From the Realities of Mawlana (Q) as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi.

I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the rejected one
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Question: What to recite for Laylat al Qadr (Night of Power)?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: Surat Al-Qadr. And that we have on the study of the months the, “Subhana man taqarrab bil qudrati wal baqa.” That continuously “Subhana man taqarrab bil qudrati wal baqa.” You open the app (Muhammadan Way App) – you can copy and paste now from the app. So, you can copy that month, you go into the awrad of the month and then “Subhana man taqarrab bil qudrati wal baqa,” you copy, paste, and push it into YouTube.
So, it means anybody has the app, they go to the ‘Months,’ they click on ‘Ramadan,’ they go to ‘General information’ and then that has the reality of the hijabs (veils) of every month. That’s the zikr (remembrance) of that month and in Ramadan “Subhana man taqarrab bil-qudrati wal-baqa.”
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ تَقَرَّبِّ الْقُدْرَةِ وَالْبَقَا
“Subhana man taqarrab bil qudrati wal baqa.”
‘Glory to Him who draws nigh to His Omnipotence and Immortality.’
That they’re entering into this lightning that it is an ocean of fana (annihilation) in which the lightning hit and destroy everything from form. And that they enter into this ocean of fana that its other side is baqa. That they be resurrected in their true reality. That this world of form and the mirror in which they appear in this dunya (material world) to be smashed, to be crushed, and what comes from the other side to be resurrected as something new and something real and something that is eternal, InshaAllah.
Question: One question relating to the Alif-Lam-Meem?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: InshaAllah, that anything that your questions that have to do with like inspirations and to prove your knowledge, don’t show your knowledge to the Shaykh because then they won’t open for you anymore. You ask your question on clarity. ‘I want to know about this, I want to know about that.’ But if he teaches you a knowledge and then you want to show yourself that you know something that’s tark al adab (leaving manners). So, don’t show that you know anything.
Anything that being revealed to your heart is for your heart so write it in your notes and for your understanding and to keep the way of tariqah (spiritual path). Otherwise if the Shaykh wanted to raise everybody with knowledges and all day long they wanted to challenge the knowledge back to him, they would have a school of chaos. So, anything that you’re being inspired is good, write it down, keep it, contemplate, meditate on it, inshaAllah. Anything that you need clarity that, ‘How do I do this? How do I recite this?’ Then no problem.
Question: During the meditation, what’s the benefit of holding a rock?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: Yeah, for now you can hold the hand to feel the energy and the pulse so that you are in tune with your energy that’s coming into your heart. For those who want to hold a rock, and the significance of a rock – there are certain stones that can heat up and they produce a tremendous amount of energy. And Allah (AJ) describe throughout Qur’an that the rock, your heart is like a rock. He says, ‘No, not a rock because rocks even can gush water from.’
2:74 – “Summa qasat quloobukum mim ba’di zaalika fahiya kalhijaarati aw-ashaadu qaswah; wa inna minal hijaarati lamaa yatafajjaru minhul anhaar; wa inna minhaa lamaa yash shaqqaqu fayakhruju minhul maaa’; wa inna minhaa lamaa yahbitu min khashyatil laa; wa mal laahu bighaafilin ‘ammaa ta’maloon.” (Surah Baqarah)
“Thenceforth were your hearts hardened: They became like a rock and even worse in hardness. For among rocks there are some from which rivers gush forth; others there are which when split asunder send forth water; and others which sink for fear of Allah. And Allah is not unmindful of what ye do.” (The Cow, 2:74)
It means they have a reality and they have a zikr and its Allah’s (AJ) creation and the zikr of different stones are important. The different crystals like rose crystal, they have a tremendous heat. For someone who wants to meditate and spark their energy and it’s not sparking, like a science class you can use a catalyst. That something that would speed the process of feeling the heat and that would be a rose quartz. Himalayan salt – same thing. This is a cleansing nature. The zikr of salt is a cleansing reality. So, when you hold the Himalayan salt and you make your tafakkur (contemplation), you begin to feel a heat coming and begin to feel yourself lighting up and heating up. That salt also has a cleansing, so it takes away a lot of negative energy from insan (human being). InshaAllah.
Question: How to keep balance?
Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi: Yeah to keep balance, InshaAllah. That it’s very important to keep balance. I think we started tonight by saying that. The way is not based on hearing these things and say, ‘Now I’m going to go run into a jungle.’ And that would be easy and the principles that Mawlana Shah Naqshband (Q) left for us, “Khalwah dar Anjuman.”
So, they’re not happy with anyone tries to retreat. You know we don’t want to get phone calls from family members, wives and parents that, ‘Oh! Where is my husband, nowhere to be found. He doesn’t want to go to work anymore. He wants to sit in a closet and just do his zikr.’ That’s cheating, that’s not Naqshbandi. Naqshbandi wants your dunya to be very busy, very complicated life, children, family; everything all around you and confusion but you have to find your solitude. You have to find your peace within your heart. If you’re isolating, you’re doing it wrong. If you’re trying to avoid everyone, you’re doing it wrong! You’re trying to cheat and that’s not what they want. Cheating, anybody can do that. Go sit in a bush and then hide yourself from all of creation.
But to be in the crowd and to be amongst people and train yourself on how to lock out and go into your heart. How to… people talk but you’re not there, that you’re keeping your connection with the Shaykh, you’re keeping your connection with your zikr, with your salawat (praisings). That brings the reward of Allah (AJ) and that’s what Allah (AJ) wanted from Naqshbandi awliya (saints) that they’re amongst people. They’re not hidden in the mountains of Pakistan, that was a different group.
These awliya, they’re under the order to be amongst people everywhere and the tajalli (manifestation) that they receive is very strong because of that. If you hide, they give you 10 watts, because you’re hiding, you’re not benefiting anyone. You get your 10 watts of power. But if you go into the city where you’re a shifa (healing) and a healing, you are a barakah (blessings) and a blessing for everywhere you go, they give you 10 million watts because the wattage has to be a lot more for the amount of people that are all around. So, it means the more difficult, the more reward. When you try to make something simple, that’s not what Mawlana Shah Naqshband (Q) wanted for us. So, it means that we keep amongst people. We work hard. We do everything that we can and we do our zikr and our contemplation. We struggle to keep the connection and to attend the zikr, inshaAllah.
Subhana rabbika rabbal ‘izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wa salaamun ‘alal mursaleen, walhamdulillahi rabbil ‘aalameen. Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa wa bi siri Surat al-Fatiha.
