Numeric Codes Are Angelic Realities
That ya Rabbi, grant us from your endless oceans of rahmah and mercy. We’re not claiming to be anything but asking to be dressed by your rahmah. Alhamdulillah for the holy month of Rajab, that Allah (AJ) is dressing from lights and realities. And the ship of the arifeen (knowers), the ship of safety, traversing into the seventh lunar month. From Izzatullah (Allah’s (AJ) Might and Magnificence) and the secret of 9, dressing it with the reality of sixty-three, that 9 x 7 brings out the secret of 63. Anybody who likes math, these are important realities of numbers and codes. The importance of the numeric code is an angelic reality.
Of the 124,000 Awliyaullah On Earth, 7007 Are Naqshbandiya
Alhamdulillah, from the teaching of awliyaullah (saints) and the reality of light and guidance, it means it’s a reminder for myself. That at anytime on this Earth, there are 124,000 awliyaullah. And out of those 124,000, there are 7007 Naqshbandiya Awliya under the secret of Mawlana Shah Naqshband (q), Fard al`Alam, Shahe Kul that dressing the reality of those awliyaullah (saints), from the reality of 7007.
How 7007 Connects to the Name ‘Allah’ (AJ)
That 7007, that when you write alif lam lam hey, then you put the 7007. That Mawlana Shah Naqshband (q) is dressing them from that secret, blessing them from that secret and giving them from secrets of hidayat (guidance). From the Alif of Allah (AJ) dressing the secret of that 7. And from the two lams, they are like a nuqt (dot) because we don’t have zeros but [in Arabic it is] like a nuqt (dot). Then from the hey of hidayat dressing them from that 7.
It means that the 7 holy openings of their face are dressed by the 7 Divinely Essences. The two nuqts (dots) means that they annihilated themselves from the lam of dunya (material world), the mulk of dunya. That they asked nothing from the dunya and took themselves to a state of mawt qablal mawt (to die before death).
This means they came through the hey, which is hidayat and guidance. So that hidayat, awliyaullah took them to the first lam (first from the left) and this is the mulk of dunya, because you have to come from Earth to reach towards the Alif of Allah (AJ) and taught them how to divorce themselves of material desires within their heart and to give everything in the way of Allah (AJ) and live a life of service to Allah (AJ). By accomplishing that reality, Allah (AJ) dresses them from the lam of akhirah (the second lam from left), the mulk (kingdom) of the heavens.
Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is Malik al Hayat and Malik al Dunya
The one whom Allah (AJ) gave all of that mulk (kingdom), to Malik al Hayat wa Malik al Dunya is meem, ha, meem, daal – Muhammad ﷺ!
Awliyaullah (saints) in their teaching took those souls into the presence of Prophet ﷺ and taught them that everything you do for Allah (AJ) is not for a Paradise reality. So, it means even Paradise was like a dunya (material world) for them, that don’t do anything for that Paradise reality. Don’t ask for any station and maqam (station) but do what you do for Wajhikal Kareem (Holy Face?), for that Holy Face of Allah (AJ), the holy face of Prophet ﷺ.
(Surat Al-Insaan)
“(Saying), We feed you for the sake of the Holy/divine Face alone: We wish not from you reward or gratitude.” (The Human, 76:9)
It is called the face of Allah (AJ), but Allah (AJ) has no face. It is an expression of realities that Allah (AJ) dressed the soul from Divinely Essences, the essences that are the reality of the attributes. That reality to dress upon their reality and Allah (AJ) is granting them from the alif which is Izzatullah (Allah’s (AJ) Might and Magnificence). It means our life is to be dressed by these realities, blessed by these realities, that to reach towards Izzatullah to come to the hey of hidayat (guidance).
Naqshbandi Awliya Are Dressed With Allah’s (AJ) Hidayat
These Naqshbandi Awliya (saints) are dressed from that reality, 7007 of them. From those, there are also 313 awliyaullah and that is a different subject. From these 7007 of Naqshbandiya Awliya, they are dressed with this hidayat (guidance) of Allah (AJ), dressed from Izzatullah, izzatur Rasul, wa izzat ul mu’mineen.
﴾وَلِلَّهِ الْعِزَّةُ وَلِرَسُولِهِ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ… ﴿٨
63:8 – “…Wa Lillahil ‘izzatu wa li Rasooli hi wa lil Mumineen…” (Surat Al-Munafiqoon)
“…And to Allah belongs [all] honor, and to His messenger, and to the believers…” (The Hypocrites, 63:8)
Awliyaullah Guide Through The 7 Holy Openings of the Face
From that alif, it moves through those two nuqts. It means they wanted nothing from the heavens, they wanted nothing from dunya (material world) and the hey of hidayat (guidance). Allah (AJ) dresses their hidayat, that they have guidance through the 7 holy openings of their face. They hear with what Allah (AJ) wants them to hear. They see with what Allah (AJ) wants them to see. They breathe through the two openings of their breath from nafas ar rahmah (breath of mercy). And Allah (AJ) opens upon their tongue and they inherit from lisanul haq (tongue of truth). Lisanul Haq is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and lisan as-Siddiq al Aliyya, that the truthful tongue most high in Divinely Presence, and whom Allah (AJ) grants wisdom has granted him a tremendous bounty.
Nabi Musa (as) Sought Divine Knowledges From Sayyidina Khidr (as)
It means that the pursuit of knowledge is supreme. That Nabi Musa (as), Karimullah, speaks to Allah (AJ) and all he wanted was knowledge. It means the life that pursues knowledge and Divinely Knowledges, not earthly knowledges, not accounting, not dunya knowledges. These knowledges of dunya (material world), we use them for our sustenance. But the Divine Knowledges of akhirah (afterlife), they dress the soul and its realities.
Nabi Musa’s (as) pursuit was, ‘Ya Rabbi, let me reach toward that reality. Let me learn from one of Your servants whom You taught from Your Divinely Presence, whom attained a rahmah, who achieved a mercy.’ And then (Allah (AJ) says), ‘We taught them ilm laduni.’
18:65 – “Fawajada ‘abdan min ‘ibadinaa ataynahu rahmatan min ‘indina wa ‘allamnahu mil ladunna ‘ilma.” (Surat Al-Kahf)
“So they found one of Our servant from among Our servants, on whom We had bestowed Mercy from Ourselves and whom We had taught [unseen/heavenly] knowledge from Our own Presence…” (The Cave, 18:65)
7007 Naqshbandi Shaykhs Inherit From Sayyidina Khidr (as)
When Nabi Musa (as) came across one of those servants. This means at every time there must be 124,000; specifically there must be 7007 Naqshbandiya Awliya (saints) on this Earth at all times. Sayyidina Khidr (as) is in the silsila of Naqshbandiya, to show that they are inheriting from that secret of Holy Qur’an from Sayyidina Khidr (as). Whatever Sayyidina Khidr (as) was taught of these realities is given as an inheritance to the awliya (saints) in front of them. And whatever new realities are coming from Prophet ﷺ first come to the living awliya (saints) on Earth.
And what Nabi Musa (as) wanted is, ‘Teach me from a higher reality, make me to rusht. Make me to be fulfilled and to reach the reality of my soul that I know it has to reach.’ This means they live a life of seeking out these realities, seeking out these Divinely Knowledges, and they give with that guidance.
Allah (AJ) Opens the Senses Through Hidayat and Voluntary Worship
It means the hidayat (guidance) in which Allah (AJ) opens, it means they hear – that is the holy hadith, ‘That approach Me with voluntary worship, I become the hearing of My servant. I become the seeing of My servant. I become the breath that servant breathes. I become the tongue with which that servant speaks. I become the hand with which that servant touches. I become the feet with which that servant moves.’
“…, wa la yazaalu ‘Abdi yataqarrabu ilayya bin nawafile hatta ahebahu, fa idha ahbabtuhu kunta Sam’ahul ladhi yasma’u behi, wa Basarahul ladhi yubsiru behi, wa Yadahul lati yabTeshu beha, wa Rejlahul lati yamshi beha, wa la in sa alani la a’Teyannahu, …”
“…My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary acts of worship so that I shall love him. When I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him…” Hadith Qudsi (Sahih al-Bukhari, 81:38:2)
So much so they become rabbaniyun (lordly souls). What they want is kun faya kun. Whatever comes into their heart of their need, Allah (AJ) makes it to begin to manifest within dunya (material world).
Rajab is a Reminder of the 7 Holy Openings
It means this is from the reality of awliyaullah (saints), that the holiness of Rajab is something that cannot be imagined. When awliyaullah are waiting the whole year for Rajab, waiting for that tajalli (manifestation) and that hijab (veil) to open that Allah (AJ) begins to dress and to bless. And what miracles and lights Allah (AJ) will dress His Creation and what gifts He gives on the bounty of that holy month, that begins to prepare them and dress them. That is a reminder of these 7 holy openings.
Then to safeguard ourselves because those 7007, the 7 and 7 is on every human being. That they come into the tarbiya (discipline) of the Naqshbandiya way, which is the inheritance of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and the prophetic example.
7 Levels of the Heart Open By Discipline of the 7 Holy Openings of the Head
What awliyaullah (saints) want from us is that these 7 holy openings of the face, that they are taking from the alif. That at the same time as they open the 7 lataif (subtle energy points) of the face, at the same time they are working on the 7 lataif of the heart. It means you have from the Qalb, Sir, Sirr Sir, the Khafa, Akhfa, Fana wa Baqa. From the ocean of fana (annihilation), they begin to annihilate that servant and from annihilation they resurrect them in Divinely Presence. It means they learned how to be ‘off’ in Allah’s (AJ) Divinely Presence and Allah (AJ) ignites them to be ‘on’ in the Divinely Presence.
Safeguard Your Hearing – Samina wa Atana
Those 7 openings of the qalb (heart) can only come by the discipline of the 7 openings upon the holy head. So, then safeguarding the ears because these teachings are lifelong and perpetual. Ramadan, for people who are trying to follow a pious path, is not once a year fasting, but living every day in a state of siyam (fasting). It means that to safeguard the hearing that these ears don’t hear bad. As much as these ears hear bad, hear gossip, hear bad words and bad sounds, it brings an energy to the heart that collapses the heart. That is why our way is based on sami’na wa ata’na.
(Surat Al-Baqarah)
“…We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys.” (The Cow, 2:285)
Hearing and Obeying Directly Influences the Opening of the Heart
That the sahabi (companions) heard from Prophet ﷺ and they obeyed. It means there was a direct correlation between the hearing and the opening of the heart. They’re linked. They begin to discipline and train us, that when you take a path of the turuqs (spiritual paths), try your best to listen. To block out the waswas (whisperings) of your brain, the suggestions of your brain and open the reality of, ‘You heard and you obeyed’ which will directly open the qalb and influence the openings of the heart. The hearing is going to be directly connected to the heart. So, then they begin to train itibah (follow). That is why the training of the tariqs are such.
People come and say, ‘There are so many rules here. This guy doesn’t let you do anything.’ Because it’s all based on the training of the ears. This is not the jungle. This is not the association of the barnyard. This is how to reach heavens and paradises where everything is under tasleem and submission. It means to hear and to obey. That hearing and obedience opens the qalb (heart) and begins to open the levels of the heart.
Control your Eyes – Nazar Bar Qadam
Then they begin to train again all year round nazar bar qadam – keep your eyes upon your feet. It means control your eyes. Control what your eyes are looking at. Control what your eyes are hungry for because this hunger will never stop unless you take a path in which your eyes are constantly looking down; so much so that they are always shut, that you take a way of tafakkur and contemplation. If we don’t take a way of tafakkur and contemplation, it means that we don’t spend the time in which we shut the eyes and begin to ask for spiritual vision. That, ‘My Lord, these eyes are hungry.’ As much as they see, they want. As much as they, see they want. If they begin to overtake me in wanting, again, my heart will close.
There is a direct correlation between how to control the eyes and the opening of the heart. This means if we don’t take a way in which we are constantly looking down, not being interested in anything, trying to keep to ourselves and keep our way to ourselves, busy with myself, not with others.
And then at night, take the way of contemplation where I close my eyes and feel comfortable with myself. Many people, their actions are not correct and they do not like to close their eyes. Many even have night dreams and horrors at night. It means all of that can be resolved with tafakkur and contemplation. By making contemplation, we can feel and see and sense our difficulties and our shortcomings. So, then all their schools are based on teaching people how to make tafakkur, again directly opening the lataif (subtle energy points) of the heart.
This Way is Built On the Sanctity of the Breath
Then they begin to train on the senses of your breath, that your way is built on the sanctity of your breath. That is why they can quickly see when people say, ‘This person is pious.’ But they are smoking! The way is based on the breath. Impossible. That smoke is killing their heart, killing their lungs. That is just an external example, because the whole reality is based on the breath. You are taking a Divine Gift, 24,000 gifts within everyday. Allah (AJ) gives a force of life in which you inhale that breath and rejuvenate your entire being. If Allah (AJ) doesn’t give that breath, there is no life.
So with that life, how can you destroy it or contaminate it or put horrible substances in that breath? So, it means they begin to teach in tarbiya, ‘Watch your breath. Contemplate your breath. Be thankful of every breath coming in.’ That is why ahlul zikr (people of remembrance), they’re constantly in a zikrullah. With the understanding that, ‘Ya Rabbi, this breath, this energy, should be in the praising of Your Divinely Presence and of the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and all the prophets of the Divine.
Safeguarding Your Mouth and Tongue Opens the Greatness of Ramadan
Then they begin to teach with that then safeguard your hands, safeguard your feet, safeguard these realities. So you safeguarded your hearing, your eyes and your breath. With all of that, the greatness of Ramadan opens – that now safeguard your tongue and your mouth. What comes into this mouth is going to affect the entire being. If you put out Allah’s (AJ) Sustenance and you pray upon what Allah (AJ) has given to you to eat and drink and you eat that which is clean and pure, it is an energy for this physicality to reach its spiritual goals.
When that is being purified, that being cleansed, then Allah (AJ) opens from these two openings of your seeing, (Shaykh points towards eyes), from the two openings of your breath (Shaykh points to the nostrils), then it begins to produce the opening of the holy tongue in which your ears are submitting because this is the inheritance of the prophets.
Sayyidina YaSeen ﷺ Has the Perfection of Hearing
What set the prophets (apart) from normal human beings is their entire faculty of their head represented Allah (AJ). They heard for the Divine means samina wa atana (we heard and we obey) (Qur’an, 2:285). They saw not from the material world, they saw from the spiritual world. And whom hears the best speaks for Allah (AJ) first. The best of hearers in Divinely Presence is YaSeen ﷺ. This means he has yaqeen as-sami, he has the ‘perfection of hearing’ (alayhis salaat salaam), of hearing the Divinely Presence. As a result of hearing Allah (AJ), he speaks for Allah (AJ).
The Greater Portion of Our Soul is Always in Divinely Presence
This means the inheritance of that holy face is what they are asking to dress us with. When Rajab is opening, ‘Ya Rabbi, grant us from these holy ears that we have yaqeen as-sami, perfection of hearing – not the hearing of waswas (whisperings) and backbiting of dunya (material world), but hearing of my inner reality, hearing with perfection that what does my conscious want? Because we have our soul always in Divinely Presence. Allah (AJ) gave us only a small piece of that soul for our body. The greater portion of our soul is always in Divinely Presence under the nazar (gaze) of Allah (AJ) means constantly getting its isharats (signs), constantly getting its guidance.
Our Nafs Blocks Our Own Reality
Our own reality wants to communicate with us like a satellite. The satellite wants to communicate with the box on Earth and to begin to send a transmission but the nafs (ego) is blocking and blocking. So it means all these tarbiya, all these practices, is to destroy the blocking that cloud so we can begin to receive the transmission. That is why the Prophet said, ‘Who knows himself will know his Lord.’
مَنْ عَرَفَ نَفْسَهْ فَقَدْ عَرَفَ رَبَّهُ
“Man ‘arafa nafsahu faqad ‘arafa Rabbahu”
“Who knows himself, knows his Lord.” Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
Because the self and the battle with the self will be able to connect with the self that is always in the Divinely Presence. When something is precious, Allah (AJ) doesn’t give it to you to destroy. You have the best gift and you will not give it to a two year-old kid and say, ‘Go out and destroy it if you like.’ You give them only a sample, a flavour and a taste of it, but the greater reality is always kept in Allah’s (AJ) Divinely Presence. It means with opening and disciplining these 7 lataifs (subtle energy points) of the face, it begins the opening of the heart and the realities of the heart.
Everything From the Secret of Hu is in Existence
We pray that in this holy month, Allah (AJ) dress us and bless us from these lights and to take away bad characteristics so that these ears can hear. That is why the imtihans and tests of hearing, that these eyes will be closed from the material world and open towards the spiritual realm and the spiritual reality of the soul so they begin to see what Allah (AJ) wants them to see from their soul. And breathe from Qudratullah, from the Power of Allah (AJ) that is all around.
Everything from the secret of Hu is in existence. It means every atom is in manifestation and in a praise of Allah (AJ) and its essence is from zikr Hu. When you breathe with that reality, they are able to take from the qudra (power) of everything around and they bring in that qudra within their breath. They breathe with that energy, with that light, and they exhale all the difficulties and all the contaminations. We pray that Allah (AJ) opens from those realities and bless us from those realities and open our hearts towards the realities.
Subhaana rabbika rabbil `izzati amma yasifoon wa salaamun `alal mursaleen wal hamdulillahi rabbil `aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa wa bi sirri surat al-Fatiha.
