Love of Sayyidina Muhammad (saws) is our Salvation
All around us are days of difficulty, and many more difficulties are continuously opening. There are many who are Ahlul Tariqa, Ahlul Haqqayiq, they don’t feel it but they see it; because of the barakah and love of Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, they are spared many different hardships. But when we look at the signs around and we watch the TV and everything around us, it is continuously reminding of how much difficulty is all around: how much azaab (punishment), how much calamities; that everywhere we look, there is a difficulty.
These are days in which to show our gratitude to Allah ‘Azza wa Jal, to show our love and appreciation to Allah ‘Azza wa Jal, to Sayyidena Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, to awliyaullah, by our good acts and our worshipness.
When we see all these things, then we have a sense of responsibility that, ‘Ya Rabbi, what I’m seeing in front of me of these calamities, of these hardships, of children being taken, children being beaten, children being abused, family being abused. You look; you have the whole spectrum is somebody feeding on the internet all sorts of horrible azaab; either that they get beaten at school, they get taken by strangers, earthquake and calamity. Means there’s no safety except in Allah ‘Azza wa Jal. And that Allah ‘Azza wa Jal to be pleased with us, God to be pleased with us.
Alhamdulillah, Awliyaullah come into our lives and teach that if you want Allah ‘Azza wa Jal’s Pleasure and Satisfaction, keep the love of Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And that love will perfect us, even when our worshipness is weak, the love comes in as a najat, as a salvation. That when the ‘aashiqeen (lovers of Prophet (saws)) and the students of ‘aaqshiqeen, they have such a love for Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, even their worshipness is coming short; but because of the love of Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and the teachings of awliyaullah to keep good manners, good character, good respect. That’s what saves us.
Keep good Manners – Don’t Talk, Listen and Observe
It means that when we sit, and we have good manners and we listen from them; “don’t talk, don’t say things that are unnecessary, keep your adab, keep your discipline. Try to keep a path of silence, that observing always; no need to talk too much, because once it comes out your mouth, you can’t take it back.
It means that: keep a path in which you observe more. That’s why Allah ‘Azza wa Jal gave two ears and one mouth: means that you take a path in which you listen. Listen and observe, listen and observe. If it’s necessary to speak, then after contemplation, contemplate: ‘The words I’m about to use, of what benefit are they? If I just say something without thinking, like jahal and ignorant, I’m going to be accountable. These words are going to be something that we will be accountable for, that it will be written.’
It means everything of the turooq (Islamic Spiritual Paths) comes to perfect the character, especially on these days. These days of hardship and difficulty, they come and want to remind us that: stay under the umbrella of God’s Mercy. Allah’s Rahmah (mercy) like a rain dressing you. If, for any reason you should leave that umbrella, what awaits are the rains of fire that are coming upon this earth. It’s not from me; watch the news, watch TV, watch this horrible feed through Facebook of how people are tormenting each other, beating each other, burning each other – horrible, horrible way that they treat humanity.
Invite Prophet Muhammad ﷺ by reciting Salawat and Durood Sharif
They come and remind that: make sure you’re under the umbrellas of Mercy, by keeping the love of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, so that the heart becomes sweet, the tongue is fragranced with Durood-e-Shareef. That, busy yourself, busy ourselves with continuous salawat on Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, one: because it fragrances the heart. When you say ‘Allahuma salli ‘ala Muhammad wa ‘ala ali Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,’ it fragrances the heart; it beautifies the heart. It gives your soul its nobility to Allah ‘Azza wa Jal. ‘Cause if we don’t know yet the greatness of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam’s status in Allah ‘Azza wa Jal’s Divinely Presence, what gives you a tashreef and a respect and honour.
Take a, in Farsi when they invite you “tashif be areen” means ‘come’. Actually the word is that ‘bring honour to us’. When you invite a guest, you’re asking him in the eloquence of their language, that you don’t say, ‘Come over’; you say, ‘Bring an honour to us’ and that is your invitation to a guest.
This is from the tashrif of the heavens, that the greatest guest for our being is Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. As soon as you make Durood-e-Shareef (praising/sending blessing upon Prophet (saws), you are asking for the most honoured, most loved one in Divinely Presence, the arwah and the soul of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to come as an invitation. You are sending an invitation to Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, “If you remember me once, Allah ‘Azza wa Jal sends my soul to praise you ten times.”
So means the way to invite the most honoured and most beloved guest of all creation is by Durood-e-Shareef of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
As soon as you take a habit in which you are continuously praising upon Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and even that praise is zikr of Allah ‘Azza wa Jal; because you have to say, ‘Allahuma salli ‘ala Sayyiduna Muhammad wa ‘ala ali Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.’ So first, you are remembering Allah ‘Azza wa Jal: Allahuma.
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَلَى آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَ سَلِّمْ.
Allahumma salli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Sayyidina Muhammadin wa Sallim.
“O Allah! Send Peace and blessings upon Muhammad and upon the Family of Muhammad (Peace be Upon him)
So when people say, ‘Oh why do you make salawat but not zikr,’ because they have no mind. The salawat is the zikr of Allah ‘Azza wa Jal. You have to say: ‘Allahuma salli ‘ala Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.’ You have to ask Allah ‘Azza wa Jal to praise upon the reality of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
This salawat (praising) brings an invitation of nobility to the soul. It brings a light and blessings of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to our soul. It fragrances and beautifies the heart and begin to take away all of the bad character within the heart because the most honoured and most noble of guests comes fully loaded with lights of Allah ‘Azza wa Jal.
That is all that we were reciting; we recite that [salawats] for about 45 minutes of tremendous cleansing upon the soul. As we are reciting, these are all 100% accepted du’as (supplications). And as you are making these du’as, the light of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam [says], ‘Ameen, ameen, ameen,’ and coming and washing away every imperfection.
That’s why they teach us because maybe yet we don’t understand the greatness; one day you feel sad and you’ll be sitting and crying and remember how awliyaullah came into our lives and how much they taught us of the love of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
At that time we were like children and we didn’t understand, ‘What is he talking about, what is he talking about?,’ Until one day maybe the heart opens and the presence of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is there. And in that presence, you feel that, ‘Why didn’t I know that and respect that and love that and understand your reality at that time? Forgive me for my heedlessness. Forgive me for my heedlessness, be ihtiram (disrespect), for my lack of understanding’. You don’t know what to say into the presence of Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
Prophet (saws) is very humble that he accepts everyone’s invitation
So that’s why they teach, they teach: this tashrif, this respect, this honour, this nobility, the love is so simple, an invitation because of the immense humility of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. If today you send an invitation to a president or a prime minister that rules over a garbage can, he still won’t come. You send so many gifts and so many invitations, they are not coming. But the one who rules over the entire universes of the world of form, mulk (world) and malakut (heavens), alayhis salaatus salaam, is so humble, says: “I come to any invitation. You make one salawat upon me and my soul will come to you to make ten, ten blessings upon your soul. That gives the honour upon the soul.” It gives the soul its honour, its light and its medallions.
Prophet ﷺ is Within You – “Feekum”
Allah ‘Azza wa Jal described when we were talking about that ayat al-kareem, in Surat al-Baqarah, ayah 151 in Surat al-Baqarah, “Feekum,”
“Just as We have sent within/Among you a messenger from your own, reciting to you Our Signs, and purifying you, and teaching you the Scripture/Book and Wisdom and teaching you New Knowledge, that which you did not know.” (Quran, The Cow 2:151)
That Allah ‘Azza wa Jal says that, “That light is amongst you as soon as you make salawat.” That that light comes to purify you:
Allah ‘Azza wa Jal is teaching that this is a great sign that Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam’s light is amongst you. Awliyaullah come and teach: not only amongst you but within you. You are living in the ocean of Muhammadun RasoolAllah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. If your belief is not yet at that, not yet there, then say amongst you, no problem.
If the light of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is amongst us, because Allah ‘Azza wa Jal’s Words are alive; Allah’s Words are never a history story. Allah ‘Azza wa Jal’s Words are continuous oceans flowing reality. That when Allah ‘Azza wa Jal describes that, “The light and the reality of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is with you, amongst you, ‘zakee’, and that he is going to purify and sanctify you.”
The Haq, Sayyidina Muhammad‘s ﷺ Light, Purifies You
“The Haq obliterates Falsehood”
Then people come and say, “How is the light of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam going to sanctify and purify me?” Why, because Allah ‘Azza wa Jal says, “Qul jahal haqq.”
17:81 – “Wa qul jaa alhaqqu wa zahaqal baatil, innal batila kana zahooqa.” (Surat Al Isra)
“And say, “Truth has come, and falsehood has perished. Indeed falsehood, [by its nature], is ever perishing/bound to perish (The Night Journey 17:81)
In Holy Qur’an, Allah gives the order to Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam: “Qul”- say; “ja al haqq”- that verily when the truth comes, “ja al Haqqu wa zahaqal batil. Innal batila kaana zahuqa.” That “verily when the truth comes, it obliterates falsehood”; because truth and false can never be together; and falsehood by its nature is always perishing. It’s something that’s dying. It’s never blossoming and growing.
It means then: who is the haqq of Allah ‘Azza wa Jal? It’s Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam’s light. It’s the soul of Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. The soul of all the prophets are the lights of haqq. As soon as you make a durood upon that soul, upon an invitation to that reality, the light of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam comes to become present and begin to, is the reality of Holy Qur’an: “Qul ja al-haqqu wa zahaq al-batil”’ that the light of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam comes and is the truth of Allah ‘Azza wa Jal, which, in that light is no falsehood, no falsehood.
Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ is the Walking Quran!
There was no Kitab (book) at the time of Prophet (saws)
“Alif, Lam, Meem; dhalik al kitabu la rayba fee..” Who brought [the book]?
2:1-2 -“Alif, Laam, Meem. Dhaalikal kitaabu laa rayba feeh, hudal lil muttaqeen.” (Surat al Baqara)
“Alif, Lam, Meem. “This is the Book” about which there is no doubt/uncertainty in it, a guidance for those conscious of Allah .” (Holy Quran 2:1-2)
Allah ‘Azza wa Jal, is swearing by alif, lam, meem; and that ‘dhalik al kitab’, and that this kitab …- in Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam’s life there was no kitab, what are you talking about? Did you know that there was no Qur’an in the presence of Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam? There was no compiled book. “Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is walking Qur’an.”
When you say, “Dhalik al-kitab”, ‘verily this kitab that has no crookedness, has no doubt, has no mischief, has no wrong in it,’ is a description of Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he is Allah ‘Azza wa Jal’s walking Kitab. The book is in which manifested for us weaker people. Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is the kitab of Allah ‘Azza wa Jal: Kitabul Mubeen (Holy Quran 5:15), Imamul Mubeen (Holy Quran 36:12).
5:15 – “Ya ahlal kitabi qad jaa akum Rasoluna yubayyinu lakum katheeran mimma kuntum tukhfona minal kitabi wa ya’fo ‘an katheerin, qad jaa akum mina Allahi Noorun wa Kitabun Mubeen.” (Surah al Ma’idah)
“O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger [Prophet Muhammad (saws)], making clear to you much of what you used to conceal in the Scripture/book and overlooking much. There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book.”
36:12 – “Inna nahnu nuhyil mawta wa naktubu ma qaddamo wa atharahum, wa kulla shayin ahsaynahu fee imamin mubeen.” (Surah Yaseen)
“Verily We shall give life to the dead, and We record all their footprint of the past and every step they take in the future, and of all things We have taken account in a Perfected Clear Imam (leader/Prophet (saws)).“ (Holy Quran 36:12)
That there’s nothing that can contain the power of Holy Qur’an, where Allah ‘Azza wa Jal described, “This Qur’an, if I reveal it, it make the mountains to be dust.”
59:21 – “Law anzalna hadha alQurana ‘ala jabalin laraaytahu, khashi’an mutasaddi’an min khashyatillahi….” (Surat Al Hashr)
“Had We sent down this Qur’an on a mountain, verily, you would have seen it obliterated to dust (from its power) And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will Contemplate… ” (Quran, The Exile 59:21)
Mountains Represent Awliya (saints) on earth
So, think of Mount Everest and Allah ‘Azza wa Jal is describing that the mountains are awtaad, jibala awtaadan ;
وَالْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا ٧
78:7 – “Wal jibala awtadan.” (Surat an Naba)
“And Mountains like Pegs.” (Holy Quran, The Tidings)
That when you understand the purpose of a mountain, mountains are on earth because the earth was moving. When Allah ‘Azza wa Jal created the earth, the tremendous movement of the earth and its shaking, the mountains are pegs; they go deep down and they hold and make the earth to be firm. The mountains are symbols of awliyaullah on earth. That’s why mountains are very holy; when you go to a mountain, they represent the different awliya (saints) who are on earth and the positions and the station. And Allah ‘Azza wa Jal is saying in Surat an-Naba, “jibala awtaadan”; that they hold firm the earth.
And Allah ‘Azza wa Jal says, “If I put the Qur’an onto that mountain it would be as dust, and vanish,” out of fear of Allah ‘Azza wa Jal. Out of fear of Allah ‘Azza wa Jal, there is nothing that can hold the real light, the reality of Qur’an; there is nothing that can hold that but the heart of Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
It means that, InshaAllah the mawlid opens. In Shahrul mawlid, [birth month of Prophet Muhammad (saws) Rabi ul Awwal] with the reality of Holy Qur’an. That you are talking about the lights in which Allah ‘Azza wa Jal sends to the soul of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam; that nothing can contain that but the presence and the arwa of Nur ul-Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
As soon as you make a durood, this is just an entry into that understanding. Allah ‘Azza wa Jal zakee, that He is going to clean and purify because he is the Haqq of Allah ‘Azza wa Jal. And when the aqq of Allah ‘Azza wa Jal comes, it obliterates. Allah ‘Azza wa Jal wants us to understand that, “Make no doubt, that if Nur ul-Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam comes, it obliterates the falsehood.”
Prophet (saws) is the Sahib (Owner) of the Holy Quran
So then people have a difficulty in making salawat. And we go to these places where they teach hifz (memorization) of Qur’an and say, ‘MashaAllah, mashaAllah, you are hafizil Qur’an. How many Durood-e-Shareef do you make a day?’ They say, ‘No, we don’t make Durood-e-Shareef.’ How can you possibly read Qur’an without making Durood-e-Shareef? Who brought you Qur’an? Who is its sahib, we were just reciting?
Salawats:
Sayyidus sadati min mudari Ghawthu ahlil badwi wal hadari
Sahibul aayati was suwari Manba’ul ahkami wal hikami
Master of the masters of people of Mudar,
The Saviour of people of the desert and cities,
The Owner of the verses & chapters [Holy Quran],
The Source of laws and Wisdom
Asyadil Hassan wal Hussaini ila’Nabi qurrato ‘aini
Ya shabaa bal janna’taini Jaddukum, Sahibul Qur’ana
Our Masters, Al Hassan (as) and Al Hussain (as),
They are the coolness of Prophet’s (saws) eyes,
O’ the Youth of the Paradises,
Your Grandfather (Muhammad (s) is the owner of the Holy Quran
Who is the owner of that reality? How can you have something but not praise its sahib, the one whom Allah ‘Azza wa Jal gave the Holy Qur’an to? He is the reality and the power of all that reality.
Means that they have no adab (manners) anymore. As a result, have no more power. If they have no more power, they have no more zakee; there is no more purity. They’re not pure, they’re not clean. Say, ‘Why do you lack cleanliness? Because you lack the Durood-e-Shareef’ (Praising upon prophet (saw).
Where Allah ‘Azza wa Jal teaching, ‘How you want to be zakee, how you want haqq to be in your life? You calling haqq to your life, how?’ because Allah’s Haqq is Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam; means then, make Durood-e-Shareef. It means an immense amount of salawat upon Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, immense amount of salawat upon Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
Prophet ﷺ will Teach you the Book and Wisdom
Then what was next after zakee? He is going to teach the Kitab (book) and a hikmah. Allah ‘Azza wa Jal giving all these realities in ‘feekum’, that if you make the Durood-e-Shareef upon Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam; that’s why now that is the medicine in all the tariqas. They go, ‘What’s the problem for this? What’s the recitation for this?
‘You make Durood-e-Shareef, continuous Durood-e-Shareef upon Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, that you make sure you’re under the nazar of Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,’ because you be with whom you love.
الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَب
“Almar o, ma’a man ahab.”
Prophet Muhammad (saws) said: “One is with those whom he loves.”
If your love is for Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, your whole nazar (gaze) should be upon Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Don’t worry about Allah ‘Azza wa Jal right now; Allah ‘Azza wa Jal is worried about you: “You keep the companionship of the one whom I love, ‘Qul inni kuntum tuhibbunallah, fattabiooni’.”
3:31 – “Qul in kuntum tuhibbon Allaha fattabi’oni, yuhbibkumUllahu wa yaghfir lakum dhunobakum wallahu Ghaforur Raheem.” (Surah Surat Al ‘Imran)
“Say, [O Muhammad], “If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.” (Holy Quran 3:31)
We are in the stage of tabi’oni (following); so don’t claim of Allah ‘Azza wa Jal if you are not following and not loving whom Allah ‘Azza wa Jal loves. We are in the stage to be trained, to be tabi’yeen, to keep the love. Then Allah ‘Azza wa Jal says, “If you entered into that station, ‘yuhibbukumullah’; then I love you.”
Nur Muhammad (saws) and Durood Sharif Burns the Nafs (ego)
So everybody out going and saying, ‘No we love Allah, we love Allah, we love Allah,’ but no love of Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. As a result, Allah ‘Azza wa Jal [says], “No zakee (purification) for you,” makes it clear, “Fattabiooni“. You want purification, keep the love of Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,” the light of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam begin to come and begin to clean, because Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam sees; that light sees and sees all the imperfection and begin to wash it away.
That light begin to move into the soul, into the nafs, and the nafs sees that light like a fire and wants to run from Durood-e-Shareef, wants to run from the presence of Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, because it has power. And as a result, they say, ‘Oh no, no need to make Durood-e-Shareef,’ Who’s saying that? The one governed by his shaytaan. The one governed by his shaytaan is under that fire. He says, ‘There is no need for that. It causes difficulty.’ Of course! It burns the shaytaan.
Prophet ﷺ is Allah (aj)’s Smart Phone –
He ﷺ teaches the Kitab through his Light
Allah ‘Azza wa Jal says, “Not only he purifies you, he’s going to teach you the Kitab and the hikmah.” How is Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam’s light going to teach the Kitab and the hikmah? It’s because Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is the Kitab of Allah ‘Azza wa Jal. Only now with our technology we are understanding information through light. He is Allah ‘Azza wa Jal’s smartphone. Wherever Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam’s soul is moving, he is emanating all knowledges and all realities. Why Allah gave us these technologies- to watch pornography? That’s what people use this smartphone, this mobile phone for.
Technology and Smart Phones are Signs of Spiritual technology
That mobile phone, if you want an app, you can download any version of Qur’an, any translation of Qur’an that you want; every hadith ever written, you download it; very knowledge, every scholar, every book- all on that device come by light and by energy immediately onto your phone.
Is it not a sign from Allah ‘Azza wa Jal’s greatness of what He put upon the real smartphone, the real Kitab, the real reality. That every reality is upon the soul of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. If the soul of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is next to you, means all the source of every uloom and every knowledge, every reality can begin to be conveyed to your soul.
That’s what you are understanding by your phone. When I have this device with me, because people are now budparast (idol worshiper); is there anybody who doesn’t keep their phone with them and they go crazy if they can’t find the phone! They go insane, ‘Watch videos of how people go mad. Why? In this phone I have every knowledge- I have my banking, I have my dunya, I have anything I want to google, everything’. And they know: Allah ‘Azza wa Jal says, “You know that you are keeping that kitab with you and every knowledge you are taking from the kitab.
What do you think is the best of Kitabs, the best of Allah ‘Azza wa Jal’s Creation? The symbol of what this reality should be is arwah an Nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Because we are weak, we need the transfer of light and energy through a device. And this device is giving us an isharat and a sign that: if you really perfected yourself, you are more powerful than this. You have to press this button and it has to go and transmit a signal.
If you open your heart and open up all your faculties, as soon as you make the real ‘Ya Hu’– that was the imitated ‘Yahoo’, that’s why they collapsed it. The real ‘Ya Hu’ is in your heart. When your device is clean and perfected, all your jinn and shayateen are thrown out; and the sahib and the owner of your heart takes the place of your heart. Means you have an entire kingdom more powerful than any device.
If that kingdom opens and is purified and cleansed, immediately it does, they press the real ‘Ya Hu’ and immediately all knowledges and all information begin to enter into the heart. But that is the presence of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. That reality, that dress that is going to come and give all knowledges of the Kitab, all realities and hikmah and wisdom and ta’lamoon and that which you didn’t know, the light of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam will teach. Means every reality flowing through that reality.
Pray Now, Don’t wait for Difficulties to come
We pray that Allah ‘Azza wa Jal open for us that understanding; that gives us the good character, that gives us the sweetness and perfection of character. In these days, we started by saying that: show our gratefulness and our thankfulness to Allah ‘Azza wa Jal. For anyone struggling to pray, look at your children and say, “Ya Rabbi, keep them to be healthy. Keep them to be good; keep them to be safe; don’t give me news that they went out and nobody came back, God forbid.”
Everybody has a reason to pray: don’t wait for Allah ‘Azza wa Jal to crush your world to get you to bow your head onto the floor. We are not the people who are waiting for Allah ‘Azza wa Jal to crush us to bow down, but to bow down through rahmah and mercy. [Saying] “Ya rabbi, shukr. Shukr for everything that you gave to me, ya Rabbi, of my safety, of my life, of my children, of my family, how You kept disease away from us, how You kept so many things away from us.”
It should be inspiration for everybody to increase their salaah. Every time you don’t want to pray, then imagine ya Rabbi, “What if Allah becomes angered in my life and [He] says that, ‘You need to be crushed to remember Me and to thank Me’.” And we say, “No ya Rabbi, we are not in need to be crushed. We are asking ya Rabbi that you dress us and bless us, and that we’re entering through the oceans of rahmah and that we have so much to be thankful for, so much to be grateful for ya Rabbi. bala yakshifu ghairuk.
Allahumma akshif ‘anna minal balaya maa la yakshifuhu ghayruk.
O God! Lift from us trials which no one but You can lift.
Keep all bala and difficulty away from us ya Rabbi. Don’t humble us with Your Punishment but shower us from Your Mercy and Your Rahmah, and grant us the love of Sayyiduna Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.”
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen.
Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa wa bi sirri Surat al-Fatiha.
Call People to Islam with Love and beauty – Not with ugliness and Fear
A reminder always that: make things to be beautiful, make things to be joyous, make things to be so sweet. And this is the sunnah of Allah ‘Azza wa Jal. If you ever stop for a moment and to read holy books, why Allah ‘Azza wa Jal describes for you a paradise like Disneyland? Why- ‘cause when you first come to deen and to religion, ‘Oh, this is so nice ya Rabbi! What is this?’
“I’m going to give you rivers flowing; I’m going to give you mountains; I’m going to give you grapes, give you maidens and gilman,’-for the women they gave gilman and for the men they gave the maidens- and you have pomegranates and you have trees with dates coming to you. Why Allah ‘Azza wa Jal giving you all that? Because when we first come we are in need of something, ya Rabbi, that, ‘I need,’. Allah knows our creation. Allah Says, “I have to give you something that entertains your thoughts and your mind.”
Allah (aj) Called us with Beauty of Heavens
So how come then when you want to call people to Islam you want to make it to be ugly? When Allah ‘Azza wa Jal said, “I called you with beauty. I didn’t call you with ugliness. I called you with all of its beauty. I told you about all of its paradises, all of its colours, all of its fragrances, all of its food, all of its rivers,”. In deserts with 150 degree temperatures, they could see it in their hearts that through this hardship we are going to a beautiful place.
Then Allah ‘Azza wa Jal is teaching us that sunnah, that: call people to love, call people to goodness, call people to that which is pleasing to their eyes. Make everything to be vivid, because for them it’s like a paradise- their eyes are seeing it and coming because of that. They are coming because of the sweetness, they are coming because of all the food – doesn’t Allah ‘Azza wa Jal promised food (grapes and dates and pomegranates)- they are coming for the food. They’re coming for all of its beauty and all of its fragrance and all of its goodness.
Later in life they recognise, ‘Ya Rabbi, thank you. I’m not coming for that anymore. I’m not coming out of fear of Your hell, I’m not coming out of my station in paradise. All I want is Your Rida and Satisfaction.’ Then they go deeper and deeper, ‘Ya Rabbi, all I want is to be at the Holy Face, that the nazar of the Divinely Presence to continuously dress my reality and that’s all that I seek.’
76:9 – “Innama nut’imukum liWajhillahi la nureedu minkum jazaa an wa la shukora.” (Surat al Insan)
(Saying),”We feed you for the sake of the Holy/divine Face alone: We wish not from you reward or gratitude.” (Holy Quran, the Human 76:9)
We pray that Allah ‘Azza wa Jal keep us on His Way. That make everything to be beautiful, make everything to be kind and peaceful and fragrant and filled with all of God’s bounty; and that people come through that love. Later within their hearts, they don’t need it and they still come out of that love.
Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa wa bi sirri Surat al-Fatiha.
