Light and Majesty Dress Their Hands – Hands will Testify Tafsir 36:83 & 36:65

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashraful Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ. Madad ya Sayyidi ya Rasulul Kareem, Ya Habibul ‘Azeem, unzur halana wa ishfa’lana, ‘abidona bi madadikum wa nazarekum.

“‘Auzu billahi minash Shaitanir rajeem Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem. Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum.” And a reminder always for myself, ya Rabbi, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl. And by the Grace of Allah (AJ) that we are still in existence and the rahmah (mercy) of Allah (AJ), inshaAllah, to always be upon us and dress us and guide us.

﴾أَطِيعُواللَّه وَأَطِيعُوٱلرَّسُولَ وَأُوْلِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ… ﴿٥٩…

4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat An-Nisa)

“… Obey Allah, Obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)

Knowing Yourself is Not Simple

Alhamdulillah, they take from Holy Qur’an, from holy hadith, oceans of reality. And from Prophet’s ﷺ holy sayings that, ‘Who knows himself will know his Lord.’

 مَنْ عَرَفَ نَفْسَهْ فَقَدْ عَرَفَ رَبَّهُ

“Man ‘arafa nafsahu faqad ‘arafa Rabbahu” 

“Who knows himself, knows his Lord.” Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

And that the way of knowing the self and the reality of our physiology, the reality of our being, is an understanding that is of a tremendous depth. It’s not something so simple. It’s not something so plain that we are Allah’s (AJ) chosen creation, “Wa laqad karamna Bani Adam.”

﴾وَلَقَدْ كَرَّ‌مْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ…﴿٧٠

17:70 – “Wa laqad karramna bani adama…” (Surat Al-Isra)

“And We have certainly honored the children of Adam…” (The Night Journey, 17:70)

Our Hands are Encoded With Secrets

And that this chosen creation, Allah (AJ) has encoded with many realities and many gifts. One understanding in the reality of the holy hands. That Allah (AJ) has encoded our hands with a secret; a secret of our reality, a secret of our being. It’s not just a piece of flesh and that the lines that are upon them are all codes from Allah (AJ). In our life, when we take the holy hadith of Prophet ﷺ and we take a way of tafakkur and contemplation to know myself. Before I can claim to know Allah (AJ), astaghfirullah, is to know myself that, ‘Ya Rabbi, what have You bestowed upon me of these realities of my being?’

Awliyaullah (saints) come into our life and they begin to teach that your hands are a receptacle. They are points of reality of all your inner being. Allah (AJ) has put those secrets upon the hand. It means every point of the hand has a connecting organ, has a connecting reality inside the body, similar to the feet.

Don’t Place Importance on Your Words

This understanding – how we got to this subject tonight is because there are people who place such an importance on their kalaam, on their words, on their mouth. Greatness of Allah (AJ), greatness of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ bringing the words of Allah (AJ), that they place an importance upon their mouth, their speech, their qira’at, their pronunciation.

Allah (AJ) describes in Holy Qur’an that, ‘We’re going to seal your mouth.’ Surat al-Yaseen, verse 65. Surat YaSeen, from the heart of Qur’an, which we keep teaching Suratul Yaseen is the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Prophet’s ﷺ heart, Manzil al Qur’an, in which the Holy Qur’an is emanating from that reality.

Allah (AJ) Will Seal Our Mouths on Judgment Day

What Allah (AJ) says from the heart of Holy Qur’an? ‘The day that We’re going to seal their mouth.’

﴾الْيَوْمَ نَخْتِمُ عَلَىٰ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَتُكَلِّمُنَا أَيْدِيهِمْ وَتَشْهَدُ أَرْ‌جُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ ﴿٦٥

36:65 – “Al yawma nakhtimu ‘ala afwahehim wa tukallimunaa aydeehim wa tashhadu arjuluhum bima kanoo yaksiboon.” (Surat YaSeen)

“That Day, We will seal over their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify about what they used to earn.” (YaSeen, 36:65)

Coming from heart of Holy Qur’an, Allah (AJ), reminder for myself, that ‘We are going to seal their mouth’. We said many times, Allah (AJ) is first to know that that mouth of yours is filled with lies. That mouth of yours said so many things. That mouth of yours testified to so many things. Allah (AJ) saying the first thing He is going to do is seal the mouth. As soon as you arrive at that destination, Yawmul Mashar (The Day of Gathering), Allah (AJ) seals the mouth.

So then immediately, awliyaullah (saints) come into our lives, say, ‘Don’t put so much importance on your kalaam (words). Allah (AJ) going to be sealing that mouth’. It means then what this mouth has to say, it’s importance is of no importance. What Allah (AJ) then is going to ask is that, ‘I’m going to speak to their hands. Their hands will begin to talk and their feet will testify to their rizq (sustenance) and what they earned.’

People Lost Social Skills, They Don’t Talk Anymore, They Type

SubhanAllah, how Allah (AJ) prepared us for the last days. Can you imagine this 500 years ago? They say, ‘Oh, ya Rabbi, what are you going to want from my hands? I’m just cutting log and cutting wood and not to the extreme of harming people.’ Allah (AJ) is giving us an isharat (sign) in these days that, subhanAllah, people are not even talking anymore. They’re already moving to Yawmul Mashar (The Day of Gathering) is coming, that people don’t know how to talk anymore.

You know, children have no verbal skills. They are like [Shaykh makes faces] because they lost their ability to talk and to communicate, especially computer people. They lose their ability to interact and talk casually, politely, nicely. They lost all their social skills because they are behind a computer. They’re typing all day long, typing, typing, typing. And they think whatever they type, it doesn’t matter. Allah (AJ) is giving us a sign, ‘No, in those last days, you’re going to understand what this is about.’ You’re going to understand that because as you approach the last days, you’re closer to your paradise reality.

So, as we are moving closer to the last days, more and more people don’t talk. They don’t socialize. They don’t even know how to communicate without insulting somebody else. And to the fact that they don’t even talk anymore and all their talking with their fingers. And they type and type and type every type of insanity, every type of craziness.

Our Hands Will Testify of What They Did

And Allah (AJ) says, ‘Your fingers are going to talk and to testify to Me. They’re going to testify to Me of what they’re doing.’

﴾وَتُكَلِّمُنَا أَيْدِيهِمْ وَتَشْهَدُ أَرْجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ ﴿٦٥…

36:65 – “…wa tukallimuna aydihim, wa tashhadu arjuluhum, bima kanu yaksibun.” (Surat YaSeen)

“…And their hands will speak to us, and their feet testify, to all that they did and earned.” (YaSeen, 36:65)

So, one – this is a sign for us how Allah (AJ) is guiding the nation of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and reminding us that your mouth is not of importance, ‘I’m going to ask your hands what they did. I’m going to ask what they typed, what they wrote’ because now the hand is the one that’s speaking in this dunya (material world). This typing and texting all day long and they think it’s not anything.

Your Identity is on Your Thumbprint

Even they text with their thumb, and subhanAllah, how in the realities of the hand, your identity in Divinely Presence is on your thumb. Allah (AJ) says, ‘We’ll bring you back to life all the way to the imprint of your thumb.’

﴾أَيَحْسَبُ الْإِنسَانُ أَلَّن نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُ ﴿٣﴾ بَلَىٰ قَادِرِينَ عَلَىٰ أَن نُّسَوِّيَ بَنَانَهُ ﴿٤

75:3-4 – “Ayahsabul insaanu al lan najm’a ‘izaamah (3) Balaa qaadireena ‘alaaa an nusawwiya banaanah. (4)” (Surat Al-Qiyamah)

“Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? (3) Yes. We have the power to restore (even) his very fingertips. (4)” (The Resurrection, 75:3-4)

It carries a reality of who you are. Your code, like a bar code in the grocery store, your bar code is on your thumb. Allah (AJ) is going to bring you back exactly to who you are; even to the point of your bar code will be exact, your thumbprint.

That ‘your feet are going to testify to where it earned.’ It means where your feet are going, Allah (AJ) is going to bring all of its realities of where it went.

﴾وَتُكَلِّمُنَا أَيْدِيهِمْ وَتَشْهَدُ أَرْجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ ﴿٦٥…

36:65 – “…wa tukallimuna aydihim, wa tashhadu arjuluhum, bima kanu yaksibun.” (Surat YaSeen)

“…And their hands will speak to us, and their feet testify, to all that they did and earned.” (YaSeen, 36:65)

Your Hands are the Ambassador of Your Reality

So, then they come and they begin to teach us the importance. That subhanAllah, if Allah (AJ) is going to be asking these hands, there must be something of a tremendous reality. And they begin to teach us that actually your hand is the ambassador of your being. Before I can get to meet you, I’m going to meet your hand. So, it extends itself to introduce you. So, then it has a tremendous reality, that it’s an ambassador of your reality.

The Hands Show the Condition of the Heart

They can tell the condition of your heart by the light emanating from your hand. So, it means the hand will show the condition of the heart. If the heart is dark and the heart filled with hypocrisy and the heart filled with bad characteristics, you find those hands not to be good hands. They hit, they beat, they do all sorts of aggressive actions. It’s a reflection of the condition of the heart. Because there is nobody with a good heart, doing horrible things with their hand because the hand is an ambassador. If the heart is good, the hands are very good. If this (heart) is bad, these (hands) are very bad.

Light Emanates From the Right Hand of the Believer

So, our life is to build the light and the reality of the heart so that it begins to reflect to the reality of the hand. Where Allah (AJ) describes that there be a people on the Day of Resurrection, that you’ll see the believing people and a light will be emanating from their right hand out.

﴾يَوْمَ تَرَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَسْعَىٰ نُورُهُم بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَبِأَيْمَانِهِم بُشْرَاكُمُ الْيَوْمَ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ ﴿١٢

57:12 – “Yawma taral mumineena wal muminati yas’a nooruhum bayna aydeehim wa bi aymanihim bushrakumu alyawma jannaatun tajri min tahti hal anharu khalideena fiha, dhalika huwa alfawzul ‘Azheem.” (Surat Al-Hadid)

“On the Day you (Muhammad (saws) see the believing men and believing women, their light proceeding/shining before them and on their right hands, [it will be said], “Good tidings for you today are [of] gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally.” That is what is the supreme and highest achievement. (The Iron, 57:12)

Blessed are the Hands That Carry the Mulk

And Allah (AJ) stresses the importance, “Wa tabarak al ladhi biyadihil mulk.”

﴾تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ﴿١

67:1 – “Tabarakal ladhee biyadihil mulku wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay in qadeer.” (Surat Al-Mulk)                 

“Blessed is He in Whose hands is Dominion/kingdom; and He has Power over all things.” (The Sovereignty, 67:1)

It means now, they begin to make us to contemplate that My tabarak (blessing) is upon their hand because it carries a mulk and a sovereignty from Allah (AJ). This means what I am bestowing upon that heart which is now reflecting to its ambassador, the hand, it has tremendous tabarak. Why? Because Allah (AJ) described that, “Qalb al-mu’min baytullah.”

قَلْبَ الْمُؤْمِنْ بَيْتُ الرَّبْ

“Qalb al mu’min baytur rabb.”

“The heart of the believer is the House of the Lord.” Hadith Qudsi

If that heart is clean and the character is clean and the conditions are reaching perfection, then light of Allah (AJ), the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ begins to occupy the heart. When it begins to occupy the heart, they’re teaching us our physiology of realities.

Awliya’s Hands are Blessed Because of the Divinely Kingdom in their Heart

If that heart is an enlightened heart, then Allah (AJ) is teaching, “Tabarak al ladhi biyadihil mulk.” (Holy Qur’an, 67:1) There is a tabarak (blessing) in their yad, in their hand, because of the mulk that being established within their heart. In the Naqshbandi awrad, we recite Surat al-Mulk at Salat uz Zuhr (afternoon prayer) and Surat al-Mulk at Salat ul ‘Isha (Nighttime Prayer). Why? For mulk wal malakut: for the physical domain and the spiritual domain. So, the two mulks, we call Prophet ﷺ the Sultan ath-Thaqalain, the Sultan of the Two Realities. Two hands – one for mulk and one for malakut.

When the Divinely Light Enters into the Heart, The Hands Become Nobel

This hand and its reality will be based on the condition upon the heart. When that heart begins to bring the mulk of Allah (AJ), the sovereign King of Allah (AJ), that, ‘I’m not on heaven and I’m not on earth. I’m on the heart of My believer.’

مَا وَسِعَنِيْ لَا سَمَائِيْ ولا اَرْضِيْ وَلَكِنْ وَسِعَنِيْ قَلْبِ عَبْدِيْ اَلْمُؤْمِنْ

“Maa wasi`anee laa Samayee, wa la ardee, laakin wasi’anee qalbi ‘Abdee al Mu’min.”

“Neither My Heavens nor My Earth can contain Me, but the heart of my Believing Servant.” (Hadith Qudsi conveyed by Prophet Muhammad (saw)

As that light is entering into the heart, Allah (AJ) says that the ambassador of yours, your hands, your yad is going to become noble. If it opens into the realities and Allah (AJ) grants that heart to be open, Ahlul Basirah, Allah (AJ) describes Ahlul Basirah in the Qur’an, that, ‘Whom their hearts are opened.’ [Q’n]

Allah’s (AJ) Power is Upon the Hands That Carry the Heavens

Then what Surah YaSeen describes in them, “Subhanal ladhi biyadihi Malakut.”

﴾فَسُبْحَانَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ ﴿٨٣

36:83 “Fasubhanal ladhee biyadihi Malakotu kulli shay in, wa ilayhi turja’oon.” (Surat Yaseen)

“Therefore Glory be to Him in Whose hand is the [heavenly] dominion/kingdom of all things, and to Him you will be returned..” (YaSeen, 36:83)

‘My Subhan, glory be to Me whom I bestowed upon the hand power.’ Not Allah (AJ)’s Hand, Allah (AJ) has no hands. This is an inheritance Allah (AJ) giving: the Hand of Allah (AJ) is His Might and Majesty. But the real reflection of the Hand of Allah (AJ) is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, is the reflection of Allah (AJ). All the might and majesty and Allah’s (AJ) Subhan upon the hand of Prophet ﷺ, upon the hand of all the prophets.

Take Bayah With Saints, Allah’s (AJ) Hand is Upon Their Hands

And that’s why you take bay’ah, “Innal ladheena yubayi’oonaka innama yubayi’on Allaha yadullahi fawqa aydeehim.“

﴾إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُبَايِعُونَكَ إِنَّمَا يُبَايِعُونَ اللَّـهَ يَدُ اللَّـهِ فَوْقَ أَيْدِيهِمْ ۚ ﴿١٠

48:10 – “Innal ladheena yubayi’oonaka innama yubayi’on Allaha yadullahi fawqa aydeehim, …” (Surat Al-Fath)

“Indeed, those who give Bayah (pledge allegiance) to you, [O Muhammad] – they are actually giving Bayah (pledge allegiance) to Allah. The hand of Allah is over their hands…” (The Victory, 48:10)

We say, ‘Ya rabbi, I want my hand in Your Hand.’ He says, ‘Then take the hand of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. All My Glory, all My Mulk, all My Power. Subhanal ladhi biyadihi malakot kulli shayin, wa ilayhi turja’on. All My Power, all My Might, all My Kingdoms are upon the power of that hand, and to it, you will be returning.’ (Holy Quran, 36:83)

This means then the majesty of opening the heart and the reality that reflecting into the hands. So, it means the hands of those whom their hearts are opened are not like normal hands. Allah (AJ) is describing that, ‘We bestow upon them an authority to have an authority in the mulk of this physical world, but you may not see it or sense it. And in My Divinely Kingdom of malakut (heavenly realm), they have a tremendous authority. And from them, lights are emanating. From their entire being, lights are emanating.’

Decoding the Right Hand – 18
Rasulur Rahma is the Key to Opening Al Fattah

And they begin to teach that that right hand brings a nur (light) and a rahmah (mercy). The codes upon the right hand is a 1 and a 8. The line is a 1 and a 8. For those who recite Dalailul Khayrat, they recite the 99 Names of Allah (AJ) and 201 names of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. And they understood and they know from their shaykhs that every Ismullah (name of Allah (AJ)) has to have an Ismur Rasul to open.

So, 18th name, Al-Fattah (The Opener), Allah (AJ) is going to open. 18th name of Prophet is Rasulur Rahmah (The Messenger of Mercy). So, for Al–Fattah to open, you have to ask the permission of Rasulur Rahmah, ‘Ya Sayyidi, ya RasulAllah ﷺ.’ Everything is La ilaha illallah Muhammadun RasulAllah ﷺ. (There is no deity but Allah, Prophet Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.) Allah (AJ) don’t want to hear from me and you without going through Prophet ﷺ.

That rahmah to open, that mercy to open, it means everything is coded upon hands. It’s not something simple. It’s not something small. When that reality wants to open, it means they begin to teach and train us that as you are perfecting your heart and cleaning your heart, these lights will begin to emanate upon your hand. That’s why those whom have permission for healing, their hands are ignited. And in this day and age, they don’t touch because they don’t want to become sick. But the light and Fattah ur-Rahmah (The Opener of Mercy), these are the lights of mercy, emanate from their right hand. And wherever their hand moves, that light is emanating.

Decoding the Left Hand – 81
Take Control of your Left Hand (Mulk) with Your Right Hand (Malakut)

And sifat Al-Muntaqim (attribute of the Avenger) because the left hand has 81. 81 means sifat Al-Muntaqim, Allah’s (AJ) avenging. So, the mulk has avenging because the mulk is the abode of fire. The malakut is the Fattah ur Rahmah (The Opener of Mercy). That’s why in your salah (prayer), Allah (AJ) wants your right hand to hold your left hand.

[صَحِيحْ النِّسَائِي (٨٨٧)] عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَ قَائِمًا فِي الصَّلاةِ قَبَضَ بِيَمِيْنِهِ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ .

‘An Waayili ibn Hujr (ra) qala: Ra aytu Rasulallahi ﷺ iza kana qaayiman fis Salati qabadha beyaminihi ‘ala shemalihi. [Sahih An Nisaayi 887]

Wayil the son of Hujr( ra) said: ” I saw the Prophet ﷺ‏ performing daily prayer, and he ﷺ‏ took hold of his left hand with his right.” [Authentic by An Nisaayi 887]

That take control of your malakut (heavenly realm). That your malakut has to govern your mulk (earthly realm) and your physicality. The attributes that govern your soul and your reality has to take control of that which governs your physicality. So, it means these sifats (attributes) are dressing and controlling our being.

Imam Mahdi (as) and the Reality of Chapter 57 – The Iron (57:12)

When they are understood and they open their heart, it means they bring a light, a light emanates from their hand. This is from Allah (AJ), in Surat al-Hadid, surah 57, verse 12

﴾يَوْمَ تَرَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَسْعَىٰ نُورُهُم بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَبِأَيْمَانِهِم … ﴿١٢﴾

57:12 – “Yawma taral mumineena wal muminati yas’a nooruhum bayna aydeehim wa bi aymanihim …” (Surat Al-Hadid)

“On the Day you (Muhammad (pbuh) see the believing men and believing women, their light proceeding/shining before them and on their right hands, …” (The Iron, 57:12)

57 – 57th name of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is Al-Mahdi ﷺ. So, hadid (iron) has to do with guidance. When they say, ‘Oh, there’s no mention of Sayyidina Mahdi (as).’ Oh, there’s many mentions of Sayyidina Mahdi (as) but you may not know them. Hadid, an iron, has to do with guidance. The Christians know in their Bible that someone’s coming on a horse, the white rider, and in his hand is iron. And say, ‘Oh, that’s Sayyidina Isa (as) coming.’ No, no, that’s Sayyidina Mahdi (as) coming! He’s known of iron, hadid.

Iron is Sent From Heaven and Acts as a Natural GPS System in Creation

Hadid (iron), Allah (AJ) is saying not from your dunya (material world) but hadid comes tanzeela. It comes from the heavens onto this earth

﴾وَأَنزَلْنَا الْحَدِيدَ فِيهِ بَأْسٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ اللَّـهُ مَن يَنصُرُهُ وَرُسُلَهُ بِالْغَيْبِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّـهَ قَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ ﴿٢٥…

57:25 – “…Wa anzalnal hadeeda feehi baasun shadeedun wa manaafi’u linnaasi wa liya’lam Allahu man yansuruhu wa Rusulahu bilghaib; innAllaha Qawiyun ‘Aziz.” (Surat Al-Hadid)

“…And We sent down iron, in which is (material for) great military might as well as many benefits for mankind, and so that Allah may test/make evident who will support him and His messengers from the unseen world. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.” (The Iron, 57:25)

Guidance is given to you by the iron within your body. Every creation and creature has guidance from iron. Their iron picks up the energy. With the iron is our natural GPS system. So, the birds, how they fly? How they know where the earth is and where the ocean is, where their destination is? The iron within their body is what Allah (AJ) sends a qudra (power) and nazma (energy field) to it. The energy that is coming to that, it gives its coordinance and its guidance. If your iron is imperfected and the iron within your body is not clean, your entire guidance system goes off. And the iron is what makes the blood to be red. We said that in other talks. It’s tremendous reality upon insan (mankind).

The Earth’s Core is Made of Iron Causing a Magnetic Field

The iron within the earth is what makes the earth to have a magnetic field. There is a molten iron in the core of the Earth that continuously moving and heated up. Based on that iron, there’s an energy field around this earth. What from ourselves? We are a reflection from that Earth. The iron within your body, this is why hadid has to do with guidance, and Allah (AJ) showing that that guidance and that light will be emanating from your being.

Reality of the Sun (Prophets) and Perfected Moons (Siddiqin, Shuhada, Saliheen)

Then they begin to teach that this hand of yours is all encoded. So, this Fattah ur-Rahmah (The opener of Mercy) that you’re trying to open that reality and open from these lights. In your tafakkur (contemplation), then you begin to understand. Why Allah (AJ) has these five fingers with three lines on each finger? So that’s 15! Because the hand and the symbol of perfection is qamar (moon). The shams (sun) is for the Nabiyeen (prophets). Qamar is for Siddiqin, Shuhadayi, was-Salihin. Because they cannot be a sun. The sun is for the nabiyeen whom Allah (AJ) gave them risalah (prophecy); the most majestic sun, the sun of all realities is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.

﴾وَمَن يُطِعِ اللّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاء وَالصَّالِحِينَ وَحَسُنَ أُولَـئِكَ رَفِيقًا ﴿٦٩

4:69 – “Wa man yuti’ Allaha war Rasola faolayeka ma’al ladheena an’ama Allahu ‘alayhim minan Nabiyeena, was Siddiqeena, wash Shuhadai, was Saliheena wa hasuna olayeka rafeeqan.” (Surat An-Nisa)

“And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger (pbuh) are in the company of those on whom Allah has bestowed His Favours/Blessings – of the prophets, the sincere Truthful, the witnesses to the truth (who testify), and the Righteous, and excellent are those as companions.” (The Women, 4:69)

The Phases of the Moon and the 15 Lines on Our Fingers

So, it means that you cannot be a sun, but Allah (AJ) made us to be qamarun (moons). You can be a moon if you reach the reality of your heart.

You have 15 lines on this hand: five fingers, three lines. Right hand is nur (light). This means then the first 15 days of the month, they are nurani (luminous). These are the 15 days in which the moon is being dressed as it’s approaching towards its reality. What they call the birth, the moon is born and beginning to move towards the reality of the sun. This means 15 days of nur and light is reaching towards its perfection and that’s why the full moon is the sign of perfection.

So, it means that the real hand and the majestic hand in which Allah (AJ) describing, ‘Tabarak, blessed are their hands’ because these are the qamars of My Divinely Presence’.

﴾بَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ﴿١

67:1 – “Tabarakal ladhee biyadihil mulku wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay in qadeer.” (Surat Al-Mulk)                 

“Blessed is He in Whose hands is Dominion/kingdom; and He has Power over all things.” (The Sovereignty, 67:1)

Their whole being is they follow their shams (sun). They don’t move left and they don’t move right. That shams and that sun dresses their reality and give them 15 days of light. So, every time they are making zikr (Divine remembrance), they are asking, ‘Ya Rabbi, bless these realities. Make every day of these 15 days to be filled with nur (light).’ [Shaykh touches the lines on his fingers of his Right hand]

Then (the left hand) another five fingers have another three lines on them and this is 15 days of the waning moon. This means after the moon reaches its perfection, it’s now in the phase of death. Everything is born and everything dies. Everything. We have a day and we have a night. Everything has a cycle of its birth and its death; from the planets to our being on this earth to all the flowers and everything that we see around us.

﴾كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ ﴿٢٦

55:26 – “Kullu man ‘alayha fani.” (Surah Ar-Rahman)

“All that is on earth will perish.” (The Beneficent, 55:26)

Know Yourself, You Are Honored Creation

The way, and the reality of the hadith, ‘Who knows himself will know his Lord,’ is not something small. It’s an ocean that can continue to keep opening.

مَنْ عَرَفَ نَفْسَهْ فَقَدْ عَرَفَ رَبَّهُ

“Man ‘arafa nafsahu faqad ‘arafa Rabbahu”

“Who knows himself, knows his Lord.” Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

When Allah (AJ) want you to know His Heavenly Kingdom, they begin to teach you about yourself. ‘Ya Rabbi, what have You dressed me with?’ ‘Wa laqad karamna Bani Adam. We have certainly honored the children of Adam.’ ‘We have honoured this creation of Adam, that he carries a majestic light from Our Divinely Presence; We stamped him with names.’

﴾وَلَقَدْ كَرَّ‌مْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ…﴿٧٠

17:70 – “Wa laqad karramna bani adama…” (Surat Al-Isra)

“And We have certainly honored the children of Adam…” (The Night Journey, 17:70)

There are Eight Holding the Throne of the One Sultan – 18

We said before that the 1 and the 8, when Allah (AJ) describes 8 will hold the throne and 1 will be the sultan on the Day Of Judgement.

﴾وَالْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰ أَرْجَائِهَا ۚ وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَانِيَةٌ ﴿١٧

69:17 – “Wal Malaku ‘ala arjayeha, wa yahmilu ‘Arsha Rabbika fawqahum yawmaidhin thamaniyatun.” (Surat Haqqah)

“And the angels/ will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them.” (The Reality, 69:17)

What? Is Allah (AJ) going to be sitting on a chair for eight people to hold Him? Is there a chair that can hold Allah (AJ)? No, because the one who is holding the chair maybe then is as powerful – it’s impossible! There is a sultan, Sultan an-Naseera (Victorious king), who will be sitting upon that chair.

Our life is to be from those who serve the sultan. That’s why we described in the Jum’ah (Friday prayer), Ta’zim un Nabi ﷺ (honouring the Prophet ﷺ). Our life is to glorify Allah (AJ) and his beloved Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Be from the eight that hold the one!

تَعْظِيْمًا لِنَّبِيْهِ وَتَكْرِيْمًا لِفَخَامَةِ شَأنِ صَفِيِّهِ. فَقَالَ اللهُ عَزَّوَجَلَّ مِنْ قَائِلٍ مُخْبِرًا وَآمِرَاً: “إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا. “

Ta’zeeman lin Nabihi, wa takreeman li fakhamati shani safihee. Faqala Allah ‘azza wa jal, min qayilen mukhbiran wa amira: “InnAllaha wa malayikatahu yusallona ‘alan Nabi, yaa ayyuhal ladhina Amano sallo ‘alayhi wa sallimo taslima.”

To Raise the honor and greatness of His prophet, and to praise the honorable existence and the magnificent status of His intimate friend; Allah Almighty, the Sublime, informed and ordered us that; “Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet (Muhammad (pbuh)): O you who believe! Ask Allah (AJ) to Send blessings upon him, and you salute him with all respect” (Surah al Ahzaab 33:56).

Awliya are the Walking Moons on Earth

Then they begin to teach: then that heart will begin to open. Every time you’re making wudu (ablution), what kind of codes are you opening upon this reality? You’re opening Fattah ur-Rahmah. You’re opening all the realities of light upon the right hand. You are opening all the realities of these 15 days of light to reach the perfection of the full moon.

So, it means on the 15th day, those lights are strongest upon their hand because they are the reflection of what you see in the heavens. They are walking moons upon the Earth. The moon represents the people of annihilation. It has nothing if they’ve been annihilated. As a result, they reflect all those realities.

Eat With Your Right Hand, Full of Light and Mercy

Then they begin to teach, the left hand is from ‘Izzatullah, sifat al-Muntaqim because that left hand is a fire. If that left hand is not controlled, it becomes like the fire of jahannam (hellfire) upon people. And that fire is why Allah (AJ) wants you to clean yourself with your left hand, not your light.

Your right hand is of a light and rahmah (mercy). Your right hand is light and rahmah. Allah (AJ) wants you to eat and put rahmah and light upon your food, and put that food into your mouth. Everything has a reason; not always this is right or left or this is just by mistake. It’s an immense reality that put your light and rahmah upon your food and that rahmah to go into your mouth.

[قَالَ رَسُولَ اللَّه صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِذَا أَكُلَّ أحَدِكُمْ فَلَيَأْكَلُ بِيَمِيْنِهِ ، وَإِذَا شُرْبٍ فَلَيُشْرِبُ بِيَمِيْنِهِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكَلُ بِشَمَالِهِ وَيُشْرِبُ بِشَمَالِهِ [رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ

Qala Rasullallah (saws), “Iza akulla ahadikum falayakalu beyaminihi, wa iza shurbin falayushribu biyaminihi. Fa innash shaitana yakalu beshamalihi wa yushribu beshamalihi.” [Rawahu Muslimun] 

The Prophet (pbuh) said, “Eat with your right hand and drink with your right hand, as Satan eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand.” [Narrated by Imam Muslim]

Turn the Fiery Nature of the Left Hand to a Fire of Healing

And later, they teach the people who know and they use that energy on a daily basis, what emanating from their left hand is a fire, “Qulna ya Naaru, kuni Bardan wa Salaman ‘ala Ibrahim.” [pic 8 – reverse the image?

﴾قُلْنَا يَا نَارُ كُونِي بَرْدًا وَسَلَامًا عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ﴿٦٩

21:69 – “Qulna ya Naaru, kuni Bardan wa Salaman ‘ala Ibrahim.” (Surat Al-Anbiya)

“We said, O fire, be cool and Peaceful upon Abraham.” (The Prophets, 21:69)

If they don’t know how to control, you see that their left hand, an aggression and their fiery reality will overtake them. That’s why Allah (AJ) then say, ‘You control your fiery nature.’ If you control that fire, you can make it to be a fire of healing because you have to burn away bad to bring the light of something good. So, that that which is najes and dirty for you, Allah (AJ) says, ‘Use your left hand.’ The fire of that hand will take away its badness and its germs.

[‎سُنَنْ أبِي دَاوُدْ ٣٣] ‎عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ :” كَانَتْ يَدُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ اَلْيُمْنَى لِطُهُورِهِ وَطَعَامِهِ وَكَانَتْ يَدُهُ الْيُسْرَى لِخَلَائِهِ وَمَا كَانَ مِنْ أَذًى”

‘An ‘Ayisha (ra) qalat: “Kaanat yadu Rasulillahi alyumna le tuhoorihi wa ta’amihi, wa kaanat yaduhu alyusra le khalaayihi wa ma kaana min aza.” [Sunan Abi Dawood 33]

‘Ayisha (ra) reported: “The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ used his right hand for eating and used his left hand for cleaning himself and whatever was harmful”. [Sunan Abi Dawood 33]

Everything has a tremendous reality upon our being. It’s not something random. And they are teaching us how to open all of these realities. These are the people of tafakkur and contemplation, the people of realities.

Allah’s (AJ) Power is upon Awliya’s Hands

This means that they open their heart. As they begin to open their heart, Allah (AJ) begins to dress them. That from the holy hadith that they did their fard (obligatory worship). They are approaching through their sunnah, ‘I become the eyes in which they see. I become the ears in which they hear.’ Each of them has a reality. ‘I become the breath in which they breathe, I become the mouth in which they speak, I become the hands in which they touch,’ means, ‘My Yad, My Power upon their hands.’

عَنْ أَبِيِ هُرَيْرَةِ رَضِّيَّ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ‏،‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ‏:‏‏‏ إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَىٰ قَالَ‏:‏” …‏وَمَا تَقَرُّبِ إِلَيَّ عَبْدِيِ بِشَيْءٍ أَحُبَّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا اِفْتَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِ. وَلَا يَزَالُ عَبْدِي يَتَقَرَّبُ إلَيَّ بِالنَّوَافِلِ حَتَّى أُحِبَّهُ، فَإِذَا أَحْبَبْتُهُ كُنْتَ سَمْعَهُ الَّذِي يَسْمَعُ بِهِ، وَبَصَرَهُ الَّذِي يُبْصِرُ بِهِ، وَيَدَهُ الَّتِي يَبْطِشُ بِهَا، … “[اَلمَصْدَرْ: صَحِيحْ الْبُخَارِيُّ – رقم:٦٥٠٢]

‘An Abi Hurairah (ra) qala, Qala Rasulullahi ﷺ : InnAllaha ta’ala qala: “ Wa maa taqarrubi ilayya ‘abdi be shayin ahubba ilayya memma iftaradhtu ‘alayhi. Wa la yazaalu ‘abdi yataqarrabu ilayya binnawafile hatta uhebbahu, fa iza ahbabtuhu kunta Sam’ahul lazi yasma’u behi, wa Basarahul lazi yubsiru behi, wa Yadahul lati yabteshu beha,.…” [Hadith Qudsi, Sahih al Bukhari, Raqam: 6502]

Narrated by Abu Hurairah (ra) that: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that: Allah the Almighty said: “… My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have obligated upon him. My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary acts of worship so that I shall love him. When I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes,…” [Holy Hadith, Sahih by al-Bukhari, 6502]

How that going to come? It’s by the heart to be open, the lights of the heart to be open, all the bad characteristics to be brought down so that these realities can begin to emanate from the holy hands.

We pray that Allah (AJ) dress us and bless us from these holy nights and begin to open from these realities more and more upon our hearts.
