From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

A’uzu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘aalameen, was salaatu was salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil Mursaleen, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadul Mustafa ﷺ. Madad ya Sayyidi ya Rasulul Kareem, Ya Habibul ‘Azeem, unzur halana wa ishfa’lana, ‘abidona bi madadikum wa nazarekum.

Atiullah wa atiur Rasul wa Ulil amre minkum. Always a reminder for myself, ana abdukal ‘ajeez, wa dayeef, wa miskin, wa zhalim, wa jahl, and but for the grace of Allah (AJ) that we’re still in existence.

أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنكُم… ﴿٥٩﴾‏ …

4:59 – “…Atiullaha wa atiur Rasula wa Ulil amre minkum…” (Surat an-Nisa)

“…Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you…” (The Women, 4:59)

Shawwal Carries Ismullah, Al Mani and Ismur Rasul, Ni’matullah

Alhamdulillah, with the holy month of Shawwal, it opens up the reality of the power of 9 by the 10^th lunar month, the secret of 90. Allah’s (AJ) Ismullah from Dala’il al khairat (Book of Prophetic praising), the 99 names of Allah (AJ), Al-Mani – the One Whom Preventer of Harm. The 90^th name of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, Ni’matullah, the immense blessings of Allah (AJ). The 90^th surah is Surat al Balad and the holy city, holy precincts. Some of the realities of the holy surah (chapter) when Allah (AJ) asking, ‘But he hath not attempted the ascension?’ and then another holy ayah (verse) from 90, verse 13 and, ‘It is to free a slave.’

﴾فَلَا اقْتَحَمَ الْعَقَبَةَ ﴿١١

90:11 – “Falaq tahamal-‘aqabah.” (Surat Al-Balad)

“But he hath not attempted the Ascent.” (The City, 90:11)

﴾فَكُّ رَقَبَةٍ ﴿١٣

90:13 – “Fakku raqabah.” (Surat Al-Balad)

“(It is:) to free a slave.” (The City, 90:13)

InshaAllah, Allah (AJ) dress from its hijab (veil) and its immense realities of the zikr (Divine remembrance) of this hijab in which Allah (AJ) is eternally dressing the reality of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ. “Subhana man dhul ’arshi ‘amma yasifun.” ‘Glory be to the Owner of the Throne, above all else that is attributed to Him.’

سُبْحَانَ ذُوالْعَرْشِ عَمَا يَصِفُونْ

“Subhana dhul ’arshi ‘amma yasifun.”

“Glory be to the Owner of the Throne, above all else attributed to Him.”

Hajjah Amina (Q) Reached a High Rank of Sainthood

Alhamdulillah, that the Urs Mubarak of Hajjah Amina Adil and the lights of her reality and her sainthood. From one of the forty abdal (rank of sainthood) of Sham as-Sharif and an author of the Muhammadan realities, and a spiritual teacher of ours that inspire the realities of shams ul arifeen (sun of knowers), the 12 veils of this reality and its eternal dress and the creation of the Muhammadan light. So, Allah (AJ) dress her darajat (spiritual station) higher and higher and that her nazar (gaze) always be upon us, upon our families and our communities. That her love and the immense love that emanates from her reality to dress us and to bless us and to watch over us and inspire within our hearts these realities that draw us nearer to Allah’s (AJ) infinite rahmah (mercy).

This is an immense rahmah from Allah (AJ) when He sends these awliyaullah (saints). That they put a light and a blessing within the heart and soul of the students so to as draw near to Allah (AJ). It’s by means of those ni’mats (blessings), those knowledges that the student is moving closer and closer to the reality of the Divinely Presence. We pray that Allah (AJ) inspire our hearts towards these realities that when we’re entering on this eternal journey every year.

We Can Only Reach the ONE By Being Nothing

Ramadan comes to annihilate the servant with all of their character and all of the badness that built upon them. It’s an immense mercy of Allah (AJ) to bring the servant into an ocean of annihilation in which Ramadan, Al-Muntaqim (The Avenger), destroys all the bad character, destroys the bad nafs (ego) and returns the servant to a state of purity like a newborn child. In that state, like khashiya (dust), like a nuqt, like a dot, Allah (AJ) opens the realities of Shawwal and the 10^th lunar month.

This is the opening towards the ascension into the malakut (heavenly realm), into that reality in which Allah (AJ) take the whole nation from their state of nothingness into the presence of the ONE. The reality of 1 and 0 opens for the servant and the reality of what this dunya (material world) uses as a binary code for all their technologies, all their advancements. For spirituality, the binary code is essential in our understanding. That the only way to reach to the ONE is to be nothing.

We Remain ON If We Allow Our Nafs to Overtake Our Reality

But mankind, they’re more interested in being something so they continuously keep the presence of being ON and self help, self everything; self this, self that is they’ve allowed their nafs (ego) to overtake their reality. The nafs only wants to be in existence. The nafs only thinks of itself as an existence. It continuously makes the servant to be in a state of ON in which they’re all about themselves, all about being ON.

Tariqahs (spiritual paths) come to teach: ‘Be OFF.’ So, all the teachings of: be nothing. That ‘be nothing’ is a way of teaching us on how to turn OFF. That what I want, turn it off. What I want to say, turn it off. When we’re getting angry, turn it off. All of these characteristics bring down the fire of the nafs. It means every time we have anger, every time we have these characteristics, it’s because the nafs is offended. The nafs wants to be identified. The nafs wants to show itself and then becomes more and more stronger.

Free Your Inner Slave! (Holy Qur’an, 90:13)

When Allah (AJ) is asking in this holy surah (chapter) that, ‘Why you don’t try the ascension?’

﴾فَلَا اقْتَحَمَ الْعَقَبَةَ ﴿١١

90:11 – “Falaq tahamal-‘aqabah.” (Surat Al-Balad)

“But he hath not attempted the Ascent.” (The City, 90:11)

Why is it that you don’t leave the circumference and leave your mulk (earthly realm)? Leave your physical world of form and ascend into the horizons and into the spiritual kingdom. ‘Why don’t you free the slave?’

﴾فَكُّ رَقَبَةٍ ﴿١٣

90:13 – “Fakku raqabah.” (Surat Al-Balad)

“(It is:) to free a slave.” (The City, 90:13)

The slave within us is the reality of our inner self that is being held captive. That to destroy the nafs, to bring down the nafs and allow the soul its freedom to enter back into the Divinely Presence instead of holding it captive with all the bad characteristics. So, that the reality of that balad and that city is the city of light, Madinatul Munawara (Luminous city of Prophet ﷺ) is to enter into the city of light.

We are Pushing Away from the Divinely Presence When We are ON

That make a life in which you are trying to leave only the physical understanding in our life, in our work, in our existence, everything just from the physical. But what is my spiritual reality and what is my spiritual purpose and where is my spiritual sustenance? Am I moving my soul towards that Divinely Presence to receive its inspirations, to receive its lights, to receive its blessings? These are the immensities of this month and the reality of the binary code. Everything that we do is if I’m learning to be OFF, I’m reaching towards the ONE.

We’ve described many times that if you come ON, you push yourself away from the Divinely Presence because it’s not an energy that can enter into that reality at this side. On the other side, it’s something different. On this side of the mulk and the world of form, it repels itself from the ONE of the Divinely Presence. To move into the presence of the Divinely Presence from the mulk, from the material world. As much as you’re ON, you’re pushing away from that reality.

Be Like the Nuqt, Just a Dot and Nothing More

So, then they teach you that if you really want to reach that reality, deflate your ONE until it becomes to come down. As your ONE is coming down, the ONE from the Divinely Presence is now beginning to appear. In their huroof (letters), in their writing, the 10 is actually just a 1 with a nuqt, just a little dot. We don’t have the 0 as a 10. 0 in Arabic is just a dot.

So, as much as we’re reducing ourself by the teachings because people are asking, ‘Why the shaykh is always telling us to be nothing, to do like this, to efface ourselves?’ It’s because the journey can’t be completed. All these lights and realities and knowledges can’t be sent upon the soul without this binary code, without this understanding of turning OFF. Just imagine our whole world without all these technologies.

Awliya are Heavenly Programmers Communicating in Codes

The technology only exists because of ON and OFF. They call it 1 and 0s. It’s a code that’s so high above all other numeric codes that every other code and program that written to reduce the amount of letters to numbers and letters, numbers and numbers. Machine language is a series of 1s and 0s. Humans can’t communicate in machine language. It means for us because the computer’s a symbol of our reality. Allah (AJ) says, ‘Programmers are like awliya (saints).’

That regular people, all they know are just letters. They typing all day long. Heavenly programmers are awliya because Allah (AJ) gives them codes. They know that certain sentences can be reduced to letters and numbers, letters and numbers like an analogy. They have very high-level programmers that they can communicate just in a numeric code, for example. But none of them can communicate in 1 and 0.

Only Ahad Communicates to Ahmad in Machine Language

That’s reserved for the reality of Ahad (The Unique One) and the reality of Ahmad (The Most Praised One). What computer people call ‘machine language’ that no, nothing can communicate at that level of reality. Allah (AJ) made the heavens and duplicated for people to understand their computers. Say that, ‘As much as you want, you can advance in your programming. But you don’t have the ability to communicate in 1 and 0s.’ They call it a machine language.

For those whom understood themselves, there’s a language in which only Allah (AJ) speaks to Prophet ﷺ and nothing enters into that; not Sayyidina Jibreel (as), not an angel, not a prophet, not anything in creation can enter into that reality. When Ahad is communicating by however Allah (AJ) wants to communicate to the reality of Nabi Ahmad ﷺ, that has an immense reality of lights and energies. That’s why Prophet ﷺ described, ‘I have a reality that always facing Allah (AJ)’ because it’s receiving from Allah (AJ) eternally. ‘I have a reality that faces the nation,’ and this has immense reality.

Allah (AJ) Continuously Tests Us to Reach a State of OFF

So, understanding of our spiritual binary code is an understanding that if I don’t learn from these shaykhs how to turn OFF, how to control my anger and my characteristics which are all a sign of being ON. So, if somebody says, ‘Can I reach to there and still be angry?’ Say, ‘no,’ because it’s sign of being ON. It’s not a sign of being OFF because Allah (AJ) going to continuously test, continuously test until the servant is able to deflate themselves and negate themselves. If they’re able to negate themselves, they reach to that reality of a nuqt (dot).

Ramadan is the immense maker of the nuqt. That when you come into the Ramadan and fasting by mouth, fasting by ears, fasting by eyes – fasting by all of our senses, fasting by our breath, Allah (AJ) is reducing all of these bad characteristics so that He (AJ) can open these realities upon the soul. Then they reach to their binary reality in which they’re nothing.

Ramadan Turns Us to a Nuqt, Shawwal Moves Us as Dust in the Divinely Presence

At that nothingness, the 10^th month of Shawwal comes and awliyaullah (saints) are moved in as dust into the Divinely Presence. Hence, the difficulty that we see all around us. When Allah (AJ), He show like everything just collapses in the presence of these immense qudra, immense powers. Allah (AJ) showing then, ‘Be dust in My Divinely Presence to be dressed by the Divinely ONE, to be dressed by its izzat and its might.’ InshaAllah, Allah (AJ) open for us its understandings and give us a life in which to…if we can achieve that nothingness and to be dressed by the reality of the ONE.

Then from the side of the Divinely oceans, Allah (AJ) make that nuqt (dot)to rise with energy and that ONE begins to reflect like a divine mirror to your reality in which you become the mirror of the ONE. That becomes the completion then unto the 12^th towards the hijrah (journey) and the appearance in the Divinely Presence. The hajj (pilgrimage) is not only to the Holy Ka’bah but the real hajj of the soul Baitul Mamur, to be in the Divinely oceans and Divinely Presence in which the servant is being annihilated then dressed and then blessed and took into the presence to be dressed by the Divinely Presence, inshaAllah.

Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
