Heart of Qur’an – YaSeen, the Divinely Heart is the Source of All Power
From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi
A’udhu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the rejected one
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Allah (AJ) describes in Holy Qur’an that, “Tabarakal ladhi bi yadihil mulk”
67:1 – “Tabarakal ladhee bi yadihi mulku wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay in qadeer.” (Surat Al-Mulk)
“Blessed is He in Whose hands is Dominion/kingdom; and He has Power over all things.” (The Sovereignty, 67:1)
and “Subhanal ladhi bi Yadihi malakut kulli Shay…”
36:83 – “Fasubhanal ladhee biyadihi Malakotu kulli shay in wa ilayhi turja’oon.” (Surat YaSeen)
“Therefore Glory be to Him in Whose hand is the dominion/ kingdom over everything in heavens, and to Him you will be returned.” (YaSeen, 36:83)
It means that for us to understand there are teachings of the reality of mulk, World of Form, and there are teachings from malakut, World of Subtlety.
Focus on Ilm ul Malakut (Heavenly Knowledge), Not on Earthly Knowledge
Mulk, you can go anywhere, from the ilm of mulk (worldly knowledge). You can learn your usool (fundamental principles), you can learn from shari’ah (Islamic Jurisprudence), you can learn how to pray, how to wash, how to fast; all of these oceans are available. But from ilm ul malakut (heavenly knowledge) which, for our English-speaking people, is the knowledge of light, the knowledge of the soul. When we say light, it’s not the fluorescent light, it’s the light of the soul. That Allah (AJ) describes, ‘What do you think was harder to make – you or the heavens?’
79:27 – “A-antum a shaddu khalqan amis samaa-u banaaha.” (Surat An-Nazi’at)
“Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allah constructed it.” (Those Who Drag Forth, 79:27)
It means now azematullah, and means that when we talk about malakut, you are talking about, it even encompasses the mulk, because the energy we don’t see. We now know from our science and from our little bit of schooling, that even that energy is controlling the form, controlling everything physical.
So the oceans of malaika (angels) which are qudra (power), the oceans of nur (light), the oceans of reality Allah (AJ) is describing, there are hands that hold the malakut.
36:83 – “Fasubhanal ladhee biyadihi Malakotu kulli shay in wa ilayhi turja’oon.” (Surat YaSeen)
“So, Glory be to him in whose hand is the dominion/kingdom over everything in heavens, and to him you will be returned.” (YaSeen, 36:83)
InshaAllah we are going to talk about Surat YaSeen, that heart of Holy Qur’an, that for us to understand that the ilm and the knowledge that they ask us to seek is from the malakut. Don’t waste your time always just with the mulk, you can get that from YouTube. You have to have a solid understanding of shari’ah, of all the fiqh (jurisprudence) – but day in, day out the same subject? And no food, no energy, for the sustenance of the soul?
Allah (AJ) Supports Ibadur Rahman (Servants of the Most Merciful)
What Prophet ﷺ described of iman, Nurul Iman (light of faith), is that, ‘You have to love me more than you love yourself’; hubb (love). The only thing we’re interested in is to build the ocean of iman (faith), which is based on nur (light), which is based on love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
“La yuminu ahadukum hatta akona ahabba ilayhi min walidihi wa waladihi wan Nasi ajma’yeen.”
“None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind.” (Prophet Muhammad ﷺ)
It means there are people who teach from the mulk, and there are those whom Allah (AJ) describes as ibadur Rahman (servants of the Most Merciful). He gives His subhan, and describes their hand is holding the malakut.
36:83 – “Fa subhanal ladhi bi yadihi malakotu kulli Shay in.” (Surat YaSeen)
“Therefore Glory be to Him in Whose hand is the dominion over all things!” (YaSeen, 36:83)
Why? “Atee’ullaha wa atee’ur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum.”
4:59 – “Atee’ullaha wa atee’ur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat An-Nisa)
“Obey Allah, Obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you.” (The Women, 4:59)
You Need a Wasila (Means) to Bring Blessings to Your Life
It means there are categories of ulil amr, that Allah (AJ) supports them from the heavens. You can get support from dunya (material world), so you go to somebody, a police officer, a politician; everybody needs support, don’t say shirk because you become munafiq (hypocrite) and lying.
Danger is to be a munafiq where you say that one thing is a shirk in Allah’s (AJ) way but you use it every time in dunya. As soon as you have a problem, you call your mobile phone, ‘Oh police, please help me.’ Why you don’t just sit there and say, ‘Ya Rabbi, send police,’ because you are not at that level of iman. You need a wasilah and a means in which to bring this barakah and these blessings.
Nurul Iman (Light of Faith) is Love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
So they begin to teach the way of iman, and to bring that light, they begin to describe that nurul iman (the light of faith) is love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That you have to build, we have to build, an effort to love Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ more than we love ourselves.
“La yuminu ahadukum hatta akona ahabba ilayhi min walidihi wa waladihi wan Nasi ajma’yeen.”
“None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind.” (Prophet Muhammad ﷺ)
It means if you love Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ you should be busy all day long in durood shareef (praising on Prophet Muhammad ﷺ). There’s no limit in durood shareef. As much as you’re praising upon Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, Prophet ﷺ is praising upon you.
Love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ Will Lift You Out of Difficulties
Awliyaullah come and teach us, when you take a path towards the oceans of light, you realize yourself to be very da’eef (weak/helpless), that ‘Ya Rabbi, how I’m going to lift myself out of this garbage? How am I going to lift myself with my understanding of usool, where I can’t stop smoking, can’t stop drinking, can’t stop partying, can’t stop going to the wrong places.’ It means awliyaullah come into our lives and teach us that take a path of being weak. That you do your practices but seek out that which is strong. It means as soon as you begin to love Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, one durood shareef and Prophet ﷺ is making ten durood shareef upon us [Audience: Subhanallah].
Qala RasulAllah ﷺ: “Man Salla ‘alaiya Salatan wahidatan, Sallallahu ‘alayhi ‘ashra Salawatin, wa Huttat ‘anhu ‘ashru khaTeatin, wa ruf at lahu ‘ashru darajatin”
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “Whoever sends blessings [praises] upon me, God will shower His blessings upon him ten times, and will erase ten of his sins, and elevate [raise] his [spiritual] station ten times.” [Hadith recorded by Nasai’i]
It means you stop thinking you’re going to lift yourself out of the problem and say, “Ya Rabbi, ana abdikal ajiz, wa da’eef, wa miskeen, wa zalim wa jahal, (O My Lord, I am your helpless, weak, poor, oppressor and ignorant servant).” ‘I have no way out of this difficulty except through the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.’
Busy Yourself with Praying and Praising Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
Then you begin to read Dalail Khairat and all durood shareef, that, ‘Oh my God, this love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.’ The ashiqeen (lovers), when they love Prophet ﷺ more than they love themselves, you read Dalail Khairat and it’s all your du’as, but you’re asking Allah (AJ) to grant to Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Asking, ‘Ya Rabbi, grant Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ nur (light), ya Rabbi, grant Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ darajat (ranks). Ya Rabbi, take away difficulties from Prophet ﷺ, take difficulties away from the family of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Grant him all that You promised him in Your paradises, grant him from every leaf of every tree, blessings and salawat.”
Pray For Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ So He Prays For You
You begin to see, these were the awliyaullah teaching, that when you busy yourself with yourself, you are by yourself. But when you busy yourself worrying about Prophet ﷺ, praying upon Prophet ﷺ, that, ‘Ya Rabbi, grant Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ that infinite darajat, and I’m sinking. Ya Rabbi, grant Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ Your Infinite Light, and I have no light, and I’m going down. Grant Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and all his family their paradises, my family is burning.’
What do you think Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ will say? That, ‘Ya Rabbi, what is this abd (servant)? He’s in a chawl (well), he’s in a hole, his family is in difficulty, his sustenance is in difficulty, his whole faith is in difficulty. We are in Your paradises, ya Rabbi. Let me to intercede. What he wanted for me, I want for him, ya Rabbi.’ Ask for your brother what you want for yourself.
An Nabi ﷺ Qal: “La yuminu Ahadukum hatta yuhibbu li akhihi ma yuhibbu li Nafsihi.”
Anas bin Malik Narrated that the Prophet (pbuh) said: “None of you (truly) have faith till he loves for his brother that which he loves for himself.” (Sahih Al Bukhari and Sahih Muslim)
They come and they teach us, awliyaullah, ‘Stop praying for yourself, stop thinking about yourself, stop relying upon yourself, and love Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.’ And you read all these duroods, and you read all these salawats, and all blessings upon Prophet ﷺ and you don’t think Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is immediately putting his hand and says, ‘Ya Rabbi enough, from what You’ve given to me, if they came to you in difficulty…’ Allah (AJ) says in Holy Qur’an, ‘If they came to you, ya Sayyidi, ya RasulAllah, and they asked, Allah (AJ) already granted,’ it’s not even a matter of even asking.
4:64 – “Wa ma arsalna minRasulin illa liyuta’a bi idhni Allahi wa law annahum idh dhalamoo anfusahum jaooka fastaghfaro Allaha wastaghfara lahumur Rasolu lawajado Allaha tawwaban raheema.” (Surat An-Nisa)
“We sent not a messenger, but to be obeyed, in accordance with the will of Allah. If they had only, when they were unjust to themselves, come unto thee and asked Allah’s forgiveness, and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah indeed Oft-returning, Most Merciful.” (The Women, 4:64)
But you live a life to take away difficulties, loving Prophet ﷺ. Everything you wanted for yourself, for your children, for your family and for your community, you should want it for Prophet ﷺ.
The Real Du’a is Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ Prayer For You
Then Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ makes du’a (prayer). The real du’a is when Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ prays for us, not my prayer. My prayer is going nowhere, it doesn’t leave my mouth. But ashiqeen, because of the love they have for Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, it’s a love relationship. As much as they’re asking, as much as Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ says, ‘Ameen, ameen. What you ask for me, ya Rabbi, grant for him. What he asks for me, grant for him, ya Rabbi, what he asks for me grant for him.’
This is a selfless love that Allah (AJ) loves. That Prophet ﷺ is praying for his ummah (nation), and his ummah is praying for him. And Allah (AJ) loves love. Allah (AJ) doesn’t like selfishness. It means this is the sign of love.
Ashiqeen Live a Life to Spread the Love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
The people of love and the ashiqeen, they’re so busy with the love of Prophet ﷺ. They are not trying to make a poster on how to spread their business, but making a poster on how to spread the love of Prophet ﷺ, even if they don’t have their own money. Read the lives of Sahabi (Companions), they didn’t have food to eat; they didn’t think, ‘No, no, no, I can’t share. I have to take care of my mortgage, I even have to pay my mortgage off faster than normal.’
Ashiqeen (lovers), mukhliseen (sincere people), they live a life of not thinking of themselves, that, ‘I don’t need to think of myself, let me spread the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ will begin to think about me.’ Ya Rabbi, spreading his love for me, start sending his sustenance from ways he didn’t even imagine. And Allah (AJ) sends his servants and they begin to support you like you can’t imagine. [Audience: Subhanallah].
Because your whole life is trying to spread the love of Prophet ﷺ, which is the love of Allah (AJ) which is the real Islam, the real iman, real maqam al-ihsan; not crazy people interpreting their Islam and harming everyone. But ashiqeen have a tremendous love. They live a life of, ‘How can I do more? How can I sit at the table of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ and I haven’t done anything?’ So every moment they’re thinking, ‘Ya Rabbi, give me a himmah (zeal), give me an ability to do something so that I have the nazr (spiritual gaze) of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ on me.’
So we took off on Saturday and came to this centre. No profit in it, other than the real Prophet, Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It means what we do for life is to be of service. Think of ways in which to glorify Allah (AJ) by spreading the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, and Prophet ﷺ begins to think of ways on how to take care of you. That, ‘This child is in difficulty, take his child out of difficulty, ya Rabbi. He’s deep in his love for me, his sustenance is not reaching him, his hand is short.’
You Must Answer to the Divinely Call and Be of Service
They send something as an extension to reach what Allah (AJ) wants you to reach of your sustenance, but with everything in perfect order. Because if you reach to these distractions before you understood, to live a life in the love and in the way of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, you will become a fir’aun (pharaoh). A fir’aun who just becomes so occupied with dunya and money and wealth, and the pursuit of wealth, that when they say it’s time to do something for Prophet ﷺ, ‘I don’t have time right now.’ Oh, but you don’t know, you may be dying tomorrow.
When the people of the malakut (heavenly realm) call you, they are calling you from “Atee’ullaha, wa atee’ur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum.”
(Surat An-Nisa)
“O You who have believed, Obey Allah, Obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
That’s not a call that you shouldn’t take, because the boss is on the other side of that call. It’s different; your understanding and your relationship from the people of mulk (earth) is different. People of mulk, they don’t even probably believe what they’re teaching. And they teach it, it doesn’t matter; you take advice from it you benefit from it, great. They go outside and smoke.
You are taking from the people of malakut, that they surrender their entire being, the ibadur Rahman (Servants of the most Compassionate), “alam al-qur’an, khalaq al-insaan.” (Taught the Qur’an, then Created Human being, Holy Qur’an, 55:2-3). That Allah (AJ) dressed them, blessed them, filled them with light, and now they represent Allah (AJ). They are from ateeullah (obeying Allah (AJ)), they are from atee ar-rasul (obeying the Messenger ﷺ), and ulil amrin minkum, and they are the ulil amr (those with spiritual authority). These are a different reality.
“La Hawla wa la Quwwata ila Billah” – Allah’s (AJ) Support and Power Reaches to Us Through Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
That light, that blessing, they come into our lives to dress us and bless us, inspire us, that take the path of iman (faith); make a way into the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Because what’s coming on dunya (material world), nobody can carry it, nobody can hold it, nobody can defend their homes from it, other than Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. If the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is behind you, it’s Prophet’s ﷺ “la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil ‘aliyul ‘azheem.”
“And there is no Support, nor power except by Allah, The Sublimely Exalted, The Magnificent.”
How that hawla (support) and quwwa (power) is going to reach, if not by the order of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ? It means Prophet’s ﷺ support is behind you, Prophet’s ﷺ protection is behind you, Prophet’s ﷺ du’a are all over you; you are a supported person. That is what we need for what’s coming.
What’s coming is not going to help anybody wasting their time in dunya, in the world of form. So from understandings of YaSeen ﷺ, why the heart of Qur’an? Because this is the qalb (heart), this is the oceans of power of Allah (AJ), for us to begin to understand that Holy Qur’an is not created, Allah’s (AJ) Divinely speech. That Divinely speech is moving in malakut, forget about form [Audience: Subhanallah].
Focus on Nurul Muhammad ﷺ, Not Just His Physicality
The zahiris, they are very obsessed with the form. Mawlid (celebration of Prophet’s ﷺ birth) for them is to come and describe the form of Prophet ﷺ, that Prophet’s ﷺ hair was like this, the Prophet’s ﷺ complexion was like this, Prophet’s ﷺ height was like this. What benefit has it for you?
The benefit of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is Nurul Muhammad ﷺ. The reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, qalb ul Muhammadiya. That, ‘Ya Rabbi, how I can reach the light of Prophet ﷺ,’ instead of debating the length of Prophet’s ﷺ hair and the width of Prophet’s ﷺ shoulder. Prophet ﷺ is asking, ‘Why are you obsessed with that?’
Prophet ﷺ says, ‘Come to my light, to malakut, in which I am a prophet before Adam was between clay and water. That my risalat (prophethood) and I am RasulAllah for all created universes.’ [Audience: Subhanallah]
“Kuntu Nabiyan wa Adama baynal Maa e wat Teen.”
“I was a Prophet and Adam was between water and clay.” (Prophet Muhammad ﷺ)
Reality of Qalb fi Malakut (Heart in Heavenly Realm)
There is no way to reach Allah (AJ). Allah (AJ) is speaking through the heart of the soul and the ruh of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. That is the qalb: qaf, laam, to the ba. Qul, qalb, we say qalb, means flesh.
What does qalb mean for Allah (AJ)? Qalb? Allah (AJ) has no form, this is a word of form. Now let’s take that letter and that word to malakut. In malakut, the qalb: “Qaf, wal Qur’an al Majeed” Laam, is Lisanul haq” (Tongue of Truth).
50:1 – “Qaf, wal Quranil Majeed.” (Surat Qaf)
“Qaf. By the honored Qur’an.” (Qaf, 50:1)
Who can take the qul of Allah (AJ)? [Audience: Subhanallah]. Nobody, no creation, no malaika (angels). Allah (AJ) says, ‘If I put My qul (speech) onto the mountain, khashiya (dust), but Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is firm,’ in malakut. It means Prophet ﷺ is the ba.
59:21 – “Law anzalnaa haazal quraana ‘alaa jabilil lara aytahoo khaashi’am muta saddi’am min khashiyatil laah; wa tilkal amsaalu nadribuhaa linnaasi la’allahum yatafakkaroon.” (Surat Al-Hashr)
“Had We sent down this Qur’an on a mountain, verily, thou wouldst have seen it obliterated to dust (from its power), And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will contemplate.” (The Exile, 59:21)
All of Holy Qur’an is Condensed in Ba of Bismillah
All of Qur’an is in Fatiha, all, like a laser. All of Qur’an can be condensed, its reality into these seven holy verses of Fatiha (first chapter of Holy Qur’an). Seven holy verses of Fatiha like a laser will be condensed into Bismillahir rahmanir raheem. So when you say Bismillahir rahmanir raheem, it is the opening that brings out Fatiha, from Fatiha brings all uloomul Qur’an (knowledge of Qur’an) out like a laser. The Bismillahir rahmanir raheem, its power is in ba. All the laser of Qur’an is in that ba.
Qalb – Heart of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the Source of Divinely Power
That’s why qalb in malakut is qul to the ba. Allah’s (AJ) Divinely speech and qudra is flowing onto that ba, which awliyaullah call bahrul qudra, the ocean of power. That is the malakut of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, which means that ocean of light, where the nur is emanating and the holy force of Qur’an, and means that everything is created by that power, through Qur’an [Audience: Subhanallah]. Allah (AJ) says everything is contained in it.
It means this qudra that’s coming from the heart of Prophet ﷺ, which we called qalb, is the source of all power for creation, is the source and origin of all creation [Audience: Subhanallah]. And that’s why Allah (AJ) says, ‘That reality for you is called YaSeen ﷺ.’ Because what we have of this kitab is an understanding towards Holy Qur’an and Allah (AJ), Prophet ﷺ clarified the heart of that Qur’an, Qur’an al-Majeed is Surat YaSeen.
Qala Nabiyu ﷺ: “Inna likulli shayin Qalban, wa Qalbul Qurani YaSeen.”
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “Truly everything has a heart and the heart of Qur’an is YaSeen (pbuh)… (Narrated by Anas b. Malik (ra) and al-Tirmidhi)
Where is Lailatul Qadr Emanating From?
It means that the importance of understanding that Prophet’s ﷺ reality is the source of all power, so where is Lailatul Qadr (Night of Power)? All power is coming from where? The heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Everything!
It means ashiqeen (lovers), they direct themselves to the reality of Prophet ﷺ, that, ‘Ya Sayyidi, ya RasulAllah, from your holy heart, your qalb that Allah (AJ) called YaSeen ﷺ, Holy Qur’an is emanating from that and every creation is from that reality.’ So Lailatul Qadr is where? The qadr is coming from the qalb of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ [Audience: Subhanallah].
Allah (AJ) Said, ‘I Am in the Heart of My Believer’, Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
When you are going to Madinatul-Munawwarah, (City of Lights – resting place of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ), you’re talking about the reality of all the created universes, the light of that reality is right there. What do you think is holier? This is where Allah (AJ) says, ‘I’m not on heaven and I’m not on earth but I’m on the heart of My believer.’ [Audience: Subhanallah].
“Maa wasi’anee laa Samayee, wa la ardee, laakin wasi’anee qalbi ‘Abdee al Mu’min.”
“Neither My Heavens nor My Earth can contain Me, but the heart of my Believing Servant.” (Hadith Qudsi conveyed by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ)
Allah’s (AJ) only believer is right there in Madinatul-Munawwarah. Through the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is qalb, is Allah’s (AJ) [Audience: Narai takbir, Allahu Akbar, Narai risalat, Ya RasulAllah sallallahu alaihi wasallam, narai haydri]. That is the ocean of power.
Ka’bah Shareef Shows the State of Iman of the Believers
Ka’bah shareef, these are the qalb al-mu’min, baytullah, qalb al-mu’min (the heart of the believer is the house of Allah (AJ)).
“Qalb al mu’min baytur rabb.”
“The heart of the believer is the House of the Lord.” (Hadith Qudsi)
All the mu’min (believer), their symbol is the Ka’bah, and that’s why you see hotels all around because the mu’min are now all distracted. Allah (AJ) says, ‘I show you your signs upon yourself and upon the horizon.’
41:53 – “Sanureehim Aayaatinaa fil aafaaqi wa feee anfusihim hattaa yatabaiyana lahum annahul haqq; awa lam yakfi bi Rabbika annahoo ‘alaa kulli shai-in Shaheed.” (Surat Fussilat)
“We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth. But is it not sufficient concerning your Lord that He is, over all things, a Witness?” (Explained in Detail, 41:53)
You go to Makkah, you say, ‘Ya Rabbi, why so crowded?’ It’s because you’re the mu’min. It’s a symbol of the mu’min, that their hearts have all become distracted with hotels and businesses and malls. But there’s no hotels and malls in Allah’s (AJ) presence in Madinatul-Munawwarah. Because the only believer for Allah (AJ) is lying in a fana, in Divinely presence [Audience: Subhanallah]. And Allah (AJ) says, ‘I’m there. You want me, I’m there.’
That is the source of Lailatul Qadr. So it means that ashiqeen, when they love Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, they are constantly moving to the love of Prophet ﷺ. Because that which you remember is remembering you, that which you love, loves you. If you don’t love, it doesn’t love you, but his mercy is beyond that. But he draws you, as much as you’re loving, as much as that love is coming back, and drawing closer, closer.
Awliya (Saints) Are Dressed by Qadr (Power) Because They Are in Fana (Annihilation) of Prophet ﷺ
Ashiqeen are always in Lailatul Qadr (Night of Power). Lail (night) signifies that they annihilated themselves, that they made themselves to be nothing. The night symbolizes that no manifestation, that don’t manifest yourself and think of yourself; you become abd al-Faqir (poor servant), ‘Ya Rabbi, I’m nothing, I’m nothing, I’m nothing.’ They enter to the state of lail and being nothing and they’re always dressed by the qadr (power) because they are dressed by the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ [Audience: Subhanallah].
When we’re talking about love, people think this is like Valentine’s love where you give flowers to each other. This is not that love, that’s the T.V. love. This waw and wadood, is the Divine source of power. Because of the love, Allah’s (AJ) dressing that reality. By means of that love, we will be brought into these oceans of qadr. If you are brought into the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, isn’t that where he teaches Holy Qur’an? Because he’s the ibadur Rahman (servant of the Most compassionate).
When Allah’s (AJ) talking about “alam al-Qur’an” (taught the Qur’an, Holy Qur’an, 55:2), alam (taught) to whom? To the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, that, ‘My Qur’an, My power, My qudra is flowing eternally in the light of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.’ As much as you’re drawing close to Prophet ﷺ you are drawing close to Allah (AJ). You are drawing close to Holy Qur’an, you’re dressed by nurul Islam, nurul iman, wa maqam al–ihsan, which is what – to see Allah (AJ) in your salat. It means you’re so close in the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, what must be emanating from the heart of Prophet ﷺ? There must be a Divinely presence and reality of La ilaha ilAllah (There is no God but Allah ).
The La ilaha ilAllah that we recite is imitated La ilaha ilAllah, because we’re on the outside of all of this. You have to enter into the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, you have to lose yourself, your form, ‘Ya Rabbi, like a drop of water, I made myself to be important. Throw me back into the ocean of Muhammadun RasulAllah ﷺ.’ That, that reality goes back into its origins.
YaSeen = Yaqeen us Sami’, Prophet ﷺ Has Perfection of Hearing With Certainty
It means that the secret of YaSeen and the understanding of YaSeen, ya, and being the heart of Holy Qur’an; ya is for yaqeen (certainty), seen, as-sami (hearing). It means the way toward that reality is that they’re teaching, what made Prophet ﷺ be created for that reality but the manifestation of Prophet ﷺ in dunya is that he represents the perfection of hearing. YaSeen, ya when we see ya, in malakut is for yaqeen, certainty. That when we have certainty, certainty from the Divinely dress, to the seen, seen for as-sami; “sami’na wa ata’na” (We heard and we obeyed, Surat Al-Baqarah, 2:285).
2:285 – “…wa qalu samina waatana ghufranaka Rabbana wailayka almaseer.” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“And they say, ‘We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination’.” (The Cow, 2:285)
Companions of Prophet ﷺ said, ‘We hear and we obey.’ The one who hears for Allah (AJ) speaks for Allah (AJ). YaSeen, yaqeen as-sami means he hears for Allah (AJ), he speaks for Allah (AJ) [Audience: Subhanallah].
53:3-4 – “Wa ma yantiqu ‘anil hawa. (3) In huwa illa wahyun yooha. (4)” (Surat An-Najm)
“Nor does he (Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) speak from [his own] desire. (3) He is not but a revelation revealed. (4)” (The Star, 53:3-4)
In darajat ul awliya (ranks of saints), their perfection of yaqeen allows them sami, to speak. The one who hears is the one who speaks. If he’s not hearing them, malakut, he has no permission to speak [Audience: Subhanallah]. It means they inherited from YaSeen ﷺ.
3 Levels of Yaqeen in the Seen of YaSeen
YaSeen has the seen because it contains ilm ul yaqeen (knowledge of certainty), ayn ul yaqeen (Vision of certainty), haqq ul yaqeen, (certainty of truth) for malakut, not dunya.
Ilm ul Yaqeen (Knowledge of Certainty) is From Malakut
It means ilm ul yaqeen (knowledge of certainty) is the ilm that’s teaching of malakut (heavenly realm). Ilm ul yaqeen is not how many times to wash your hands and fingers, exactly how much water to use and how the water becomes dirty over a certain amount. Ilm ul yaqeen is from malakut, that ilm ul yaqeen is a power that dresses your soul, that when you sleep at night, your soul goes to Allah (AJ), says, ‘Ya Rabbi, I learned from a reality, dress me from that ocean.’ And no doubt Allah (AJ), is Kareem (generous), and says, ‘Ya abdi, (my servant) there, go, take from that ocean and swim.’
But can you do that with wudu (ablution)? Can you go to Allah (AJ), say, ‘Ya Rabbi, I learn five times now how to do wudu, let me to swim in the ocean of wudu?’ This is your body; your donkey body goes back to earth. What you’re going to need from malakut for that? You know that ilm (knowledge), and place very small reality from it. But ilm ul yaqeen is on your soul, you’re dressed from awliya (saints) on your soul. As soon as your body gets out of the way it goes to Arsh ar-Rahman, says, ‘Ya rabbi, make it to be complete.’ Allah (AJ) says, ‘Ya abdi, swim in that ocean until you’re full.’
Ayn ul Yaqeen (Vision of Certainty)
Ayn ul yaqeen is that if you be dressed by ilm (knowledge), dressed by ilm, dressed by ilm, they begin to train you open your ayn (vision). The eyes of your head, they’re not going to get you anywhere, you’re going to be distracted in shopping centres. Sit with them, train with them, how to close your eyes, to be nothing, to be nothing, to be nothing, dress by ilm ul yaqeen, and begin to open ayn ul yaqeen, (vision of certainty), where you begin to see what people don’t see [Audience: Subhanallah]. It’s holy hadith, that, ‘When My servant comes to me with voluntary worship, I be the hearing with which he hears and the eyes in which he sees,’ and the rest of the hadith.
“…, wa la yazaalu ‘Abdi yataqarrabu ilayya bin nawafile hatta ahebahu, fa idha ahbabtuhu kunta Sam’ahul ladhi yasma’u behi, wa Basarahul ladhi yubsiru behi, wa Yadahul lati yabTeshu beha, wa Rejlahul lati yamshi beha, wa la in sa alani la a’Teyannahu, …”
“…My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary acts of worship so that I shall love him. When I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him…”
Hadith Qudsi (Sahih al-Bukhari, 81:38:2)
Haqq ul Yaqeen (Certainty of Truth)
Ilm ul yaqeen, and ayn ul yaqeen, the two combined become what? If you begin to see from these realities, every grandmother sees Prophet ﷺ in a dream, it’s not something difficult. But why you need a dream? Because your ego is getting in the way. But if you sit and train and lower your desires and learn how to make tafakkur, you begin to see through your heart; that ilm ul yaqeen, practicing ayn ul yaqeen became haqq ul yaqeen for you, because it’s not a lie anymore and it’s not an imitation. You know it like your hand, because you learned it, you trained, Allah (AJ) showed it.
Ilm ul Yaqeen, and Ayn ul Yaqeen = Haqq ul Yaqeen
Knowledge of Certainty + Vision of Certainty = Truth of Certainty
What Sayyidina Ibrahim (as) (Prophet Abraham) said, ‘Ya Rabbi, let me see how you revive the dead.’ So why you don’t believe?
2:260 – “Wa iz qaala Ibraaheemu Rabbi arinee kaifa tuhyil mawtaa qaala awa lam tu’min qaala balaa wa laakil liyatma’inna qalbee…” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“When Abraham said: ‘Show me, Lord, how You give life to the dead,’ He replied: ‘Have you no faith?’ He said ‘Yes, but (I ask) just to reassure/satisfy my heart’.” (The Cow, 2:260)
It means Allah (AJ) will prove the reality and begin to show you the reality. Brick by brick that reality becomes a haqq (truth) for you, and that is the seen, the sir, the secret, that Prophet ﷺ wants, that, ‘Come to your reality, come to the malakut, come to these realities,’ because it’s from Surat YaSeen.
We pray that Allah (AJ) grant us more and more hubb ur Rasul (Love of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ [Audience: Ameen]. That the way and the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is all that we need, that Allah (AJ) will grant Divinely love upon that love.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa wa bi sirri surat al-Fatiha.
