This World Has Entered a New Dark Age of Oppression
From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi
أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ. Madad ya Sayyidi ya Rasulul Kareem, Ya Habibul ‘Azeem, unzur halana wa ishfa’lana, ‘abidona bi madadikum wa nazarekum.
InshaAllah, Allah (AJ) dress us from the blessings and immense blessings of Laylatul Mahdi (as) the wiladat and holy birth of Imam al-Hassan (as), the beloved grandchild of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and the son of Imam Ali (as). That Allah (AJ) dress us from the immensity of tonight and its blessings and count us amongst those whom are ‘ashiqeen (lovers) and Mahdiyeen (Muhammadan Guides). Ameen Ya Rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi Hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
Atiullah wa atiur Rasul wa Ulil amre minkum. Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.
أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنكُم… ﴿٥٩﴾ …
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)
“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
Allah (AJ) Grants the Gift of Tariqah and To Be From the Last of Nations
That alhamdulillah, that Allah (AJ) granted us this gift of tariqah (spiritual path), this ishq and muhabbat (love) of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. By means of that immense love and immense gift, that Allah (AJ) draws us near to these realities. So, if we stop and ask ourself, ‘Ya Rabbi, what did we do to deserve this?’
There’s no action that somebody can do and there’s no understanding in the mind that how do I find myself on this path of realities and on this way to the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and these holy souls? That Allah (AJ) granted us to be from the last of the nations. That as this dunya (material world) is coming towards its end and inshaAllah, we are from those whom will see its ending and see the immense changes upon this Earth. That’s an immense blessing from Allah (AJ).
The Greatest Blessing is to Witness the Arrival of Sayyidina Mahdi (as)
That one of the greatest gifts of this nation is to be from the last of the nation that will see the advents of Armageddon and to be, inshaAllah, in the presence of Sayyidina Mahdi (as). We pray that Allah (AJ) write for us a good character and immense blessings to be in the presence of such holy souls. That the completion of faith is an immense blessing, to be in these events and to witness the arrival of Sayyidina Mahdi (as).
That all this teaching, it draws for us to understand that it’s the love and ishq (love) and muhabbat of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ that draws us near into his presence. On this holy night of the birth of Imam al-Hassan (as) and it’s no coincidence that Laylatul Mahdi (as) is the same. That Allah (AJ) programmed this creation each with its immense, immense secrets. That, ‘Ya Rahman bi Haqqi Imam al-Hassan (as).’
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ يَا حَمِيدُ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّد ﷺ، يَا عَلِيُّ بِحَقِّ عَلِي (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامْ)، يَا خَالِقُ بِحَقِّ فَاطِمَةُ الزَّهْرَاءِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامْ)، يَا رَحْمَنُ بِحَقِّ حَسَنْ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامْ) ، يَا رَحِيمُ بِحَقِّ حُسَّيْنِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامْ)
”Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Ya Hamidu bi Haqqi Muhammad ﷺ, Ya ‘Aliyu be Haqqi ‘Ali (as), Ya Khaliqu bi Haqqi Fatimatuz Zahra (as), Ya Rahmanu bi Haqqi Hassan (as), Ya Raheemu bi Haqqi Hussain (as).”
“In the name of Allah, the Most compassionate, the Most Merciful O’ the Praiseworthy for the sake of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), O’the Most High for the sake of Imam ‘Ali (as), O the Creator for the sake of Fatima Zahra (as), O the Most Compassionate for the sake of Imam Hassan (as), O’the Most Merciful for the sake of Imam Hussain (as).”
The Attribute of Ar-Rahman Governs the Earthly Realm
From Rahmanir Raheem (The Most Compassionate and The Most Merciful) and the secrets of nur (light) and Hay (The Ever-Living). That sifat ur Rahman (attribute of The Most Compassionate) al ‘arshi istawa. When Allah (AJ) is describing that “ArRahman al ‘arshi istawa,” that the seat of authority means the authorized sifat (attribute) that governs this mulk (earthly realm) is under the secret of Ar-Rahman. That Allah (AJ) gave the governing name of Allah’s (AJ) name for the world of form. Ar-Rahman is the secret of nur and light.
﴾الرَّحْمَـٰنُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوَىٰ ﴿٥
20:5 – “ArRahmanu ‘alal ‘arshi istawa.” (Surat Taha)
“The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established.” (Ta-ha, 20:5)
That from the rahem (womb) comes a noon and that noon is a birth of light. From unseen dimensions, when Allah (AJ) wants it to be seen, He grants it that noon. So, the noon and the reality of nur and a light that Allah (AJ), when He wants His creation to come into existence, He grants it a light so that it manifests. This is the secret of manifestation. This is one of the understandings, “ArRahman al ‘arshi istawa,” that it is the governing attribute for the mulk.
Imam Hassan’s (as) Soul is Dressed From Sifat ur-Rahman
From the repentance of Sayyidina Adam (as) that Allah (AJ) writes everything perfectly for the way of ma’rifah (gnosticism). That He gave Sayyidina Adam (as) a tour of paradise before He sent them to the Earth. Before he did the things he did that was making him to come to the Earth, he saw the immensities of these lights and from one of those realities, he saw that the attribute of Ar-Rahman bi Haqqi Imam al-Hassan (as).
Alhamdulillah, awliyaullah (saints) come into our lives and remind us that these immense teachings, that Allah (AJ) when creating sifat ur-Rahman and when the lights of Nurul Muhammad ﷺ (light of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) comes into existence; from that light, He brings the light of the soul of Imam al-Hassan (as) and dresses it from sifat ur-Rahman (attribute of The Most Compassionate). That any light coming into existence is going to be governed by this sifat ur-Rahman in the world of mulk and He gave that under the authority of Imam al-Hassan (as). Those are the realities within the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, Insan al Kamil (The Universal Perfect Being).
The Eyes Represent Imam Hassan (as) and Imam Hussain (as)
That Prophet’s ﷺ light in the world of light because everything is from the light of Insan al Kamil – the perfected creation of this form, the Adamic form. The reality of that Muhammadan form means that from the right eye is Ar-Rahman and this is the reality of Imam al-Hassan (as). That from the left eye is sifat ur-Raheem (attribute of The Most Merciful) and has to do with the oceans of al-hayat (The Ever-Living) because it has a hay and the hayat (The Ever-Living) within Raheem.
This is the reality of Imam al-Hussain (as). That’s why Imam al-Hassan wa Hussain is a qurratol ‘ain – is the beatific eyes and vision of Prophet ﷺ in the world of light. So, if you visualize this world of light with the form of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, that from that right eye is the secret of Imam al-Hassan (as) and from the left eye is the secret of Imam al-Hussain (as). They carry the secret of light and hayat.
Open the Light of Rahman With Your Love of Imam al-Hassan (as)
It means then this descendant of theirs that coming upon this Earth and the bloodline that coming upon the Earth known as Sayyidina Muhammad al-Mahdi (as), that coming to perfect the light. That it’s not a coincidence that in the holy month of Ramadan is the month of light, the light of Qur’an. It means these lights of Qur’an that Allah (AJ) want to dress upon the nation of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, He puts in the middle of Ramadan, the birthday of Imam al-Hassan (as).
It means that that noon and that light is a secret and a dress from Holy Qur’an. By having this light and by having this love, by having the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, the love of Ahlul Bayt (Holy Family of Prophet ﷺ), Allah (AJ) opens for us the immensities of the secrets of nur. That Rahman comes to dress us. The key of the opening of Rahman is the love of Imam al-Hassan (as). It’s like a Miftah ur Rahmah, the Key of Mercy.
We Need the Lights of Holy Souls to Be With Sayyidina Mahdi (as)
That this love of Prophet ﷺ and that when we love what Prophet ﷺ loves of his holy companions and holy family, it means Allah (AJ) put that secret in this reality of Imam al-Hassan (as). That when you love him and that you celebrate that love and you come together and remember that love, remember his holy birth as if Allah (AJ) giving us the secret of lights from the sultan and the king of that reality. His holy arwah (soul) of Imam al-Hassain (as), what he dresses upon the nation of the secrets of these lights and the secrets of these blessings. “Noon wal Qalam”.
﴾ن ۚ وَالْقَلَمِ وَمَا يَسْطُرُونَ ﴿١
68:1 – “Noon. Wal Qalami wa ma yasTuroon.” (Surat Al-Qalam)
“Noon. By the pen and what they inscribe.” (The Pen, 68:1)
It means that just the immensities of these blessings keep dressing the nation. That this light and how it dresses us and blesses us of its immensities. This is the light that we are in need of to be with Sayyidina Mahdi (as). This is the light that Ramadan dresses us with. In the last days, the Ramadan of the last days become the month of power, the month of spiritual dress to prepare us for the events that happening upon this Earth, the difficulties that coming upon this Earth.
Oppression and Darkness Have Enveloped the Earth
So, that as the Earth is cast into darkness, the believers will be cast into light. It means that Allah (AJ) begins to turn the lights off on dunya (material world) and cast them into a zulumat (oppression). It means when we say that darkness is coming onto the Earth, zalim (oppressor). The word for oppression is the same word for darkness. So, when we say that a zulum is coming and you see it, you see all the signs of them. All of these signs are upon this Earth.
It means that a zulum has come, an oppression has come upon this Earth. As a result, that oppression, its equal sign is darkness. So, then what happens with darkness? Literally, people are cast into darkness. They’re not understanding which way to go. They look and see their accounts are going to be taken. They look another way, their rights are going to be taken. They look another way, this is going to collapse. That every direction that people are looking at and this is not us saying this.
Social Media is Full of Anxiety and Darkness
This you look at social media and you get nervous just listening to how nervous they are, right? You have to take an antidepressant just to watch what their social media is doing. That’s what we call ourselves – ‘The Watchers’ – that sit at a distance with your faith and look to them. You know, before you would have to sit with a spiritual eye to look what’s happening with humanity. Subhanallah, Allah (AJ) made that to be so miraculously easy that He’s allowing everybody to look.
So, look at social media. That you look at social media like casting a vision upon the Earth and from one click to the next feed, next feed, next feed, next feed, they’re all dying of anxiety. That, ‘This is going to…this is going to happen. This is going to happen. This is going to happen.’ Everyone so nervously and frantically sort of saying all the things that are going to happen but as an outside observer, you’re watching and vigilantly seeing. What are these people talking about? This is the zulumat that coming.
When in Darkness, Do You Lose Your Inhibitions or Seek Your Spiritual Remedy?
As a darkness begins to enter into a room, what happens when the people who don’t have night vision? They become worried. What happens in this darkness? I no longer see what’s an obstacle in this room that’s going to hurt me. Maybe there’s something in this room that I’ll bump into. Maybe there’s creatures that I can’t see anymore and now it becomes something dangerous for me. So, we see the signs of this zulumat by just being an outside observer through social media.
The immensity of their panic, the immensity of their fears and worries and concerns. They said that two things happen in an extreme state of danger. One – is that people will become hyper alert and conscious of their death. As a result, they move towards spirituality. They see that death and difficulty is imminent and they have a guidance within themself to find their spiritual remedy. Or they become…they lose all inhibitions. They become extremely negative, bad and vulgar because they believe the world is ending. Therefore, they’re going to end it with a bang. You see now that dichotomy coming upon this Earth in which they’re extremely vulgar as if they know they’re going to die, but they’re dying tomorrow. The others, extremely worried and taking out the light.
Build Good Character and Navigate Your Path Through Your Heart
So, it means the signs are evident for those whom have eyes to see and they don’t even need spiritual eyes to see. The purpose of the meditation, the connection, the madad and the support and what we described last week, the strongest reality of madad (support) is not that which you try to understand scientifically through your mind but through the good character. With the good character and love for these holy souls, with the good character and love, with good actions and good deeds, it opens and blossoms the heart of reality.
If that heart opens like a magnet, it will be attracted to the oceans of Divine love. It will find its course back. It’s not a calibration through the head that, ‘Where’s the heavens? How do I connect with Prophet ﷺ? Do I have to, like a ship, look in the dark?’ You know how they find the qibla (direction of prayer) when they’re praying? They move the carpet two degrees this way and two degrees that way as if they’re shooting something to the direction of the Ka’bah because everything they do is by their mind. But this is a path based on the heart.
Ka’bah Is Exactly Where Your Heart is
Ka’bah is exactly where your heart is whether you go this way, that way. Allah (AJ) says, ‘Wherever you turn your face is the Ka’bah’. So, the one whom their ishq (love) of Allah (AJ) is in their heart, wherever they are, Allah’s (AJ) qibla (direction of prayer) is right there.
It means that this qalb and this heart, if we condition it with the good character, good manners, increase the salawat (praises upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ), make all of this love and nasheeds (songs of praise) and all of these praisings and deeds of love and muhabbat, the heart is a magnet; like a rose that will direct itself to the presence of Prophet ﷺ. Prophet’s ﷺ magnetic juzba (magnetism) is attracted to the beatific character and deeds of insan (mankind). It’s repelled by badness. That’s why then we purify the deeds and actions. My juzba and my connection to the presence of Prophet ﷺ is by the purity of my ishq.
Transform Into Pure Gold Through Istighfar and Salawat
Anything that’s impure in my light, based on my deeds and my actions, is my responsibility to clean them, to perfect them, to make an amends in which to rid myself of them. As a result, when that impurity goes and burned away, washed away with istighfar (seeking forgiveness), with conscious awareness of what was wrong and what’s bad and make a conscious effort to change the bad character, what happens? It becomes like a pure gold.
That pure gold and that pure sort of magnetic connection to Prophet ﷺ, with the salawats, the durood (praising on Prophet Muhammad ﷺ), the nasheeds, all of these celebrations, the charity, going out and giving food and giving services like a magnet and a ship that directly moves to the presence of Prophet ﷺ. The purpose of the shaykh is then to make that reflection and give the teaching and continuously encourage the student good character and love, good character and love and leave the bad and increase the good.
Become Rashidin and Mahdiyeen Through the Love of Prophet ﷺ
As a result of their meditation and keep making your heart to be connected, keep doing all of these good practices, this love is beginning to reflect upon the student. As a part of that reflection, they move faster into the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. As a result of that light and that love, they become in these last days, Mahdiyoon. What do we have in the Jum’ah (Friday prayer)? “Khulafa e Rashidin al Mahdiyeen badahum wuzarai kamilin” (The Perfectly and Rightly Guided Muhammadan Representatives).
It means that this is the three states we must go through. That Allah (AJ) wants us to be Rashidin (rightly guided) and Mahdiyeen (Muhammadan guides). Rashidin means that you’re under sifat ar-Rashid and irshad (guidance). So, one whom doesn’t have a shaykh, this becomes a very difficult attribute to be dressed by. To be Rashidin means somebody with a sifat ar-Rashid, the one whom Allah (AJ) gave irshad and guidance and you’re under their guidance. It means this attribute of Ar-Rashid and guidance is being given to you so now you’re in the category of being trained as Rashidin. Mahdiyeen are the Muhammadan Hadi (guide). These are the Muhammadan guides.
We Cannot Become Rashidin or Kamilin Without a Guide
That through their ishq and their love in the Muhammadan reality; as a result of that reality, they’re dressing their servant, the servants of Allah (AJ), their students with hidayat and guidance. So, we can’t be Rashidin if we’re not under irshad and guidance, if we don’t have a guide who’s dressing us from that reality. If the guide is teaching us of the love of Prophet ﷺ, what happens? Not only you become al-Hadi, the one whom has been guided but you become the Muhammadan Hadi which is Mahdiyeen.
That their guidance is towards the perfection of guidance and the perfection of character, the most perfected character, the Muhammadan character. This is immense dressings and realities to the presence of Sayyidina Mahdi (as), to be Kamilin (perfected guides) in which they’re becoming kamil (perfected) in the oceans of the Muhammadan light from Insan al Kamil. It means that the perfection of the Muhammadan reality is dressing the servant, dressing the servant and this is immense realities and dress to be present and to move into the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad al-Mahdi (as). We pray that Allah (AJ) grant us these lights, grant us these characteristics and that to make our being to be from these realities, inshaAllah.
