A’udhu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the rejected one
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem wa Alhamdulillahhir Rabbil Alameen wa Salatu wa Salaam Ashrafil Mursaleen Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammad ul Mustafa ﷺ bi Madadakum wa Nazarakum Madad Ya Sayyidi, Ya Sultanul Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Abdullahil Faizad Daghestani, Sultanul Awliya Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Haqqani, Sultanul Qulubina Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani, Madad Al Haqq Ya Hujjatullahi al Mukhlis.
Keep the Company of Kamil (Perfected) Shaykhs
A’udhu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum.
﴾أَطِيعُواللَّه وَأَطِيعُوٱلرَّسُولَ وَأُوْلِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ… ﴿٥٩…
4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat An-Nisa)
“… Obey Allah, Obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)
And that a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and by the grace of Allah (AJ), I am still in existence. That Allah’s (AJ) infinite rahmah (mercy) keeps me alive. That, if anytime Allah (AJ) to be fed up with a servant, they cease to exist. There’s no way to have pride in Divinely Presence. To know the greatness and magnificence of Allah (AJ), awliyaullah (saints) come into our life to give us good character, and to teach from the realities and haqqaiqs of Prophet’s ﷺ Heart, his Holy Heart. That, only through the good character and keeping their company. They’re ahlul basirah, the people whom Allah (AJ) open their hearts. They, by open hearts, have nurul iman (light of faith), and with that vision of nurul iman, they’re reaching towards Maqamul Ihsan (Station of Moral Excellence). Without an open heart, there’s no way to even reach iman (faith), and forget about Maqamul Ihsan. So, to keep their company is priority in life.
Love for All the Prophets Completes the House of Allah (AJ)
And by keeping their company, they gave from their teachings. That, what Prophet ﷺ wanted was a completion of a holy heart. It means, “Qalb al mu’min Baitullah.”
قَلْبَ الْمُؤْمِنْ بَيْتُ الرَّبْ
“Qalb al mu’min baytur rabb.”
“The heart of the believer is the House of the Lord.” (Hadith Qudsi)
The whole knowledge of the lataif (subtle energy points) of the heart is actually the realities of Baitullah (House of Allah (AJ)). That Allah (AJ) wants us to understand, I sent all these Prophets to complete my house. So, that the believer would have a house of Allah (AJ), that is kamil and perfected. And each Prophet is like a wall for the house, until its completion and its crowing in the reality in the arrival of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. He comes to complete the Holy House of Allah (AJ) that is within every insan (human being).
Muharram Opens the Baab al Maghfirah (Door of Forgiveness) for Every Nation
So, it means that in these days of Muharram, its Baab al Maghfirah. That there are 12 hijabs (veils) and awliyaullah are moving. Common people move through Surah one, Fatiha, Opening. The Khawas and whom Allah (AJ) gave to them a reality, they move from Baab at Tawbah (Door of Repentance), 9, in the power of 9. As soon as Muharram opens, they’re moving through Suratul Tawbah. And what Allah (AJ) want from them, sacrifice yourself through this gate.
It means put your bad character at the door and ask for Allah’s (AJ) true maghfirah and forgiveness. In their knowledges that they teach, they want us to understand that when Muharram opens, and the gates of forgiveness open, then on the tenth day of that first month, Allah (AJ) grants a maghfirah and forgiveness, a najat (salvation). And every nation was granted a najat on ‘Ashura. That says the Ash-e-Nurah, a time in which Allah (AJ) sends immense light. And what every nation has to do with nation of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, is that Prophet ﷺ brings the kamil, the perfected. The last of this entire reality of the house, and brings the perfected character teaching that without your good character and accompanying kamil Shaykhs, to teach you that each Prophet is important for your reality. Don’t negate a Prophet, otherwise your house is not kamil.
Realities of ‘Ashura and Secrets for the Soul
‘Ashura of Sayyidina Adam (as) – Forgiveness is Granted
So, it means that everyone, in the way of realities, they’re going to have multiple ‘Ashuras. The first ‘Ashura that they’re going to have and teach that Sayyidina Adam (as) has to come only with good character. Only by accompanying these awliyaullah, they bring the ruhaniyat (spirituality) of Sayyidina Adam (as) to their students. And say these years that you’ve been struggling, these years you’ve been struggling, you’re not going to get the highest najat. It means with your struggle, if Allah (AJ) accepts your struggle, the first ‘Ashura that will begin to open for the servant, Wa ‘allama Isma kullaha.
2:31 – “Wa ‘allama Adamal Asma a kullaha, thumma ‘aradahum ‘alal Malaikati faqala anbioonee bi asma i haola e in kuntum sadiqeen.” (Surat Al-Baqarah)
“And He taught Adam the names – all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, ‘Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful.’” (The Cow, 2:31)
Each Prophet is coming to teach we have an eternal reality. You don’t just get the trophy and the greatest reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. But through the character and the teachings of Prophet ﷺ, He brought all the Prophets for us. It means be humble, learn from them, love them, all their realities in Holy Qur’an.
Acquire Divinely Knowledges From One Source
So, then the first level of the heart, under the authority of Sayyidina Adam (as), and the first ‘Ashura. And that’s why they teach – teach that learn from one source. When you learn from too many different sources, you become like kalle-pache, or what; I don’t know what you have in Pakistani soup where you throw the head in there, the tongue in there. Everything is in this soup that you can’t even imagine what, what the heck is left of it. Take from one source, the people of realities. The external people, they don’t understand any of those realities, and they place no importance on it. And that’s why none of their students become ahlul basirah. They just become zahiri, external students.
Struggle and Seek Forgiveness Just Like Prophet Adam (as)
What they want for us is now, Ya Rabbi, I’m struggling with myself. Then that student at one point in their life, when their struggle is true, their character is perfected, Allah (AJ) will grant them what he granted Sayyidina Adam (as), a najat. It means I accepted your tawbah, I accepted your repentance. You’re perfected in Heavens, you came and sinned and I threw you upon this Earth. For 40 years, Sayyidina Adam (as) cried. That, Ya Rabbi, grant me my forgiveness, grant me my repentance. It means that exact thing has to happen for us, on this dunya (material world). And that’s why many Shaykhs say that it’s not going to happen until you’re 40 years old. The age of Sayyidina Musa (as). Because at that time you’re like a man. Before that, they consider you like a child. You come and go and play around. But at that point in our lives, they’re asking in their teaching, ‘No, Allah (AJ) going to send a light into the heart. And that becomes from the realities and the Adamic light within the heart.’ Wa ‘allama Isma kullaha – that a Divinely Knowledges will begin emanate into the heart of that servant. That, there’s something to achieve in these classes. With good character, good character, with attendance, with the zikr (remembrance).
Writing Knowledges Illuminates the Adamic Light in the Heart
Then they begin to teach, Wa allama Isma kullaha, Allah (AJ) want to give knowledges, Wa allama bil qalam. And its going to give that knowledge by the qalam. Aallam yalam. I’m going to teach you what you didn’t know. Not what you learn in school, accounting and bookkeeping, and then computer technology. Not Allah (AJ) going to teach you that. But when you attend their majlis, attend their association, this pen is mightier than the sword.
96:3-5 – “Iqra, wa rabbukal akram (3). Alladhee ‘allama bil Qalam (4). ‘Allamal insana ma lam ya’lam. (5)” (Surat Al-Alaq)
“Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous. (3) Who taught by the pen. (4) Taught man that which he knew not. (5)” (The Clot, 96:3-5)
Because one of those ‘Ashuras, when it opens, Ash-e-Nurah, they’re waiting, waiting, Ya Rabbi, grant me a light, grant me a maghfirah (forgiveness). The first station Allah (AJ) has to grant is the station of the qalb (heart). That I’m forgiving you all your wrong and bad actions. As a result, knowledges will begin to flow into your heart. And they’ve been taught that for us to be a recipient of knowledge, I have to be one whom lives by the pen. As soon as I write these knowledges, and take a life of writing, what I’m showing Allah (AJ) from this finger and this thumb, all realities are going to begin to flow through this pen. I’m showing Allah (AJ) I want to be a vehicle for your realities, a vessel for your realities, but you need something to bring the reality out. The pen shows that and that’s what Allah (AJ) was giving of a isharat (sign) to Prophet ﷺ. That, read and the secret of that reality, that Prophet ﷺ giving to his nation, to his companions, to his Ahlul Bayt (as) (holy family of Prophet ﷺ), and his awliyaullah, is teach your people to write. As soon as they write these realities, now they have a way in which Allah (AJ) going to start sending into their heart.
The More You Write, the More Knowledge Flows to the Heart
So, when they give you work to do, and translations to do, you start to realize you’re understanding more than what other people understand. Because knowledge is now coming. But, if you don’t write, and you’re not in a process of understanding and studying, how knowledge is going to come. Not, when you’re in the supermarket walking around, oh, I got what, that’s Wahy (Revelation) for Prophet ﷺ. It’s not like that. But, when you’re a student of the way, you begin to write, you begin to read the lectures. Then, as soon as you make your tafakkur (contemplation), as soon as they talked about one ayatul Qur’an or one holy hadith, your heart becomes inspired. So, the first ‘Ashura is the Adamic reality of Sayyidina Adam (as). That Allah (AJ) has to begin to bestow upon that servant, forgiveness. And then Divinely Knowledges begin to flow through that heart.
Who Taught Sayyidina Adam (as) Knowledges?
And then they even teach every year deeper and deeper realities, Allama Isma kullaha, who taught Sayyidina Adam (as) knowledges? Hadith e Jabir is that Prophet ﷺ was the Rasul (Messenger) before Adam (as) was between clay and water.
قَالَ رَسُولَ اللَّه صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: “كُنْتُ نَبِيًّا وَآدَمُ بَيْنَ الْمَاءِ وَالطِّينِ
Qala Rasulullahi (saws): “Kuntu Nabiyan wa Adama baynal Maa e wat Teen.”
“I was a Prophet and Adam was between water and clay.” Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
If Prophet ﷺ is RasulAllah ﷺ, then RasulAllah ﷺ, Allama, is the one who taught Sayyidina Adam (as), Kullaha, every knowledge. If Prophet ﷺ is first and a Rasul, ancient! Light of Prophet ﷺ is the Messenger of Allah (AJ), then who taught Sayyidina Adam (as)? It’s Prophet ﷺ taught.
All Prophets Wanted the Gaze of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
So, all these Muhammadan haqqaiqs begin to come. Prophet ﷺ is teaching. This Muhammadan Heart, this holy Hadith that I’m giving to you, Baitullah. It will become kamil (perfected) from my teaching, from my nation. All Prophets wanted the nazar (gaze) of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, and it’s given to his own nation. As soon as they reach maghfirah, and knowledges begin to bestow upon their heart, then the next ‘Ashura that begins to open is from Sayyidina Nuh (as). So, it means somebody must be teaching you about Sayyidina Adam (as), Sayyidina Nuh (as), Sayyidina Ibrahim (as), Sayyidina Musa (as), Sayyidina Isa (as), and then the best of all realities, Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
‘Ashura of Sayyidina Nuh (as) – The Ship is Granted Refuge
Sayyidina Nuh (as), when Allah (AJ) grants the ‘Ashura of Sayyidina Nuh (as), means that I save the ship of Noah on ‘Ashura. That it was put into a ship of difficulty, traversing oceans of calamity. It means extreme testing in your life. If Allah (AJ) granted forgiveness and begin to grant knowledges, he’s going to flip your ship in every direction, every direction, here and there, here and there. Imtihan (tests) comes into your life, and what they want for us is the perfection of character.
Through Testing the Soul is Granted Faith
At that time, and that ‘Ashura, Allah (AJ) grants Safinatun Najat. That your soul will be a ship of safety. It will reach towards these realities of safety. It knows its way back to Allah (AJ), these are the maqams (stations) of faith. It means every test that comes into our life, with the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, we pass, we’ll be inspired for the right choice and to leave the bad choice. That soul is then granted faith. That faith empowers the soul to reach directly to where Allah (AJ) wants it to reach. These are very short version of these realities.
The Presence of Sayyidina Ibrahim (as) – Fire is Made to be Cool and Peaceful
The next ‘Ashura that has to open for the servant is from Sayyidina Ibrahim (as), Qulna ya Naaru, kuni Bardan wa Salaman.
﴾قُلْنَا يَا نَارُ كُونِي بَرْدًا وَسَلَامًا عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ﴿٦٩
21:69 – “Qulna ya Naaru, kuni Bardan wa Salaman ‘ala Ibrahim.” (Surat Al-Anbiya)
“We said, O fire, be cool and Peaceful upon Abraham.” (The Prophets, 21:69)
Awliyaullah Absorb Our Burdens and Burn Them Away
That every type of difficulty and fire of this dunya will be thrown upon the servant. And that the control of anger and ghadab. The control of that anger is essential, that it doesn’t become an anger, a fire, but becomes the fire of himmah (zeal). That they have a tremendous fire within their heart to accomplish. And they’ve been trained how to take the fire of difficulties, the mushkilat of not only themselves, but everyone they deal with. As soon as you enter into the room, all your difficulties are thrown upon that Shaykh; whether you know it or not, this is a tremendous washing machine. And maybe millions may be watching. Thousands or hundreds of thousand can be watching. As soon as they watch, their nazar, their difficulties are put upon them. And from them, their silsila, and their chain of Shaykhs, are responsible for taking those difficulties. And they teach, Qulna ya Naaru, kuni Bardan wa Salaman, Every naar (fire) and difficulty approaches them, and Allah (AJ) teaches them the reality of be cool and peaceful. They begin to take the mushkilat of people because they’re like a shams (sun).
So, when they study the stars, they found out that actually the star eats everything in space. It needs a fuel-source. Every element is drawn into the gravity of the star and the star actually eats all of the elements. It uses the sayyiat (sins) and the character of people as a source of food for itself. So, your sins become like a wood for their fire. The more sins, the stronger their fire. But they don’t encourage you to make sins. That’s why they have to keep moving. They have to keep broadcasting. They have to keep being amongst people. If no sins, their light is in difficulty because Allah (AJ) changed their reality. Their reality is to burn. If you don’t have a fuel for your burn, you begin to burn on yourself. So, they can’t be given by Allah (AJ) a responsibility and run away from it and hide. Because then they would begin to burn themselves. So, Allah (AJ) creates them, a new type of creation like a sun, where Prophet ﷺ, all is from Hadith. Prophet ﷺ said, follow any of my companions, they’re like a najm (star).
أَصْحَابِيْ كَالنُّجُـــومْ بِأَيْهِمْ اَقْتَدَيْتِمْ اَهْتَدَيْتِمْ
“Ashabi kan Nujoom, bi ayyihim aqta daytum ahta daytum.”
“My companions are like stars. Follow any one of them and you will be guided.” Prophet Muhammad (saws)
So, then you study the najm. The najm is actually a source of light, a fire. A naar (divinely fire), not a nur (light). Shams un Naahrun, wa Qamarun Noorun. The Sun is the fire which means it actually needs a fuel source and become the sayyiat of mankind. The sins of people enter into their room and they begin to burn it, burn it. Although it affects them, the more they’re taking, the more nurani they become, because the reflection of that fire comes out and becomes a light. So, their hearts are shams and their face is a qamar (moon). As much as they’re taking of their burdens and difficulty of people, as much as Allah (AJ) shines upon their face a light, and that’s why they’re qamarun. Their faces are the full moons of realities.
Enter Into Associations and Convert Fiery Anger Into a Divinely Fire
So, means that when that heart is going to open, and they’re granted faith from Sayyidina Nuh’s (as) maqam, these realities will begin to change upon that servant. That’s why don’t deprive yourself of their presence. These only shaitan (satan) playing with you, don’t go, don’t go, don’t go. If you don’t go, your sayyiat (sins), you will hold it. And you’ll carry the burden of its difficulty and you begin to see many difficulties in your life. As soon as you enter into their associations, you be taken away, all the difficulties be taken away. And you go home feeling light and enlightened. As soon as they sit with Sayyidina Ibrahim (as), and teaching them how to make that fire, Qulna ya Naaru, kuni Bardan wa Salaman, means then every wudu (ablution), you begin to train yourself, Ya Rabbi, don’t let me to be angry. When anger comes, go wash. When anger comes, go wash, and make this reality to begin to change into a Divinely Fire within the heart.
‘Ashura of Sayyidina Musa (as) – Parting of the Sea to Reach the Shore of Safety
And then they reach to Sayyidina Musa (as). And Sayyidina Musa (as) was granted his najat (salvation) in which Allah (AJ) parted the sea for him. When Allah (AJ) grants these lights and then grants the ‘Ashura of Nabi Musa (as), means, I’m going to give you a faraj, a safety from shayateen (devils). Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Inna ‘atayna kal kawthar. Fasali li rabbika wanhar. Inna shani-aka huwal abtar.
108:1-3 – “Inna ‘atayna kal kawthar. (1) Fasali li rabbika wanhar. (2) Inna shani-aka huwal abtar. (3)” (Surat Al-Kawthar)
“To thee (O Muhammad) we have granted the Fount (of Abundance). (1) So pray to your Lord and Sacrifice. (2) Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off. (3)” (The Abundance, 108:1-3)
Soul is Granted a Safe Passage Towards Allah’s (AJ) Divinely Presence
That if Allah (AJ) grant from Sayyidina Musa (as), means that this fir’aun (pharaoh) that continuously coming after you, these bad things that continuously coming after you, I’m going to grant you a najat, that now you’re reaching towards my paradise realities. That these oceans of difficulty begin to part and they be granted a safe passage towards Divinely presence. Because this fir’aun of this dunya doesn’t leave anyone alone, continuously coming, continuously coming. So, in the midst of all their work and all that you’re doing, Allah (AJ) has to grant a najat, that I saved you from that fir’aun that coming after you, and now the oceans of ignorance will part. And now, you’re granting a passage towards my Divinely Presence.
‘Ashura of Sayyidina Isa (as) – Ascension to the Heavenly Reality
And then grant you the ‘Ashura of Sayyidina Isa (as). Where Isa (as) comes and teaches, you have to be now, raised. Allah (AJ) took you away from fir’aun, took you from all that fir’aun worshipped. Now, you’re on the heavenly reality, you must have your mi’raj (ascension), been granted to you. Where you be lifted, lifted into their presence. That’s why, when they come and they teach, your mi’raj is where? It’s not to Allah (AJ), your mi’raj is in the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. As soon as the ahbab an Nabi ﷺ (lovers of Prophet ﷺ) are teaching, that grant me salvation, grant me a way from these difficulties, they begin to enter into the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. With their light, they enter into the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, and their light, up into the heart and the reality of Prophet ﷺ. It means you be granted a mi’raj with your soul, into the Soul of Prophet ﷺ, up into the Divinely Presence. Which is what? “Qalb al mu’min,” the soul of Prophet ﷺ, Manzil ul Qu’ran (where the Holy Qur’an emanates).
قَلْبَ الْمُؤْمِنْ بَيْتُ الرَّبْ
“Qalb al mu’min baytur rabb.”
“The heart of the believer is the House of the Lord.” (Hadith Qudsi)
Mi’raj of the Believer’s Soul is into the Heart of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
The soul of Prophet ﷺ is the location in which the Holy Qur’an is emanating. Not once! For all of eternity. Its emanating. Ahbab are the lovers. It means they train their soul to have more love for Prophet ﷺ than anything on this Earth. Their souls then all levitating into the heart of Prophet ﷺ. In the heart of Prophet ﷺ, is the mi’raj of the believers. In the heart of Prophet ﷺ, they be dressed by Holy Qur’an. What Prophet ﷺ want to dress them with? The lights of Holy Qur’an. That’s why they can speak from Qur’an what nobody can understand. Because they’re in the head of that waterfall, flowing. Where I think Burdah Sharif was saying, some take by spoon, some take by cup, some take by oceans from that river, Qasida Burdah. We said that’s the heart of Prophet ﷺ; their souls are swimming in the heart of Prophet ﷺ which is Manzil ul Qu’ran. All of Qur’an is flowing from that reality. And they drink and be blessed and washed by it, and they rise.
وَكُـلُّـهُـمْ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ مُلْتَمِسٌ
* غَرْفاً مِنَ الْبَحْرِ أَوْ رَشْفاً مِنَ الدِّيَمِ
Wa kulluhum min Rasulillahi multamisun
* Gharfan minal bahri aw rashfan minad diyami
All of them come and take from Allah’s (AJ) Messenger, some take a handful of his ocean or some sip of his continuous rains.
‘Ashura of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ – Hijrah to the City of Lights (Madinatul Munawwara)
As they rise, then the greatest of the ‘Ashura, the greatest of the openings, what Prophet ﷺ, described, ‘If anyone should be happy, we should be happy,’ because we were granted Madinatul Munawwara (luminous city of Prophet ﷺ). It means that now you’re in the owner of the City of Lights. You reached the destination of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Prophet ﷺ is, Nurul anwar wa sirrat al asrar. He’s the light of every secret, and the secret of every light in existence is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It means that ‘Ashura, they grant you into the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. The Mi’raj came, the next ‘Ashura Allah (AJ) opened is now, enter into the City. The City of the One whom you love, the City of Lights of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. It means they’re entering and walking in that city.
Companions and Ahlul Bayt (as) Teach Sacrifice for the Love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ
And that’s why then the Sahabi (Companions) and Ahlul Bayt (as) teach, they were walking in this city of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Prophet ﷺ was saying, I’m hearing, that the footsteps of my companions in that paradise. Why they were in the paradise of Prophet ﷺ. He can hear his companions walking in his realities. And what they taught us, from the lovers of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, is the understanding of ‘Ashura of Imam Hussain (as). That, this way of love of Prophet ﷺ is to sacrifice for Prophet ﷺ. They’re walking in the City of Lights.
Every difficulty that comes to them, they’re doing it for the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Sayyidina Bilal Habashi was ripped to pieces, for what? That, leave what you believe, leave the Rasul ﷺ. I will never leave Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. All the Companions taught. Sayyidina Salman al Farsi (Q) put himself into slavery to reach Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. All the sahabi kiram, they died in that way. They fought two battles, three battles a day. For Allah (AJ)? They didn’t even see Allah (AJ). They fought because of the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. They say, you remind us of Allah (AJ). If Allah (AJ) is generous, we know generosity through you. If Allah (AJ) is loving, we know it through you Sayyidi Ya Rasulullah ﷺ. We live and die to be with you.
What was Ahlul Badr? They came for money, and Prophet ﷺ, ‘Sorry, things changed. There is not going to be any money now, you can leave if you want.’ And the companions said, leave? Whatever you gave to us, we kept it. Whatever you told to leave, we left it. We leave you? We live and die right here with you. 313 sahabi immediately became 313 awliyaullah with that. And that’s why we say Bi Ahlul Badr because of the greatness of what they achieved, and Allah (AJ) dress those companions with their complete reality. Wherever they moved, everything would fall down out of the greatness.
Through Every Difficulty Keep Your Heart Connected to Rasulul Kareem ﷺ
It means what they accomplished of realities and self sacrifice, Imam Hussain (as) comes to teach, and all the Companions came to teach. For this love of Prophet ﷺ, everytime your life becomes mushkil and difficult, keep your heart connected, visualize yourself in Madina, say, ‘Ya Rasulul Kareem (The Most Generous Prophet), don’t let me to be disgraced, don’t let my faith to go. If my faith goes, it’s like I won’t see you. I want to be at your table, I want to be raised under your flag, I want to be on Judgement Day, under your banners.’ So, it’s all for the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. Don’t let my faith go, don’t let these difficulties overtake me. Grant me! And Allah (AJ) say, ‘Hold tight to the rope of Allah (AJ).’
(Surat Ali-Imran)
“And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not separate…” (Family of Imran, 3:103)
What’s the rope of Allah (AJ)? It means immediately they feel their hand holding to Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, Innal ladheena yubayi’oonaka innama yubayi’on Allah.
48:10 – “Innal ladheena yubayi’oonaka innama yubayi’on Allaha yadullahi fawqa aydeehim, faman nakatha fa innama yankuthu ‘ala nafsihi, wa man awfa bima ‘ahada ‘alayhu Allaha fasayu teehi ajran ‘azheema.” (Surat Al-Fath)
“Indeed, those who give Bayah (pledge allegiance) to you, [O Muhammad] – they are actually giving Bayah (pledge allegiance) to Allah. The hand of Allah is over their hands. So, he whoever breaks his pledge/oath, only breaks it to the detriment/Harm/loss of himself. And whoever fulfills their covenant (Bayah) that which he has promised Allah (AJ) – He will grant him a great reward.” (The Victory, 48:10)
And the hand of Prophet ﷺ reaches to them. Reach to anyone that connect their heart. With anyone who closes their heart, and say, ‘Sayyidi, Ya Rasulul Kareem Ya Habeeb ul Azheem; you, I know you’re in front of me, I’m not worthy of seeing you, my hand with you, and take my bayah, take my allegiance, take everything and make your light and your faiz (downpouring blessings) to reach to me.’ And no doubt that servant will begin to feel a flow of energy from Prophet ﷺ into their heart. And when that flow begins to come, every difficulty they come, they come crying. These naat shareef (songs of praises) was teaching us that let my head always be at your feet, Ya Sayyidi Ya Rasulullah. Let my head to be under your feet, your, your foot to be upon my neck. Don’t let me to leave Siratal Mustaqeem (the Straight Path). So, that this faiz dress me and bless me. With all of that, they had strength to continue. We pray that Allah (AJ) grant us from the lights of ‘Ashura, the lights and the realities that are immense, and too immense to speak about in just 20 minutes.
Imam Hussain (as): Sayyid ash Shuhada (Master of Those Who Witness)
We said last night that Imam Hussain (as) understood his destiny. And definitely Sayyid ash Shuhada, the one who signs for anyone who going to be ahlul basirah, was told by Prophet ﷺ, you’re going to perish there. Are you accepting that task? Said, ‘Most definitely accepting; if this is the amr and this is your order, I’m going.’ All of Madina said, don’t go. Can’t describe, ‘No, you don’t know who I am getting my isharat from. There’s no way to say no to Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.’ Said, ‘If you go and you perish like that, Allah (AJ) will accept what you want. What is it that you want if that difficulty comes?’ Do you think he wanted to curse anybody? Did Prophet ﷺ curse anyone from his nation? Did Imam Hussain (as) want to curse anyone? And say, oh, if this happens to me, I’m going to throw them all into jahannam (hellfire). But that was the work of shayateen (devils). Shayateen are busy taking people into jahannam. Ahle Muhammad ﷺ, they’re busy taking people to paradise. Said, ‘If this happens to me, as you’re describing, I am accepting that all of them to be under intercession.’
72 Martyrs of Karbala – the Great Intercessors for Prophet’s ﷺ Nation
72 of the nation of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ firqas will be wrong, 72 groups will be wrong. And 72 martyrs are interceding for each one of those groups. And the one whom is right is Sayyidina Hussain (as). Teach us that the way of love, the way of best of character, the way of muhabbat (love). So, means they’re the great intercessors for the nation of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. They knew what they were going to do, they knew what was going to be put upon them; there’s no lanat, no cursing, no nothing. They did it because Prophet ﷺ, “Ummati Ummati Ummati.” What gift you can give your Grandfather? Did he want money from them? No! Say, I will give them the love that you have for your nation, I’ll put my life on that. If Allah (AJ) will ask me, Allah (AJ) listens to oppressed. Allah (AJ) doesn’t listen to everyone. Why Allah (AJ) wants to listen to us if we don’t do anything. But as soon you’ve been oppressed, you have a voice in Divinely presence. Allah’s (AJ) the one who hears the oppressed.
Awliya Teach Us to Pray for Forgiveness and Good Character Amidst Oppression
So, when many times we described last night, for people who weren’t here. They teach you the khuluq and the character. That, whatever happens in difficulty, when Allah (AJ) wants to love you, always pray for people’s forgiveness. If they say bad to you, forgive them. If they do harm to you, forgive them. Anything they’re doing, forgive them. Because Allah (AJ) will listen to you, and ask, what do you want? You were oppressed by this person? By the best of character, they learn from their Shaykhs. If Allah (AJ) is asking, that something been done wrong, Ya Rabbi, if you’re asking, I’m asking for their forgiveness. And Allah’s (AJ) so happy with that reply, He grants his muhabbat and love.
Why awliyaullah are loved? Not because they have bad character, because their character is so loved by Allah (AJ). And they train him, go out and be oppressed. You’re going to be oppressed by people, you’ll have a voice in Divinely Presence. If nobody oppressing you, nobody bothering you, nobody stressing you, some are, are very oppressed by their wives. Sorry, some by their husbands. Everybody has an oppression, it’s a gift from Allah (AJ). Don’t curse, don’t, don’t, don’t try to destroy. But asking Ya Rabbi, Allah (AJ), if you’re asking me and I’ve been oppressed, I’m praying for forgiveness. Grant forgiveness, grant forgiveness. Your stations rise, and that’s why awliyaullah are loved by Allah (AJ). We pray that we get the great character, the good character in which Allah (AJ) to be pleased with us.
