Allah’s (AJ) Greatest Mercy to Us is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ

In the holy month of Ramadan, the first ten days of Ramadan are the days of rahmah and mercy.

[عَنْ سَلْمَانِ اَلْفَارِسِيْ رَضِيْ اللهُ عَنْهُ، أَنْ رَسُوْلُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قال: ” شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ أَوَّلُهُ رَحْمَةٌ ، وَأَوْسَطُهُ مَغْفِرَةٌ ، وَآخِرُهُ عِتْقٌ مِنَ النَّارِ.” [المصدر: الإمَامْ اَلْألْبَانِي

‘An Salman al Farsi (ra), an Rasulullahiﷺ qala: “Shahru Ramadana awwalahu rahmatun, wa awsatuhu maghfiratun, wa akhiruhu ‘itqun minan naar.” [Al Imam al Albani, Meshkat al Misabih, Kitab 7, Hadith 9]

Narrated by Salman al Farsi (ra), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The first (ten days) of the month of Ramadan is mercy, the middle (ten days) is forgiveness, and the last (ten days) is salvation/freedom from the fire.” [Source: Al Imam al Albani, Meshkat al Masabih – 1965, Book 7, Hadith 9]

And alhamdulillah, from the teaching of awliyaullah that Allah’s (AJ) greatest mercy is Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. So, you put one and one together and understand that Allah (AJ) grant the souls an audience, and proximity with Sayydina Muhammad ﷺ. And through the siyam (fasting) of Ramadan to achieve these great lights and great blessings.

Every Action is According to Its Intention

And always a quick reminder that in these first ten days of rahmah (mercy), that while people are fixated about the time of imsak (stop eating to begin fasting), and how straight your back should be (during prayers), and how long the tarawih should be, is all nice but it is a big distraction from your reality. That, alhamdulillah, give or take a half hour before salatul Fajr, and you should be okay (for imsak). And when you worry too much about points that you believe to be significant, but you miss the greater picture. And that becomes the difficulty upon the servant.

That alhamdulillah, from ahlul haqaiq and the people of realities, they teach us that do your best, “Kulun ‘amalu binniyat” and Allah (AJ) is Ghafoor ur Raheem (All Forgiving, Most Merciful).

عَنْ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «إِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَال بِالنِّيَّاتِ.”
[صَحِيِحْ مُسْلِم: رقم ١٩٠٧، كتاب ٣٣، حَديث ٢٢.]

‘An Amirul Mumineen ‘Umar ibn al Khattab (as) qala: qala Rasulullahi ﷺ: “Innama al ‘aamaalu bin niyaat.”
[Sahih Muslim, Raqam 1907, Kitab 33, Hadith 22]

The leader of the believers ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab (as) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “Verily all deeds/actions are based on their intentions.” [Source: Authentic by Muslim: Number 1907, Book 33, Hadith 22]

Ask Yourself If You Are Partaking in Bad Actions While Fasting

The tremendous reality of Ramadan is not if you are two minutes off and two degrees short, and your back is not at a complete 45 degree angle. That is not it, but it is whether in the state of fasting that you have compassion and mercy within your heart. In a state of fasting, are you gossiping and backbiting and breaking every rule of Allah (AJ) and entering into bad actions, bad energies? You threw the Ramadan away, so why worry if the imsak timing is not correct?

It means shaitan has us worried about things that are…you can’t say are not important but are not the goal. And the things that are truly important, he makes us to be forgetful. And that is the difficulty. But alhamdulillah, by keeping the company of the rightly guided, they are not forgetful. Their heart is open, their eyes are open and they are being guided. They don’t miss the prize.

Without Good Character, Your Fasting is Negated

The prize of Ramadan is Allah (AJ) wants to grant you from these realities, from good character. By keeping the way of good character, not backbiting, not being angry, not cheating, not stealing, but having good characteristics, then Allah (AJ) can complete His ni’mat, complete His favours upon that servant. That is the dress, that is the blessing, and with those good characters, the soul finds its proximity and nearness with Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ; not that you are off by five minutes before you start your fasting. These are things that you understood it. Get over it, it’s finished.

But the main reality is that Allah (AJ) wants good character. It means if you are in a state of fasting and you don’t make your prayers on time, and you don’t have good character, and you are angry, you are yelling, shouting, stealing, cheating and interacting in incorrect fashions with people who believe or disbelieve. It makes no difference to Allah (AJ), his servants they are all His servants. What’s then the purpose of fasting? Everything becomes negated and the fast becomes something that didn’t achieve what Allah (AJ) meant for it to achieve!

The 9th Month Opens Reality of 81
Our Hands are Encoded With 81 and 18

From the knowledge of awliyaullah (saints), and their realities and teachings is that every month is a hijab (veil) and that this ship is moving in the oceans of ma’rifah (gnosticism) from their understandings where they move through Baab at Tawbah (door of repentance). And there is a Baab at Tawbah in Madinah Munawwarah to enter into the presence of Prophet ﷺ.

That through Baab at-Tawbah and through the realities of nine, and the sultanate of the number nine, they are moving. In the ninth month, they are entering now a tremendous Ocean of Power. And 9×9 opens the realities of 81 and your left hand is stamped with 81. It is your ‘upside down triangle’ with a line on it is 81. The right hand is 18 – perfect symmetry of your being.

81st name of Allah (AJ) – Al Muntaqim,
81st Name of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ – Dhul Fadl

Your left hand is there to remind you that the 81st Name of Allah (AJ) from Dalail ul Khairat (book of praising on Prophet ﷺ) is Al Muntaqim, the One Who Avenges. The 81st name of Prophet ﷺ that is dressing; it means every name of Allah (AJ) has to have a dress from Prophet ﷺ. It is the key, al miftah ur Rahmah, it is the key of all mercy. That when Prophet’s ﷺ name opens Ismullah (AJ). It means for that name, al-Muntaqim to open, it opens through the name of Dhul Fadl, the Source of Every Grace. Dhul Fadl, the [81st] name of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, means that is the Source of all Grace of Allah (AJ).

Shaitan Seeks to Destroy Realities Allah (AJ) Intended for Us

Then with tafakkur and contemplation, they begin to teach that when Allah (AJ) wants to grant us this dress and this honour, that Muntaqim, because people say why such a powerful name? Because it is so greatly needed. Where awliyaullah are making pleas to Prophet ﷺ, making pleas to all awliya above them that “Ya Rabbi, from Alastu bi rabbikum, qalu bala.”

﴾وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَ‌بُّكَ مِن بَنِي آدَمَ مِن ظُهُورِ‌هِمْ ذُرِّ‌يَّتَهُمْ وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِهِمْ أَلَسْتُ بِرَ‌بِّكُمْ ۖ قَالُوا بَلَىٰ ۛ شَهِدْنَا ۛ أَن تَقُولُوا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّا كُنَّا عَنْ هَـٰذَا غَافِلِينَ ﴿١٧٢

7:172 – “Wa idh akhadha rabbuka min banee adama min Zhuhorihim dhurriyyatahum wa ashhadahum ‘ala anfusihim alastu biRabbikum qalo bala shahidna an taqolo yawmal qiyamati inna kunna ‘an hadha ghafileen.” (Surat Al-A’raf)  

“And [mention] when your Lord took from the children of Adam from their atoms/loins – their descendants and made them testify concerning themselves, [saying to them], “Am I not your Lord?” They said, “Yes, we do testify!” [This] – lest you should say on the day of Resurrection, ‘Indeed, we were of this unaware.’” (The Heights, 7:172)

Ya Rabbi (O my lord), what we accepted and entered into this dominion, You put us against a fierce opponent. Against shayateen that is destroying everything that we thought we were going to achieve in this dunya (material world). He [satan] has the benefit of living an eternal life. He knows all the tricks. We come in for a short period of time and by the time you learn the tricks, your game is already over. He already defeated everything. So, it means that he is destroying our reality, destroying all the maqams and stations that Allah (AJ) had intended for the servant.

In Ramadan Allah (AJ) Wants to Dress Us With Divinely Light

So, by Ramadan and the realities of Ramadan is that you are entering into the nine and the Oceans of Power. That zikr that Allah (AJ) is making upon the 12 hijabs. These are 12 hijabs and lights that Allah (AJ) is eternally making a zikr (Divine remembrance) upon the reality of Prophet ﷺ, there is no time. So, it means Allah (AJ) is infinitely and continuously making these zikrs. On this month is the hijab of prophecy, its risalat. Its zikr is “Subhana man taqarrab bil qudrati wal baqa.”

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ تَقَرَّبْ بِالْقُدْرَةِ وَالْبَقَا

“Subhana man taqarrab bil qudrati wal baqa.”

“Glory to Him who draws nigh to His Omnipotence and Immortality.”

It is on our diagram of Shams ul Arifeen, “Glory be to the One who is omnipotent, Who is present everywhere.” That Power that is present everywhere, that never sleeps, never slumbers, never perishes. That light, that energy is what Allah (AJ) wants to dress upon the soul. Why? Because this is the ‘arifeen (knowers) and the way of Prophet ﷺ. What Allah (AJ) is dressing in this holy month, “Subhana man taqarrab bil qudrati wal baqa” is dressing the soul of Prophet ﷺ. [Q’n]

﴾…لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ. لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ...وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۖ ... ﴿٢٥٥

2:255 – “…laa taakhuzuhoo sinatunw wa laa nawm; lahu maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ard;…” (Surat Al-Baqarah)

“…No slumber can seize him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. ..” (The Cow, 2:255)

By Fasting, Allah (AJ) Dresses Us With Blessings That Nobody Knows

We are asking, ya Rabbi, that we are asking to be from these ‘ashiqeen (lovers) and ‘arifeen (knowers) and whom are like them. That our ship to be on their ship, and their ship is moving and traversing into that reality. Soffa, how are we going to reach it? Allah (AJ) says, ‘Make them to fast. This is not a reality that they can get by their salah (prayer). This is not a reality they can buy with their zakah (charity). This is a reality that only through their siyam (fasting), I will dress them. That what no prophet knows, no angel knows what lights I am going to bestow on them.

Souls of Awliya, Like Ships of Light, Dress All Passengers Aboard

They are merely passengers in this fulook and these are fulkil mashhoon, that they are loaded ships.’

﴾وَآيَةٌ لَّهُمْ أَنَّا حَمَلْنَا ذُرِّ‌يَّتَهُمْ فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ ﴿٤١

36:41 – “Wa ayatul lahum anna hamalna dhurriyyatahum fil fulkil mashhooni.” (Surat YaSeen)

“And a sign for them is that we have carried their atoms/forefathers in the loaded ship.” (YaSeen, 36:41)

Each soul, if we understood malakut and the world of light, that their souls are huge ‘ships of light’. And anyone who comes into contact with them wanting it, or not wanting, it doesn’t matter. Their soul will grab the atoms of other people, their other lights, grab them and make them to be a passenger upon their soul. And as their ships are traversing into the oceans of Prophet ﷺ, every zikr, every ‘ibadah, every worshipness that they are doing will dress all of those passengers with their atom. Just one of their atoms will be on that ship upon that soul of that servant traversing into those Oceans of Light.

Al-Muntaqim Destroys Everything Shaitan Put On Us

And that is why when they are coming into that ocean, that hijab begins to open; the hijab ar-Rahmah, hijab al-maghfirah, wa itqun minan naar.

عَنْ سَلْمَانِ اَلْفَارِسِيْ رَضِيْ اللهُ عَنْهُ، أَنْ رَسُوْلُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قال: ” شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ أَوَّلُهُ رَحْمَةٌ ، وَأَوْسَطُهُ مَغْفِرَةٌ ، وَآخِرُهُ عِتْقٌ مِنَ النَّارِ.” [المصدر: الإمَامْ اَلْألْبَانِي ( مِشْكَاةْ اَلْمَصَابِيحْ) ، كتاب ٧، حديث ٩]

Then they are asking, ‘Ya Rabbi, from Your sifat al-Muntaqim, that avenge us. Ya Rabbi, avenge what shaitan has put upon us and destroyed all these maqams and all these lights and all these realities You had intended for us.’ And only that sifat (attribute) can come like a hammer and destroy everything that shaitan (satan) is doing.

That everything he made, he put a horrible figure upon this beatific soul, and put every nastiness and dirtiness upon it, and thinking that he got away with it. Allah (AJ) says, ‘No, no, you wait until Ramadan and you see I am going to smash it and obliterate it as if nothing is there.’

Our Fasting Protects Us From Difficulty

When sifat al-Muntaqim comes, it comes and smashes and obliterates all that Allah (AJ) is not happy with. That is why in the month of Ramadan, you see so much difficulty on Earth. Eh, because Allah (AJ) loves all His Creation. If you are fasting, you should be very blessed because the state of fast protects you and obliterates all of the incorrectness. If not in the state of fasting, you should find this month to be tremendously difficult, much oppression, much difficulty. Allah (AJ) begins the shattering process for all the Earth, with all its flooding, will all its zilzilah (earthquakes), with all its destruction. Why? Because sifat al-Muntaqim is moving upon Earth.

Allah (AJ) Destroys Our Badness & Prophet ﷺ Dresses Us With Beauty

That if you are in a state of fast, you should receive it with bliss because the door of that fasting is coming from Dhul Fadl (the Source of All Grace). It means Sayyidina Dhu Fadl ﷺ is coming and teaching with every emanation, “Qul ya Naaru, kuni Bardan wa Salaman ‘ala Ibrahim wa ahle Muhammad ﷺ.” It means that reality of what opened for Sayyidina Ibrahim (as) of Holy Qur’an is an inheritance of Prophet ﷺ.

﴾قُلْنَا يَا نَارُ كُونِي بَرْدًا وَسَلَامًا عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ﴿٦٩

21:69 – “Qulna ya Naaru, kuni Bardan wa Salaman ‘ala Ibrahim.” (Surat Al-Anbiya)

“We said, O fire, be cool and Peaceful upon Abraham.” (The Prophets, 21:69)

That with whatever Allah (AJ) destroys of incorrectness, Prophet ﷺ dresses back with beatific oceans and beatific rahmah (mercy). That, ‘Ya Rabbi, You took away all its ugliness. Let me to dress it from my lights, let me to intercede upon that soul with my lights. What You dressed upon me, I dress it upon them, make them to be beatific pearls in Your Divinely Ocean and present them to You.’ On Eid ul Fitr, Prophet ﷺ is presenting these souls, pure and purified, into the Divinely presence.

We pray that Allah (AJ) opens for us these realities and these understandings. These are not small months. These are tremendous realities that take away oppression from us, take away difficulties from us and that Allah (AJ) dress us with Divinely Grace and that Allah (AJ) bless us with the proximity of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, Ahlul Bayt un Nabi (as) (Family of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ), Ashab un Nabi (companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) and awliyaullah from sama wa fil ard (saints of the heavens and on earth).

Subhaana rabbika rabbil izzati `amma yasifoon wa salaamun `alal mursaleen wal hamdulillahi rabbil `aalameen.
