shell. So, it means our life and the struggles with our life, Allah’s (AJ) doing something. It’s not just empty struggles. Every time you’re faced with the test, Allah’s (AJ) just testing your ability to function. Make your decisions. He doesn’t test anybody beyond their ability.
2:286 – “La yukallifullahu nafsan illa wus’aha…” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“Allah does not place a burden on a soul, more than it can bear/beyond its capacity…” (The Cow, 2:286)
You Have Abilities You’re Unaware Of
You have it. You just don’t know you have its ability. You have the ability to persevere. You have the ability to get through your testing. Some people just tested, they become panicky and Allah (AJ) saying, ‘Don’t worry. Your pearl in you is being perfected. Don’t worry about the hardships. It can be resolved by money and time or whatever experience or expertise you have. It can be resolved and this difficulty will pass.’ But what immensely is happening is the reality of that soul and the perfection of that pearl.
Mawlana Shah Naqshband’s (Q) zikr (Divine remembrance) and that perfection of that pearl, for a day in which Mawlana Shah Naqshband (Q) sees fit from order of Allah (AJ) to the order of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ to the order of Mawlana Shah Naqshband (Q), that the pearl be pushed inside the heart of that servant, in their physicality, to receive their pearl. Every uloom ul-awaleen wa ‘l-akhireen (knowledges of the beginning and the end) begin to dress up on that servant.
Seek the Presence of Prophet ﷺ in Times of Difficulty
So, it means that we pray that Allah (AJ) dress us and bless us. We started with this as our aqidah and belief. Our only solution is the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ by Holy Qur’an. That we are from one ocean of rahmah and mercy and to understand who is the owner of this ocean. That its lord and might is Allah (AJ). Its sahib (owner) is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and we are but a servant within that ocean; a creation within that ocean, but it’s not for us.
This ocean wasn’t created for us. It was created for Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. So, everything we do wrong, every type of difficulty that’s coming, every type of ‘azaab (punishment) we’re seeing, our solution is “Jaooka.” Run to the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and how do you run to the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ? By your salawat (praises upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ).
Prophetic Praisings Open Your Door to the Presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
He gave his presence so easy. You don’t have to look for hidden veil or grail or hidden anything. You don’t have to take planes and trains and look on these movies for the quest for the Holy Grail. It’s, ‘I’m as near to you as one salawat.’ As soon as you feel panicky, as soon as you feel scared, as soon as you feel like you don’t understand what’s happening, make salawat on Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
We have an app with all these beatific durood sharif (praising on Prophet Muhammad ﷺ). Make these nasheeds (songs of praise). Open up the nasheed when you’re at home and just begin to recite and sing them. Feel the happiness in that praise, the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. As soon as we begin these nasheeds and begin these praisings, it opens a door to the presence of the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and to be dressed and to be blessed by these associations. We said we’re entering into these oceans of realities. Holy Qur’an is encoded, is encoded with these immense secrets.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa ﷺ wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
