Commemorate Nisf e Sha’ban With Powerful Salatul Khair

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ ٱلْرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I seek refuge in Allah (AJ) from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ. Madad ya Sayyidi ya Rasulul Kareem, Ya Habibul ‘Azeem, unzur halana wa ishfa’lana, ‘abidona bi madadikum wa nazarekum.
Atiullah wa atiur Rasul wa Ulil amre minkum. Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.
أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنكُم… ﴿٥٩﴾ …
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Every Precise Matter is Made Distinct on Nisf e Sha’ban (Holy Qur’an, 44:1-5)
Madadikum wa nazarekum, inshaAllah, for this blessed night of Laylatul Nisf e Sha’ban (Night of Mid Sha’ban) coming in, tomorrow night, inshaAllah, later tonight, whenever it comes in. InshaAllah, Allah (AJ) dress us from the immensity of its blessings and its realities, inshaAllah. Let’s recite from Surat Al-Dukhan 44 verse 1 to…one sec…samawati wal ard…to 5. 1 to 5, inshaAllah, for now. 44, 1 through 5, inshaAllah. A’uzu Billahi Minash shaitanir Rajeem Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem.
Audience: “Haa Meeem Wal Kitaabil Mubeen Innaaa anzalnaahu fee lailatim mubaarakah; innaa kunnaa munzireen Feehaa yufraqu kullu amrin hakeem Amram min ‘indinaaa; innaa kunnaa mursileen.” SadaqAllahul aliyyul ‘azheem.
حم ﴿١﴾ وَالْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ ﴿٢﴾ إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةٍ مُّبَارَكَةٍ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنذِرِينَ ﴿٣﴾ فِيهَا يُفْرَقُ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ حَكِيمٍ ﴿٤﴾ أَمْرًا مِّنْ عِندِنَا ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ ﴿٥﴾
44:1-5 – “Haa Meeem (1) Wal Kitaabil Mubeen (2) Innaaa anzalnaahu fee lailatim mubaarakah; innaa kunnaa munzireen (3) Feehaa yufraqu kullu amrin hakeem (4) Amram min ‘indinaaa; innaa kunnaa mursileen (5).” (Surat Ad-Dukhan)
“Ha, Meem. (1) By the clear Book, (2) Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night. Indeed, We were to warn [mankind]. (3) On that night is made distinct every precise matter – (4) [Every] matter [proceeding] from Us. Indeed, We were to send [a messenger] (5)”. (The Smoke, 1-5)
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: SadaqAllahul ‘azheem wa barakah Rasulul Kareem (The Most Generous Messenger). InshaAllah Allah (AJ), giving us from Ha, Meem and this letter of Ha, Meem to do with Haqiqatul Muhammadiyah (Muhammadan realities), and is a encoding on the surah. Next verse, Allah (AJ) giving to us, “Wal Kitaabil Mubeen”.
Allah (AJ) Bestowed His Holy Speech to Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
Alhamdulillah, for those whom following the teachings, the book of Allah (AJ) is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, the living reality of a soul in which Allah (AJ) bestowed His Holy Speech. This is the immense reality of the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. “Wa Allamal Qur’an” badan, next, “Khalaqal Insaan”.
﴾عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ ﴿٢﴾ خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ ﴿٣
55:2-3 – “Allamal Qur’an (2). Khalaqal Insaan (3).” (Surat Ar Rahman)
”It is He Who has taught the Qur’an. (2) He has created Mankind. (3)” (The Beneficent, 55:2-3)
Who Allah (AJ) allam? Whom Allah (AJ) has taught the Qur’an? It means Manzil ul Qur’an (where the Holy Qur’an emanates), the custodian of Allah’s (AJ) Divinely Speech. This has to do with the world of malakut (heavenly realm) and the world of light in which Allah (AJ) is now testifying by that reality. “Anzalnaahu fee lailatim mubaarakah; innaa kunnaa munzireen” (Holy Qur’an, 44:3). ‘And We have revealed this on this blessed night, and We are ever warning.’
Alhamdulillah, that from the heart of awliyaullah (saints), that Allah (AJ) is giving to us this blessed night – Laylatul Nisf e Sha’ban – in which the entirety of Holy Qur’an was revealed to the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. This is why we keep talking. This is not to do with the reference to physicality. So, this is not a teachings from the physical world. This is the teachings of the world of light and malakut (heavenly realm), the heavens in which Allah (AJ) is revealing that in this blessed night. This, and by…I swear by this kitab (book), it has been revealed.
Laylatul Bara’ah Celebrates Prophet ﷺ Bringing Heavenly Realities From Malakut to Mulk
What has been revealed is Allah’s (AJ) Divinely Speech for Prophet’s ﷺ heart in the world of light and souls to be the house of Allah (AJ) and the house of Qur’an. It means the Qur’an in all its entirety is revealed to the house and to the heart and to the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, and a warning. A warning for those whom don’t take the respect and seriousness of the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Not a person who received a mail, delivered it to humanity and then there’s no more in relation to that reality.
But awliyaullah come into our lives to teach that no, Allah (AJ) has bestowed all its entirety upon the soul and is continuously speaking through the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. As a reality, then Laylatul Bara’ah (Night of Salvation) is a celebration of the soul and the essence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ that contains that reality and brought that reality from malakut into the mulk (earthly realm) and into the physical realm whereupon every amr (command) is made clear.
Those Who Keep Love and Respect for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ Will Observe Shab e Bara’ah
“Wa kullu amrin hakeem” means that Allah (AJ) has no time.
﴾فِيهَا يُفْرَقُ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ حَكِيمٍ ﴿٤
44:4 – “Feeha yufraqu kullu amrin hakeem” (Surat ad Dukhan)
“On that night (Night of Salvation/Middle of Sha’ban) every affair of wisdom is made distinct (everything is decreed)” (The Smoke, 44:4)
So, when we say in this pardeh (veil) and in this hijab of Shab e Bara’ah, Allah (AJ) is bestowing Divinely Speech upon the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, revealing the Qur’an in its entirety. Anybody wishing to receive that barakah (blessings) observes that night because Allah (AJ) has no time. Anything commanded by Allah (AJ) is an eternal tajalli (manifestation). As this tajalli is eternally coming, Allah (AJ) is giving to us: this is a blessed night but whom will observe this night? Those whom keep a love and ihtiram and respect for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Because it’s the month of Sha’ban and Prophet’s ﷺ month.
The People of Amr Carry the Alif of ‘Izzatullah and the Meem of ‘Izzatur Rasul
In such a night where awliya (saints) come and teach: this is Allah (AJ) sending the entirety of Qur’an. If you want that reality, observe the night. ‘I may not be worthy, ya Rabbi, to understand what You bestow upon me, but when I sit in observation and respect and the tarbiyah (discipline) and the etiquette of what my shaykhs gave to me to receive these barakahs and these blessings.’
Within this barakah and blessing, “Kullu amrin hakeem” – every wisdom and command. But who would tell us are the people of amr. They carry the alif and ‘Izzatullah (Allah’s (AJ) Might and Magnificence). They carry the meem and ‘izzatur Rasul (honour of the messenger) and they carry the reality of the ra, and these are the Rabbaniyoon (lordly souls) and the Ulul Amr. “Kulli amrin hakeem” – of every himkah and wisdom and command that’s coming from “Atiullah” to “Atiur Rasul wa Ulil amre minkum”.
﴾أَطِيعُواللَّه وَأَطِيعُوٱلرَّسُولَ وَأُوْلِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ… ﴿٥٩…
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat An-Nisa)
“… Obey Allah, Obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Allah (AJ) Grants Immense Forgiveness This Holy Night When We Come With Sincere Hearts
Because the command of Allah (AJ) comes from Allah (AJ) to the heart and the reality of Prophet ﷺ. It means like the floodgates of the heart of Prophet ﷺ within the entirety of Qur’an is flowing in Shab e Bara’ah and in the flowing of the Qur’an. The movement of these lights from the heart of the soul of Prophet ﷺ, of course, every amr will be included, every command is coming by the ‘izzah of Holy Qur’an. Every guidance is coming by the guidance of Holy Qur’an. Every reality is coming by the reality of the Holy Qur’an.
So, then Allah (AJ) gives to us this Shab e Bara’ah – this night of immense forgiveness, immense blessings. How could it not be a forgiveness when Divine Speech is gracing all of creation from the heart? For us to visualize is from Allah (AJ), like a fountain, opening through the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. What we described in the earlier verses “Ma in munhamirin”. That, ‘We’re going to send..’ Allah (AJ) used a different word in the previous verse of mai, the fountains of abundance will open.
﴾فَفَتَحْنَا أَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَاءٍ مُّنْهَمِرٍ ﴿١١
54:11 – “Fa fatahna abwaba al sama bi ma in munhamirin.” (Surat Al- Qamar)
“So We opened the gates of heaven, with water pouring forth.” (The Moon, 54:11)
All Realities of Holy Qur’an Were Revealed to Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ on Shab e Bara’ah
What is the fountains of abundance? One such immense abundance that’s flowing is Shab e Bara’ah. Those whom are in tariqah (spiritual path), those whom have a firmness in the tariqahs and the way of ishq and muhabbat of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, Allah (AJ) giving us in Surat Al-Dukhan the reality of Shab e Bara’ah. That this is a night in which the Qur’an, in its entirety and its haqqaiqs and realities, revealed to the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. When was that revealed? Only Allah (AJ) knows. What Allah (AJ) gave to us in Holy Qur’an ayatul kareem (the generous verse of Holy Qur’an)? “Allamal Qur’an. Khalaqal Insaan”.
Another clue in a different ayah that, ‘We are the ones whom taught the Qur’an and then created the form and insan (mankind).’ For me and you, but majorly for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That there’s a relationship between Allah (AJ) and Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. “Wa Allamal Qur’an” – ‘We have taught’.
﴾عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ ﴿٢﴾ خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ ﴿٣
55:2-3 – “Allamal Qur’an (2). Khalaqal Insaan (3).” (Surat Ar Rahman)
”It is He Who has taught the Qur’an. (2) He has created Mankind. (3)” (The Beneficent, 55: 2-3)
‘Ashiqeen Know Everything That Comes is By the Blessings and Grace Allah (AJ) Bestowed on Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
In another verse, Allah (AJ) describes: ‘He has been taught ﷺ from somebody whom shadeed ul quwwa, one whom is immense in power.’
﴾وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ ﴿٣﴾ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَىٰ ﴿٤﴾ عَلَّمَهُ شَدِيدُ الْقُوَىٰ ﴿٥
53:3-5 – “Wa ma yantiqu ‘anil hawa. (3) In huwa illa wahyun yooha. (4) ‘Allamahu shadeedul Quwa. (5)” (Surat An-Najm)
“Nor does he (Prophet Muhammad (s) speak from [his own] desire. (3) He is not but a revelation revealed. (4) He was taught by one Mighty in Power. (5)” (The Star, 53:3-5)
It means that Allah (AJ) bestows upon Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and the adab (manners) that we learned in all our life is that Prophet ﷺ we’re asking to bestow upon the Ulul Amr and ourselves. We’re not saying that Allah (AJ) going to send to us. Allah (AJ) reference is always Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. ‘Ashiqeen (lovers) and muhibbin (lovers of the way), they know where to stand in line. They don’t claim that they’re going in front of Prophet ﷺ, hasha. It’s a bad even thought in mannerisms. They understand that everything that comes to them is by the blessings and the grace that Allah (AJ) has bestowed upon Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
Recite Surah Al-Ikhlas Three Times in Each Rakah in Salatul Khair
So, in such a night in which to be and given the opportunity to be dressed by Holy Qur’an in all its entirety, all its tajallis, and all its realities. What they ask from us is that read Surat Al-Ikhlas. That in your Salatul Khair and all the awrads (daily practice) and zikrs that you do, the Salatul Khair that awliya (saints) recommend is recite 3 Ikhlas in every verse. 100 rak’ahs (cycles of prayer) is 50 sets. With three in every rak’ah becomes six. 6 by the 50 is as if reciting 300 Surat Al-Ikhlas. That if this is a night of the revealing of the secrets of Holy Qur’an because Allah (AJ) has no time, this is continuously being bestowed upon the realities of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
Those whom coming with this reality and understanding “Ha, Meem” is a key to Haqiqatul Muhammadiyah, that they’re asking through that haqqaiq and that reality to stand at the fountainhead of the heart of Prophet ﷺ, asking to be dressed by this night of forgiveness. That one: when the Qur’an comes and dresses, it takes away the sins of the servant, the badness of the servant and bestows all its majestic lights and blessings from the oceans of eternity, from the oceans of Kawthar (The Fountain of Abundance) upon the soul.
Every Three Recitations of Surah Al-Ikhlas is Equivalent to the Entirety of the Holy Qur’an
As a result of these lights and these blessings, awliyaullah (saints) recommend for us: pray Salatul Khair. There’s no way to draw closer to that Divinely Presence than in prayer. When you’re in your prayer, recite Surah Ikhlas. Every three Surah Ikhlas is as if you’ve completed the entirety of the Qur’an in your recitations. So, the fastest way to do khatm al Qur’an to recite the entire Qur’an – 3 Surat Al-Ikhlas. When we’re reciting 300 to 1,000 Surat Al-Ikhlas as if Allah (AJ) is granting us 100 khatms or 300 khatms. It means this is a night in which to recite as many Surat Al-Ikhlas as possible. With every three Surat Al-Ikhlas, the servant receives the rewards of the entirety of the Qur’an because this is the weight and the power of Surat Al-Ikhlas.
Fast on the 15th of Sha’ban to Receive the Tajallis of This Immense Night
In its day of the 15th, [it’s] recommended to fast because the only way to receive these tajallis (manifestations) is through the gift from Allah (AJ). So, it means this is a night of immense blessings, immense forgiveness, immense realities in which our lives were to be connected with these Ulul Amr. The benefit and barakah (blessings) of being with Ulul Amr, Allah (AJ) is continuously describing, “Kullu amrin hakeem”.
﴾فِيهَا يُفْرَقُ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ حَكِيمٍ ﴿٤
44:4 – “Feeha yufraqu kullu amrin hakeem” (Surat ad Dukhan)
“On that night (Night of Salvation/Middle of Sha’ban) every affair of wisdom is made distinct (everything is decreed)” (The Smoke, 44:4)
It means every wisdom, command, and knowledge is flowing from Allah (AJ) to the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and then to the heart of these Ulul Amr. They water and irrigate this Earth with this barakah and these blessings. By means of their presence upon the Earth is a barakah and blessings upon the Earth like a Divine water flowing. As it flows, Allah (AJ) gave the nation the Ulul Amr because they’re the connection from the heart of Prophet ﷺ. As a result, they are physical fountainheads of this reality. “Kullu amrin hakeem,” that every hikmah (wisdom) and command and wisdom flowing through their hearts.
Tie Your Realities to Those Who Associate Themselves With the Divinely Presence
Our life was to keep their company and to keep within their associations. This is again is in the immense power of muraqabah (spiritual connection) and your quantum entanglement. Entangle your light. Mix your light and band and banda khuda means make your some…someone in yourself that you’re tied to these realities by being in their presence, by being in this tajallis (manifestations), by being in your muraqabah (meditation) so that all of these emanations reach to our heart.
It, Allah (AJ) made it so easy for the nation to be with whom you love. If you love the right people, the good people, the people of Allah (AJ), then these tajallis (manifestations) are dressing upon the servants. These knowledges and realities are dressing upon the servants. As soon as we sit into the associations, their zikrs (Divine remembrance), their muraqabah (meditation), their teachings, this fountainhead from “Atiullah atiur Rasul wa Ulil amre minkum” is dressing the association.
أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنكُم… ﴿٥٩﴾ …
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Space and time is of no relevance. Wherever the person is dressing and connecting their heart, wherever the person is residing, sitting, meditating, connecting their hearts, they’re receiving these tajallis and emanations from the souls of these Ulul Amr whom are alive and they’re taking from the Ulul Amr whom are in Hayat al Barzakh (the Abode of the grave). They’re taking all the way to the Holy Companions, Ahlul Bayt and awliyaullah fis samayi wa fil ard (in the heavens and on earth) and all taking from the fountainhead of the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. This becomes an immense blessing and dressing.
Beware of Leaving Your Practices and Barakah – That is What Shaitan Wants for Us
It’s not something to be missed and it’s not something that the mind says, ‘I’ll do this. I’ll do that’. “Kullu amrin hakeem” (Holy Qur’an, 44:4) – that follow the command of these awliya (saints), the teachings of these awliya, the awrads and the zikrs of these awliya. Don’t let shaitan’s waswas (whispering) alter the recipe and change it because all the shaitan wants is for us to leave – leave the practice, leave the barakah, leave this night, leave that night, leave.
We don’t know which night we left that made us to leave everything. Every night has its immense blessing and immense dressing. Anyone who wants to be dressed by Holy Qur’an, Nisf e Sha’ban is Allah’s (AJ) key for the servant. That sit. This is a tajalli (manifestation) in which was anciently granted to the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Who will receive it are the ‘ashiqeen and muhibbin whom their immense love for Prophet ﷺ draws them to be near that reality.
Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is a Witness, Bearer of Glad Tidings and a Warner (Holy Qur’an, 33:45)
We said that the reality of Prophet ﷺ, “Shahidan, Mubashshiran wa Nazeeran”.
﴾يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ شَاهِدًا وَمُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا ﴿٤٥
33:45 – “Ya ayyuhan Nabiyu inna arsalnaka Shahidan wa Mubashshiran wa Nazeera.” (Surat Al-Ahzab)
“O Prophet, indeed We have sent you as a Witness and a Bearer of Glad Tidings and a Warner.” (The Combined Forces, 33:45)
The immensity of the love to Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is that he witnesses us. Mubashshiran, that continuously dressing us with tajallis (manifestations) and Divinely grace. Nazeeran, that he inspires within our heart, ‘Oh my son, sit and contemplate. This is an important night. One day, you may understand the realities of this night.’ So, alhamdulillah, they come into our lives and teach us: oh, this is an immense reality; not one day, but today. We understand that these are the immense realities of Holy Qur’an. Only those whom have a love for Allah (AJ), love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ because love for Allah (AJ) is not that you love Allah (AJ). True love for Allah (AJ) is your love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
You Don’t Love Allah (AJ) If Your Heart is Devoid of Love of Prophet ﷺ
When one’s heart is devoid of the love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, they don’t love Allah (AJ). Even they may think they’re mukhles (sincere). They think they’re believers, but if they don’t have love for Prophet ﷺ, Allah (AJ) deems they have no belief. Ah! Say, ‘Shaykh, are you sure?’ We read now, inshaAllah. Hajji Shahid, let’s get to…let’s go to ayah 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14, 10 through 14 please, Surah Dukhan.
Reciter: “A’uzu Billahi Minash shaitanir Rajeem Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem. Fartaqib Yawma ta’tis samaaa’u bi dukhaanin mubeen Yaghshan naasa haazaa ‘azaabun aleem Rabbanak shif ‘annal ‘azaaba innaa mu’minoon Annaa lahumuz zikraa wa qad jaaa’ahum Rasoolum mubeen Summaa tawallaw ‘anhu wa qaaloo mu’allamum majnoon”. SadaqAllahul aliyyul ‘azheem
فَارْتَقِبْ يَوْمَ تَأْتِي السَّمَاءُ بِدُخَانٍ مُّبِينٍ ﴿١٠﴾ يَغْشَى النَّاسَ ۖ هَٰذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ﴿١١﴾ رَّبَّنَا اكْشِفْ عَنَّا الْعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿١٢﴾ أَنَّىٰ لَهُمُ الذِّكْرَىٰ وَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مُّبِينٌ ﴿١٣﴾ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا مُعَلَّمٌ مَّجْنُونٌ ﴿١٤﴾
44:10-14 – “Fartaqib Yawma ta’tis samaaa’u bi dukhaanin mubeen (10) Yaghshan naasa haazaa ‘azaabun aleem (11) Rabbanak shif ‘annal ‘azaaba innaa mu’minoon (12) Annaa lahumuz zikraa wa qad jaaa’ahum Rasoolum mubeen (13) Summaa tawallaw ‘anhu wa qaaloo mu’allamum majnoon (14)”. (Surat Ad-Dukhan, 10-14)
“Then watch for the Day when the sky will bring a visible smoke. (10) Covering the people; this is a painful torment. (11) [They will say], “Our Lord, remove from us the torment; indeed, we are believers.” (12) How will there be for them a reminder [at that time]? And there had come to them a clear Messenger. (13) Then they turned away from him and said, “[He was] taught [and is] a madman.” (14)” (The Smoke, 10-14)
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: SadaqAllahul ‘azheem wa barakah Rasulul Kareem. Hajji Junaid verse 10, shaykh, let’s read verse by verse and go, inshaAllah.
Those Who Think They Believe are Astonished at Allah’s (AJ) Punishment (Holy Qur’an, 44:12)
Reciter: So you await the day when the sky will bring forth a visible smoke.
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: Dukhan, Prophet ﷺ described would be a horrific punishment from Allah (AJ) in which a smoke from the skies would come upon the flesh of people and would give them horrific boils and blisters, and that Allah (AJ) would describe that it is a very bad torment and very bad difficulty coming upon people. InshaAllah, next verse.
Reciter: Which will envelop the people, this is a painful punishment.
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: That’s pretty clear.
Reciter: Thereupon they will say, “Oh, Our Lord, remove the punishment from us, we now accept faith.” How is it possible for them to accept guidance whereas the noble messenger…
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: Hold on. Let’s go to 12 again.
Reciter: Thereupon they will say, “Oh, Our Lord, remove the punishment from us, we now accept faith.”
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: Yeah, that is added so that’s not what it says. What it says is, “Our Lord, relieve us from this torment, we’re believers.” Not we accept faith now after the punishment. But this torment is coming down and the person receiving the torment is asking Allah (AJ) that we’re believers – “Innaa mu’minoon.” They believe themselves that they’re mu’min. Allah (AJ) is giving to us this ‘azaab (punishment) is coming on them. Those whom believe that they’re believers but maybe they harm people, they kill people, they take pleasure in the torment and the destruction of people. They jump up and down and shout while they’re killing people with smiles of joy upon their faces. They think they believe in Allah (AJ). Allah (AJ) is giving for us: no, no, this is a torment coming down. This is a punishment coming down. Those people whom think they believe are astonished at the punishment that Allah (AJ) is putting upon them. Next one now.
Nothing Will Protect Those Who Degrade and Come Against the Message of Islam (Holy Qur’an, 44:13-14)
Reciter: How is it possible for them to accept guidance whereas a noble messenger who speaks clearly has already come to them?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: How could they be a people remembered when they didn’t accept Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ? When a messenger making things plain, it means they mocked the risalat (prophecy) of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. They did not accept the messengership of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Remember, we started this surah (chapter) with Haqiqatul Muhammadiyah. If somebody thinks they’re a mu’min (believer) and they wear on their neck across a star or they think they’re in Islam, your mu’min degree is not clean and final without the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
That, Allah (AJ) say, ‘How are you going to be a people remembered? How is it that you think you’re a mu’min and the clear message of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, you did not accept?’ It means what? Any time the lowering, the degrading, and the abasing and bringing down the message of Islam and the message of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and the station and maqam of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ opens a servant towards azaab and they will find nothing to protect them and no one to protect them.
Those Who Think They Believe But Have Horrific Actions Will Receive Allah’s (AJ) Azaab
Their character, astaghfirullah (I seek forgiveness from Allah (AJ)), Allah (AJ) adds to the degree of their insult. Says, ‘And they turn away from him, Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. They are taught by someone other than not a nice word’. It means they don’t even have a nice word to say for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. This is how Allah (AJ) is giving to us and clarifying that in these last days, when ‘ulama (scholars) are describing dukhan, dukhan, dukhan has not yet come and the recipients of dukhan, Allah (AJ) is clarifying that they’re going to be people who think they believe in all the people’s faiths in all the world religions.
Each one thinks themself a mu’min (believer). But the only mu’min that Allah (AJ) cares for is the one who accepted Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ because they’re taught by rahmah (mercy) and grace. Now people can see with their eyes how these people think they believe and how horrific they treat people. When will Allah’s (AJ) judgment come? Allah (AJ) is giving to us, ‘Oh, My judgment’s coming.’ Those people who mock and think that they have belief in the horrific actions that they do with their professed or proclaimed belief is no belief at all. They’re the recipients of Allah’s (AJ) azaab (punishment) in dunya (material world) and in akhirah (hereafter).
Our Only Safety in Life is Through Our Sincere Love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
Our life’s safety is with the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ that gives to us good character, that gives to us the umbrella of rahmah and mercy. In last few months, all we’ve been reading is how Allah (AJ) is very stern in protecting the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That don’t turn away from zikr. Don’t turn away from the associations. Don’t turn away from Prophet ﷺ. Go and ask him for forgiveness. Don’t turn your back and say, ‘I don’t need.’ All of these characteristics that we see on the Earth now.
If we post something beatific and loving about Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, how many people come out and say ridiculous things? They don’t read the Qur’an and they don’t think that Allah (AJ) is going to punish. All the ‘ulama (scholars) are waiting for dukhan (smoke). What is it that’s going to fill the skies with smoke? Because war and punishment, Allah (AJ) describes, ‘I’m going to punish you and clean you by the hands of men whom have no mercy.’
True Mu’min are Those With Immense Ishq for Prophet ﷺ
It means they punish each other. When one is inspired to punish another servant, this such punishment that coming is a smoke upon humanity, some sort of a difficulty upon them, but upon a people whom think they believe in that they’re mu’min (believer). The only mu’min because it has a meem are those whom have ishq and muhabbat and love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. By means of that love, they should be conducting themselves accordingly. They should be following the way of Prophet ﷺ. They should be adhering to whatever Prophet ﷺ brought for them to the best of their ability and to follow the ways of “Khuluqal ‘azheem.” That ‘You’re of a magnificent character’.
﴾وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ ﴿٤
68:4 – “Wa innaka la’ala khuluqin ‘azheem.” (Surat Al-Qalam)
“Truly, You (O Muhammad!) are of a magnificent character.” (The Pen, 68:4)
The good character brings the rahmah (mercy) and the blessings of Allah (AJ). Badness and being happy and torment and grief and the suffering of people is horrific. People don’t even have a smiling face when animals are being hurt. How when humans are being hurt, they’re cheering? We pray that Allah (AJ) protect us and that Allah (AJ) keep us under the loving umbrella and the shade of the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, his Holy Family, and his Holy Companions, awliyaullah fis samayi wa fil ard.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa ﷺ wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
