Nisf e Sha’ban Realities
From the Realities of Mawlana Shaykh (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi.
A’udhu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the rejected one
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Nisf e Sha’ban is a Gate of Forgiveness
That Nisf e Sha’ban has immense, immense blessings, that all creation from the ocean of Muhammadan RasulAllah ﷺ, and the realities from La ilaha illAllah Muhammadan RasulAllah. These 90 days in which the seed is planted in Rajab. That seed, of wanting to be known, is Allah’s (AJ) Will for this reality to appear. That reality appears with the reality of Shaban. And it begins to be watered, that seed, that light, and that reality. By Ramadan is its manifestation. So, means that, between these 90 days, that mid-point of 45 days, has a tremendous reality. So, like the, where the two rivers meet. Before this ocean is about to manifest, right there in that reality of Hu.
Means, immense, immense realities of the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That, it is a Baab al Maghfirah, it’s a gate, it’s a forgiveness in which Allah (AJ) asking, is there any servants that are asking forgiveness, asking my forgiveness? This is the night in which to grant. And as a result, as a reality of that light and that spiritual new year, it means Allah (AJ) is writing upon that soul. Everything that going to manifest, every rizq going to come, everything that going to come, or everything that going to go.
Ask For Magfirah Continuously
So, as a result of our asking for maghfirah, forgiveness, Ya Rabbi forgive me. Let me to repent for all my wrongs and all my badness, that grant me a goodness Ya Rabbi, grant me my rizq and my sustenance free from asking of anyone. Grant me my Islam, my iman wal maqamul Ihsan (faith and station of excellection) and perfection. Grant me the faith of those whom I love, Ya Rabbi, strong faith. A strong love, and that open for me this oceans of yaqeen (certainty). So, means that these next few nights are the nights in which we’re asking Allah (AJ), through the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, Ya Rabbi, grant us that forgiveness, grant us the forgiveness of everything that we’ve done, knowingly done wrong and unknowingly have done wrong to have angered you, or upset you in any way, Ya Rabbi.
That, like children, we’re coming to you, as children in your way. That, not, not asking to be responsible for ourselves. That, Ya Rabbi, we’re nothing, we’re nothing like little children, but what we do have is a tremendous love, love for this way, love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Based on that love, Ya Rabbi, grant us your oceans of forgiveness. Open the gates of rahmah (mercy), the rain of rahmah. This means the seed was Rajab, and Prophet ﷺ is the rain of rahmah. That grant us from that rain of rahmah. That in every way this rain of immense ishq, immense love, immense mercy, to dress us from that light. That is the light of Prophet ﷺ.
Feel the Muhammadan Light Touch Your Soul!
That when you’ve been touched by that love, you have been touched by Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Just the nazar (gaze) of Prophet ﷺ upon any soul, immense crying, immense crying and outpourings within the soul. Why? Why people say, ‘Oh Shaykh I was all of a sudden meditating and tafakkur, and contemplation, and immense, I started to cry.’ Unknowing, not even knowing because the vision may not be strong enough to see the, the gaze and the vision of Prophet ﷺ upon them. But awliyaullah (saints) come into our life, that anytime that Muhammadan light begin to touch this soul, this immense outpouring begins into the soul. One for the forgiveness of, Ya Rabbi, what, forgive me for everything I’ve done, that I didn’t accomplish what You wanted me to accomplish. And the immense rahmah (mercy) and love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ that begins to outpour and dress upon the soul. InshaAllah, Allah (AJ) open for us these realities and that by means of these awliyaullah to uplift us. When we surround ourself in the life, and in the presence of these awliyaullah (saints), their lights are shining from the lights of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. So, that we can feel that presence and feel that love, inshaAllah.
Awliyaullah describe that the Holy Qur’an in its entirety was revealed to Sayyidina Mahdi (as) on Nisf e Sha’ban. It means that he was revealed and sent with entire of Holy Qur’an upon his soul and his heart and that it has an immense reality and blessings of Holy Qur’an. By the reality of that reality, every maghfirah, every forgiveness is granted. And to reach to the reality of Holy Qur’an, we go to manzil e Quran, to the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That we want what Allah (AJ) is manifesting and giving because Allah (AJ) has no time. So, every time this Nisf e Sha’ban comes, it’s a tajjali (manifestation) in which that reality dressed upon the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, from Alamal Qur’an, Khalaqal Insan. That Prophet ﷺ was taught all realities upon his holy soul.
55:2-3 – “Allamal Qur’an (2). Khalaqal Insaan (3).” (Surat Ar Rahman)
”It is He Who has taught the Qur’an. (2) He has created Mankind. (3)” (The Beneficent, 55: 2-3)
Allah (AJ) is the Only Teacher for Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
Allamahu fi shadeedul Quwa, Surat al Najm.
53:5 – “‘Allamahu shadeedul Quwa.” (Surat An-Najm)
“He was taught by one Mighty in Power.” (The Star, 53:5)
Allah (AJ) describes that this reality of Prophet ﷺ was taught by someone who is immense in power, that Allah (AJ), that there is no teacher for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. When we say ummi, not unlettered, incorrect adab (manners). But that no teacher was qualified to teach the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, but his Lord. Allah (AJ) is the only teacher for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
That bayna alif and meem, there is no teacher. There is no one who can take the ear of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, but Allah (AJ). That’s why samina wa atana (Qur’an, 2:285). That’s why the reality of YaSeen, that the yaqeen (certainty) and the perfection of hearing because nobody was talking into the ear of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Nobody taught Prophet ﷺ, but Allah (AJ) directly. Based on that reality, these are the gates of forgiveness and dress of Holy Qur’an, dressing of new year. InshaAllah, we have for Sayyidina Mahdi (as).
Believe You Are Nothing to Reach Closer to Prophet ﷺ
Spiritual practices, that not built upon the amal (actions) and the awrads (daily practices) and the zikr (remembrance) – these are all extra. These are the refining and the gifts, the candy you put on top. But the way is based on spiritual practices. It means that when we close our eyes at all times and say, Ya Rabbi, I’m nothing, nothing, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and that I want to be at Rauza Sharif. I want to be at the Rauza and at the feet of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, and I’m nothing, I’m nothing, I’m nothing.
And then Allah (AJ) inspire you and guide you to the guides. And then you say Ya Rabbi, that I want to be in their presence at all times. And through their face and through their presence is that Nur Muhammad ﷺ is coming out. And that to know their names, know their spiritual names, that call upon their names. Each name has a tajalli (manifestation). Each name has a reality and that to be dressed from that reality and blessed by that reality. That, Ya Rabbi, let me to draw near into that presence. That I’m nothing, and I’m nothing, I’m nothing.
The Mi’raj for Awliya is in Real-Time
When you truly believe you’re nothing, you don’t stress on all of these other issues. That when you stress about exactly how much was the count of this, how much was the recitation of this, what was this, what was that. Some people don’t even accept the day that awliyaullah (saints) say is the Mi’raj (ascension), as if they’re going by, ‘Oh, I have to follow this country. I have to follow.’ You follow any country, anyone you want. But the Mi’raj for awliyullah is real and in real-time. They’re moving and they see. They see their Lord with the eye of their heart. They’re not blind people. It means what come to them, come first to them, then to the people. Because it goes from atiullah to atiur Rasul which means every tajjali (manifestation) must come to the heart and soul of Prophet ﷺ. From Prophet ﷺ, goes to wa ulil amri minkum.
(Surat An-Nisa)
“O You who have believed, Obey Allah, Obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Your Actions Do Not Count As Much As Your Sincere Love
So, all the ulil amr (saints) now on Earth, those who have passed. It must come to them, the tajalli, then filter through them to all the people. So, means that our life is to seek them, to be with them, to eat with them, to pray with them. And this way of muhabbat and ishq (love) they talk about, not a way of hardness and firmness. The hardness and firmness is like a stick. And when they came, this was the whole teaching of Sayyidina Jalaluddin Rumi (q) and Shams Tabrizi (q). That you’re too rigid in your understanding, and you’re so rigid that, if we bend you, you’re going to crack. And that your understanding has to have flexibility. That you have to have a flexibility.
And now awliyaullah (saints) is like an adaptability, for the area that you go, the people you talk, the conditions that you’re involved in. That you know it’s not those amals (actions) that going to save and raise anyone, and the only amal that is important for them is love. If somebody deficient in their salat (prayer), deficient in their zakat (charity), deficient in their sawm (fasting), deficient in their usool, in covering, and wearing, or whatever they’re doing. If they have love and they accompany these awliya (saints) and these ulema (scholars) with love and muhabbat, they’re already in the presence of Prophet ﷺ. You, if you didn’t have that ni’mat (blessing) and you prayed so perfect, fasted so perfect, many lifetimes it would take you to reach to that presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Because it’s not that amal (actions) that opens that door, but love those whom are loved by them.
Your Only Cave of Safety is the Heart of Prophet ﷺ
It means that was the secret we started at the beginning of the year with A’udhu Billah. You know before you open the secrets of Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, you first have to understand what is A’udhu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem.
A’udhu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the rejected one
Where am I going to run for Allah’s (AJ) Protection from shaitan? It’s, that’s why Sayyidina Abdul Qadir Jilani (q) told his students, go and slaughter this chicken where you don’t think Allah (AJ) is watching. Where are you going to run that shaitan not going to attack you? Look here, look there, look there. No! They taught early in the way. Their only safety is the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That is your cave. That is your destination. How are we going to get there? So easy. The destination is the heart of Prophet ﷺ.
Come to the Gate of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ to Achieve Forgiveness
So, for us to even visualize Allah’s (AJ) Immense Grace is we’re not looking for a prophet’s cup and a sandal somewhere on this Earth, and we don’t have to make a movie trying to search for a cup. Didn’t they make a movie in search of the Holy Grail? We have the whole body of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It’s not hidden for us, it’s not a mystery for us. If anybody wants, go to Madinatul Munawara. You have the owner of entire created universe, he’s just lying there. Even now with Google, you can search. You see the Rauza Sharif with the holy body of the owner of all created universe and just visualize yourself, ‘Ya Rabbi, I’m holding. I’m not leaving this destination. I’m not leaving until Prophet ﷺ pity upon me and he gaze upon me, not look and hear me. Unzur halana wa ishfalana, ishfalana Ya Sayyidi Ya Rasul ul Karrem, that gaze upon me. You’re the owner of mercy and rahmah. If your gaze falls upon me, Allah (AJ) will be satisfied and happy with me. It’s very easy. There is no hidden destination. Everything is to go straight to that gate, cry at that gate, and keep making excessive salawats (praisings).
Make excessive salawats to get the attention of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, the love and the nazar (gaze) of Prophet ﷺ. Every difficulty be taken away, because they’re asking, now how to achieve this maghfirah (forgiveness)? How to achieve Laylatul Nisf e Sha’ban (Night of Mid Sha’ban)? Very easy. Come to the gate of Prophet ﷺ. You should find that maghfirah (forgiveness) dressing upon Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. How to share in what’s coming of lights and realities through Prophet ﷺ? Make salawats (praisings) on Prophet ﷺ. So, that night and every night, we make excessive amounts of salawat, Allahumma salli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammad wa ala aali Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
“Allahumma salli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Sayyidina Muhammadin wa Sallim.”
“O Allah! Send Peace and blessings upon our master Prophet Muhammad and upon the Family of our master Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)”
Laylatul Bara’ah is Spent in Excessive Amounts of Praisings
Because whatever dress is upon Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, as soon as you make a salawat (praising), Prophet ﷺ says, I come to give you 10.
Qala Rasulullah (saws): “Man Salla `alaiya Salatan wahidatan, Sallallahu `alayhi `ashra Salawatin, wa Huttat `anhu `ashru khaTeatin, wa ruf`at lahu `ashru darajatin.”
Prophet Muhammad (saws) said: “Whoever sends blessings [Praises] upon me, God will shower His blessings upon him ten times, and will erase ten of his sins, and elevate [raise] his [spiritual] station ten times.” [Hadith recorded by Nasa’i]
If you know that night, all these lights are coming, that night spend it in excessive amounts of praisings upon Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Because whatever coming to Prophet ﷺ going to begin to dress the servant and bless the servant. And you find yourself moving into that reality. Means this is such a simple formula, but people have a roundabout way to make everything difficult. They put their hand all the way around their hand to reach to the mouth.
Awliyaullah See Their Souls Within Prophet’s ﷺ Heart
But awliyaullah (saints) come into our life, make very simple. You want to achieve Lailatul Bara’ah? Be with ashiqeen (lovers) who love Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Spend the night in Mawlid (celebration of Prophet’s ﷺ birth), in Milad and in praisings of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It’s not the awrads and the, and the prayers that going to get you, your salvation, but to find yourself in the heart of Prophet ﷺ. Then imagine, these awliyaullah (saints) who have so much love and their continuous salawats (praisings) of Prophet ﷺ. When they prayed, they’re praying inside the heart of Prophet ﷺ. Don’t let them say these things on TV. But their soul, they see their soul inside Prophet ﷺ, and that’s why sahabi (companions), when they would make a vow, they say, ‘I swear by the one who holds my soul in his hand.’ Who? They saw themselves in Allah’s (AJ) hands?
Or they saw the ruhaniyat (Divine lights) of Prophet ﷺ is huge and immense and they saw themselves praying on his hands. To show that mayyad, my hand is the hand of power, and that you’re just a light manifesting on my hand. They understood and they’ve seen the reality. They know where they are in that reality of the light of Prophet’s ﷺ soul. InshaAllah Allah (AJ) dress us and bless us. With that salawat (praising), that everything to be taken and difficulty to be taken, and to feel the nearness and the sweetness of that reality Ya Rasul ul Kareem, Jaan e Rahmah. That this is Baab ar-Rahmah (door of mercy). Ya Rabbi, we praise upon that reality, Wa maa arsalnaka illa Rahmatan lil ‘aalameen, I wouldn’t have sent but this is the Baab ar-Rahmah. And when you praise upon him ﷺ, all that he gives you is Divine Mercy and Rahmah. No difficulty.
21:107 – “Wa maa arsalnaka illa Rahmatal lil’alameen.” (Surat Al-Anbiya)
“And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad (pbuh)], except as a mercy to the worlds/creation.” (The Prophets, 21:107)
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ Cleanses Us From Difficulties of Dunya
The dunya (material world) gave you the difficulty, Prophet ﷺ is here to wash it and clean it. The dunya and shaitan (satan) gave the difficulty for insan (human being), made them to sin, made them to do bad that everything became difficult in their life. But the door of rahmah (mercy) never gives anything but sweetness. Sweetness and kindness, a kindness that beyond imagination that I feel ashamed for who I am and what I have done. And what you’ve given to me is immense love and mercy, and raise my status high just by my love for you. My love for you is enough for Allah (AJ) to take every barrier away and to grant every maqam.
The maqam that Allah (AJ) gives to ashiqeen (lovers) is that Prophet ﷺ sits upon a throne of immensity. So, Arsh ar-Rahman, when they see in their Salatul Jummah (Friday prayer), that Prophet ﷺ is sitting upon a throne and just billions of rows of people are in salat (prayer). And Prophet ﷺ is sitting on the throne and they’re just dots in billions. As soon as the salat ends, everything vanishes and moves into the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It’s that rahmah and that mercy is an infinite dress upon the souls. It’s unimaginable, that love. It’s never anything that can be even described. Oh, how to be achieved? By doing the durood e sharif. Allahumma salli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammad wa ala aali Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ opens all that dress and all those realities. Not to think that you’re going to achieve it by anything else. Only that love can bring that reality.
“Allahumma salli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Sayyidina Muhammadin wa Sallim.”
“O Allah! Send Peace and blessings upon our master Prophet Muhammad and upon the Family of our master Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)”
Our Love of Prophet ﷺ Inspires Actions to Seek His Attention
In the old time, not the new madhab, the old time, they were going for their umrah and their hajj (pilgrimage) to be in the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. They pay their debts and they settle themself that they’re going to die on this journey. It was not a nice beautiful airplane that you go there with your first-class ticket. You took your camel and your ride, or you walk. And you walked months, even years. And they settled themself – they’re going to die on their arrival to see Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That the, that love was pulling them towards that presence. That they would die along the path. It means the adab (manners) of moving our whole lives to get the attention of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That’s where we’re going to make our difficulty. Allah (AJ) teaches awliyaullah (saints) how to balance it. If flight is easy, then take a life of difficulty and trying to reach Prophet ﷺ. It means do whatever you can to get the attention of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It means that come and do khidmat (service) for awliyaullah (saints) and pious people who are Ahbab an Nabi ﷺ. Everything they’re doing, every type of product they put out, every type of effort they put, it’s to get the attention of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. When you’re with them, support them, act like them, imitate them, you gain the attention of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. And that is the source of all blessings and barakah, inshaAllah.
Pious People Are Reflections of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
Pious people is that don’t make a Buddha out of their name. Don’t make them of an importance beyond what they are. It’s that they’re the reflection of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. The focus should be on Prophet ﷺ, not them. They’re merely a flute, a vehicle, a means in which Allah (AJ) through their love when they lost and died, they also had Inshirah. They also had Surat al Inshirah.
94:1-8 – “Alam nashrah laka sadrak. (1) Wa wada’na ‘anka wizrak. (2) Alladhee anqada zhahrak. (3) Wa rafa’na laka dhikrak. (4) Fainna ma’al ‘usri yusran. (5) Inna ma’al ‘usri yusra. (6) Fa idha faraghta fainsab. (7) Wa ila rabbika farghab. (8)” (Surat Ash-Sharh)
“Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your Chest? (1) And We removed from you your burden. (2) Which had weighed upon your back. (3) And raised high for you your repute. (4) For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. (5) Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. (6) So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship]. (7) And to your Lord direct [your] longing. (8)” (The Relief, 94:1-8)
In their way they witnessed, their heart was changed. And upon their heart, Allah (AJ) wrote “RasulAllah”. That, that light and that presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ begin to dress them. Then how to use them for that benefit is the light that comes from them and emits from them, talk to Prophet ﷺ. That, when you’re in their presence that you’re asking, ‘Ya Sayyidi Ya Rasul ul Kareem, dress me from that light, that dressing. Keep me in the presence of that lights that, dressing us. That grant me means that you build your dialogue.’ Your love for Prophet ﷺ by the means of their presence, not only your love for them. Your, your respect for them, so that you can digest the material, the knowledges, the way. But, they’re a means, they’re the wasila. Because of whom they love, they emit that love. When Prophet ﷺ describe, ‘You be with whom you love.’
Qala Rasulullah (saws): “Almar o, ma’a man ahab.”
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “One is with those whom he loves.”
The other way of reading that is ‘whom you love will always be with you.’ So, if they achieve that hadith and there is no finite. There’s a continuous, that you be with whom you love. When they love Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ that much, the presence of Prophet ﷺ is loving them. That which you focus on, focuses on you. So, the whole tawajju (focusing) of Prophet ﷺ is upon them. The love of Prophet ﷺ because they’re ashiqeen (lovers), Prophet ﷺ is ashiqeen of them. That I love them. They’re my Ahbab, they’re my lovers. They love me, and I love them.
‘An Ansi bin Malik Qala, Qala Rasulullahi (saws):“Mata alqa ahbabiyu?
Faqala Ashabuhu: bi abina anta wa amnan, aw lasna ahbabuk?
Faqala: Antum Ashabiyun, ahbabiyun: qawmun lam yarweni, wa aamano bi, wa ana ilayhim bil ashwaqi aksara.”
Based on Anas Ibn Malik, the messenger of Allah said: “When would I meet my beloveds?
The companions said: O’ by our fathers and mothers, aren’t we your beloveds?
The prophet (pbuh) said: you are my companions. My beloveds are those who had never seen me, and believed in me, and I am deeply longing for them”.
[Narrated in Musnad Alferdaus (4/148).]
When We Show Respect to Awliyaullah, We Show Respect to Prophet ﷺ
As a result, that light is flowing. So, the use of that way is that when I sit, to talk with Prophet ﷺ, that dress me from that light that emanating. This is like a flower pot. They’re like a vase. Don’t come and, you know, put too much emphasis on the vase. But the flower and the beauty that is emanating from it is what is important. By using them, their spiritual names, to be dressed by the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That, in that association, Ya Sayyidi Ya Rasul ul Kareem, I know that you see me, and this light coming through them, this light blessing through them. Even the muhabbat (love) and the action that you do for them, when you’re doing a kind gesture for them, and showing ihtiram and respect, it shouldn’t be with the intention for them. It should be for the intention to Prophet ﷺ. I’m kissing his hand, not for him, he doesn’t need anybody to kiss him. I’m kissing the hand of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It means our whole life this was our training. The ihtiram and the respect we showed for every insan (human being) that needs to be respected. But you had to imitate their life until it became real. You had to say this is something holy for me, ya Rabbi. I keep it in, in such a respect of holiness as if I’m in the, in the presence of Prophet ﷺ. If I keep that ihtiram, that tashreef, the honour and the respect, that which you imitate becomes real for you.
Keep the Company of Pious Guides – Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is Always With Them
So, when pious people look at other pious people, they can see the light that transmitting from them. If they have to see that presence, they see the presence of the Grandshaykhs through them because you’re looking with the light of the heart. With this light and this emanation coming through. I need someone in my life to practice with. I can’t just negate everybody, and everybody is bad. I have to say everybody is good, and Ya Rabbi, these ones are special for me. That they’re like the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ for me. I didn’t live in that time. Let me to make it now for me. Let me to be like a companion. Let me to give my life, my Qul inna salati wa nusuki, wa mahyaya wa mamati lillahi Rabbil ‘Aalamin. Let me to accompany them, serve them, be with them, eat with them, pray with them, just as sahabi (companions) were praying.
6:162 – “Qul inna salati wa nusuki wa mahyaya wa mamati lillahi Rabbil ‘Aalamin. (162) (Surat Al-An’am)
Say, “Indeed, my prayer, my services of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds.” (The Cattle, 6:162)
Because at least they carried this ishq and love of Prophet ﷺ, that Prophet ﷺ is always accompanying them. When I have that intention, Prophet ﷺ will reveal himself. He’s not hiding to be hidden. He’s hiding to wait for the good character and the good manners. Why to have a treasure to be hidden? When that love comes, they begin to feel an immense love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Many visions, many thoughts, many, many ruhaniyat (Divine lights), many khashf (spiritual vision) begin to come. Because they made something to be holy.
Practice Your Faith With Sincerity
So, Mawlana Shaykh described, ‘Oh, he had like a garden and he made a door. And in that door, he entered.’ It’s your faith. It’s the practices that they were taught that makes it your faith. Your faith is not something that is over there, it’s something you make. You say, this is my iman (faith), ya Rabbi. I’m going to act on this iman (faith) and Allah (AJ) going to say, ‘If you act on it in sincerity, I’ll make it happen.’ So, when we would meditate, I would put my water. I would put the salt rock, salt for healing, and we would make a whole place what we were doing. And I would believe that all the angels are coming, all the pious people are coming. Why wouldn’t they not come? If my faith is saying they come, Allah (AJ) say, ‘Why he’s waiting like that? But why are you going to make him to suffer for?’ But they made their practices to be real with sincerity. Then, Allah (AJ) began to reward them. And the greatest reward is that love. That love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ that they feel within their entire being, InshaAllah.
A Drop of Muhammadan Light Changes Every Atom and Molecule It Touches
Reality of light and its affect. So, for us to just understand, imagine that, everything is like a white water, clear glass of water. And, if the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ enters, like a drop of green. It will change the color of the entire water. That light of Prophet ﷺ because of its superiority of light of what Allah (AJ) dressed the spectrum of the light of Prophet ﷺ, whatever it touches, like grafting, it will change everything. It will change your entire light as soon as the light of Prophet ﷺ begin to enter. So, like a cup of water. We’re just coming white, inshaAllah, cleaning our water. If Prophet ﷺ drop his light like a drop of water of a green beautiful spring, it makes the whole water to be blessed. Now, imagine the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ with its power, its reality. As soon as it shines onto something, the light, its atoms, its molecules, change every atom and molecule that it touches and make it to be Muhammadiyun because of haq (truth). When Allah (AJ) describes, when the haq comes, falsehood perishes.
17:81 – “Wa qul jaa alhaqqu wa zahaqal baatil, innal batila kana zahoqa.” (Surat Al-Isra)
“And say, Truth has come, and falsehood has perished. Indeed falsehood, [by its nature], is ever perishing/bound to perish.” (The Night Journey, 17:81)
And falsehood is always perishing. Anything manifesting other than that pure haq (truth) and the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ comes and shines on something, it, for eternity, changes the spectrum of that light. But because we’re not thinking from that, we think from the world of form. We don’t really understand, you know, what is this affect of light when they spray this light, when this light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is coming out?
Power is in the Presence, Light, and Reality of the Prophets
As soon as when Prophet ﷺ sat on the tree stump, it changed the reality of that tree and the zikr (remembrance) and the tasbih of that tree. If Sayyidina Yusuf’s (as) shirt had so much power and barakah (blessings), that as the shirt was just coming close to the presence of Sayyidina Yaqub (as), his father, his eyesight came back. By the time, he was smelling the pheromones and the reality of that shirt because this is a nur (light) from a nabi (prophet).
12:94 & 96 – “Wa lamma fasalati al’eeru qala abohum innee laajidu reeha yosufa, lawla an tufannidon.” (94) “Falamma an jaa albasheeru alqahu ‘ala wajhihi, fartadda baseeran, qala alam aqul lakum innee a’lamu mina Allahi ma la ta’lamon.” (96) (Surat Yusuf)
“When the caravan left (Egypt), their father said: “I do indeed scent the presence of Joseph: if you did not think me weakened in mind. (94) “And when the bearer of good tidings arrived, he cast it over his face, and he returned [once again] seeing. He said, “Did I not tell you that I know from Allah that which you do not know?” (96) (Joseph, 12:94 & 96)
This means that the power of a prophet is not only in their presence, but the light and the reality is shining from them. So, in this world of light when we try to understand this barakah (blessings) and tabarak and all these realities, this light of Prophet ﷺ shines on everything. When that hair of Prophet ﷺ comes out, it shines on all the molecules and atoms of the fabric, the wood, the room. Everything around is being dressed by that light. And for all of eternity, that stays blessed with that light. That tabarak never goes, that hasanat never goes. Allah (AJ) doesn’t turn it back into something bad, it’s blessed.
Now imagine the hearts of people whom have the love of Prophet ﷺ. Why the tariqa (spiritual path) is based on adab (manners) and ihtiram (respect)? Because this light, through their eyes, is shining out. This light, through their ears, is shining out. This light, through their tongue, is reaching out. This light, through their hands, is moving out. This light on their feet is making their qadam (foot) to move in that way. Everything about that vehicle is shining nurul anwar wa sirratul asrar – they are the light of every secret and the secret of every light. That reality doesn’t open until they see the ihtiram. They see the respect, they see the tashreef and that respect. Otherwise could you imagine, something opening, and then you’re disrespecting and attacking Prophet ﷺ?
Be Firm in Your Love Like the Evergreen Tree
That’s why then the tariqas (spiritual paths) were based on adab (manners). That keep the adab, keep the way of sincerity, keep the way of khushya within your heart. That, that ihtiram (respect) and then that light begin to dress you and bless you. When they feel that that understanding is strong enough, you begin to see what they want you to see. But what would be the purpose if you don’t have that level of ihtiram and respect? Because this way, love is based on respect. There can be nobody who says they love and they don’t have respect. The respect is the biproduct of sincere love, not dunya (material world) love. What Allah (AJ) is talking about is heavenly love. That we tested you, we tried you, we insulted you, we flipped you up, we flipped you down. This ishq (love) has istiqam (firmness).
Your, their love, is like a tree that goes deep into the ground, like the evergreen. That doesn’t matter what season, what wind, what tufan (storm), all these salawats (praisings). What wind and what storm comes, they standing firm. It’s a deep-rooted love and has immense ihtiram and respect. As a result, Allah (AJ) because of their respect, granted them the reality of love. And that, that light and that tashreef (honour), because of their respect, Allah (AJ) opens for them, the horizon of their vision. That we know you’re going to respect what I’m about to show you. You’re not going to come against it. Summa ammanu, summa kafaru where Mawlana Shaykh describe, ‘One day they believe, one day they disbelief.’
4:137 – “Innal ladheena amano thumma kafaro thumma amano thumma kafaroo thumma izdado kufran lam yakuni Allahu liyaghfira lahum wa la liyahdiyahum sabeela.” (Surat An-Nisa)
“Indeed, those who have believed then disbelieved, then believed, then disbelieved, and then increased in disbelief – Allah won’t forgive them, nor will He guide them on a path/way.” (The Women, 4:137)
One day, they belief, one day they…you can’t do that with Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. You do it to the other people for training. But they want to reach to a place where they have to reach, the level of belief and respect is so strong, and so sincere, that Allah (AJ) begin to show. That as soon as you enter in their presence, they see the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. They see the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, and they see all the signs that are around that light. Why? Because of the respect that they raised with, with the respect and the character that they were taught. That opens all the doors of that sincerity, inshaAllah.
