Secrets of 9 in Ramadan – Al Muntaqim Will Avenge Our Soul

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ 

A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ. Madad ya Sayyidi ya Rasulul Kareem, Ya Habibul ‘Azeem, unzur halana wa ishfa’lana, ‘abidona bi madadikum wa nazarekum.

Atiullah wa atiur Rasul wa Ulil amre minkum. Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence. 

أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنكُم… ﴿٥٩﴾‏ …

4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)

“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)

Fast in Ramadan to Be Purified Like a Newborn

Begin the understanding that this is the secret of the 9^th month. In this 12 months of ma’rifah (gnosticism), 9 represents annihilation. 9 is the sultan (king) of all numbers. Anything multiplied by 9 will reduce itself to 9. It means the sultanate (kingdom) of that number is that anything that comes into its fana (annihilation) will be brought back to the 9. So, it means that Allah (AJ) wanted to grant in this month of power, the siyam and the fasting. The fasting is the secret of annihilation. That whatever the servant has put upon them of sins, Ramadan will wash it and wipe it completely clean as if the soul was something newborn.

 عَنْ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنَ بِنْ عَوفْ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ “: إِنَّ رَمَضَانَ شَهْرٌ اَفْتَرَضَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ صِيَامَهُ. وَإِنِّي سَنَنْتُ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ قِيَامَهُ. فَمَنْ صَامَهُ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا، خَرَجَ مِنْ الذُّنُوبِ كَيَوْمِ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ.” [مُسْنَدْ أَحْمَدْ بِنْ حَنْبَلْ ١٦٢١] 

‘An ‘Abdur Rahman bin ‘Awf qala, qala Rasulullahi ﷺ, “Inna Ramadana shahrun aftarada Allahu ‘Azza wa Jalla Siyamahu. Wa inni sanantu lil Muslimina qiyamahu. Faman samahu Imanan wahtesaban, kharaja minaz zunubi kayawmi waladathu Ummuhu.” [Musnad Ahmad bin Hanbal 1621] 

‘Abdur Rahman bin ‘Awf narrated that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, “Verily, Ramadan is a month in which Allah Almighty has made its fasting an obligation. And I established its Qiyam (nightly devotion and prayers) as my sunnah for the Muslims. So whoever fasts in it out of faith and in hope of reward, will be rid of his sins like the day he was born from his mother.” [Musnad Aḥmad Ibn Hanbal 1621] 

Only Prophet’s ﷺ Names Open the Names of Allah (AJ)

The 9 x 9 is the reality of 81. 81 is an entry way. From Dala’il Khairat (book of praising on Prophet ﷺ), awliyaullah (saints) take the names of Allah (AJ) and right below the name of Allah (AJ) is a name of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, Miftah ur Rahmah (The Key of Mercy) ﷺ. It means that Prophet’s ﷺ name is a name that opens Allah’s (AJ) names. Allah’s (AJ) name never open from “Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum.” It flows in a direction towards insan (mankind), that have to have a key from the name of Prophet ﷺ to open the names of Allah (AJ).

﴾أَطِيعُواللَّه وَأَطِيعُوٱلرَّسُولَ وَأُوْلِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ… ﴿٥٩…

4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat An-Nisa)

“… Obey Allah, Obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)

Al-Muntaqim Avenges Our Souls in Ramadan

So, it means that the 81^st name of Allah (AJ) is Al-Muntaqim, Al-Muntaqim. It means Allah (AJ) is The Avenger, Avenger of His servant. We said with the name of Al Muntaqim, Allah (AJ) wants to revenge His servants. It means that shaitan (satan) all year long has been bothering, has been dirtying, has been doing everything disgraceful for that creature that Allah (AJ) favours and loves, to make it to be bad and dirty. So, the seeker of that month, of its power is sifat Al-Muntaqim. As soon as the servant enters in to accept the fast, that “Ya Rabbi, I want to fast this month,” Allah’s (AJ) reward, Allah’s (AJ) greatest reward, is, “I’m going to avenge your soul.”

So, when people say shaitan is locked up, no, shaitan is not locked up. Shaitan everywhere. Look at how they kill people the most in Ramadan. But your shaitan will be locked up. As soon as you enter into siyam (fasting), Allah (AJ) begin to beat and burn the shaitan that’s accompanying every person. Every person has their very own VIP devil assigned to them that completely attack them, disgrace them, humiliate them.

Sifat Al-Muntaqim Opens Through the Grace of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

Al-Muntaqim, as soon as they agreed to fast, sifat Al-Muntaqim comes and begins like shihab, lights from the heavens and angels coming and begin to bombard the servant; beat, beat, beat the devil on all that he has put upon so that’s a tremendous cleansing. This sifat Al-Muntaqim opens with the name of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, ya Sayyidina Zu Fadl ﷺ, the Possessor of All Grace. Bi fadhlillah means that this is a name of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That by that reality and that grace and a gift of Prophet ﷺ, he’s giving that gift to his ummah (nation).

That if you fast this month, that what Allah (AJ) will give to my nation will begin to cleanse the soul and take away every disgrace, every badness until by the end, the soul is like a newborn child at the end of the year, at the end of the month.

Glory Be to Him Who Draws Near to His Power/Omnipotence and Eternal Existence

The hijab (veil) that coming, these 12 eternal hijabs that Allah (AJ) has dressed the light of Nurul Muhammadi ﷺ (Light of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) that has no time. There are 12 hijabs that Allah (AJ) has, eternally been under the nazar (gaze) of Allah (AJ) upon the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Those hijab for this month is the hijab of Nubuwwah, that prophecy. The zikr (Divine remembrance) of this month, “Subhana man taqarrab bil qudrati wal baqa.”

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ تَقَرَّبْ بِالْقُدْرَةِ وَالْبَقَا

“Subhana man taqarrab bil qudrati wal baqa.”

“Glory be to Him who draws near to His Power/Omnipotence and Eternal Existence”

So, it means throughout the day, throughout the prayer that when you’re meditating, when people are praying, you sit and meditate, “Subhana man taqarrab bil qudrati wal baqa.” That this is a month in which Allah (AJ) want to dress the realities of qudra (power) and the 9 and the secret of 9 in every month.

The Three 9s in Surat al Qadr Shower Immense Powers Upon Us

It means that the 9, the 18 and the 27^th day are powers of 9 because 18 goes back to 9, 27 goes back to 9. There are three 9s and they are the three 9s of Surat al Qadr. 3 times Allah (AJ) mentioned Lailatul Qadr in Surat al Qadr. It means that at the 9, the 18, and the 27, immense powers are coming down. 27^th then is the opening of the gates of paradise, Lailatul Qadr, that everything is coming and dressing upon the soul.

﴾إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ ﴿١﴾ وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ ﴿٢﴾ لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ ﴿٣﴾ تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ ﴿٤﴾ سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ ﴿٥

97:1-5 – “Innaa anzalnaahu fee lailatil qadr. (1) Wa maa adraaka ma lailatul qadr (2) Lailatul qadri khairum min alfee shahr. (3) Tanaz zalul malaa-ikatu war roohu feeha bi izni-rab bihim min kulli amr. (4) Salaamun hiya hattaa mat la’il fajr. (5)” (Surat Al-Qadr)

“We have brought it down on the night of power. (1) And what will explain to you what the night of power is? (2) The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. (3) The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every Command/affair. (4) Peace it is until the emergence of dawn. (5)” (The Power, 97:1-5)

“Subhana man taqarrab bil qudrati wal baqa.” We pray that Allah (AJ) give us an understanding.
