“Subhana dhil Mulki wal Malakut”
“Glory to the Lord of Worldly and Heavenly Kingdom.”
Always a reminder for myself that we are from the school of Naqshbandiya til ‘Aliyya. We have Chistiya here, Qadriya, Rifa’iya, and Suharwardi Tariqa and all our mashaaikh al kiraam and all the beloved members of the community and all the lovers of Sayyidina Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
That we gather together for the love of prophet (saws) to remind ourselves of the good character and the akhlaaq of Sayyidina Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam who came as a Rahma (mercy) for all Creations.
21:107 – “Wa maa arsalnaka illa Rahmatan lil’alameen.” (Surat Al Anbiva)
“And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.” (The Prophets 21:107)
We are going to talk about something from the realities of the light of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and a reminder that more important now is that the world of light, Malakot (heavenly realm). Malakot kulli shayy has dominion over everything.
Everything has become Superficial
We became such a facade of people, we became Hollywood people. We asked last night if anyone has taken the Hollywood tour, where everything is fake on the outside and behind it there is nothing. When you drive there are beautiful buildings and everything is there but behind it there is nothing. Our lives became like that because of the material influence and the media influence and everything is so superficial. What we are suffering from and Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had described is a superficial existence where we focus only on the outside.
Islam Is for the Body to Submit
We have three phases: Islam, Iman and Ihsan. Islam is for the body to submit, and to wash, and to understand that I have to wash the body to be made clean for salah. But they are reminding for the last week and half to keep making tafakkur, keep making contemplation that the Malakot and your light is far more superior than your body. Means if you are not taking care of your soul, the soul is going to Allah Azza wa Jal‘s presence, not the body. We became such a people where we focus only on the body and we are washing so much.
Wudu is not About the Water Only
We were just discussing with our beloved brothers if you go for Hajj wudu (ablution) is very scary. Have you seen how they are cleaning inside their throat, inside their nose all the way to the back of their brains they are trying to wash? This is the badan (body). Ashaab un Nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam (companions of Prophet (s) made wudu with a cup of water. So it must have not been about the water. Have you ever washed with a cup of water? There is not going to be much water on you. You basically take the water and keep rubbing your hands. So it is not about the water touching the body and making it look like you were in a hamam, you went for a shower. But there must be a reality, that yaa Rabbi I am washing this body no doubt, but I have to wash my heart, and I have to wash my soul. What am I going to do with this body which is like a donkey? It became so clean but inside maybe it is not so clean.
Shaitan is Already Inside
We are washing to take away the Shaitan but what if Shaitan is already inside? Because Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam described that Shaitan is running through the blood. If he is running through the blood, means he is moving to the heart, he has occupied the heart.
Qala Rasulallah (saws): “Innash Shaitana yajri minal Insani majrad dami.”
The Prophet replied, “Satan circulates in the human being as blood circulates in the body” Sahih Muslim 2174
Who is Your Lord that Controls You?
Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) gave the Hadith, “Who knows himself will know his Lord, his Rabb.”
“Man ‘arafa nafsahu faqad ‘arafa Rabbahu”
“Who knows himself, knows his Lord.” Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ)
His Lord, his Rabb, so before knowing Rabbi al‘Ala the Lord Most High, there are lords of a lower degree that control the heart. Because if you were truly submitting to Allah Azza wa Jal you would walk on water. Many miracles would be coming from you if you are in complete tasleem (submission) to Allah Azza wa Jal. So there must be something in the heart controlling the heart, making the person to smoke, to drink, to cheat, to steal but yet their body may be is making salah. You see them in the masjid but if you see them in their shop, in their stores and in their businesses, it is like a different personality, like a criminal. But they come to the masjid and become like a superman where you go into the telephone booth and you change your clothes and come out with a masjid look. It is different.
Make a Wudu of the heart
Then Ahlul Haqayiq come into our life and begin to teach that you have to make a wudu for the heart, it is a reminder for myself, I am only talking to myself. You have to wash your heart, you have to wash your soul and constantly contemplating, “Yaa Rabbi is my heart qalbu mu’min? Is it baitullah?”
“Qalb al mu’min baytur rabb.”
“The heart of the believer is the House of the Lord.” Hadith Qudsi
What is the purpose of my outside being clean but my inside Shaitan is attacking me, making waswas (whispering) upon me, making me to chose the wrong, chose the bad?
Every Usul Must Have Heavenly Reality from Malakot
Ahlul Haqaaiq come and teach, “Okay in society they learn how to make wudu, they watched all of it on YouTube but every usul must have from Malakot, must have! “kulli shay” from Surat Yaseen.”
36:83 “FaSubhanal ladhee biyadihi Malakutu kulli shay in wa ilayhi turja’oon.”
“So, Exalted is He in Whose Hand is the dominion over all things and to Him you will be returned.” ( Surat Yaseen 36:83)
Allah gives His Subhaan (Glory) upon the hand from the Malakot, means the people from the world of light, kulli shay in (everything) they are all encompassing. So imagine now, it means light is the atomic reality if you are operating from your soul, and your light controls the physicality. The physicality controls nothing; if you only made the body to submit, it controls absolutely nothing. Inside, if your lights, your atoms and molecules are in tasleem (submission) and are under your dominion, Allah will give you power over your entire being.
Everything is in Allah’s Malakot. Every atom is from Muhammadun Rasulullah, every atom. It cannot be from laa ilaaha ilAllah because laa ilaaha ilAllah means: don’t look here. All Creation every atom of Creation must be between which ocean? From laa ilaaha ilAllah? Can’t be because there is no sharik (partner), nothing can be with Allah Azza wa Jal, it must be from the ocean of Muhammadun Rasulullah.
Malakot Understanding of Wudu
Zikrullah Purifies Your light – No Zikrullah /Salawat, No Inner Wudu
Means then our light is important. How did Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam prescribe for us to purify our light? MashaAllah everybody purifies their bodies, everybody is washing in the big jama’ats when we are going to pray. Zikrullah tatm’in al qulob.
13:28 – “Alladheena amano wa tatma’innu Qulobu hum bidhikrillahi, ala bidhikrillahi tatma’innul Qulob.” (Surat ar Ra’d)
“Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah. for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction.” (Holy Quran, the Thundar 13:28)
Means the people who don’t make Zikrullah and they don’t make darood shareef (praising) on Sayyidina Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam they have no wudu inside. No wudu! So imagine somebody who is very filthy and he is making namaz and you say, “Akhee, (brother) just privately between you and me, it would be better if you wash”. And he says, “I don’t need to wash, I will make my salah.”
What do you think from people of Basirah whose hearts are open and they recognize that all the people are making salah but Shaitan is already within them! Their salah doesn’t rise because the salah is mixed with Shaitan it doesn’t go anywhere. How is Allah going to take it to His Divinely Presence? Allah Azza wa Jal says: Haqq and falsehood don’t come together.
17:81 – “Wa qul jaa alhaqqu wa zahaqal baatil, innal batila kana zahooqa.” (Surat Al-Isra)
And say, “Truth has come, and falsehood has perished. Indeed is falsehood, [by its nature], ever perishing (Al-Isra:81).”
From what is within your heart you are making namaz/Salah how is it going to rise to Allah Azza wa Jal? From within your heart you are making du’a and your du’a is not rising. Everything we are doing its power will be based on the power of the heart. If the heart is clean Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam described, “There is a piece of flesh, if it is clean all of you is good, if it is bad all of you would be contaminated.”
“Ala wa inna fil Jasadi mudghatan idha salahat salahal jasadu kulluho, wa idha fasadat fasadal jasadu kulluho, ala wa heyal Qalb.”
“There is a piece of flesh in the body, if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoiled the whole body gets spoiled and that is the heart.” Prophet Muhammad (saws)
Means they come and teach from Malakot, that if I want to know about wudu we should be washing the heart and soul.
Malakot Understanding of Zakat (Charity) of Soul
From Malakot you want to give zakat (charity), the zakat of your body is 2.5%. The zakat of your soul is that you have to give your life for Allah Azza wa Jal. This is (from realities), every usul has a reality. We are fixed only on the Islam, which only means you accepted to submit. But from Maqam al-Iman (station of faith) and Maqam al Ihsan (Station of Excellence) it is much more.
Station of Iman – Sayyidina Ibrahim (as) was Asked to Sacrifice his Son
Sayyidina Ibrahim was teaching a higher zakat because he was giving all his life, giving everything. Angels were coming to test Sayyidina Ibrahim alayhi’s salaam on his generosity. They took all his sheep, they took all his property, he gave everything.
Allah Azza wa Jal says, “Now Maqam al Iman, I want the boy.” He thought, “What?” “I want the boy.” Sayyidina Ibrahim thought, “I can’t believe it, I will go back to sleep.” “I want the boy!” Now Maqam al Iman is more than your money. Maqam al-Iman is to put your life on the line. Make your life to be: fasalli li rabbika wanhar, because these are Ahlul Kawthar.
108:2 – “Fasali li rabbika wanhar… (Surat al Kawthar)
“So pray to your Lord and Sacrifice.” (108:2 – Quran, The Abundance)
Ahlul Kawthar are drinking from the fountains of hayat. Allah Azza wa Jal says, “I don’t care about your 2.5%, put your head on the stick. Put your life on the line and submit yourself for Me.” Sayyidina Ibrahim alayhis salaam was trembling, “How am I going to sacrifice?”
Station of Ihsan – Isma’il (as) was Ready to Sacrifice Himself
37: 103 – “Falamma aslama wa tallahu liljabeen.” (Surat as Saffat)
“So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice)”
After the whole event of the sacrifice Sayyidina Ibrahim and Sayyidina Ismail had adialogue. Sayyidina Ismail alayhis salaam asked his father, “Who is higher, me or you?” Sayyidina Ibrahim alayhis salaam said, “I had to make a zahiba on you and I was shaking, I couldn’t take it.” He said, “Yes, very nice, but I surrendered myself for Allah Azza wa Jal,” because Sayyidina Ismail knew his father was going to sacrifice him. He said, “Yaa baba don’t be shaking, insha’Allah you will find me to be patient with what Allah Azza wa Jal has ordered you,”
37:102 – “Falamma balagha ma’ahus sa’ya qala ya bunayya inni ara fee almanami annee adhbahuka fanzhur ma dha tara, Qala ya abati if’al ma tu maru, satajidunee inshaAllahu minas Sabireen.” (Surat as Saffat)
“And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, “O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think.” He said, “O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, one of the Patient/steadfast.” (Holy Quran, Those who set the Ranks)
More important Sayyidina Ismail is teaching that he had a tremendous ya’qeen as a small child that: I know what Allah Azza wa Jal is giving you as an order, if you are from a Rasulullah, I am also inheriting that station. From the lineage of Sayyidina Ismail alayhis salaam is coming Sayyidina Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Means Ahlul Kawthar!
Ahlul Kawthar don’t put money on the table, they put their life on the table. They say, “Yaa Rabbi let our lives to be in Your way,” not suicide bombers, astagfirullah, to harm people. The only ones they (Ahlul Kawthar) harm are themselves. They put themselves in harm constantly to come against themselves and to make themselves to be of service to Sayyidina Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
Malakot Understanding of Salah (Daily Prayer)
36:83 “FaSubhanal ladhee biyadihi Malakutu kulli shay in wa ilayhi turja’oon.”
“So, Exalted is He in Whose Hand is the dominion over all things and to Him you will be returned.” ( Surat Yaseen 36:83)
It means the Malakot, the world of light is all encompassing. Everything that we think we know from just the Islam, there must be something from Maqam al Iman and from Maqam al Ihsan.
The salah when you are praying; it has from Maqam al Islam you pray and you face the Ka’bah and you pray, you look down at where you are going to make sajda.
Maqam al-Iman is what in the salah? Since last year we have been teaching here. Maqam al-Iman is Noor ul Iman “to love Sayyidina Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam more than you love yourself.”
“La yuminu ahadukum hatta akona ahabba ilayhi min walidihi wa waladihi wan Nasi ajma’yeen.”
“None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind.” Prophet Muhammad (saws)
So now which way are you facing when you are making salah? You are facing Ka’bah but your heart must be filled with love of Sayyidina Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And your heart must be directed to Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Your body is facing the Ka’bah.
Maqam al-Ihsan, Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is describing now a different Qibla, to pray and worship all your worship as if you see Allah Azza wa Jal.
Qala Fa akhberni ‘an al Ihsan.
Qala: An Ta’bud Allaha, Ka annaka tarahu, fa in lam takun tarahu fa innahu yarak.
Now, tell me about spiritual excellence (ihsan).”
The Prophet (PBUH) replied, “It is to serve/worship Allah as though you behold/see Him; and if you don’t behold/see him, (know that) He surely sees you.” Prophet Muhammad (saws)
So Maqam al Ihsan means the heart is open and they witness what Allah Azza wa Jal wants them to witness in every ‘ibadat (worship). In everything they do, through their heart they witness what Allah Azza wa Jal wants them to witness. They are not fixated that the Ka’bah is two degrees this way or that way. You are not supposed to be worshiping the Ka’bah. Your body was merely supposed to be pointing towards that.
But have you seen the jama’ah? Every body is moving the carpet two degrees left or right. If you go out to a picnic and say, “Let’s pray Salah,” everybody starts playing with the carpet two degrees this way or three degrees this way. It tells you the level of their belief is very low. They are thinking and their whole belief is that they should be directing themselves directly to the Ka’bah. Means the body faces the Ka’bah but the heart should be facing Sayyidina Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and the yaqeen and the soul in the Divinely Presence of Allah Azza wa Jal. Means that is a reminder: wa ma arsalnaka illa rahmatan lil ‘alameen.
21:107 – “Wa maa arsalnaka illa Rahmatan lil’alameen.” (Surat Al Anbiva)
“And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.” (The Prophets 21:107)
It means that Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam didn’t come for the dunya. He salaat o sallam didn’t come to give us dunya (material world) but he came to bring us towards our realities of Paradise, to bring us under the intercession of Sayyidina Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam for the Nur Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
Everybody and Every Masjid Should Do Zikrullah
We pray that Allah Azza wa Jal always grant us a deeper understanding from the world of light. And that everything we are doing must have a reality within the world of light and that is what we should be striving for.
Only through Zikrullah and darood shareef and all the spiritual practises of the soul, all these lights begin to open. All the masjids should be making Zikrullah. Everybody should be making Zikrullah because it brings tranquility.
24:36 “Fee buyotin adhina Allahu an turfa’a wa yudhkara feeha ismuhu yusabbihu lahu feeha bilghuduwwi wal asal. “ (Surat an Noor)
“(Lit is such a Light) in houses, which Allah hath permitted to be raised to honour; and that His name be mentioned therein: In them He is glorified in the mornings and in the evenings, (again and again), (Holy Quran, The Light 24:36)
If they are not making Zikrullah in the masjid means, then the people are not making Zikrullah. If the people are not making Zikrullah means the heart and the soul is not being washed. And if the heart and the soul is not being washed, [they have difficulty]. Why do we have difficulty? Why is the rizq falling short? All sorts of difficulties and hardships and illnesses?
2:114 – “Wa man azhlamu mimman mana’a Masajida Allahi an yudhkara feeha Asmuhu, wasa’a fee kharabiha, olayika ma kana lahum an yadkhuloha illa khayifeena, lahum fid dunya khizyun wa lahum fil akhirati ‘Adhabun ‘Azheem.” (Surat al Baqarah)
“And who are more unjust than those who prevent the name of Allah from being mentioned in His mosques/(His House) and strive toward their destruction. It is not for them to enter them except in fear. For them in this world is disgrace, and they will have in the Hereafter a great punishment.” (Holy Quran)
We pray that Allah Azza wa Jal open all of His masaajid for Zikrullah. And open all of the hearts of believers for Zikrullah and all of the hearts of believers for the love of Sayyidina Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
Subhaana rabbika Rabbi ‘l-izzati amma yasifoon wa salaamun `alal mursaleen wa ‘l-hamdulillahi rabbi ‘l-`Aalameen, bi sirri Surat al-Fatihah.
