The Station of the Khafa (Hidden) is symbolized by the Green Pulsar Star (al Tariq). This is the state of Jismiya (Physical perfection) and the reality of Insan Kamil (Perfected Being). In this station the sense of smell opens which is the Angelic reality. You become more sensitive and begin to smell people’s energy around you. This level is represented by Green light and the Spring, which is the reality of resurrection. The soul prepares for ascension towards the heavens and to the Divinely Presence.

– How to Enter to the Presence of Sultanan Naseera (Victorious King)
Sayyidina Israfil comes and says, “Come now I will take you to the baab as-Siddiq into the presence of the sultanan naseera (Victorious Knig).”
وَاجْعَل لِّي مِن لَّدُنكَ سُلْطَانًا نَّصِيرًا ٨٠…
17:80 – “…waj’al li min ladunka Sultanan NaSeera.” (Surat al Isra)
“… and grant me from Your Presence a King to aid (me).” (Quran, The Night Journey 17:80)
Sayyidina Israfil comes into our soul and into our reality and shows I am going to teach you how to rise into the Divinely Presence. That as you are learning how to be nothing, how to be nothing and how to bring your soul out, I will teach you the realities of on how to take you into the presence of the sultanan naseera.
Means how to perfect your character, how to annihilate yourself, annihilate your character. How when we are going to go into the presence of sultanan naseera not to raise your head, be nothing, don’t ask for anything, don’t dare look into the eyes of Prophet (salallahu `alayhi wa sallam) but keep your head upon the floor, that keep your head upon his holy feet. That is why Awliyaullah wear a turban with a sandal mark, that is why they wear the button of the holy sandal of Prophet`(salallahu `alayhi wa sallam).
It means that Sayyidina Israfil teaches the protocol of how to enter into that presence; be nothing, be nothing and enter into the presence of that sultan who is great and whom Allah (Azza wa Jal) loves beyond imagination. You can’t do anything in the presence of Prophet (salallahu `alayhi wa sallam) because now you are coming to the master of annihilation.
Sayyidina Muhammad (saws) is the Master of Annihilation
Prophet (salallahu `alayhi wa sallam) is the master of annihilating, that anything other than what Allah (Azza wa Jal) wants, Prophet (salallahu `alayhi wa sallam) will annihilate. So then the servant comes as completely nothing that, yaa Sayyidi Yaa Rasul Kareem (O’ generous Messenger), let my head just to be at your feet. Tell me what Allah (Azza wa Jal) wants for me, not to lift myself or to think anything, just to be dust under your feet. And they carry the sandal as a reminder upon yourself, upon your body, upon your head, I want to be nothing.
As Sayyidina Adam bowed down to the light of Sayyidina Muhammad (salallahu `alayhi wa sallam) we take ourselves to that same understanding. Bowing is not for worshipness, that is only for Allah (Azza wa Jal). This is sajdatil ihtiraam (bowing out of respect) that you are in the presence of someone whom Allah (Azza wa Jal) has a magnificent love for, and out of respect, that I am not one to look at your divinely and blessed face. I am not one to expect anything, Yaa Sayyidi, yaa Rasul Kareem, Ya Habibul ‘Azeem, just keep me at your threshold, just have pity upon my poor being, dress me from your nazar, dress me from your blessings, lift me from my difficulties.
When You are Oppressor to Yourself, Go to Prophet (saws) (Quran 4:64)
Then the love of Prophet (salallahu `alayhi wa sallam) comes and begins to enter that reality sultanan naseera. Means Allah (Azza wa Jal) wants to know who signed-off for you, because when the servant is an oppressor to themselves they have to come to you, yaa Sayyidi, yaa Rasulullah.
4:64 – … wa law annahum idh dhalamoo anfusahum jaooka fastaghfaro Allaha wastaghfara lahumur Rasolu lawajado Allaha tawwaban raheema. ” (Surat An Nisa)
“…And if, when they had wronged [were oppressor to] themselves, they had but come to you (saws) and asked forgiveness of Allah, and asked forgiveness of the messenger, they would have found Allah Forgiving, Merciful.” (The Women 4: 64)
You see all of Qur’an is describing this. This is that ayat (verse) opening: they have to come to you and ask My forgiveness, then they have to ask your forgiveness, then Allah (Azza wa Jal) describes, then I am forgiving. Why are they coming to Me directly? Why are they asking Me when they didn’t come to you?
So means this whole reality is this understanding, that you are coming to perfect your character. Sayyidina Israfil is teaching, that you want the real repentance, the real reality of what Allah (Azza wa Jal) wants, then go into the presence of Prophet (salallahu `alayhi wa sallam) as nothing and don’t claim to be anything. Ask to be dressed from his nazar (gaze), dressed and blessed from his light, so that Sayyidina Muhammad (salallahu `alayhi wa sallam) signs your paper.
That sultanan naseera, somebody signed off for you, that “We know you, we authorized you, we have our nazar upon you, you are being dressed by Sayyidina Jibreel, Sayyidina Mikhail, Sayyidina Azrael, Sayyidina Israfil and Sayyidina Malik.”
From Musa (as) at Sir Sir to ‘Isa (as) at Khafa
From Sirr e Sir Nabi Musa alayhis salaam taught us that : ‘yes, if you open the perfection of your hearing and control your anger and bring it into a Divine love, you will begin the stations of hearing and speaking.’ Means from maqam (Station) of Sir as Sir (Secret of Secrets) is the opening of hearing and speaking into that Divinely Presence. They begin, and this is again holy hadith, “My servant approaches with voluntary worship, I become the hearing in which he hears, I become the speaking in which he speaks.”
“…, wa la yazaalu ‘Abdi yataqarrabu ilayya bin nawafile hatta ahebahu, fa idha ahbabtuhu kunta Sam’ahul ladhi yasma’u behi, wa Basarahul ladhi yubsiru behi, wa Yadahul lati yabTeshu beha, wa Rejlahul lati yamshi beha, wa la in sa alani la a’Teyannahu, …”
“…My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary acts of worship so that I shall love him. When I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him…” Hadith Qudsi
Means: “Qalb al mu’min baytullah.” Baytullah must be very powerful if it’s really baytullah and these are the realities and the power of the heart.
قَلْبَ الْمُؤْمِنْ بَيْتُ الرَّبْ
“Qalb al mu’min baytur rabb.”
“The heart of the believer is the House of the Lord.” Hadith Qudsi
‘Isa (Jesus) (as)
at the Station of Khafa خفاء (Hidden)
These realities of the heart, they begin to teach: if the love of Prophet (saws) begins to open, they take us to the Khafa (hidden). Naqshbandi zikr is based on the khafi zikr. The zikr we are doing is because we are in the lands where people want to come towards reality. The real Naqshbandi zikr, the khafi zikr (silent), is done at home. That the student does their khafi practices at home and that they don’t even move the tongue in the khafi zikr. It’s not just that they [whispers: Allah, Allah, Allah], but they take themselves to a state of no movement; for any movement brings you to again your sense of bodily function. That they train in how to not even move, and in no movement they are doing their zikr through their heart. And that is the most powerful zikr. That is the most powerful meditation. That is the most powerful of realities for the opening of the soul.
Khafa is the Station of Resurrection and Ascension Towards the Heavens
The Khafa (hidden) station, is under the authority of Sayyidina Isa alayhis salaam, that Jesus Christ, peace and blessings be upon him, is the station of that reality. And it is symbolic by green. Why we wear the green turban and why green is so important for us – because it is the station of resurrection. It is the station of ascension towards the heavens. That if all your disciplines have been put upon the body, all of the desires have been brought down upon the body, and that the faculty of hearing and speaking into that Divinely Oceans of light is beginning. Then Sayyidina Isa alayhis salaam comes into our life and begins to teach that, “I had no father in dunya and as a result, I have no bad characteristics. What you have of bad characteristics is an inheritance from your father. I have no father and no bad characteristics and I’m going to show you on how you can make your ascension to the heavens, how you can resurrect yourself into the Divinely Presence.”
Allah ‘Azza wa Jal teaches, “I show My signs within yourself and on the horizon.”
…سَنُرِيهِمْ آيَاتِنَا فِي الْآفَاقِ وَفِي أَنفُسِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ
41:53 – Sanureehim ayatina fil afaqi wa fee anfusihim hatta yatabayyana lahum annahu alhaqqu, …(Surat Al Isra)
“We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth…” (The Night Journey 41:53)
Spring and the Green Colour is a Symbol of Resurrection
And every spring, we have a celebration called Nowruz. Why was it so important in these Muslim areas? Because it was a tremendous reality of the Khafa (hidden) reality, especially for Mawlana Shah Naqshband and the regions where Mawlana Shah Naqshband and Naqshbandi tariqa was very powerful. Not because of what they understand of Nowruz but the new day and the reality of spring, that spring was symbolic of its resurrection.
Allah ‘Azza wa Jal shows us that every year everything dies. Every plant begins its phase of death; every plant begins to lose all its leaves. It enters into the oceans of barzakh and submission. As it submits and waits, it waits for the April showers. As soon as the April shower comes, it’s a state of resurrection. As soon as that rain hits that plant, hits the soil, everything becomes anew; everything becomes resurrected.
And Sayyidina Isa alayhis salaam is teaching us that they station of dying before death, the station of lowering your bad characteristics, the station of becoming nothing and bringing out the power of your soul is so simple and small for Allah ‘Azza wa Jal. He keeps saying, “What’s harder- to bring you into My Divinely Presence or to bring all the leaves back onto the same tree?” And how it’s done in the billions, all around this earth, all by a rain that comes in April. When that rain comes and begins to dress creation, everything begins to come new. Then the force and the reality of green is the force of life. It is the reality of life and many different realities that Sayyidina Isa alayhis salaam begins to teach us.
Sayyidina ‘Isa (Jesus) (as) teaches – Leave Physicality, Focus on the Soul
Sayyidina ‘Isa (as) teaches, if you leave the physicality and begin to focus upon the soul, that your soul will begin to come out, and the power and the reality of your soul will begin to come out and move into the Divinely
