أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ. Madad ya Sayyidi ya Rasulul Kareem, Ya Habibul ‘Azeem, unzur halana wa ishfa’lana, ‘abidona bi madadikum wa nazarekum.

Atiullah wa atiur Rasul wa Ulil amre minkum. Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.

أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنكُم… ﴿٥٩﴾‏ …

4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)

“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)

Surah an-Nasr & Surah ‘Ali Imran and the Events of Battle of Badr

(١) إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّـهِ وَالْفَتْحُ

﴾٢‎‎﴿ وَرَأَيْتَ النَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًا 

﴾٣‎﴿ فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَاسْتَغْفِرْهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ تَوَّابًا

110:1-3 – “Idha jaa a Nasrullahi wal Fath (1). Waraayta annasa yadkhuloonafee deeni Allahi afwaja (2) Fasabbih bihamdi rabbika wastaghfirhu innahu kana tawwaba (3).” (Surat an-Nasr)

“When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest. (1) And you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes. (2) Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance. (3)” (The Divine Support, 110:1-3)

SadaqAllahul ‘Aliyyul ‘Azim. SadaqAllahul Azeem wa barakah Rasulul kareem.

This is the reward of the reality of Ahlul Badr then Allah’s (AJ) description of the event of Ahlul Badr is Surah 3, verse 13. So the reality of 313 – the 313 companions of Ahlul Badr inshaAllah. So, Ali’ Imran 13 inshaAllah.

قَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ آيَةٌ فِي فِئَتَيْنِ الْتَقَتَا ۖ فِئَةٌ تُقَاتِلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَأُخْرَىٰ كَافِرَةٌ يَرَوْنَهُم مِّثْلَيْهِمْ رَأْيَ الْعَيْنِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ يُؤَيِّدُ بِنَصْرِهِ مَن يَشَاءُ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّأُولِي الْأَبْصَار ﴿١٣﴾‏ ‎

3:13 – “Qad kana lakum ayatun feefi-atayni iltaqata fi-atun tuqatilu fee sabeeli Allahiwaokhra kafiratun yarawnahum mithlayhim ra’yaalAAayni wallahu yu-ayyidu binasrihi manyashao inna fee thalika laAAibratan li- ulil al-absar” (Surah Ali ‘Imran)

“Already there has been for you a sign in the two armies which met – one fighting in the cause of Allah and another of disbelievers. They saw them [to be] twice their [own] number by [their] eyesight. But Allah supports with His victory whom He wills. Indeed, in that is a lesson for those of vision.” (Family of Imran, 3:13)

SadaqAllahul Azeem wa barakah Rasulul kareem.

That from the immense reality of Ahlul Badr that Allah (AJ) in ayatul kareem (generous verse of Holy Qur’an) describes their event: ‘It had come to you already a sign in this battle of the two armies. One fighting in the way of Allah (AJ) with their immense love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, and the other resisting Allah (AJ). As a result, they saw with their own eyes twice the number of the believing army.’ That their eyes saw the army of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ as immense and overwhelming to them. ‘But Allah supports with His aid and with His support whom He pleases’ – His supporting of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. ‘And this a warning for such who have eyes to see.’ That Ahlul Basirah (the people whose hearts are opened) that their eyes of their heart to see and to understand its immense realities. That Allah (AJ) describing the event and the reality of these holy companions how much they were supported. How much the enemy of Allah will be bewildered with their eyes and with all their senses. They are all under the subjugation of Allah (AJ) – the dominion of Allah (AJ).

That in that event we’ve taught many times that Prophet ﷺ was to test his holy companions – 313 of these holy companions. The test was that, ‘We are going to get a caravan that had all the wealth of Mecca, come with me. Lighten your armour, not prepared for battle. It should be easy for us to go and get this caravan and take what is required to take of it.’ So, it means it was a of a dunya (material world) nature that was the enticement. He ﷺ  asked the holy companions 313, ‘Let us go.’ This is just an abbreviation for us to understand. They went out into the deserts to prepare for the arrival of the caravan, to overtake the caravan with ease and thinking they’re going to go home, and Allah (AJ) changed it.

The Unshakable Loyalty of Ashab an-Nabi ﷺ (Holy Companions of Prophet ﷺ) 

But this is a reminder in a timeless reality. Many people are attracted for something from dunya towards the shaykhs, towards the tariqah (spiritual path). Because the shaykhs just represent the heart of Prophet ﷺ. That everybody is allured with something: an opening, a relief, a rizq (sustenance), a health. Something has to allure people towards that reality. Allah (AJ) then changed the circumstances that caravan of wealth went in a different direction and in its place a huge and immense army began to form. Once they heard that Prophet ﷺ  had gathered people for taking their caravan they switched out the caravan and brought an immense army. To come against Prophet ﷺ hoping once and for all to destroy that reality.

As soon as Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ  got word of that, the test came out to the companions that, ‘I brought you for one reason out into this desert and as Allah (AJ) has it, He changed it. Now that caravan of wealth is gone, this is now a caravan of warfare coming in our direction. They are heavily armed and we are greatly outnumbered. I give you permission that this was not what we had set out for, anyone who wishes to leave can leave at this time.’ This is the immensity of the character of Ashab an Nabi ﷺ which within them are all Ahlul Bayt (Blessed Family of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ) and all Ashab an Nabi are in that 313 gathering. Immediately they said that: ‘Whatever you gave to us, we have taken it. You told us what to abstain, we have abstained. You told us what to do, we are doing. We will go with you all the way to our death and never leave your side.’

The Key for Struggle of Ashabul Badr was the Love for Prophet ﷺ

The immensity of their example that they are fighting in the way of Allah (AJ) but Allah (AJ) wants us to understand that their love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ was their key. That it wasn’t about just you say, ‘Allah (AJ),’ but the immensity of their love for Prophet ﷺ  they could not imagine to leave him unattended. They knew that Prophet ﷺ would never stand down, it is not even legal for the messenger of Allah (AJ) to back away, you can never retreat. So they knew that, ‘We are not going to leave this reality to be by itself. We came to die for that reality.’ That would established the immensity of their haqqaiq (realities) and 313 of Ahlul Badr are standing on the 313 awliyaullah (saints) who inherit from them this reality. Their istiqam – their firmness and their commitment to the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, they could never imagine to leave the side of that reality, walk away from that reality. That, ‘We came and left everything of dunya and our greatest hope is to die in that reality.’

The Divine Victory and Support for Prophet ﷺ

Prophet ﷺ was so happy by their reply in that test that Allah (AJ) immediately revealed that as soon as the armies were approaching, he ﷺ began to cheer out: ‘Allahu Akbar (Allah (AJ) is the Greatest), Allahu Akbar, and I see the angels coming.’ “Idha jaa nasrullah…” (Holy Qur’an, 110:1 ). That Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is nasrullah – is the Victory and the Support of Allah (AJ). Allah (AJ) brought the angels to manifest in yellow turbans, red turbans, black turbans. As they were descending onto the battlefield, they were striking the necks of these people who were coming against the reality of Prophet ﷺ. The immensity of the support, the immensity of the fear and the haybah (majestic power) that Allah (AJ) put into the heart of those who tried to come against the messenger of Allah (AJ).

Understanding the Events of Battle of Badr Reveals the Secret to Attaining Allah’s (AJ) Support

That’s the key to its understanding that your support and my support in life is the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and never to leave that side. Our support is an immense support is because of that love. Allah (AJ) doesn’t help us because He helps me and you. The secret of Allah’s (AJ) help is that you have the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ in you, and ‘My Support is coming and is attracted to that love.’ Why He sent angels to be manifest for them? Because the support did not let Prophet ﷺ  down. All this reality that all this ‘ishq and all this love that they have no doubt Allah (AJ) “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allaha fattabi’oni, yuhbibkumUllah.”

(٣١ ) قُلْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُحِبُّوْنَ اللَّـهَ فَاتَّبِعُوْنِيْ يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّـهُ

3:31 – “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allaha fattabi’oni, yuhbibkumUllahu…” (Surah Surat Al ‘Imran)

“Say, [O Muhammad], “If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you…” (Family of Imran, 3:31)

That Allah (AJ) Says, ‘You followed to the best that could be tested. That you came for dunya and you exchanged it all at that moment for akhirah (hereafter).’ For death was certain for them with the sheer number of the.. in the battlefield. The immensity of their love for Allah (AJ), the immensity of that love that manifest they knew that, that love its manifestation is in the reality of Prophet ﷺ. At that time Allah (AJ) granted them their ‘ahd – granted them their covenant, granted them their realities. That how that reality is such a support for the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ  that all these holy companions reaching their covenant with Allah (AJ), reaching their lights and their blessings with Allah (AJ). That all the whole heavenly kingdom its reality is appearing on earth at that time. Because each reaching their perfection by that event and being dressed by its realities, blessed by its realities.

Surat an-Nasr Describes The Victory of Love

As a result, Allah (AJ) then describing, so Surat an-Nasr is a description of this whole love for Prophet ﷺ . In your life if you have this love and this immense love and attraction to the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ Allah (AJ) describes in the 110th Surah of Holy Qur’an which is the code for Imam Ali’s (as) name of 110. That, ‘When the Victory of Allah (AJ) has come and the conquest.’ Because nasrullah – the victory is the love and the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ if that is within you, ‘And you see the people entering into the religion of Allah (AJ) in multitudes.’ That every difficulty to be pushed away, every badness to be pushed away.

These become the guides of the Muhammadan nation in which the ambassadorship of the love and the light is emanating within your hearts. Then Allah (AJ): ‘Then exalt in Allah (AJ)…,’ that these are the people whom are praising and in continuous zikr (Divine remembrance) of Allah (AJ). ‘… To your Lord and ask for forgiveness from Him.’ That continuously making tawbah (repentance) and istighfar (seeking forgiveness): Ya Rabbi forgive me, forgive my family, forgive my community, forgive all my descendants. ‘And you will find Him to be Accepting of all repentance.’

The Battle of Badr on 17th of Ramadan Opened an Immense Gate of Victory for Muhammadan Nation

So, this is the immense blessing, not only because this is baab ul maghfirah (the Gate of Forgiveness). That Allah (AJ) made that event to be on the 17th of Ramadan, Allah (AJ) is the programmer of all events. How in the gate of maghfirah Allah (AJ) makes this destined event to be at this time, and then inspires awliyaullah that remember that event. They are an immense gate and an immense opportunity for the nation of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. By remembering what they did, by remembering their names immense support come onto you, immense difficulties be taken away from you. Your movement into the lights of Allah (AJ), the maghfirah of Allah (AJ) be dressed upon you. “Innahu kana tawwaba” (Holy Qur’an, 110:3) is for our souls. That Allah (AJ): ‘No doubt if you have the love for Prophet ﷺ, love for his holy companions, you understood the reality, that you put your love and sacrifice everything for the sake of that love. To ask to inherit from them, no doubt they become the support of your madad.

Remember the Holy Souls and They Will Bless You from Their Higher Station

Anyone whom you remember, remembers you in a higher association. Allah (AJ): ‘Remember me because I will remember you in a higher association.’

(١٥٢) فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِي وَلَا تَكْفُرُونِ 

2:152 – “Fadhkuronee adhkurkum washkuroli wa la takfuroon.” (Surah al Baqarah) 

“So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful/Thankful to Me and do not reject faith.” (Holy Quran)

People who don’t make zikr what an opportunity they’re missing! That when you are continuously praising upon Allah (AJ), Allah’s (AJ) promise is that, ‘I will remember you within My paradises and infinite realities. That can’t be understood.’ All whom we remember of this heavenly reality they’re remembering us in realities that we can’t even achieve or understand or even comprehend. That what are they remembering of us, how are they remembering our names because we recited their names on everything. Through that rain becomes a rain of rahmah and mercy upon our soul. By means of that every difficulty is taken away. By means of that every opening becomes an opening. That every block that blocks Ya Rabbi from the barakah (blessing) of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ wa Ahlul Badr that provide an opening for me from every difficulty to be taken away. We pray that Allah (AJ) dress us from these ayatul kareem, dress us from Surat al kareem (the generous chapter of Holy Qur’an). Dress us from the immense love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, grant us these oceans of maghfirah and forgiveness.

Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa ﷺ wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
