Three Lights of Our Creation
From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi
A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the rejected one
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
All Creation Comes Into Existence From the Ocean of Muhammadun RasulAllah ﷺ
It comes into existence. So, then all of us have this three realities within us. That Allah (AJ) gives a Divinely essence within the heart, gives a Muhammadan and prophetic light within the heart and our outermost light is the Adamic light. That’s why then Mawlana Shaykh’s (Q) always teaching is that, “Atiullah atiur Rasul wa Ulil amre minkum”.
﴾أَطِيعُواللَّه وَأَطِيعُوٱلرَّسُولَ وَأُوْلِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ… ﴿٥٩…
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat An-Nisa)
“… Obey Allah, Obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
It means to open these realities and to understand these realities. That Allah’s (AJ) essence wants to be known. It will be known through Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ. That all creation is being born, coming into existence from the ocean of Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ.
Isra wal Mi’raj is Prophet ﷺ Going Back to His Origin
So, it means that Ramadan has a tremendous reality. That Rajab, Prophet ﷺ pierce the reality of Rajab on the 27th. This is an importance. There’s a secret that Allah (AJ) granting that, ‘Come back to your origin’. That once you come into this world, your duty is to begin to know yourself so that you may know your Lord. Prophet ﷺ described, ‘Who knows himself will know his Lord’.
قَال رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ:” مَنْ عَرَفَ نَفْسَهْ فَقَدْ عَرَفَ رَبَّهُ”
Qala Rasulullahi ﷺ: “Man ‘arafa nafsahu faqad ‘arafa Rabbahu”
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “Who knows himself, knows his Lord.”
Being the master and the imam (religious leader) of realities, Prophet ﷺ sets the example for us that, ‘Go back and begin to know yourself’. So, then we begin to with contemplation. We see that Prophet ﷺ pierce that reality on Rajab. Isra wal Mi’raj (Night Journey and Ascension), that Allah (AJ) called Prophet’s ﷺ reality back to His Divinely essence with physicality and with soul back into the Divinely essence. It means that mi’raj (ascension) is an eternal reality happening in the holy month of Rajab.
Nisf e Sha’ban, the Night of Decree, is the Middle Point of the Three Holy Months
Then by sitting on Sha’ban means that we are asking to be dressed from those realities by the love of Prophet ﷺ, coming into the holy month of Sha’ban and having that love for Prophet ﷺ. Laylatul Bara’ah (Night of Salvation) out of 90 days is the midpoint, is the 15th of Sha’ban out of 30 days, 30 days, 30 days. It is the exact middle point of that reality. So, it means that this is a blessed night, Nisf e Sha’ban (mid-Sha’ban), so that we can sit and be dressed by oceans of forgiveness.
Awliyaullah (saints) teach us from prophetic teaching, it is the night in which Allah (AJ) decrees. It means it’s a spiritual new year and we talk about Allah (AJ) decree – who’s going to live, who’s going die, what sustenance is going to be written for them. It means is written upon the soul. This is the night of souls in which Allah (AJ) is writing His decree. Where Allah (AJ) says, ‘We can write what We want. We can blot out what We want. We can change whatever We want’.
Nisf e Sha’ban is a Night of Forgiveness and Removing Difficulties
So, it means this night has to do with the significance of that reality being in Sha’ban. It means with tafakkur and contemplation, it can go very deep because this has to do with Prophet ﷺ. This has to do with the origin of all light. All creation is in the Muhammadan ocean. It cannot be outside of that. Everything has to be within that tawheed (oneness). Everything has to be within La ilaha illAllah Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ.
لَا إِلَهَ إلاَّ اللهُ مُحَمَّدٌا رَسُولْ الله
“La ilaha illallahu Muhammadun Rasulallah”
“There is no deity but Allah, Prophet Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.”
It cannot be in La ilaha illAllah because La ilaha illAllah means ‘Don’t look here’. So, it means in that kalima (testimony) of cleanliness that the kalima of realities is that Allah (AJ) says, ‘My hidden secret that needs to be known will be known through Muhammadan Rasulullah ﷺ’. So, by sitting and observing Nisf e Sha’ban (mid-Sha’ban), it means we are dressing with the light and the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. This is also the night of forgiveness. That to ask for forgiveness, ‘Ya Rabbi, that what You’re going to be decreeing on the soul, let it to be good. Whatever rizq (sustenance) You can give to us, grant us that rizq. Take away difficulty. Take away anything that would be of a hardship that is coming to us’. All those secrets are in the month of Sha’ban and observing the month of Sha’ban.
Every Action of Prophet ﷺ is Eternal Because Allah (AJ) Has No Time
Then Allah (AJ) wants to give the gift of these realities to all of humanity with the holy month of Ramadan. So, it means that Ramadan is a manifestation of these lights because Allah (AJ) granting this life. Prophet ﷺ is the imam. As the imam is moving on a mi’raj (ascension), it means he’s piercing seeing these realities in Allah’s (AJ) Divinely Presence. Allah (AJ) has no time. It means once you begin to think from your heart, not from the head. Allah (AJ) has no time.
It means in every action that Allah (AJ) describes for Prophet ﷺ, it must be an eternal action because we have time only in this dimension. There’s no time in Allah’s (AJ) dimension. So, when Allah (AJ) saying that, ‘We brought him to Our Presence. We brought him to “Qaaba qawsayni aw adna,” it means that he’s eternally two bows of a length or nearer.
﴾فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَىٰ ﴿٩
53:9 – “Fakana qaaba qawsayni aw adna.” (Surat An-Najm)
“And was at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer [to the Divine Presence].” (The Star, 53:9)
Prophet is Eternally at Two Bows Length or Nearer to Allah (AJ)
It means these two signs or closer, the light of Prophet ﷺ is eternally moving towards the reality of Allah (AJ) and that begins to open many different understandings in quantum physics. That the speed of light is constant and that it can only move to a certain speed and it can’t catch up. It means that 99.5 or 99.9% but it can’t go to a 100%. It means Prophet ﷺ is eternally moving at the reality of “Qaaba qawsayni aw adna”. Eternally moving, Allah (AJ) eternally moving away, expanding. Al-Khaliq (The Creator) is eternally expanding creation and Prophet ﷺ eternally on a mi’raj (ascension) in that reality because there’s no time. So, Allah (AJ) describing the closeness of Prophet ﷺ is that he’s eternally ‘alayhis salatus salaam at “Qaaba qawsayni aw adna”.
Now “Qaaba qawsayni aw adna” is if you’ve ever worked with electricity, they don’t have to touch to have a union because you cannot have a union with Allah (AJ). You can’t be one. So, Allah (AJ) shows the adab (manners) of saying, “Qaaba qawsayni aw adna” – two bows or nearer. You’re talking about a force that can’t even be imagined of Allah’s (AJ) qudra (power). When Allah’s (AJ) qudra and then bringing the soul of Prophet ﷺ, it just comes into proximity and all energy is already moving. That you ever seen two wires, very powerful wires, you bring them close enough and you can’t separate because the charge that’s coming out and connecting. They don’t need to connect.
Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is the Laam Coming to the Alif of Allah (AJ)
It means this is reality of what’s coming together of energies is unimaginable. They call that ‘Bi sirri laam jalala,’ the reality of laam and alif. That the laam is the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ of not the physical. We’re talking about the soul and the light of Prophet ﷺ that carries all realities is the laam, coming and you see the adab of a laam is that it comes to the alif because nothing can come in the front to connect with the alif. It comes to the back of the alif. Allah (AJ) is a hidden treasure wanting to be known but His reality is always hidden, will never be known.
قَال رَسُولَ اللَّه ﷺ، قَالْ اللَّه عَزَ وَجَلْ: ” كُنْت كَنْزاً مخفيا فَأَحْبَبْت أَنْ أُعْرَفَ؛ فَخَلَقْت خَلْقاً فَعَرَّفْتهمْ بِي فَعَرَفُونِي.” [حَدِيثْ اَلْقُدْسِي – بِحَارْ اَلْأنْوَارْ، اَلْعَلَامَةْ اَلْمَجْلِسِيْ، جُزْء ٨٤، صَفْحَة ١٩٩]
Qala Rasulallahi ﷺ, Qala Allah (AJ): “Kuntu kanzan makhfiyya, fa ahbabtu an a’rafa, fa khalaqtu khalqan, fa ‘arraftahum bi fa ‘arafonee.” [Hadith al Qudsi – Behar al Anwar, Al ‘Alama al Majlisi, Juz’ 84, Safha 199]
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, that Allah (AJ) said: “I was a hidden Treasure then I desired to be known, so I created a creation to which I made Myself known; then they knew Me.” [Holy Hadith – Bihar al Anwar, by Al ‘Alama al Majlisi, Volume 84, Page 199]
So the laam-alif is that the alif goes behind and the laam comes in front. La ilaha illAllah Muhammadun Rasulallah. It means the La ilaha illAllah goes behind, Muhammadun Rasulallah ﷺ comes in front. It means Allah (AJ) will be known through the reality of Prophet ﷺ.
Allah (AJ) Bestows So Much Upon Us, Yet Only Asks Us to Fast
It means then all that light and all that blessing of Sha’ban, Allah (AJ) is dressing from Laylatul Isra wal Mi’raj (Night Journey and Ascension), dressing on Sha’ban and what He wants to give to the nation of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is He wants to give it in Ramadan. He wants to give Laylatul Qadr (Night of Power). So, what He wants then for us to receive that blessing, He doesn’t want any amal (action) from us.
That’s the amazing ‘Azimah (Might) of Allah (AJ). ‘With all my love for you and all your actions that you are doing, I want to give you the highest possible reward of what I have dressed Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ with on his Isra wal Mi’raj by his essences and his realities. I have dressed him within the holy month of Sha’ban and now for his nation, I want to dress you all with those lights. You fast the siyam.’
Ramadan Dresses Our Souls With Realities of Holy Qur’an
That’s why the 9th month, most powerful month because the ‘azimah of nine and the reality of nine. Allah (AJ) say, ‘I want to dress you from these realities. What I want from you – don’t do anything. Fast’ because it’s the highest amal that has no action. He didn’t tell us to do all sorts of different actions but just, ‘You fast for Me and abstain. Don’t do anything. Fast for Me so that I can give this reward directly from My Divinely Presence’. That has to do with the secret of Ramadan. Why Allah (AJ)…what is the importance of Ramadan is that Allah (AJ) revealing Holy Qur’an. “Qaf, wal Quranil Majeed”.
﴾ق ۚ وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ ﴿١
50:1 – “Qaf, wal Quranil Majeed.” (Surat Qaf)
“Qaf. By the honored Qur’an.” (The Letter Qaf, 50:1)
Allah’s (AJ) uncreated Divinely Speech that not in the ocean of creation because Allah’s (AJ) speech cannot be created. Allah (AJ) wants to dress the souls from the reality of Holy Qur’an because of his love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
Allah (AJ) Gave Holy Qur’an, Then Created Mankind
It means then the gift of Ramadan is Allah (AJ) then says, ‘You fast’. If we fast, ‘I’m going to be dressing you from the secrets of Holy Qur’an’. In Surat Ar-Rahman, “Allamal Qur’an. Khalaqal insaan”.
﴾عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ ﴿٢﴾ خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ ﴿٣
55:2-3 – “Allamal Qur’an (2). Khalaqal Insaan (3).” (Surat Ar Rahman)
”It is He Who has taught the Qur’an. (2) He has created Mankind. (3)” (The Beneficent, 55: 2-3)
It means these are the realities of your soul and paradise. That the reality of your soul in its oceans of reality, ‘I have taught you Holy Qur’an means I have taught you everything’. Because what is Holy Qur’an? Allah (AJ) say, ‘This is a book that can revive the dead’. There is nothing left outside of Holy Qur’an. Everything in creation, its reality must be existing in Holy Qur’an. Allah (AJ) describe, “Allamal Qur’an” – ‘I taught you the Qur’an’. Then “Khalaqal insaan” – ‘Then I created your form’.
We Can Only Reach to Holy Qur’an Through Love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ in Our Hearts
But because in this world, we’re so absorbed with the form, we think that that’s the completion. But this is merely a vehicle in which Allah (AJ) wants us to go back and begin to find ourself, find these gifts and these realities that only we can attain and all creation is jealous from. A monkey cannot attain, a giraffe cannot attain these realities but Allah (AJ) says, ‘I gave you a heart’ because “Qalb al mu’min baytullah”.
قَال رَسُولَ اللَّه ﷺ، قَالْ اللَّه عَزَ وَجَلْ: ” قَلْبَ الْمُؤْمِنْ بَيْتُ الرَّب.” [حَدِيثْ اَلْقُدْسِي]
Qala Rasulallahi ﷺ, Qala Allah (AJ): “ “Qalb al mu’min baytur rabb.” [Hadith al Qudsi]
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, that Allah (AJ) said, “The heart of the believer is the House of the Lord.” (Holy Hadith)
“Qalb al mu’min baytullah” means ‘Through your heart, I gave you the ability to achieve these realities because only through your heart, My Divinely essence is in there. Only through your heart, you’ll find the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and only though the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, you can reach to my Holy Qur’an’. Because if you’re not accepting Prophet ﷺ, you would never go towards Holy Qur’an. It means all these realities, all these dress, Allah (AJ) wants to dress upon creation, wants to dress upon Ummat e Muhammad ﷺ (nation of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ). We pray that more understanding open and deeper and deeper understandings. That Allah (AJ) gave many treasures to Prophet ﷺ and Prophet ﷺ distributing many of these realities for us to dive deep into them, deep into the reality of the Qur’an, deep into the reality of the soul and its lights and its blessings, inshaAllah.
