In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
We are all under the Ahl al Sunnah wal Jamat, in different mazhab (creeds), Alhamdulillah, with different zawq (taste). The mazhab means you keep your mazhab; you want to pray the way Imam Shafi teaches, Imam Hanafi, Imam Hanbali, Imam Maliki – no problem. Some of us are following the way of zawq, the way of the taste. From the shuyukh (spiritual masters), who came to perfect the character and said that, ‘Now that you learned all your shari’ah (jurisprudence), and your understandings of Islam, let us to come and perfect your akhlaq and your character, to make you to be sweet.’ And they are the Ahlul Muhabbat and the Ahlul Haqqa’iq, and the real lovers of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
The Silent Majority Needs to Raise the Flags of Love
The lovers of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ are huge in number, but silent. It’s important that we come out in numbers and keep pushing the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, the way that we want to show our love. Alhamdulillah, that we come to these organizations, come to these mawlids (celebrations of Prophet’s ﷺ birth). Anybody who organizes a mawlid and we all go to that mawlid, so that we can show that we should have 10,000, 15,000 in a mawlid. Not only on a national day that people come out in huge numbers, but they should be coming for the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
We are under a tremendous amount of azab (difficulties) that is coming onto this dunya (material world). And awliyaullah (saints) are sending isharat (sign) to all mashayikh (spiritual guides) that do something that Allah (AJ) keep a rahmah (mercy) above you, your family, and your community. That your own amal and the actions that you do, alhamdulillah, they may be good, they may be judged by Allah (AJ). But, what brings the rahmah and the fa’iz (downpouring of blessings) and the barakah (blessings) in life is the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
Through Mawlid You Get Allah’s (AJ) Attention and Rahmah (Mercy)
When we do these associations, majlis (associations), mehfils and zikrs (divine remembrance) and mawlids, it brings Allah’s (AJ) rahmah. Now you have attention of the heavens because Allah (AJ) is happy that in this day, because we’re not talking about Lahore, we’re not talking about Afghanistan, we’re not talking about Indonesia where there’s 100 million Muslims. We are talking about Canada, we’re talking about Vancouver, that from the heavens they look and they say, ‘Look, they’re coming for mehfils, they’re coming for zikr, they’re coming for the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.’ Now you get heaven’s attention; Allah’s (AJ) Rahmah and Allah’s (AJ) Nazar (gaze) is upon the associations because they love whom Allah (AJ) loves.
That is a safety for ourselves, for our families, for our communities and it brings a tremendous dress of rahmah and blessings. We have to increase the amount of love by these associations, by these practices, by all of what we’re trying to do in our collective communities. Then coming together to unify, to show that we are large in number. But we are not going to stay silent, we are not going to stay quiet, we’re not going to have to listen to their aqidah (belief).
People Stand Up Out of Respect For Everyone But Their Prophet ﷺ
They keep telling us that you don’t have to stand out respect for Prophet ﷺ. When we came here we went with these different organizations. They told me that, ‘Can I ask you, Shaykh, why you have to stand for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ?’ We didn’t say anything. We went to their big event; they called the national anthem for the country, and they all stood up! No problem, alhamdulillah, we are the people of adab (manners) – we stand for everyone. We show ihtiram (respect) to everyone, “Ateeullah atee ur Rasul wa Ulil amrin minkum.” (‘Obey Allah, Obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…’ The Women, 4:59). This government is ulil amr; but why you don’t stand for your Prophet ﷺ? Why did you do that? Why do you show every ihtiram for everything?
If a politician comes, oh they dress their best. They say, ‘Oh we have now so and so coming,’ as if you’re going to get free money from that. You dress your best, you put your suit, you get all excited and you come running there, shake a hand, and take a photo. It is not of any value for us in akhirah (afterlife). Allah (AJ) is going to say, ‘Were you with this person and all the crimes they committed?’ You say, ‘Oh, ya Rabbi (my Lord), I took just the photo for business sake, I’m not with them!’
Then when you come and show ihtiram and you come and you love the Shaykhs, you love their students, you love the lovers of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, they say, ‘ya Akhi, (oh brother) this is a shirk (polytheism).’ Are you crazy? What shirk? We’re worshipping Allah ! When we show ihtiram and love for each other and respect, this is what Prophet ﷺ wanted for us.
If You Love Prophet ﷺ Have the Best of Character
Prophet ﷺ wanted for us to respect each other, love each other, show kindness and gentleness to each other because this is Allah’s (AJ) Ni’mat (blessing) and favour, because Prophet ﷺ is Khuluq al ‘Azim. Allah (AJ) said Prophet ﷺ is the one with the majestic character.
68:4 – “Wa innaka la’ala khuluqin ‘azheem.” (Surat Al-Qalam)
“Truly, You (O Muhammad!) are of a magnificent character.” (The Pen, 68:4)
If we are loving Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, we must have the best of character, the humblest of character, the loving of character, and to love and to respect each other. And they can’t see that. It means that it’s important for us to come out, to have events, and have large events, and continuous everywhere, everywhere have events so they can see that this silent majority is not silent anymore. And if they want to do what they want to do, then let them do what they want to do. But we have to make our communities to be safe. We have to make our homes to be safe. And the safeness for us is love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
Who Brought You the Holy Qur’an?
Recently awliyaullah (saints) are opening up these realities and all this love for Prophet ﷺ. We pray that our hearts open more and more for that love and that understanding and to understand the greatness of our Prophet ﷺ. As they respect Holy Qur’an and we respect Holy Qur’an – we just go a drop into the oceans of realities, because some people may not understand the reality.
Who brought you the Holy Qur’an? Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Sayyidina Jibreel (as) doesn’t have the power to bring that. Because Allah (AJ) says, the Holy Qur’an, if I put it onto the mountain, it will be khashiya (dust). But the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ brings Holy Qur’an onto this earth.
59:21 – “Law anzalna hadha alQurana ‘ala jabalin laraaytahu, khashi’an mutasaddi’an min khashyatillahi, wa tilkal amthalu nadribuha linnasi la’allahum yatafakkaroon.” (Surat Al-Hashr)
“Had We sent down this Qur’an on a mountain, verily, you would have seen it obliterated to dust (from its power) And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will Contemplate…” (The Exile, 59:21)
When Sayyidina Jibreel (as) was bringing wahy (revelation) to Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, Prophet ﷺ asked, ‘Ya Jibreel, where you get your wahy from?’ He ﷺ wants to give a tarbiyah (self discipline) and an understanding; malaika (angels) are under the feet of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. They made a sajdatul ihtiram (prostration of respect) for Sayyidina Adam (as) (Holy Qur’an, 2:34) – why? Because Nurul Muhammad ﷺ.
2:34 – “Wa idh qulna lilmalayikati osjudo li Adama fasajado illa ibleesa aba wastakbara wa kana minal kafireen.” (Surah Al-Baqarah)
“And [mention] when We said to the angels, “Bow Down/make prostration to Adam”; so they prostrated, except for Iblis. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers/who reject faith.” (The Cow, 2:34)
Where Did Jibreel (as) Bring the Wahy (Revelation) From?
Allah (AJ) said, “Ateeullah atee ar-Rasul wa ulil amrin minkum.” (Obey Allah, Obey the messenger, and those in authority among you…’ Holy Qur’an, 4:59).
(Surat An-Nisa)
“O You who have believed, Obey Allah, Obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you.” (The Women, 4:59)
Malaika are working through ulil amr. It means the azemat (greatness) of Allah (AJ) is dressing Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Prophet ﷺ asked Sayyidina Jibreel (Gabriel) , ‘Where are you getting the wahy (revelation) from, ya Jibreel?’
Jibreel (as) said, ‘I go and there is a pardah (veil). From this pardah is a hand that comes and gives me what to bring to you, ya RasulAllah ﷺ.’
Prophet ﷺ said, ‘This time I’m giving you permission, go to that pardah and move it.’
He said, ‘If you’re giving permission, alhamdulillah.’ Next time wahy comes, he goes to the heavens. As soon as the hand appears, he asked for permission, moves the pardah (curtain) and it’s Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
Nothing Comes Between Allah (AJ) and His Habib (Beloved), Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
Is there anyone between Allah (AJ) and His Rasul ﷺ? “Qaab al qawsayni wa adna” (at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer, Holy Qur’an, 53:9) When Allah (AJ) revealed to His Messenger ﷺ what no one understands, the sound in which Allah (AJ) recites Holy Qur’an to the heart, to the soul of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, nothing in creation can contain that. “Qaab qawsayni aw adna.” (Two bow lengths or nearer).
53:9 – “Fakana qaaba qawsayni aw adna. (Surat An-Najm)
“And was at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer [to the Divine Presence]. (The Star, 53:9)
When Prophet ﷺ taught the ma’rifah (gnosticism) of hadith al Jabir, ‘I’m the first of what Allah (AJ) has created. I’m the first from Allah’s (AJ) Light, when there was no angel, there was no Ka’bah (house of Allah (AJ)), there was no Bayt al Ma’mur, there was no ‘Arsh (throne). There was nothing but the light of your Nabi ﷺ.’ It means nothing comes between Allah (AJ) and RasulAllah ﷺ, “bayna Ahad wa Ahmad ﷺ”, there is nothing. Nothing comes between “qaab al qawsayni aw adna.” (Holy Qur’an, 53:9)

“An Jabir Qala: Qultu: Ya RasulAllah ﷺ, “bi Abi anta wa Ummi, Akhberni ‘an awwala shayin Khalqahu Allahu qablal ashyayi?”
Qala ﷺ: “Ya Jabir, in Allah khalaqa qablal Ashiya e Nooru Nabiyika min Noorehi. Translation:
Jabir ibn ‘Abd Allah said to the Prophet ﷺ: “O Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you, tell me of the first thing Allah created before all things.”
He (Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) said: “O Jabir, the first thing Allah created was the light of your Prophet from His (Allah’s) light, and that light remained (lit. turned) in the midst of His Power for as long as He wished, and at that time, there was no Tablet and no Pen, and no Paradise and no Fire, and no angel, and no heaven and no earth, and no Sun and no Moon, and No Human being and no jinn.
And when Allah (AJ) wished to create creation, he divided that Light into four parts and from the first made the Pen, from the second the Tablet, from the third the Throne, [and from the fourth everything else].”
It means that what Allah (AJ) reveals of Holy Qur’an to the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, nothing can contain, nothing can hold that. It means in this dunya (earth), through the heart of Prophet ﷺ is coming Kitabullah (book of Allah).
Why Was the Holy Qur’an Not Compiled at the Time of Prophet ﷺ?
In the time of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, was there a kitab (book)? No – why? Because he is the walking Qur’an, out of ihtiram (respect), that in the presence of the walking Qur’an, why make pages and books? They didn’t even have permission to compile the Qur’an. They kept all of the papers separate. Why? Because Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is the walking Qur’an.
When Allah (AJ) said ‘Alim al Kitab (Holy Qur’an, 2:151), he is going to teach you the book.’ It means He ﷺ is the walking Kitabullah, His nur (light) is the one that is dressing you and blessing you. “Feekum Rasulun…” ‘within you is the messenger’ (Holy Qur’an, 2:151)
(Surat Al-Baqarah)
“Just as We have sent among (within) you a messenger of your own, reciting to you Our Signs, and purifying you, and teaching you the Book/Scripture (Qur’an) and Wisdom, and teaching you New Knowledge, that which you did not know.” (The Cow, 2:151)
The Power of Qur’an Comes Only through Nur Muhammad ﷺ
Only after Prophet’s ﷺ passing, after a few hafiz (one who has memorized the Qur’an) died in battle, they had permission then you make the mushaf (written copy of Qur’an). That kitab you carry is a furqaan, is a book of right and wrong. Its power doesn’t come until Nurul Muhammad ﷺ. That is why when you give your kids something, you’re not going to give them something loaded with a lot of power. When Allah (AJ) says, ‘The Holy Qur’an, if I put onto a mountain, it will be dust.’ You think that what you are carrying has that power? Impossible! Allah (AJ) says, ‘I make you and the mountain to be dust.’
Prophet ﷺ is the Reality of Holy Qur’an – He Will Teach You the Book
The reality of Qur’an is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. He is the walking Holy Qur’an. What you have is furqaan. So, it’s like a code. You have to bring the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, which is maqam al iman (station of faith). When Prophet ﷺ said, ‘Love me more than you love yourself.’
“La yuminu ahadukum hatta akona ahabba ilayhi min walidihi wa waladihi wan Nasi ajma’yeen.”
“None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind.” (Prophet Muhammad ﷺ)
Nurul Muhammad ﷺ comes and Allah (AJ) says, ‘He’s going to teach you the book, “alam al kitabi wal hikmah”, and he give you all of its wisdoms.’ Why? Because this is the light of Prophet ﷺ. That Holy Qur’an is ever-living and daim (eternal). Its power is continuous and the only thing we understand of daim is the soul. It means that Nurul Muhammad ﷺ is carrying all that power. As soon as you make one durood shareef (praising), one durood shareef, Prophet ﷺ promised that, ‘Allah (AJ) will let my soul to come into your presence and I make ten durood upon you.’
Qala RasulAllah ﷺ: “Man Salla ‘alaiya Salatan wahidatan, Sallallahu ‘alayhi ‘ashra Salawatin, wa Huttat ‘anhu ‘ashru khaTeatin, wa ruf’at lahu ‘ashru darajatin.”
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Whoever sends blessings [Praises] upon me, God will shower His blessings upon him ten times, and will erase ten of his sins, and elevate [raise] his [spiritual] station ten times.” (Hadith, recorded by Nasa’i)
What is the durood (praising) of Prophet ﷺ? Awliyaullah want us to know it’s Holy Qur’an, “alim al kitabi wal hikmah” (He will teach you the book and its wisdom, Holy Qur’an, 2:151).
Light of Prophet ﷺ is ‘Feekum’ (Among You/Within You)
Allah (AJ) says ‘feekum’. Allah (AJ) is describing that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ‘feekum’, is with you, but you don’t have the eyes to see it. If you look through your heart Prophet ﷺ must be right there. Every isharat (sign) Allah (AJ) gave to us, so if you don’t believe it you’re calling His name ﷺ in your azaan (call to prayer).
“Ashhadu an la ilaha illalah, Ashhadu anna Muhammadan RasulAllah.”
“I bear witness that there is no god but Allah. I bear witness that Muhammad (pbuh) is the messenger of Allah.”
If you don’t believe it, you’re praying in the form of Ahmad – alif, ha, meem, dal ﷺ. If you don’t believe it, in your salat (prayer) you say, ‘Assalamu alaika ayyuhan Nabi ﷺ,’ (Peace be upon you, oh Prophet ﷺ), before you close your salat, you’re saying, ‘Assalamu alaika’ in present tense. It means the soul is in the present facing Prophet ﷺ.
Everything Allah (AJ) wanted for us is to ignite the power of Holy Qur’an. ‘Even if you’re jahl (ignorant), I’m going to make you to do it, because you have to mention Prophet’s ﷺ name in azaan, you have to mention Prophet’s ﷺ name in your salat, you have to mention Prophet’s ﷺ name throughout the day by saying, ‘Ashhadu an la ilaha ilAllah, ashhadu anna Muhammadun RasulAllah ﷺ.” (I bear witness that there is no God but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.)
“I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad (pbuh) is the servant and the messenger of Allah.”
And He gives the final big blessing, that even if all your life you denied that reality, on your death bed somebody will come and recite Surat YaSeen; and that is the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
Qala Nabiyu ﷺ: “Iqra’u YaSeen ‘ala mawtakum.”
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “Recite chapter of YaSeen (36th chapter of Holy Qur’an) over those of you who are dying/deceased.”
Don’t Leave Allah’s (AJ) Rahmah (Mercy) When You Read Qur’an
Wherever you look it’s, “Wa ma arsalnaka rahmatan lil ‘alameen.” (‘We didn’t send you, except as a Mercy to creation’, Holy Qur’an, 21:107). Allah (AJ) says, ‘Why you want to deny My Rahmah?’
21:107 – “Wa maa arsalnaka illa Rahmatan lil’alameen.” (Surat Al-Anbiya)
“And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds/creation.” (The Prophets, 21:107)
My Rahmah (mercy) is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. If you don’t have Prophet ﷺ, the book you’re reading is furqaan (book of right and wrong), and it’s a very dangerous book because it has no rahmah. So, when you’re seeing and watching around the TV, they’re reading the same book; but for them it’s furqaan. They have no “wa ma arsalnaka”; they have no love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Without the love of Prophet ﷺ, it’s all about kill this one, slay that one, burn this one. It’s a formula; Allah (AJ) said, ‘Don’t ever leave that formula. Keep My Book and the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, it becomes the rahmah of that and becomes the reality of Qur’an.’ What we have is furqaan.
When you go to all the schools of hafiz (memorizer) Qur’an here, and they have brought the little kids for hafiz. They say, ‘MashaAllah, my kid now is reading Qur’an, reading Qur’an, reading Qur’an.’ And the first thing I ask is, ‘How many salawats (praisings) are you doing a day?’
‘Salawats? What? What is salawat?’
Oh, this kitab is going to be very dangerous, because this child is going to be raised now on furqaan, very hard. Everything is about killing and destroying, nothing about rahmah (mercy); you left out the formula. Allah (AJ) says, ‘I would not have sent the reality,’ because of His Love for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, “wa ma arsalnaka rahmatan lil ‘alamin.” If you leave the rahmah, then you don’t have what Allah (AJ) wanted for us of Holy Qur’an.
Reality of Furqaan, Qur’an, and Ummul Kitab –
Amr (Command) of Allah (AJ) is in Qur’an and His Irada (Will) is in the Ummul Kitab
So, you have furqaan, with Prophet ﷺ is Qur’an, in the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, in the heavens is Ummul Kitab. Ummul Kitab – Alif, Meem. (Alif – Izzatullah (honour), Meem – Muhammad ﷺ) nothing comes into that. Allah (AJ) describes that in Surat YaSeen, that, ‘My Amr and My Irada (Will) is in the heart of Prophet ﷺ.’ The Amr (Command) is what’s known, it’s Qur’an; Irada and the Will of Allah (AJ) is in Ummul Kitab. It means everything is in the haqqa’iq (realities) of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
36:82 – “Innama AmruHu idha Arada shay an, an yaqola lahu kun faya koon.” (Surat YaSeen)
“His Command is when He Wills/Intends a thing, He says to it, “Be,” and it is!” (YaSeen, 36:82)
Nur Muhammad ﷺ Was Sent From Heavens Loaded With Holy Qur’an
We pray that Allah (AJ) open for us, so when you do Mawlid an Nabi ﷺ it’s not only celebrating the birthday of Prophet ﷺ, you are celebrating the Holy Qur’an. Without Mawlid an Nabi, there was no “tanzilal Azizir Raheem” (Holy Qur’an, 36:5). “YaSeen”, Allah (AJ) is testifying by Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. “YaSeen; wal Qur’an al hakim.

36:1-5 – “Ya-Seen. (1) Wal Qur’anal Hakeem. (2) Innaka laminal mursaleen. (3) ‘Ala siratim mustaqeem. (4) Tanzilal ‘Azizir Raheem. (5)” (Surat YaSeen)
“Ya-Seen.(1) By the Qur’an, full of Wisdom. (2) Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers, (3) On a straight path. (4) A Revelation descended/sent down by the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. (5)” (YaSeen, 36:1-5)
It means, ‘Everything I’ve given of Qur’an and hikmah (wisdom) is in this reality of YaSeen ﷺ.’ “Tanzilal ‘Azizir Raheem” that his reality and His soul ﷺ – what Allah (AJ) tanzil (was sent down)? Did the kitab come by itself and was thrown down? The soul of Prophet ﷺ tanzil, the mawlid, the soul of Prophet ﷺ came from paradise realities with what – loaded with Holy Qur’an, the book of Allah (AJ) that no nation had, and it contains every book within it. Allah (AJ) says, ‘If there is a book that can raise the dead, this is the one.’ (Holy Qur’an, 13:31). That everything and every praise is written in this holy book.
13:31 – “Wa law anna Quranan suyyirat bihil jibaalu aw qutti’at bihil ardu, aw kullima bihil mawtaa; bal lillaahil Amru jamee’a…”
(Surat Ar-Ra’d)
“And if there was any qur’an by which the mountains would be removed or the earth would be broken apart or the dead would be made to speak, [it would be this Qur’an], but to Allah belongs the affair entirely…” (The Thunder, 13:31)
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is Kitabullah (Book of Allah (AJ))
Allah (AJ) is describing this book, “Tanzil al ‘Azizir Raheem.” (Sent down by (Him), the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful, Holy Qur’an, 36:82)
36:5 – “Tanzilal ‘Azizir Raheem.” (Surah YaSeen)
“(A Revelation) sent down by (Him), the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful.” (YaSeen, 36:5)
‘Sent down by Azizir Raheem’. ‘It’s coming from paradises; now the soul of my most beloved is coming with My Kitab. He is the walking kitab.’ So every time you read Holy Qur’an when it says ‘Kitabullah’, there was no kitab. Allah (AJ) is making reference to whom? To Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Kitab was compiled by Sahabi (companions) after the passing of Prophet ﷺ. And they fought; they fought that, ‘Don’t make that. That’s a big bid’a (innovation), We didn’t have this in the time of Prophet ﷺ.’
They said, ‘No, but all our hafiz (those who memorized) are passing away.’ They came with ijtima (congregations) and they said, ‘No problem.’
But Qur’an, when Allah (AJ) is talking about kitab, kitab, kitab, it’s who? There was no kitab. It’s in reference to Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, the walking Qur’an. Sayyidatina ‘Aisha (as) (Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ wife), said that, ‘He’s walking Qur’an’ and ‘his akhlaq (character) is walking Qur’an ﷺ.’
Qalat as Sayyidatu ‘Aisha : “Kana Quranan yamshi ‘alal Ard.”
The beloved Sayyidatina Aisha (as) (wife of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) said: “He (Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)) was a walking Qur’an on earth.”
and
Suyelat as Sayyidatu Aisha (as), ‘an khulqe RasulAllah ﷺ. Faqalat: “Kana Khuluqu hul Qurana.”
When our beloved Sayyidatina Aisha was asked about the Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ character she said: “His character/manners were the Holy Qur’an.”
We pray that Allah (AJ) dress us and bless, that the Mawlid an Nabi ﷺ is that Allah (AJ) dress us from Holy Qur’an, dress us from light, dress us from ma’rifah, dress us from every reality, bi barakat Muhammad al Mustafa ﷺ.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen.
Bi hurmati Muhammad al Mustafa wa bi sirri Surat al Fatiha.
