Your Spiritual Value is Not Defined By Your Worshipness
From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi.
A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ.
Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Praise Those Whom You Love
Alhamdulillah, what we said in that last na’at sharif (prophetic praising)? ‘Jin say tujh ka be ishq hay’. How do you say that? ‘Jin say ho ba ishq hay’.
Guftugu ki ibteda, Kar tu lafz tol kar
Dil sabhi ka jeet lay, Meethay bol bol kar
Jin say tujh ko ishq hay
Un kay geet gaye jaa
Start the conversation by weighing your words carefully, Win everyone’s heart by speaking sweet words, Keep singing the songs of the ones whom you love
Alhamdulillah, in Farsi that would teach us that yeah, your jins, your value is based on your ishq (love) of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That in this holy month of Dhul Qi’dah and the reality of 11 and the reality of what gives us value in Divinely Presence. So many don’t know and they perceive their value as their worshipness. They think that if they worship perfectly, they worship extensively, that they have a value to Allah (AJ).
Awliya Take From Wajhi Hil Karim
These awliya (saints) of ma’rifah (gnosticism) whom we described before, the awliya whom they take from Wajhi hil Karim (The Holy Face of The Most Generous), The Blessed and Divinely Face of Allah (AJ) that can never be seen in the oceans of Huwa – the complete unknown, unmanifest reality of Allah (AJ) that graciously dresses the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad’s ﷺ Divinely face.
These seven Divinely attributes that illuminate all of creation, empower all of creation, sustain all of creation, fountain of every abundance, fountain of every knowledge, fountain of every reality flowing to that face of generosity known as “Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ“.
We Place High Value on Our Worshipness
From those awliya’s souls that are not all, that’s when you come across servants of Allah (AJ) in which their understanding is something different. They feel their status with Allah (AJ) is based on their worshipness, the correctness of their worshipness, the excessiveness of their worshipness and all of that is ‘ananiya (I-ness).
All of that is in finding value in oneself. Whether you find your value as a dunya (material world) person and you’re an outright oppressor, say, ‘Do you know who I am? I am the Fir’aun (pharaoh) most high’ all the way to the other scale of one being content in their worshipness, their level of purity, their level of understanding and they believe that through their fasting, through their worshiping, through their Hajj, through their physical action, they have a value with Allah (AJ). They didn’t yet understand the nuqt (dot). These awliya whom they annihilated in their annihilation, they came back to existence to teach that the true jewel of reality is not in yourself, not in anything that yourself can do. But what, what gives us value? ‘Jin say tum ka be ishq hay’.
Our Only Value to Allah (AJ) is Our Love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
The only value that you have to Allah (AJ) is that your love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. How pure is that love? How beatific is that love? How sincere is that love? Why? Because Allah (AJ) is a hidden treasure wanting to be known.
Qala Rasulallahi ﷺ, Qala Allah (AJ): “Kuntu kanzan makhfiyya, fa ahbabtu an a’rafa, fa khalaqtu khalqan, fa ‘arraftahum bi fa ‘arafonee.” [Hadith al Qudsi – Behar al Anwar, Al ‘Alama al Majlisi, Juz’ 84, Safha 199]
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, that Allah (AJ) said: “I was a hidden Treasure then I desired to be known, so I created a creation to which I made Myself known; then they knew Me.” [Holy Hadith – Bihar al Anwar, by Al ‘Alama al Majlisi, Volume 84, Page 199]
Prophet ﷺ is the Perfect Worshiper of Allah (AJ)
If they didn’t get La ilaha illAllah huwa Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ, it’s still not known to them. Those whom know, they know. They know their value. Their jins is only as beatific and only as valuable as their ishq and love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ because whom is the perfect worshiper of Allah (AJ)? Prophet ﷺ. So, do you see how that the immensity of oceans of tawheed (oneness)? If you’re competing to worship Allah (AJ), there’s no better worshiper than Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
Get yourself out of the way. Become a nuqt (dot) in which is non-existent and all that exists within that nuqt is ishq (love) and muhabbat of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ which is the ultimate ishq of Allah (AJ) because all of it’s based on, ‘Ya Rabbi, I want to approach You’. “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allah”
3:31 – “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allaha fattabi’uni, yuhbibkumullahu…” (Surat Ali-Imran)
“Say, [O Muhammad], “If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you …” (Family of Imran, 3:31)
We Cannot Compare Our Worship to That of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
We’re asking, ‘Ya Rabbi, that we want Your love and Your command to my wujud (existence) and to my soul and my very existence.’ Fattabi’uni (follow), fattabi’uni. ‘I don’t want to see you in your own ocean. I don’t want to see you in your own competition. I don’t want to see you as if you’re going to compete with your worshipness, compete with your fast, compete with anything because none of it has any comparable value to the worshipness of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.’
So, these level of awliya (saints), they understood that become a nuqt (dot). Annihilate. They took a life into which annihilate and everyone else annihilates them, criticize, ridicule and attack and it’s okay because they still think that they’re worshiping Allah (AJ), trying to please with their form and with their actions. The ultimate reality is that the value of my jins, my soul, my light, my entire being…what gives a gem its reality? What makes a ruby to be a ruby? It’s reflection from what Allah (AJ) dressing of its Divinely lights. All of these lights come from the ocean of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ.
Like Gems, Our Souls Have Muhammadiyoon Hues of Light
So, these pearls because the world of form is a ruby because it has a form and it’s rare. But the ruby of the heavens is not a form. It’s a hue of light and the rarity of that light is based on its Muhammadiyoon reflection. The souls of these awliya (saints) and all that they bring along on their path, they bring into that spectrum and to the hue of that reality. Because what we found as a reality of manifestation was what? Based on sound. The light in which you manifest in malakut (heavenly realm), that light is what Allah (AJ) is giving for us and understanding your jins; not your physicality, but your being. Your entire light and the essence in which Allah (AJ) creates you, ‘Be ishq hay.’ its value is based on its ishq (love) of Prophet ﷺ.
The amount in which you resonate, the amount in which you have love, the amount in which you’re “Khuluqal ‘azheem”, you’re inheriting from this good character because the good character completely keeps burning and incinerating the impurities within your stone, within the jewel of your being and your praise. Your love and your ishq and moving into that reality, it grants the hue and the color of your gem.
68:4 – “Wa innaka la’ala khuluqin ‘azheem.” (Surat Al-Qalam)
“Truly, You (O Muhammad!) are of a magnificent character.” (The Pen, 68:4)
Salawats Change Our Spectrum of Light to Be Beatific
It means these gemstones are radiating at lights because of their love for Prophet ﷺ. These are the jewels that Allah (AJ) wants to see. “Qul, fattabi’uni. “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allah” (Holy Qur’an, 3:31) ‘Tell them in this oceans of reality, not in dunya, fattabi’uni. Their whole existence is to follow you with their life, with their wealth, with their possessions, with their entire being’. When you follow with love and good character and you begin with your durood (praising on Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) and your salawats (praises upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) and your actions and your service, the spectrum of your light is changing to beatific lights. ‘Be ishq hay.’
As much as you love, the hue of the light becomes more and more beatific and this becomes gems in Divinely Presence of what Allah (AJ) is looking for. ‘I want to see the Muhammadan lights upon their soul.’ When Allah (AJ) looks to the garden of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ, that beatific garden, He wants to see the hue of these lights emanating like gems from their soul and from their heart. The only way they can achieve that is by the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ because that was the reality of where La ilaha illAllah is hidden.
Allah’s (AJ) House is Within Our Hearts
When Allah (AJ) says, ‘I’m a hidden reality wanting to be known, I will never be known’.
Qala Rasulallahi ﷺ, Qala Allah (AJ): “Kuntu kanzan makhfiyya, fa ahbabtu an a’rafa, fa khalaqtu khalqan, fa ‘arraftahum bi fa ‘arafonee.” [Hadith al Qudsi – Behar al Anwar, Al ‘Alama al Majlisi, Juz’ 84, Safha 199]

But “Qalb al mu’min baytullah”. ‘I’m not in heaven, not on Earth but I’m on the heart of My worshiper.’
Qala Rasulallahi ﷺ, Qala Allah (AJ): “ “Qalb al mu’min baytur rabb.” [Hadith al Qudsi]
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, that Allah (AJ) said: “The heart of the believer is the House of the Lord.” (Holy Hadith)
and
‘An Wahab ibn Munabbeh, Qala Rasulallahi ﷺ, Qala Allah (AJ): “Maa wasi’anee laa samayee, wa la ardee, laakin wasi’anee qalbi ‘Abdi al Mu’min.” [Hadith al Qudsi, Al Ghazali fi al Ihyaa, wa Ibn ‘Arabi fi al Tarajim, Safha 224]
Narrated by Wahab the son of Munabbeh that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, that Allah (AJ) said: “Neither My Heavens nor My Earth can contain Me, but the heart of my Believing Servant.” [Holy Hadith, by Imam al-Ghazali in Al Ihya, and by Ibn ‘Arabi in al Tarajib, Page 224
La Ilaha IllAllah is a Reflection of Muhammadun RasulAllah ﷺ
If you enter into his heart and you enter into his heart, it means you find the reality of La ilaha illAllah and Allah (AJ) wants to see these lights, wants to see the value of their soul based on the beatific reflection of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ.
“La ilaha illallahu Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ”
“There is no deity but Allah, Prophet Muhammad is the messenger of Allah”
This becomes the essence of that ayna, essence of that mirror, the essence and the reality of 11, essence and the reality of the zulfiqar (sword of Imam Ali (as)). Where La ilaha illAllah reflects and gives the power to Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. The reality of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ is the only reality that can open up within its heart, the reality of La ilaha illAllah. Nobody can enter into La ilaha illAllah without going through the door of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ because they can’t enter tawheed (oneness) without Prophet ﷺ.
Every nation has their fault. The nation of Sayyidina Isa (as), they took to worshiping him. The nation of Sayyidina Musa (as), they took to worshiping and waiting for a man who will call himself ‘God’ and they all became bud parast (idol-worshiper). But the nation of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, they can never enter into that reality because the secret of La ilaha illAllah is in the heart and in the soul and the reality of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ.
You Cannot Reach La Ilaha Illallah Without Muhammadun RasulAllah ﷺ
So, you see how this side, this sword of zulfiqar hits you both ways. It means there’s no way to say, ‘I’m going to go on the door of La ilaha illAllah. I’m going to leave everything but La ilaha illAllah.’ Allah (AJ) says, ‘You’ll never reach down without the knife of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ.’ That comes to take the nafs (ego) and bad character and take the servant to the oceans of that reality. So, only by coming through the door of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ can that reality in the oceans of La ilaha illAllah and real tawheed (oneness) enter into the reality of the servant.
What La ilaha illAllah is looking for? For these awliyaullah (saints) and those whom follow them is what? It’s your jins, the value of your soul, the value of your goods of what have you achieved on this Earth that I sent you because others are coming with bags of goods, ‘I did this. I did that. I did this. I did that.’ This a different level.
Awliya Feed Us for the Sake of the Divinely Face Alone (Holy Qur’an, 76:9)
But those whom they divorce themselves of fear of hell and want of paradise and all that they ask for from Allah (AJ) was Wajhi hil Karim. ‘We want that which never perishes. We want the presence of the Holy Face’.
28:88 – “…kullu shayin halikun illa wajha” (Surat Al-Qasas)
“…Everything (that exists) will perish except His holy Face…” (The Stories, 28:88)
Allah (AJ) sent to them, ‘Then accompany these saints whom they feed you and they ask nothing from you that you could give to them that has a value.’
(Surat Al-Insaan)
“(Saying), We feed you for the sake of the Holy/divine Face alone: We wish not from you reward or gratitude.” (The Human, 76:9)
But what they ask from Allah (AJ) is that, ‘Keep us within the Divinely Face, the Holy Face of Allah (AJ) which reflects, La ilaha illAllah reflects to the face and the soul of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ.’ That the seven holy openings of humanity, that to take that dress and to be nourished by those lights and those holy openings. This is the greatest achievement and it’s not understood but by a handful.
Those On the Path of a Nuqt Understand Their Salah Has No Value
Because you can see the pride in their actions, the pride in their worshipness, the pride in their words. The one whom took a path of nuqt (dot) understands their salah (daily prayer) has no value. Their sawm (fasting) has no value; not anything from their physical world has a value. They do. It’s not the end but the means.
My shahadah (testimony of faith) was not the end of my journey that gave me who I am. It was a means in which to enter this path. My salah (daily prayer) because after your shahadah is what? “Iqamatus salat”.
Iqamatus Salat, wa itauz Zakat, wa sawmu Ramadan, wa Hajjul bayti, Haqq.
The performance of prayer (Salat),The payment of alms/charity (Zakat),The fast in Ramadan (Sawm), The Pilgrimage to the House (Hajj), are true.
Performing Your Five Pillars is Not Where Your Journey Ends
My salah (daily prayer) was what? The means to everything I reached, I achieved everything in life? Or Allah’s (AJ) saying, ‘That’s at the beginning. It’s not the end.’ You just made your shahadah (testimony of faith), now you came to your salah (daily prayer). The salah is the means in which to reach the end so that you understood your life of service and being nothing and it was nothing to be proud of. They came to the zakah (charity). They gave of their money. They gave of their time and in the end, they gave of their life in service in the way of that reality. Still Allah (AJ) says, ‘It’s not the goal. It’s not the end. We don’t give you a trophy because you did that’. It was merely still your means in which to reach what you need to reach.
The journey hasn’t ended by that. So, they went for Hajj (pilgrimage). They went for their sawm and their fasting so that to enter into a state of purity and compassion and mercy, they did their fasting. Again, they can’t have pride in the fact that they fast. They fast better than other people or we fast and other nations don’t fast because Allah (AJ) says, ‘These are the keys to what I’m going to open for you, but it is not the goal. It’s not the reward’.
Our Qurban Corrects Our Deficiences
Now we’re entering into the month of Hajj and the hijrah (migration) and the pilgrimage to the reality that for 12 months we have been journeying on this. So, that what? To receive the payday from Allah (AJ). Come to Jabal ar Rahmah (Mountain of Mercy) because all of Hajj is the mountain of rahmah (mercy), the Mount of Arafah in which all your qurban and all your sacrifice. The qurban (sacrifice) is the part, the contract is that catches everything that’s wrong. ‘Everything that I’m going to dress you with of your 12 months of journey, every deficiency I will take with that qurban (sacrifice)’. That’s why Allah (AJ) described the qurban as an immense ransom.
37:107 – “Wa fadainaahu bizibhin ‘azeem” (Surat As-Saffat)
“And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice” (Those Who Set the Ranks, 37:107)
Because the deficiency in Sayyidina Ibrahim (as) that he couldn’t accomplish what Allah (AJ) wanted him to accomplish. So, Allah (AJ) then, ‘We gave you an immense ransom’ because these ten days are the ten days in which Allah (AJ) is dressing and completing His favours upon the servant.
Part of Becoming a Nuqt is to Discipline Your Physicality
They understood that all of these pillars of Islam was a means in which to enter into these oceans of value in which if they did what Allah (AJ) asked of them and they purified and perfected and cleansed themself and took a path of the nuqt (dot) to which they understood it’s not the salah (daily prayer) that gives them honour. It’s not the fasting that gives them honour. It’s not the zakah (charity) that gives them honour. It was all a means in which to be a nuqt.
The owner was in the nuqt in which Allah (AJ) said that, ‘You annihilated yourself. Now let Me show you the kingdom’. That you didn’t put a value on your physicality. You disciplined your physicality like a donkey at these stations. Tell the donkey to believe. Tell the donkey to pray. Tell the donkey to give its zakah. Tell the donkey to make its fast. Tell the donkey now to enter its hijrah (migration) to reach its reality because these are the actions of the mulk (earthly realm).
Don’t Crown Your Beast, But Tame It!
But Allah (AJ) gave the reward to the malakut (heavenly realm), to the soul that riding upon that servant. If the soul of the servant truly understood that, ‘The reward from Allah (AJ) is not for my donkey, but for me for all of eternity.’ My job on this life was to tame my beast, not to crown it. You getting?
Others, they’re thinking to crown the beast. They put a crown on their donkey. Say, ‘Look how nice this donkey prays. Your people don’t pray good. Look how nice this donkey fast. You don’t fast good. Look how nice this donkey does this.’ That wasn’t the goal. The goal was the donkey to be obedient and obliterated, to be brought down and humbled in which Allah (AJ) can put the crown upon the servant. That, ‘You humbled your beast in My Presence. You took away the importance of your beast on My path and as a result, I made it to be khashiya, like dust’.
Your True Value is When Your Soul Resonates Muhammadun RasulAllah ﷺ
You understood the true value is your soul and that you resonate and vibrate Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. Your nasheeds and salawats and durood and your ishq is directed in the direction in which Allah (AJ) wants “Fattabi’uni”. As a result, your soul, mubashshiran (bearer of good tidings), is emanating beatific lights and beatific hues of every dimension. Wasn’t that the song from Abida Parveen in that na’at of that…those shaykhs? ‘Oh, I saw the lights of Imam Ali (as) and Imam al-Hussain (as) and Imam al-Hassan (as) and they were moving in the lights of Nabi Ahmad ﷺ and the beatific hue of these lights were moving in these oceans of reality’.
Horry ho rahi hai, Ahmad ﷺ geo ke dawar,
Hazrat Ali (as) ka rang bano hai,
Hasan Husain khilaar
Festival of colors [Holi] is being played
at the house of our beloved Ahmad ﷺ;
Hazrat Ali (as) has become the color
and Hasan (as) and Husain (as) are playing!
Nobody Can Praise Allah (AJ) Better Than Allah (AJ)
Huh, because their jism, their entire being had reached a value for Allah (AJ). That, ‘You made your lights. You came to this Earth, not that you came and glorified your donkey, cleaned your donkey, crowned your donkey. But you understood: no, it was your soul that had to achieve these lights and these realities and you had to find Me with your soul. I’m a hidden treasure and you found Me in the reality of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. That I reflect My names and attributes in the ocean of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ‘. That every time Allah (AJ) praises the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, Allah (AJ) is praising Himself and His Divinely self. Allah (AJ), then Prophet ﷺ says, ‘Ya Rabbi, nobody can praise You like You deserve to be praised and how You praise Yourself’.
‘An Abdullah ibn Mas’od (ra) qala: qala Rasulullahi (saws): “Laysa ahadun ahabba ilyhil madhu minallahi, min ajli zalika madaha nafsahu, …” [Rawa al Bukhari (4634) wa Muslim (2760) ]
‘Abdullah ibn Mas‘od (ra) said: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “There is no one to whom praise is more dear than Allah (AJ), and because of that He praised Himself…” [Narrated by Al-Bukhari (4631) and Muslim (2760)]
Allah’s (AJ) Greatest Sign is the Reality and Soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
So, when Prophet…when Allah (AJ) is describing Prophet ﷺ, “Khuluqal ‘azheem” (Holy Qur’an, 68:4), Allah (AJ) is praising Himself because He gave the characteristic of the greatness and He dressed it upon the greatest of His signs, the reality and the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
68:4 – “Wa innaka la’ala khuluqin ‘azheem.” (Surat Al-Qalam)
“Truly, You (O Muhammad!) are of a magnificent character.” (The Pen, 68:4)
We pray that Allah (AJ) open for us the realities of this 11 and this mirror and Allah (AJ) open for us to be busy with our durood sharif, to listen to the salawats, to have the love and the ishq, the character and the beauty of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and that to be dressed in dunya and in akhirah (hereafter), to be raised with these lights and blessed with these lights. This is the key to our salvation and the key for protection against the dajjal (man of deceit) and every darkness and fitna (confusion) that enters upon this Earth.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa ﷺ wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
